DIECKMANN AMENDMENT IS APPROVED BY THE BRAZILIAN SENATE AND DEPENDS ONLY OF DILMA ROUSSEFF'S PRESIDENTIAL SANCTION NOW.

The access and unauthorized disclosure of information virtual, so-called cyber crimes, are coming to be punished based on specific legislation: on Wednesday, 31st October, the Senate approved the bill that deals with the matter.

Now, the project known as 'Dieckmann Amendment' goes to new analysis of the House of Representatives before being sent for sanction of President Dilma Rousseff.

If victims are public authorities, will also increase the penalties.

Are considered cybercrimes also interrupt or boycott sites, internet services and telephony, due to so-called 'hacker intrusion'. The proposed penalty for these cases is three years imprisonment, plus a fine.

The current Brazilian law does not provide penalties for the crimes committed on the Internet, you end typified as other crimes. The analysis of the matter stood for more than three months because of a parliamentary group considers that the planned changes should be approved along with other changes they plan to make in the Criminal Code.
