As far as Rei was concerned, morning people were the absolute worst sort of people. A rare breed in and of themselves, it was simply inhuman to be functional before one had their first cup of coffee, and beyond that... to say you enjoyed the first two or three hours after you woke up? Well that was comparable to someone saying they enjoyed sleeping with the lights on: it wasn't necessarily unheard of, it was often dependent on situations one had no control over, and yet there was still something about it that went against the grain. At least, those were the thoughts that turned through the bluenette's head as he made his way into 4-A on an otherwise dreary morning only to be bombarded with a wall of noise. Idly the male gestured with a stainless steel bottle filled with coffee to someone at the back of the room who greeted him, though it was apparent solely by the dark circles under the bluenette's eyes that he had not been sleeping well in the slightest. That, and the simple fact that the other person was uninteresting resulted in something of a delay reaction until at last, he took another sip of the drink. Only to immediately let out a breathy sigh as he made his way toward his desk. As he idly sipped on that bizarre mixture of his (a double shot of espresso and a small amount of chocolate syrup, as regrettably there was no sugar in the cupboard, if only because it seemed to be just his luck that on the ONE day he actually made a cup of coffee instead of tea, they would have neither milk nor sugar,) the student continued eyeing the door or darting about the room in search of something or someone to hold his faltering interest. Eventually the bluenette adjusted his glasses and allowed his mind to wander. It had seemed that the majority of people were sleepless in some way, and yet despite that they all seemed to be engaging in conversations that were infinitely loud. One felt as though they should have joined in with one of the many groups around the room, and yet no one he knew well enough to actually speak with had arrived, nor had any of the people at present said or done anything that was even remotely of interest. So he glanced at the clock, simultaneously repeating the time as the discovery dawned on him... "It's only ten to eight..." One had felt like drooping on their desk, but the idea of generating such a noise or attracting any level of attention was irritating. Even in looking as though one was ready to sleep when not in class would have made one think something had gone wrong, and so Rei simply continued to observe, his stoic expression exuding an omnipresent air of disdain as he drank his neither bitter nor sweet drink only to exude a sigh every time he did so. Note to self: drinking tea without additives is perfectly fine. Drinking coffee without them is nothing short of an atrocity, regardless of the drink's quality. |

There were no words for how much Mana hated being alive at the moment, she was awake for most of the night working on more designs not to mention wrapping up Duke's gloves took longer then she wanted it to. But of course the silk she was using to line them decided to play hide and seek with her until 6 in the morning. 'Duke better be happy with these and actually use them or so help me I'll kill him.' she thought grumpily as she gripped the package the gloves were in tightly. Trudging her way to the classroom Mana yawned and used one hand to rub the sleep from her eyes, her mood befouled by the morning's events. Scowling at the memory of her mother literally rolling her out of bed and into a kiddie pool filled with ice cold water, she sighed at the thought of her lost sleep. Because had her mother not done that, she would have happily slept until she was actually ready to get out of bed. Frowning at the fact that everyone around her seemed to be so full of energy when the day had barely begun she made her way into the classroom outright ignoring the greetings from a few members of the clubs she was part of in favor of sitting down and hopefully resting her eyes until class started. Next to a blue haired boy who was lazily sipping at something and letting his eyes wander around the room Mana found a spot that wasn't wrapped up in giggling or pointless drivel and so she chose to make her way over. Dropping unceremoniously into the seat next to the boy Mana finally got a good look at his face and saw the dark bags under his eyes. Propping her head up on her arm with a light yawn she decided to speak "Yeesh you look like you're in worse shape than I feel, your folks toss you outta bed early too?" |

