Kurimu took a few casual paces across the hallway of the school. It was past the standard class curriculum, there was no official obligations for her to attend to. Yet, it is particularly uncommon for herself to remain for an extended time within the school compounds, reason being; she is simply waiting for a dear friend.

Quite unfortunately, she could only pass the time alone until she receives any message from her dear friend. Kurimu could only keep herself patient by pacing herself in step across the hallway while frequently checking her phone for both the time as well as the chance that some new message would arrive.

"...."

A headache started to grow over her impatience, this demands the complete opposite of her personality, yet... she was particularly requested to be patient as... well...

Sighing, Kurimu decided on a whim to enter a random room. Conveniently nearby is one of the art rooms of Ravencroft High, taking a brief note of her destination and taking a slight peek into the room, Kurimu confirmed the absence of anyone within the room and enters, promptly closing the door behind her as well.

With a flick of her wrist, Kurimu fanned herself a few times, lifting some strands of her vibrant red hair as she takes a few slow steps around the whole room. The various efforts plastered and forged all across the room in the form of artwork are put in display. Most of which are incomplete, of course.

Kurimu's breathing then slowed slightly as her eyes appraised the incomplete works of the students, holding her fan in her iconic manner in front of her face like a traditional Japanese lady. Her form is naturally perfect and proper, her back straight and feet kept close together.

Merely passing the time away, her attention could be drawn away easily if someone enters the room.

It was finally the afternoon time, and She still had to finish that one project her art class had given her. Though she was tired as it was, she still moved from her classroom towards the art room so she could get what she needed to finish the portrait that her class was given to work on. The teen had opened the door to the classroom, seeing all of the different paintings that were left out to dry from the previous class, but there was something she did not expect to see in the classroom.

A girl was standing in the classroom admiring the different portraits, Kris immediately noting her vibrant red hair, and her face that, curiously was being covered by a fan, so it was mildly difficult for her to get a good look at her.

"Um, excuse me." She spoke towards the girl, as she walked by towards one of the unfinished paintings, which was her's. A simple painting of a sunset over a beach scene. It was not one of the most impressive pieces out there, due to the simple fact that she has very little experience in using acrylic paint, though the entire scene seemed proportionate. She took a look at it for a second, then walking over towards the drawers that held the different paint brushes as well as the paint, picking out the supplies that she needed to continue her art.

The silence in the art room remained, Kurimu could faintly hear her own breath behind the paper fan held before her face, but that sense merely passed as she took in sight instead. Her eyes scanning slowly over the numerous canvases placed on erected stands over various spots of the art room. There were a number of fresh yet unfinished paintings, crafted from acrylic paint.

Kurimu remained alone for several more minutes, eyes trailed over other forms of art, namely the few sculptures of handcrafted clay.

As mentioned before and proven, Kurimu's eyes immediately locked on the door as it is pushed open, another girl entering in.

Kurimu's presence is immediately spotted by the girl bearing light brown hair, as their eyes met. The girl took the initiative and excused herself to continue her work of acrylic. Due to respond, Kurimu gently lowered her fan to expose her face, revealing a smile.

"Of course, do not let me keep you." She further expressed herself with a gesture with her hand that held her fan. The brown haired girl proceeded to obtain some materials, to which Kurimu naturally had her interest drawn away to her work. Taking a few paces closer, Kurimu took the same pose as before with her fan obstructing the view of her face as she proceeded to discover what was already painted out.

A simple form consisting of a sunset over a beach setting.

Truly simple, nothing ambitious at any angle.

"A comment, if I may, have you considered taking a greater risk than this? Electing to... add much more to the canvas."

As she had gotten the paint she needed, she heard the girl's voice from behind her, so she looked up at her, She heard her speak of the painting, which she could agree indeed, the painting did seem rather barren. There wasn't much in a sense of scenery, simply the sunset, the water, and the beach, though at the same time, she knew this was simply a start of the picture and it would need much more before it would be complete.

"What should I add in?" She asked this girl, seeing if she had ideas as to what she should put into the picture.

"Hmm... what, indeed..."

Kurimu leaned back a little as her eyes trailed to space, her mind trying to picture various possibilities that can be formed with what is remaining on the canvas. There is a limit, of course, as the canvas had already been filled with a certain degree of work. Obviously, Kurimu is in no place to demand any work on a brand new slate.

An idea formed up, a good one, in her own opinion, as she declares with a self satisfied smile.

"How about this then?"

Kurimu starts, folding her fan out and indirectly pointing at the waters.

"A military ship, made of steel, painted to be the most absolute contrast over the rest of your work."

"Only then, you can work on two contrasts, the sombre display of such a piece of man-made machinery while you can bring out your best to balance out on the rest as well."

She then returns her fan to her face, eyes closed slightly while her expression's change is hidden away.

"That is of course, merely my own opinion... -Oh, I would most definitely wish for the Battleship Nagato. That was first laid in the Showa Era, a much prided vessel of those years."

She had responded once again, pondering, then speaking about, adding a battleship?!
A painting that she originally intended for it to just be a peaceful painting to help her develop a basic atmosphere and she had told her the best idea was to add a battleship.

Needless to say, Kris knew she couldn't do a battleship, heck, making one in the background with the amount of detail, was a bit more than she could personally handle.
She turned around back to her picture, trying to think of something to say as she blurted out,
"Isn't, that a bit much to add to a picture like this? I don't think I can even paint a battleship." She explained.

Finding Kurimu's suggestion of a battleship is reasonably too much, as expected due to the amount of detail and extreme contrast compared to the rest of the canvas. Kurimu simply accepted the girl's comment and simply gave a light nod, falling back to a brief moment of silence with her fan before her again.

What would be fitting then?

There was also a certain element in her mind that is pulling her to keep thinking about contrasts.

"If a steel wonder would be too much... I have another suggestion - something of nature then?"

"This might not be too much, but will take certain degree levels higher in terms of effort."

"An impending thunderstorm arriving from the waters, if you may indulge my suggestion that still require a stark contrast across the canvas."

There is a little more hoping within Kurimu that this would be accepted, any less would start going below her own personal expectations.

An impending thunderstorm? She couldn't believe what she was hearing, what she was intending originally to be just a simple calming picture of a beach scene, this girl kept thinking of different dramatic scenes that would add a rather scary scene to the picture.

She looked back at it, and she tried to think of something else, that would take the thought away from these things,
"Maybe something a little less... dramatic to put towards the picture?" She suggested.

Is it still not yet satisfactory to what the origin artist wants?

Or was it that herself was too demanding?

Either way, Kurimu grew a slight displease over the two consecutive declination of her ideas. With a soft sigh, Kurimu fell back to a short moment of silence as her eyes scanned over the canvas once more. In the end, all that Kurimu could respond by is...

"Well then.... what would you see then? What would you wish to draw before continuing on your work?"

Shamelessly, Kurimu passed the ball to the girl to come an idea of her own.
