Many of us have been receiving letters/e-mails from colleges and universities, so I might as well. Here, you can talk about what you want to do in college, where you want to go, and what you've gotten/heard.

Okay, I just feel like throwing the CIS for a loop (Or the NCAA if I don't go to Windsor.), so I'm gonna play lacrosse. Ever seen a black kid play lacrosse? Right. Besides, it looks fun as hell. (And almost every university has at least a club team...) Besides, it looks a lot like playing QB, minus the hits. You'd have to see the field well, make good passes, and get the ball where it needs to be and not worry about stats. (Assuming I play attacker or midfielder...) It just looks cool. Besides, those helmets? Boss.

I looked up some of the colleges you've been mentioning (E.G. Swarthmore and Minerva at KGI), and they're both really cool! Minerva seems awesome, and Swarthmore's got some really nice programs. They're both what I would call "really good choices." As to your college counselor, that's why I dislike people who don't do what they say they will. I mean, it's his job to send in kids' college applications, so why is he late in doing it? Most of the work (if I'm not misunderstanding) is already done for him. As it stands, doesn't he just have to stick the postage stamp on it and send it on its merry way?

And speaking of colleges, I really need to start looking at where I'd like to go. I really want to get out of state, and I'm pretty sure my inaugural trip will be to the University of Chicago in the Spring. So, Temp, as the date approaches, I'll let you know; maybe we could meet up in the little spare time I have. (Wow. Having read that, I sound like a pedophile. Oh, well.)

I don't get stuck on anything; I just take a break and move to a new project.

I actually don't live too far from UC. I actually usually go to a math camp in their SSA building every year. (I could probably tag along for a tour, too. I need to decide if I'm going to keep UC as an emergency transfer option.) It looks like I'll be staying in Illinois for now. I got nominated for yet another full ride scholarship for Monmouth College (instead of Monmouth University). I'm 1-for-2 in interviews, and I plan on changing that. I seriously botched Posse with my lower-than-average-for-Posse GPA (at a 3.01), but I've got another chance. I did quite well in the Shimer College interview and got in, so I'm confident. I did well in the Minerva interview, so I'm going in with some momentum.

As for my counselor... He has officially missed the deadline for Minerva. I think I'm screwed. I sent an email explaining what happened, but I think I'm done for with Minerva.

Bah. Didn't get into Marquette. But I got into Saint Louis University, so that makes it better. I got 44 thousand bucks from Carthage College, but I'm not sure if I want to go. I'm waiting on Kansas and Amherst for now, and the others will come in time, I presume. (My app for Swarthmore just has to be processed.)