The bluenette continued to idly glance around the room in the hope that something would interest him, as to be interested was, in the current situation, akin to being simultaneously awake and sane. Yet sadly it seemed that one could not have both and was instead restricted to one or the other: Rei could have just as easily fallen asleep as he did in class rather than finding something of interest, or he could have involved himself in someone else's rather boring affairs, which would have been akin to going completely and utterly crazy in the slowest, most life-ebbing and soul-sucking way possible. Thus instead of joining on a conversation or going to sleep as he had originally intended, Rei simply tried to down as much of his coffee as humanly possibly without resorting to messily guzzling it. It seemed that with each passing sip the mixture (which was clearly lacking in chocolate syrup despite his adding and mixing a spoonful or two in,) was not nearly as regrettable as one had originally found it to be. In fact, it seemed as though the more the bluenette drank the more he desired more until at last, he was down to almost nothing though the liquid inside was still fairly warm. So he turned to sipping it just as he had moments prior. As he did so, watching the door all the while at first before again turning his gaze to the sky and courtyard outside the window immediately left of his desk, the student's ears picked up on someone else moving to sit directly next to him and so, he looked. Only then was he faced with the appearance and voice of a girl he frankly should have known (they shared a home-room, after all!) but who had no name to go with her face. Though that fact was soon discarded in favour of addressing exactly what she said with a rather groggy shake of the head. Naturally when Rei spoke it came across in the usual stilted and apathetic manner, though the mixture of coffee and sleeplessness resulted in some fatigue bubbling below the surface and a somewhat dry mouth, so the aforementioned traits were enhanced ever so slightly, "No. I slept for four hours last night, but when my alarm woke me I didn't feel rested at all...." One had almost wanted to comment on how odd it was that her parents felt a need to wake her up, though obviously such a thing wasn't particularly unheard of in extreme situations or when one decided it was time to sleep in. Naturally Rei let that particular question recede to the back of his mind, silencing it only with the acceptance that either she had to be up earlier than whatever her norm was, or she had tried to sleep in. Regardless, he continued, "And believe me, I don't think there is a scale or measurement for how fatigued I feel right now. I find myself either sleeping too little or too much on a good day, and though four hours is actually normal for me the quality of sleep isn't. Though I have to ask... do I really look that bad? If so, I'm surprised no one else has commented on it... Even still, you look to be rather tired yourself." |

"Four hours huh? Well that would explain the circles under your eyes I guess." Yawning again Mana let her arms and head drop to her desk and nestled herself into a comfier position. Keeping one eye cracked open and looking at him so he wouldn't feel like she were disinterested with the conversation she continued talking. "You ever try just not setting an alarm? It's worked wonders for me outside of the whole missing class thing anyway." She grimaced at the memory of her parents disappointment over her missing so many morning classes. As he continued speaking mentioning something about there being no scale or measurement to show how he felt an amusing thought popped into Mana's head and in her sleep depraved glory she blurted it out without even thinking "Why not vampires? I mean they seem like a good measurement of fatigue in the sense that they sleep 12h straight and all." Far too amused at the image she added "Especially with the fact that you just said you sleep odd hours. Vampires are like the perfect fit!" A bemused smile crossed her face as he asked her if he really did look bad. "Kinda, and to be fair you don't look like you'd really respond to people even if they did point it out." She shrugged, chuckling lightly when he pointed out that she seemed tired herself "Heh, yeah I'm friggin exhausted. Was up till 6 am working on clothing and putting the finishing touches on a gift for a friend. Couple that with an hour of sleep before you get rolled out of bed into a kiddie pool of icewater and well, here we are." She motioned with one arm to the surrounding area. Propping herself back up on one arm she began extending her hand to the boy giving him a tired smile as she did "Oh, right. My name's Mana by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you Blueberry." |

