Hopefully, this goes better than the WBO version. What's going on? How's your day? Have you been hit by a random wave of inspiration? Are you disappointed in how a story came out? Watching anime? Listening to music? *cough*Natsuko Aso*cough* Pissed off about misspellings? (I normally am.) Say it out loud for the world the hear! Or at least PenPad Forums. Let 'em fly!

'Tis cold, snow it. And tiny. When wind blows snow around, it feels like needles. I think the only city in America that gets more snow that New York City is Chicago due to our close proximity to Lake Michigan, which is known for freezing over VERY easily. We went 10 years without a blizzard, and now Chicago's on its way to two in a row. Geezums.

Isn't it pathetic when someone bullies you? Like really, I've dealt with bullies for most of my life. This is highschool, come on, you'd think people would mature. Not have an "oi dey betta den mee so eye haff to bully emmm!" mentality. I know it's because they're jealous. No, I'm not one of those moms who tells you that to make you feel better, it is so true. How do I know this? First of all, I never interacted with this kid at all. In fact, I was very friendly towards them. And, this started after I got 100 on a Geometry test; higher than some kid who I honestly didn't give a flying floodle about. Immediately after said test is given back, he tries to pull that ''Ohhhh, I deednt studeee!" card on me. Oh, guess what? Neither did I. But he refuses to believe it and he continues to claim that I "spend my entire day studying and watching informational TV shows". You know, there's a new thing out there! It's called growing up.

I normally just ignore stupid remarks and insults, or use sarcasm and get my way out. Like today, in Living Environment, my teacher mentioned something about those science kids who like to watch science shows. And this kid says my name immediately after, to which I replied with, "I do, and they're very interesting." I actually don't, but thanks for the compliment anyway. So yeah, the whole ignoring thing; by the end of the day, I got tired of being "insulted" (if that's what you'd call it anyway), and snapped. I let my immaturity take over and made him look really stupid, and all was said and done nonchalantly. Some people just don't deserve my maturity; I'm not going to stand there and be "the better person" for some one who's too ignorant and stubborn. And just today, he asked me for help correcting his math test. Couldn't even get it the second time around? Yeah, real smart. But honestly, it just gets me really annoyed when people resort to bullying. Seriously, grow up. Luckily I'm a smart alec and a sarcastic person, so I can easily get my way out of the situation and reverse who actually looks stupid in the end.

Sorry, I just needed to vent. Continue on with your merry lives.

Hah, I'd hardly call them bullies; I'd call them something along the lines of "idiots" or "bafoons". Am I mean to any of you guys 'cause you're better than me? No. Why should they do that?

Why should they do that?
Why should they? They shouldn't. Why do they? Well, that's a whole different question. A few reasons might be, they are insecure, they are jealous, they are insecure about their jealousy, or they don't know how to approach you in a manner that gains your respect and gets them your help. Or, possibly, they are trying to make you feel worse in order to feel better about themselves.

Or, NooDoo, here's another possibility: they like you. Really, it seems like a very plausible. They have a crush on you, but don't know how to tell you. They also don't know how to get your attention/get on your good side, and it drives them nuts. In my (quite honestly very limited) experience, it is immensely difficult to confess your feelings for anyone. So, they resort to pettiness, and then try and ask for help. It supposedly works half the time. Ask for help, and go from there.

Or do what I do. (Continue doing what you do) The more sarcastic, the funnier. The funnier, the better. Sarcastic comments get you out of a great many binds.

Yeah., I don't really see a reason for people to not like an awesome person like Noodoo. Have you ever heard that "Haters Make You Greater"? Just think about that.

Unless it's someone I know, I don't give a carp 'bout what they think. It doesn't really affect you.

I always try to be as friendly as possible, and I only insult to defend myself from someone that insults me. I don't like initiating problems :/

So yeah, that topic aside, is anyone here on a robotics team (FTC, FRC, or FLL?)? I hope I'm not the only one...

Hah! My school's too poor for one, unfortunately. Also: I am an Angry Birds pro in my house. My family takes weeks to set high scores, I take 'em down in about an hour.

