If there was ever a place to start, might as well start at the most recent incident. Leon had to bide his time, plan out, and eventually make his way. He didn't know the city layout all too well, but he looked at the map of the blocked off area to find a way past all the blockades and people without being seen. He had to see the place himself, without any escort or someone watching over him. After a few hours Leon managed to get close to the hospital itself, seemingly deserted. He took this both as a blessing and a bad sign.

And he did this without informing a single person. Not Lindsey, Isamu, or even the other Nikawa Persona Users he knew were in town. He wanted to see things for himself and look around without anyone or anything causing a distraction. From the alleyway he stood the area almost felt like some horror scene. Ruined buildings, deserted blockades, and a few cars just left here and there. No signs of anyone Human or Shadows. If one could cross over, he expected a small tear to still be there to allow small fries into their world. That was his main goal. To see if such a thing existed.

Leon cautiously walked closer, but kept his distance when he got across the street of the destroyed hospital. He just looked at the destruction that had happened. Something in the back of his mind was telling him he shouldn't get any closer. For now, he just looked at the ruined building. Then a random thought hit him.

"Wait...Crap Isamu isn't an idiot. If I was a betting man he knows I'm here, or took measures knowing full well I'd come here at some point without informing anyone. And now I'm talking to myself like some crazy person. Then again coming here alone was crazy in itself."

He just scratched his head while walking to a nearby bench. It was still in decent enough shape for him to sit on. Though it was missing two legs and somehow got hit with rubble to where it still stood flat enough to sit comfortably. Leon took a seat and stretched his arms across the back of it. He planned this far, but from here was a mystery. And he wondered if Isamu actually did watch him, or if he was just being paranoid.

Zaeed had been following Leon since he left base, a bit out of his own curiosity and the other half to make sure he is kept safe. He wasn't sure if leon knew he was following him but Zaeed wasn't exactly trying to hide his presence so he walked up to where leon was sitting on a bench.

"its a shame isn't it, all these innocent lives lost for something most of us cant even comprehend."

Zaeeds internal computing had failed to find any reason for why a hospital was attacked since most of the occupants were non combatants and even tho there were residual traces of radiation in the area most of the occlusion zone had cleared up by now he deemed the area safe enough to take time time to sit back and "chat."

"i dont know if we have been properly introduced yet, or if you have read any briefing files on me. I'm Zaeed Chesnokov or at least that my cover name my frame designation and call sign is Terracotta, im one of the soldier ASW platforms."

Zaeed was yet again not wearing his synth skin but most of his frame was covered up by a collard t-shirt and he wore long khaki pants with boots, his arms looked like common prosthetic and their carbon ceramic black coating contrasted sharply with the pale "skin" on his face. Zaeed was not short in stature at all he was quite tall standing at 6'3" and built like a football linebacker.

"i hope you dont mind me following you out here at all i had a feeling you would end up some place that you might find yourself in danger. we are just taking precautions and i hope you dont find my being her intrusive."

Hearing the voice Leon looked towards it and simply pointed. However he was more surprised it was an ASW that followed him more then anything. This had him interested.

"Man if that wasn't on cue, I don't know what was. You are right though. Such a shame this happened. If I had to guess this whole stunt was to cause massive panic. Shadows feed on Human emotions after all."

Leon had looked through some of the files of the ASW's they had available, but it was mostly just the basic stuff. Anything else he figured he would learn as he got to know them better. The one thing he picked up about the ASW project was they needed human interaction to grow, thus Leon read very little outside their combat abilities so he could get to know them in person.

"I read your name, combat abilities, and that's about it. To be honest I would rather learn more about you in person then from some file. You get a better feel for someone when you talk with them. Even fighting by their side silently you learn far more then what's on paper."

Standing up he turned to face Zaeed with his hands finding their way behind his head as he studied the ASW. Well, that was a bad way of thinking at this point. Wouldn't say friend either, so for now Leon figured his name would be the best way to think about it. He had to admit, now he wondered why he was built so tall? Shadows weren't exactly intimidated by anything expect a strong power.

"Charmed to meet you in person Zaeed. Just to keep on introductions, despite I know you know who I am, just stick with Leon. Nothing so formal is needed. Sorry if I'm gawking though. Seeing a walking, talking android is still amazing. However that will be the only time I refer to you as such unless a comparison is needed. Far as I'm concerned, you're just a curious military guy who followed someone doing something he shouldn't have."

Might as well get it out into the open about how he saw Zaeed. To him if it was able to speak and plead, it was worth protecting. He had a few bad memories of such a thing, even a few mercy kills. He was able to not let that show he was thinking such. Leon glanced over at the destroyed hospital as a few ideas popped into mind.