Certainly Rei hadn't thought of it in the manner Mana had described, solely because it seemed on a good day he got anywhere between four and thirteen hours to the point where his body was used to such drastic fluctuations and thus, had learned to adapt. On the former, it wasn't scarce to see him napping about 12 hours after he awoke for a similar span of time, whereas the latter tended to lead into the former. Rather, it seemed the bluenette, despite his nod of acknowledgement and affirmation, didn't particularly like the notion that his otherwise ivory face had been marred by such dark circles. Either way, if rest actually found its way to him in the coming days, they would have been gone without a trace, as though they had never been there at all. This in itself gave the scion some degree of solace in his injured vanity, solace that was only marred by the notion that he could have had further restless nights, which would have in turn not only perpetuated the problem but made it far worse. Deeper, darker circles, which would have effectively turned the otherwise feminine face, those sharp red eyes, into something worthy of detest. but regardless the instant that particular thought entered the male's head it was swept away by some greater force, as though it was immediately censored or blocked out in favour of more positive thoughts. That, and Mana's suggestion had reached his ears. One that was met with only slight laughter, but was soon met with a rather groggy response as the youth folded his hands and leaned on them slightly, as though that alone kept his face above the desk. "I would much rather be here than in bed. I enjoy sleeping, and I dislike tedious schoolwork, but often I find that if my work isn't done in class in a short period of time, it won't be done at all. That, and it keeps my mother from pestering me." The bluenette replied with a gentle shrug, though in all actuality one couldn't help but feel cheated out of the fact that his mother had, regrettably, effectively ruined his chances of graduating early solely by instilling him in any public or private school system. Private tutoring in Japan was perhaps the only good thing about either education OR Japan, as it allowed for grade advancement Runako Takeda wasn't willing to allow solely on the grounds that her son was "not going to university at a very early age." What idiocy! It would have been much better to nurture one's talents early on, rather than subjecting that very same person to monotony. It was hypocrisy too, and if there was one thing deliciously ironic about the scion, it was that he hated hypocrisy. You know, despite exhibiting it from time to time. A small sigh escaped him, though it was quite clear that after the fact his stoic expression had turned into something of a smile at the notion of vampires as a unit of measurement. It was ridiculous, certainly, but the sheer insanity of it was almost humorous in and of itself. Though, immediately after the girl had finished Rei didn't bother to reply, and instead suppressed his original smile back into that ocean of grey that was his apathy. Frankly the next statement was an interesting one, solely because it seemed Mana had pointed out something that Rei himself wanted to strongly deny despite knowing it to be true. Then there was the explanation that came with it, one that he could not dare say for fear of being ignorant, rather than exhibiting that forced politeness common in social interactions. It wasn't so much a lack of response out of ignorance, but a lack of response out of disinterest, which in itself could have been far more negative in nature. Rei adjusted his glasses, taking in the remainder of Mana's story with a small frown. Certainly she had received less sleep than he did, yet the manner in which she was woken up sent a small chill through his body. Even as someone who enjoyed the cold, who had only been woken up in one particualrly uncomfortable way (beyond an alarm,) it seemed positively hellish to be jolted awake in that manner. Yet as the shivers died down he caught her introduction. Blueberry. Blue. Berry. A deep exhale escaped him, one of mixed disappointment and irritation that was not carried over into what he had to say next, "Blueberry." He repeated flatly, before giving his own introduction. "Rei Takeda is my name. I'm aware my hair colour is... odd to say the least." He wanted to follow it up with a statement regarding "Blueberry" but didn't, instead trying to change the topic to something more interesting than that. "So, Miss Mana... what exactly is your craft, if you were up so late making something for a friend?" One had been mulling over the possibilities in his head. Frankly there was the obvious: sewing or something of that nature, though art or music were other options. As were virtually anything else requiring an eye for detail and an abundance of precision, such as building more abstract things like furniture, even if Mana didn't particularly seem to be the type. Thus Rei quickly omitted the final possibility, instead returning to the first two. After all, what purpose could an individual have for a song? |

"I know that feeling blue, I would much rather be at home and under my blankets still." She yawned once again as she said that burying her head in her arms again. "I on the other hand rarely come to this class so I never really know or do what work we get." Smiling lightly at Rei's statement of his mother pestering him she sat up and stretched. "Hah, so your mama hassles you about school too?" She caught the light smile the boy held when she stated vampires to be a unit of measurement for his exhaustion. "So you do smile eh? Good to know." She chuckled at the flat tone his voice held as he repeated what she had called him "Yep, I called you Blueberry." Raising an eyebrow she added "Whats the matter not fond of getting a nickname?" Smiling when he gave her his name Mana nodded. "Well Rei Takeda, I kinda dig the blue. Like it suits you yanno?" She shrugged when he said it was odd "Eh, odd is good though I mean why be 'normal' when you can do your own thing?" "My... Craft?" Despite the fact that the conversation was doing well at waking her up it still took Mana a moment to understand what he meant "OH! You mean like what do I do. I design clothing and as for what I was working on it was a pair of heavy gardening gloves for a guy I know." She reached down and pat her bag at that. |