Well, the teams at my school (we currently have four; one for each grade level) raise money on our own. The school only provides us with a room and some materials like sanders and saws, but that's only because we already had them in the school. You could always get a lot of sponsors and they could cover the cost, selling stuff, and holding fundraisers, too.

I'm doing FTC's Bowled Over this year. Our club is supposed to have 12 members, with lots of overlapping jobs. Lots of people building, four fundraisers (myself included), five programmers (myself included. I need to learn how to do that first, though.), seven or eight robot builders (myself included), the works. However, at our five or six meetings, only two people have shown up consistently: me, and a sousaphone/tuba playing sophomore who I'm in band with. The rest have only shown up twice or three times. Needless to say, we're doing the majority of the work so far.

That's awesome; my school's teams are doing FTC's Bowled Over, too! Luckily most of our members frequently come, but the Sophomore team has one member that frequents. It's my first year doing this, but it seems fun so far. My main job is being the Mechanic and Website Designer. You guys have any ideas yet? Just looking for a 'yes' or 'no' answer, haha.

My school's team sucks, but they're still all elitist, like "We're a sucky robot team. Bow down to our failure." Then I do tha anime sweat and sigh thing.

My school has a football record of 5-2! That's really good for us!

Urgh. This is sad. Nobody wants to sponsor ANYTHING. Our whole school is based on going to college, and people are afraid that it might be a bad investment. Kinda like trying to supply football equipment for, say, BROWN University. Not really something someone will jump at.

WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED? I feel horrible, even though what happened was by no means my fault. Quite frankly, I AM a horrible person.

So, in Science, we (including the teacher) somehow got into a conversation about popularity. I, for whatever reason, blurted out "Almost all of my friends are on the Internet," and a few girls sympathetically said "Awwww..." Apparently, saying that gets you a lot of pitty.

Well, after class, I was talking to this one girl I kind of know, and she did the most outrageous, unacceptable thing ever. She kissed me. I mean, she's nice and all, but I have a girlfriend. And to make it worse, the girl who kissed me is one of my girlfriend's closest friends.

So, that's why I hate myself.

Yup, we do.

Temporal, of course no one wants to sponsor. The economy is still poor, and I don't think that it looks too promising at this time.

I saw that coming. (We Chicagoans still have our heads up our arse. A study/survey said that Chicago was the most optimistic about the economy. We have the highest sales tax, lowest budget, and sixth-highest unemployment rate in the country.)

I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY!!!!!

They gave out report cards today and that also means they announce the honors. Our honor system is not by rank; it is by average. If you reach this certain percent, you're this honor.

The percents:
90% - 4th Honors
92% 3rd Honors
94% - 2nd Honors
96% - 1st Honors

Last quarter I was 3rd. I'm a new student in my school so I felt that was good...enough. I was kinda disappointed last quarter because at my former school I was always first. So now I was extremely excited. At the last period, the teacher entered with the whole class's report cards. Everyone was totally nervous. They were like, "Oh my gosh! 'Cher NO!!!!". So it started from the teacher announcing the 4th honors. I kept biting the collar of my P.E shirt then went on to the 3rd honors. Then my heart leaped when I wasn't called in the 3rd honors. We went on to the 2nd honors and about the 3rd call, the teacher said, "With an average of 94.17%, second honors, (my name)!" I felt my heart do a bunch of leaps. I took the report card out of my teacher's hand. And as soon I got to the table I was like, "YES!".
Though, I'm going to make sure I'm going to get 1st for the next two quarters. I have to or else my shot at being first at honors will be ruined because the average won't fit anymore. These were my grades...if anyone is interested.
Spoiler: click to toggle

NOTHING COULD SPOIL MY DAY!! Unless this was all a dream.

...That sounds a bit...odd. They're saying it in jest. I guarantee it. Don't put too much thought into it. Especially teachers. And don't say that stuff in public. It's illegal, and you could get your teachers arrested for sexual misconduct with a minor.

But I feel horrible keeping a secret from her. She would tell me if she was in this situation. She'd completely understand what happened on my part, but I'm worried about her friendship with the other girl. She probably didn't know I was in a relationship, but my girlfriend might not know this...