"I figured this would be a good place to start searching around. I'm hoping that given the differences between Dream Nikawa and Otherworld that my card would react to the area. So far," Leon's hands went into their respective pockets as his right pulled the dulled out blue card as he held it between his index and middle finger, "It hasn't reacted to anything. And I'm not all too keen on getting close to the hospital itself. It's a destroyed building for one. And if I do find a reaction I'm pretty sure it'd be too late by then to call for back up. Think I was off on my theory?"

Zaeed nodded at Leon for his analysis of the situation.

"actually that's a very sound observation of this event, something like this will stir the emotions of far more than those effected in the hospital, this event is on the news everywhere declaring it a tragedy. i think you may have hit the nail on the head so to speak."

Zaeeds voice was still a bit mechanical having not quite learned the full nuances of speech yet for interaction between other humans, so his manner of speech seemed very intentional and deliberate.

"i agree combat is one of the better way of learning ones true colors but not all are cut out to such a task, and not to sound crass but im far from a cyborg. to be a cyborg i would have to be at least far from human, but i cant say im an AI either. "i think, therefore i am." so feel free to refer to us as what we are, we are anti shadow weapons and we all have no shame in that we have a job and we were created specifically for it. to think of us any anything but that would be a lie. im sure you have seen how those facades can set one up for failure in the other world, but i do appreciate your stance in trying not to offend."

Zaeed eyes glowed for a second as he scanned the area.

"im detecting minimal interference from the Otherworld in this area, it tends to leave a large bit of background area after a "portal opens" its oddly very similar to hawking radiation that forms when a black hole evaporates as it converts matter to heat and xrays... sorry not to go full computer on you hear but the heat wave you feel when transitioning into the other world is a result of alpha particle radiation and it leaves behind a very telltale signal thats easily picked up by those of us with even very weak on board scanners, like myself. the vale seems to be weak but as of right now I think we will be safe for the meantime but i would exercise caution.

when Leon pulled the card out of his pocket Zaeed immediately showed interest in it.

"interesting, those cards house the same memetic energy as the chains of persona users in our area, its an oddity that the forms of summoning are so different from one region to another. do you have any idea if its because of the different nature of each otherworld?"

Leon could understand why, but it still felt weird to hear someone talk to him in such a monotonic voice. Still, Zaeed and the rest of the ASW's had a long road ahead of them before they learned how to be more human. Made Leon enjoy this a little more, but he still loathed the fact he had to fight once more.

"While I can, I'd prefer not to. Reason being that there were quite a few people who believed their Persona were nothing more then tools, not a piece of their soul. And they were some of the first who died not from Shadows or the Dreamer, but from themselves. So while you may be an android and a weapon it doesn't mean you're no less a person. Just a person who has weapons hidden up their sleeves. Still you are right, a facade can cause problems. But it can also make one stronger."

Leon was talking about himself mostly. Leon's kindness was genuine, but in the field it was easily taken over by the bloodlust he would get as a fight dragged on. He kept it tame, but it would come out time to time. Leon was really impressed with the whole ASW program and seeing one at work was just a marvel in itself. While he didn't understand most of the talk, Leon understood the simple fact that they were safe and no tear between worlds was there.

"So in other words it's very similar to when the Dream almost merged the two worlds together. Given how reckless it was for me to come here alone I can understand how I might not be seen as cautious. I came here to look from a distance to look for anything that someone from the Nikawa Incident would see differently then anyone else. Doesn't seem to be the case as it just looks like a bomb went off here. "

So they did have the same properties when scanned. He figured as much as he could see them, but he also knew that the chains were more powerful then the cards. Just because of what they could symbolize. Chains were a scary thing and normally were used to tie strong things down.

"I believe so. After speaking with Isamu I came to the conclusion that because of how the two Shadow Worlds are different meant different properties. The cards reflect our inner hearts and the illusions around it. By shattering them it allowed for us to show we accepted ourselves and didn't have any problem with who we were. The chains, well, I don't have a good theory for them yet. While I'm sure the two vastly different worlds play a part, there has to be a different reasoning. Chains normally are used to hold something down. Perhaps they are used to control one's Persona? Only saw one berserk Persona and man was that terrifying."

Leon pocketed the card and took a look at Zaeed, closely studying him this time. He couldn't see any chain or anything that would indicate he had a Persona from a first glance. He was curious and wanted to see how they summoned their Persona, but that was for another time and place.

"Though there is one thing I hadn't gotten around to mentioning to Isamu till I experienced it myself. We know of the Velvet Room and the attendants Theodore, Elizabeth, and Margaret. Well it seems there is a fourth one named Abel. Learned that from a Rockport Persona User I came across. I didn't press for much, just if she knew of other users. There are at least three or four more that have the chain."