A small nod of affirmation came from the bluenette, solely because to be under one's blankets was effectively like being in a sanctuary. It was somewhat odd, how someone who loathed their childhood and the bedridden nonsense that came with it he was perfectly content to lay in bed all day whenever he could have gotten away with it. After all, reading a book or surfing the web from a semi-slouched position backed by pillows was far more comfortable than even the leather chair at his desk, even if laying effectively meant one had to contort their body in order to type. In fact, he was just about to comment on such a thing when Mana followed up her initial statement twice. First the bit about rarely coming to class, which was completely and utterly ignored. After all, he had just said not a moment ago that the only reason why he even bothered was to avoid chastising. Naturally this effectively meant that to comment was a moot point, and having nothing to add he instead allowed his mind to wander over the second. It wasn't so much that Runako Takeda pestered her son to attend class in the traditional sense, but rather the notion of being clung to at varying points throughout the day was in itself a deterrent to laying in bed, as was any sort of guilt-tripping regarding the future of her company and nonsense of that sort. Frankly, one had always wanted to retort with the fact that if it wasn't for her, he could have simply graduated and moved on with his life at a rather early age much as she did, but as he'd often read... "this is why we can't have nice things" or something of that sort? Or was that even really applicable? Regardless, Rei gave a verbal response as well, "Somewhat. I don't think she sees it as bothersome but rather something positive, but to me it's dreadful." With that, his mind again began to wander around the room in that sort of sleepish way, as if every single person was an out of focus grey blob that had to be identified every single time the red-brown eyes passed over them, only for the light to contort and their features at last came into view. Of course, the only exception to this was Mana, solely because she remained in such close proximity that so-called "early morning vision" couldn't affect Rei's perception of her. Immediately he snapped his gaze back to her when she commented on his smile, an action that in itself forced that expression to recede back into stoicism as though it had never been there in the first place. Of course, though one couldn't have known it it wasn't the fact she'd commented on it, nor was it the manner in which she did it or even the fact that Rei knew he was smiling. Rather it was almost perfectly instinctual, in the same way one would censor themselves in the workplace. "Well, I know it looks good... but I've heard just about every nickname possible. It's inevitable one would tire of those things." Another small nod of acknowledgement came when she answered his questions, though it seemed as though the youth's mind instead wandered around the fact she hadn't quite understood what he'd said at first. Of course, although Rei was a particularly proud person, it was only human to immediately think the fault laid with oneself, though Mana's answer seemed to prove to him that it was actually an issue of her alertness as opposed to his rather... "cliche rich guy" speech. "I see. How long have you been doing that, exactly?" |

She couldn't help but giggle lightly when he started going on about how he knew it looked good "Ooh, cocky are we? What would you have done if I had said it looked silly instead? Perhaps I should have said you'd look better blonde or with bubblegum pink hair." Mana hummed as she raised an eyebrow looking at him in tired amusement. "And as for the nickname thing, just cause you heard 'em all before doesn't mean you can't have fun with 'em yanno?" Once again due to the higer power of still half asleep Mana barely understood what Rei meant when he asked how long she had been at it, before cluing in to the fact that he was still talking about her designs. "Huh? Oh, ummm lets see... I've been doing designs for about four or five years now give or take a couple months." She shrugged as she spoke. "Although, I really should see if I can get a good cup of coffee from the cafeteria because there's no way in the nine hells I can stay awake all day at this rate." Another yawn emphasized her statement as she stood up, leaving her bag where it lay she looked at Rei "So, Blue you feel like joining me or you gonna just stay here and wait another thirty five minutes for class to start?" |

The time had come. Previously, he had been given 'lessons' in the art of parkour, of being able to move in ways through the urban jungle or even up buildings in ways that seemed impossible. It was -to his mind - one of the craziest and dangerous things to sudden do on a whim. And yet, he had been shown how. The Hatto-san stood at the edge of school property, carefully mapping out in his mind the way to do this. Once he got up that overhang at the entrance, it was all about window ledges. "Hatto-Leap!" Picture in your mind a young man in hat and trenchcoat running at a wall. This cannot end well...can it? Well...after months of on-off practice, reading up on the subject, and actually studying the school wall...you'd be surprised. So might Hakuro, as he executed a leap to turn his forward momentum into upward momentum, his shoes using his speed for quick brick-grip in the ways he had been shown and read, fingers narrowly gripping and pulling up, up, up - never stopping, even as he got to the overhang. He just went directly for a window ledge, still going, transferring his weight and shifting his direction so an imbalance becomes a catapult to a higher ledge that he can take and pull himself up to. This went on, and if anyone was looking out those particular windows, they'd see this Hatman there, for just an instant, while there was probably more than one onlooker, possibly one or two that he knew personally. He didn't care. He was almost there. It was right there, the last window! He'd made it to the fourth floor! Hakuro Kuroda flung open the window to the classroom, stepped in, and shouted... "I DID IT! I AM KING! I...uhh...is this Room 4-B?" There was a resounding "Yes" in response from the students. Hakuro flinched at that, embarassed slightly. "Oh...sorry." And he stepped back out again! He simply went to the next window, opened it, stepped inside again, and said... "Still good! That was exhausting..." Aaand he collapsed into a chair, coincidentally his own. He then began to pack away his hat and trenchcoat, as they did not like him wearing it during class hours. |