Picking up a small pebble he tosses it at the ruined hospital. He didn't know why, but felt like kicking the hive a bit. Or was he just wanting something to happen that bad despite not wanting to really fight? The more he thought about it the more he wondered why he actually accepted the invitation.

"So. Dunno how weird this sounds, but you have any hobbies you enjoy? Jogging is one of my favorite past times, though I haven't found anything to practice my swordsmanship with yet. Would really like to work on my kendo again."

Zaeed nodded in agreement

While i agree with you that personas are not tools and a fundamental part of your being, i still have to insist that ASWs are not in fact a person at least not yet. We all have one objective that we all equally share, we are to interact and and try to meld in with humankind. The one thing ive already noticed and I have only been active for about 3 weeks is that humans tend to pride themselves on what makes them unique and not what makes them alike. perhaps this is why so many conflicts are started or why there are so many different styles of clothing. I dont have to pretend to be human because im not and i openly embrace this. I am already a step ahead while my speech is not yet perfected nor are my social behaviors, i believe that identifying and embracing our individuality is what will make us stronger rather than hiding behind a facade."

Zaeed paused for a moment before continuing

allow me to stage an example, obviously you can see that im not human. we have a special coating that hides all the external mechanical parts of us and allows us to blend in when needed. How would you react or rather the average person react if there was a person who was starting to get attached to one of us romantically, we are made from the ground up to understand and feel human emotions so we can reciprocate that feeling back to that partner. but what if it progressed past that how would this person feel if they kept this big secret from you and turned out not to be human. Personally id say at least 78.3% of the population of this city would have an adverse reaction this while the remainder would be impact iced in a negative way that may destroy the social bond between the two of them.

Im unsure if you are aware of this or not but ASWs gain power through establishing social connection, there is some connection that's tangible in the otherworld and it is strengthened through social bonds, so this could fundamentally weaken an ASW. i apologize for the speech but i feel its important for you to understand that just because we are made to act like humans and able to feel like humans, insisting on us being something that we are not can cause damage in the long run."

Zaeed scanned the environment keeping alert for possible changes of the weakened vale in the area.

"its very interesting how the two different worlds can spawn such different circumstances, i mean this only from a scientific perspective but if there was a 3rd event i feel we could extrapolate more sound theories behind what makes each world tick. I also don't have a persona yet so i don't have a chain binding nor do i know of any velvet room attendants but i am aware of their existence."

Zaeed gave a smile tho it looked forced more than natural.

"im not sure you want me to talk about this given my tendency to ramble on and on, but most of my hobbies tend to involve weapons. Like humans we have to learn efficient ways of processing data so while i may understand and fully comprehend the math behind almost everything i have to learn how to put theory into practice so i would have to say marksmanship and close quarter fighting would be my hobbies."

Let smiled and chuckled a bit. Alright, alright Zaeed was being really persistent in that department. If that was his wish then Leon would follow suit. For now anyway. If what they predicted, ASW's would evolve and end up being as close to human as they possibly could. Still, it was upsetting that he still thought of himself as such even if he hadn't achieved that state yet.

"If you insist, though you are right on that. Everyone wants to be unique in whatever way possible. But man, that's pretty philosophical way of thinking. I just don't like thinking of allies of anything less then what I see. I do understand what you mean and I'll do as you've asked. Don't fault me if I forget that time to time."

He wasn't going to lie to himself though. Zaeed was making plenty of sense. Leon just didn't believe that way of thinking sometimes, but that was just him. He wasn't going to force his beliefs upon others. It was what made him unique compared to most. He just wanted, at the very least, to let Zaeed know he wouldn't leave him behind just because he was a machine. He was a little shocked to learn he didn't have a Persona.

"Really? I thought you guys had them somehow from the start. Would explain why they weren't in your combat functions. And, well...," Leon had to pause for a moment. It wasn't because of anything Zaeed said, but because of what he remembered, "Technically this is the third Shadow Event that I know of. While the past two were related to the Dreamer, the first event was similar to the Otherworld and Dream world. It was still the Dreamer's world, but they made it sound like they entered differently.

At the mention of close quarters Leon perked up a bit. Leon was one of the close quarters experts when it came to Shadows, so he may have found a sparring partner. If he found some kendo sticks to use anyway. That was still the only thing bugging him was he hasn't been able to really work on his swordsmanship since he came to Rockport.