Ash walked down the 4 hallway, currently fitting entirely too snugly into his uniform jacket, only making the anxiety of his first day of school in two and a half years that much more uncomfortable. 2XL had been the biggest they had on hand, and while heightwise it fits, the big guy just has too much shoulder for his own good, and his rather bulky arms are filling out the sleeves to the point of making it damn near skintight. He'd even managed to shave today! So he'd have til about 2 in the afternoon before he had 5 o' clock shadow. So maybe the 21-year-old wouldn't look entirely out of place in homeroom before he filed off to his high school classes. Alright Ashi, first day of senior year. Again. This is nothing. You've wrestled an actual wrestler. You've escaped a burning building. You've literally punched out a bear. Why the hell are you getting all butterfliesy over school? This internal monologue came as Ash stood stock still outside the door to the classroom, frozen in place for a moment, as people walked by and wondered who this man was in high school. Fuck it. LOO-CHA-DO... Ash flung open the door, probably a bit too hard, so it swung wide open and made it very clear he was standing there, and now probably being stared at by every single person in the classroom. "...rey?" He kinda stood there for a moment, blinking, caught like a deer in the headlights, before coughing slightly and caaaaaasually reaching back over to close the door behind him as he walked in. "...uhm. Sup? Ash--- er... Ashton... Kelly... first day of classes? ...hai?" Ash was secretly still screaming in his own mind, hoping someone else would say something so he stopped looking like the |

Disappointing though the morning had been initially, one could not help but feel a renewed -if slightly stilted- sense of joy regarding how quickly things had picked up. Certainly Rei found himself again glancing to the clock, though before it had been solely to judge how much time he had to wait before the equally boring, but marginally less irritating nonsense truly began. Now, however, it was purely because as per the old saying, it seemed as though just when something of interest had made itself apparent, time began to fly, halted only with a glance in its direction as though it was an entity unto itself: perfectly afraid of people who were conscious of its passing, but willing to prey upon those who did not care. Naturally, a grin spread across the bluenette's face only for it to recede back into stoicism at the notion he would have looked better with other hair colours. Of course it had simply prompted mental images of pinkish or reddish hair, neither of which seemed particularly fetching solely because of the contrast with his current hair colour. As for the blonde, it too was met with dislike, though the reasoning was solely because one could not help but picture the sort of unnatural, golden dye the majority of people tended to use, which in turn was nothing short of sickening due to that oddness. At the very least, if a dye was to be used it should have at the very least looked natural on the person in question. Certainly blue was not a natural hair colour, but it had both felt and looked right, even in comparison to the natural black... though that black had seemed unnerving due to how it contrasted with the serpentine lips, frail figure, and equally dark clothing. "I've simply been told it looks good. If other people believe it, it must have some element of truth to it. Admittedly I think it's a fitting colour regardless." A small sigh and an adjustment of the glasses ensued, as did a nod of affirmation to Mana's statement regarding nicknames. Perhaps it was solely because "Blue" had been the only truly endearing one that Rei was so averse to the notion of anything else. Either that, or Blueberry or Blue Boy were both much too embarrassing for his simultaneously dense and fragile pride, at least enough that they could cut a path through the wall and to the very core of his being. Just enough to make him ever-so-slightly irate. Further nods of acknowledgement of that sort came when Mana answered his question, if only because such a question was in essence, nothing more than a courtesy. Certainly tailoring attire of any kind was interesting solely because one had never done it, yet the bluenette was fully aware that it was not a hobby he would have enjoyed just as much as he disliked cooking. In fact, the very thought of cooking was almost enough to cause the stoic expression to sour into a frown, solely because one could not help but be interested in it, and yet being bad at it was enough of a deterrent on a number of levels. Regardless, it did not happen. Rather, the scion's expression turned into a grin at the notion of coffee, as though Mana had mentioned a Holy Grail of sorts. "Admittedly, I've only been to the cafeteria once or twice... I had no idea they served coffee. But yes, I'd be happy to join you." Naturally he stood in a semi-sluggish manner, preparing to leave for the cafeteria when a sudden sigh from behind fired the senses. Immediately Rei paused, turned, and allowed his smirk to widen only slightly more than before, if only to mask the sheer surprise and confusion that bubbled beneath the surface. Tempted to ask not only how Hakuro had made it into the classroom without using a door as well as--- well, why he didn't use a door in the first place, though the latter was soon suppressed. "What an interesting entrance. Though one is tempted to ask exactly how you did it. Perhaps you'd like to explain it over a cup of coffee.. Mana and I were just about to go for some." As though she needed an introduction, the bluenette gave a slight gesture to the girl before again turning to leave the classroom regardless of Hakuro's reply. After all, it didn't particularly matter how many people ended up sharing a cafeteria table, and if anything it would have only made the conversations more interesting. Yet simultaneously, the true goal was coffee, rather than conversation. Indeed Rei was just out of reach when the door swung open, the force of it setting his hair and jacket marginally adrift. Following a slight jump of surprise, a deep sigh of irritation escaped him as he took in the person standing on the opposite side of the door just as everyone else did. A second escaped him, and the smirk finally managed to regress back into stoicism as a particularly irate mantra became apparent, only to be replaced by a single thought of, You've got to be fucking kidding me. A third sigh came, and with it an adjustment of the glasses, followed by running his fingers through his hair in an effort to ensure nothing was out of place. Finally he broke the silence, just after the new student did... though the tone was marginally less stoic than it had been before due to the sudden amount of insanity in the room. First, Hakuro had somehow managed to "ninja" his way up through the window (either that or he'd simply appeared during a moment of unalertness) and then this. If anything, one had wanted nothing more than to save the larger student from the potential embarrassment in an act of good karma for the early morning. Even still Rei found himself questioning exactly why that desire had burrowed its way into his head, perhaps it was due to pity... and yet not only did nothing come to his head, but nothing came to his head before that pity soon regressed back into apathy. Thus, the most one could do was reply with a calm, "Uhm... hello." |

She couldn't help but giggle at how Rei seemed to perk up at the mention of coffee and nodded when he said he didn't know that they even served coffee "Well yeah they serve it until around noon or so but unfortunately its uh, its not the best coffee ever but its definitely a step up from the instant stuff that some places serve." Okay, no what she just saw had to be a hallucination due to lack of sleep or caffiene right? There was no way a man just climbed into their classroom from the window. Right!? Nudging Rei with her elbow she whispered to him "So uh, Blue you saw Asian Spiderman over there climb in through the window right? Like I'm not seeing things am I?" Waving to Hakuro when Rei mentioned her name Mana spoke up "Yeah, you're more then welcome to join me n' Blue here if you want, uhh... I don't think we have your name." Nudging Rei again Mana asked "D'you know what his name is? Or we just running blind on the invite?" As Rei reached the door and another individual stepped into the classroom after quite possibly kicking the aforementioned door open considering how hard he had flung it open a blank stare appeared on Mana's face "Umm... Hi?" Raising an eyebrow she looked over the new addition before leaning down and reaching into her bag withdrawing a pair of earbuds. Draping the bag over her shoulder she slipped one of the headphones into her ear while plugging the jack into her mp3 player, if strange stuff was gonna keep happening she was definitely gonna need her music to survive. (shitpost is shit and I apologize for the billion years of waiting but net went down for like a week) |

The hat never made it off of his head. Hakuro had just been folding and stuffing his coat in there when he had been addressed from off to the side by Rei Takeda, the blue-hair guy for whom Hakuro had put in a footnote about of his notepad 'Test and see if color is real'. He turned when the guy addressed him, having only just put his coat away. "What an interesting entrance. Though one is tempted to ask exactly how you did it. Perhaps you'd like to explain it over a cup of coffee.. Mana and I were just about to go for some." Wait, was he just a little zonked right now, or did one of those words sound like something important? "Coffee? Sure, I'm game. Nothing going on around here yet." Of course, while Rei was capable of responding to something strange with a very minimalistic approach, such was not the case for the girl called Mana. While Rei had apparently missed his entrance, she had not...and then called him Asian Spider-Man. Well, it could be worse. She could've called him The Human Fry. "Yeah, you're more then welcome to join me n' Blue here if you want, uhh... I don't think we have your name. D'you know what his name is? Or we just running blind on the invite?" "It's all very simple." He gestured to himself. "I am the Hatto-san." He gestured to Rei. "He is the Blue-san." Now, he pointed over to the chalkboard area. "There would be the Teacher-san, if there was one here." And then...the new guy kicked open the door, followed by a sudden look of embarassment. "...uhm. Sup? Ash--- er... Ashton... Kelly... first day of classes? ...hai?" "Uhm... hello." "Umm... Hi?" "Hai!" Hakuro headed for the door, grabbing Aston by the arm to pull him along. "Come on. You're following us until we straighten this matter out. I dunno what it is, but there's coffee involved." |

Ash walked into a classroom looking like an idiot, only to see a man with blue hair, and to be grabbed by a silly man in a hat. "Oh, thank god, everyone's weird." He said aloud, as he let himself be pulled along by Hakuro, which probably made Hakuro look impressively strong all things considered, considering Ash was walking backwards off-balance wherever Hakuro was leading him. "Uh... what are we... figuring out?" He continued to drink his neon purple colored energy drink as he was towed away. |

The phrase "not the best coffee ever" was one that fell on entirely deaf ears. Or rather, the simple fact that the phrase contained the word coffee, a substance that was sorely needed given the early time and how little tolerance one had for idiocy or monotony. That, and the simple fact remained that quite literally anything was better than instant coffee. "Gourmet" instant coffee effectively meant one was simply drinking a higher grade level of sewage, certainly it was less gritty, but sewage was still sewage. Regardless, the bluenette adjusted his glasses and gave a small nod of acknowledgement to Mana's first statement, the dry mouth moving to indulge her question when Hakuro spoke up. Of course, one could not help but feel Hakuro's rather unique presence was effectively enough of an introduction, that one couldn't help but connect the dots that the young man routinely called Hakuro Kuroda in attendance was also the same intuitive, eccentric young man who had a penchant for coats and hats - particularly the latter. In Rei's mind, it was essentially the same as declaring meeting someone at Ravencroft with blue hair, which only left a handful of possibilities. Of course, the notion of being known only by one's hair colour and, to a lesser extent, their supposed demeanour, was sickening in and of itself. But luckily, Rei was much too occupied taking in the notion that he was to be labelled "Blue" by yet another person. Naturally, a gentle sigh left him, and as though it were some form of revenge for a nickname he was wholeheartedly ambivalent to, the scion calmly brushed off his uniform and replied in a deadpan tone of voice, "Hatto...-san is a very odd way to say Hakuro Kuroda...-san." Then there came the newcomer, and with his appearance and the bluenette's gaze at Mana, he calmly mouthed the word 'no' on the very, very off chance she would think of actually inviting him to coffee. After all, from his entrance alone one couldn't help but feel he was terribly childish, barging into a classroom in such a manner before immediately realizing how foolish it must have looked to everyone else. Perhaps oafishness was endearing in television or film, but in reality? Eh, not so much. Yet against Rei's wishes, it seemed Hakuro had other plans and thus, he began dragging Ash. With nothing else to do, Rei followed along with a slight slump, the thoughts that had once swarmed him all turning negative with slight despair as the combined realization that the coffee would indeed be less than his normal cups (in terms of volume and quality,) the company he kept, and the simple dreariness of early morning all rolled into one giant ball of suppressed irritation. Running his fingers through his hair, he calmly intensified the stoic expression at the notion everyone was odd, simply because they were-- to be odd was to be interesting. Yet the idea of being compared to everyone else in that regard felt wholeheartedly wrong-- after all, no individual, no matter how well-adjusted or outside the norm they were on the spectrum, considered themselves to be odd. Certainly Rei knew his apathy and facade were not normal, yet those thoughts were buried deep in his mind, surfacing only occasionally to keep his desire for entertainment and tactlessness in check. "We're judging the quality of cafeteria coffee..." As well as whether or not you're as imbecilic as you appear. |