"Trust me when I say I've listened to the ramblings of worse. Though I would suggest finding something that isn't combat related as a hobby. I exercise a lot sure, but I still read in my spare time. Still surprises much but I don't own a TV or any sort of games. Jogging and reading is enough for me. Speaking of reading, I wonder if there is any way to get a reacting from the Otherworld without it jump scaring us."

again Zaeed smiled trying to make it more natural this time

"One of my current interests is in fact history and philosophy i feel its one of the best ways to gain an understanding of people and allow for critical thinking during abstract situations personal favorite is the blend of philosophy and warfare written by Sun Tzu, my design and combat ethos was specifically written around these teachings which is why i have the project code name of terracotta, named after the terracotta soldiers."

"I see why you would be confused about us not having personas, as of right now we use beefed up versions of Anti shadow weaponry that most soldiers use in delta 3-5 but they are hardwired into us and use our core as a power source. its currently theorized that when an ASW reaches sufficient social blending where they can become "human" and transcend the boundary of man and machine their ego will be able to actually form a persona. however this goes well into Jungian psychology and i don't have a wifi connection to even remotely bullshit you that i know what im talking about when it comes to that. its well outside my expertise."

Zaeed listened intently as leon mentioned how the dream world had two stages before and started like the incident in rockport before escalating.

"i almost wish i didn't ask, that's a very troubling set of circumstances you brought up. this is just a hypothesis but if what you say can be applied to this incident then we have the potentiality of this getting far far worse than originally expected."

Zaeed welcomed the diversion to the hobby topic rather than running multiple crisis scenario simulations and gladly welcomed the new train of thought.

"i should have been a bit more specific when I said my hobbies involve weapons. while they can be tied to combat i find the aspect of marksmanship and weapon smithing fun and therapeutic. my "brain may be that of a computer but due to the intense load put on it by processing emotions, us ASWs need "decompress" in the say way humans do in order to compile information effectively. this can be done by performing certain tasks that we find pleasing and even enter a state of "sleep" in order to process bulk information. if we dont do this our systems can get bogged down creating sluggish behavior which would make us act "tired" and its actually kind of funny if you let it progress to far without letting an ASW compile its data, we can blue screen which im sure you can imagine is amusing."

"i apologize ive been talking about myself quite a bit without asking much in return, but before i go onto that the only way i know of getting a reading of the otherworld without going in is via Oracle. you may have heard of her, she is gateway into and out of the otherworld, i would go into further detail but you never know when someone may be listening in."

Zaeed crossed his arms and relaxed his stance before continuing.

"im sure you have been asked this quite a few times already but what do you think of the projects we have going on at delta and the people we have working with us, you must have had interaction with a few of the members by know?"

"And here I thought I was one of the few in this mess to have read that. Good way of thinking too. Just never know till you interact with them in public or in a non-work related situation. Honestly I'm still learning American culture. Don't have the hang of all the slang and stuff yet. Still confusing, but I'll get used to it. Oh and I doubt I'd understand that stuff anyway. I might be smart, but even that has it's limits. "

So they were just upgraded hardware at the moment. Well it was something to start. Till he saw one in action he wasn't entirely sure how well they'd stand against a basic Shadow. Leon was still unsure of how his own powers would be effected. He was confident in his strength, just didn't know if his Persona would be alright. Which in turn meant himself.

"Don't worry about it too much. I tell the tale so others don't have to. I will have to say though that considering how different it is, this might be about as bad as we think. The first group to push back the Dreamer was actually the second group. One group prior had done so, but in the end sacrificed themselves in the process. The second group killed his avatar form. The Dreamer was almost complete, but they managed to push his progress back. That's when Nikawa came into play. The number game is the biggest issue. There was about five the first time, seven or eight the second, and then hundreds the third."

Leon held up his hand and started to think and count the number of Persona users he knew of in town. However he had his own guesses that there was very much more. He hadn't found any yet, but was easier for him to find them then anyone else as he could see the chains without alerting anyone else he was a Persona user due to his card.

"From what I've gathered we have roughly, just counting Rockport alone, seven. There's this girl and her friends, Lindsey Catarina, and then some Captain that I hadn't met yet. Add in I believe four of us from the Nikawa Incident then we got about ten Persona Users. Add you that's eleven. Well take that back, it's still ten. See, one of the Nikawa users would be rather unwilling. She's lost far more then anyone else. She was also one of the driving forces in the incident prior to Nikawa. And that's as far as I'm going with that. Her privacy and all that."

There was enough of a hint to allow Zaeed to shift through known Nikawa User data to figure out who he meant. He just didn't want to bring it up anymore then he should consider she had a successful career now. Leon gave Zaeed a look of "Don't worry about it" concerning his rambling. Leon had been the journal for so many people and listened to so many ramble it didn't bother him.

"You can blue screen? Alright as bad as that sounds that's one hell of a stress test and funny to boot, " Leon looked up and thought for a second. Oh right Isamu mentioned Oracle, " I heard about Oracle from Isamu. But you're right we don't know who might actually be listening. Which makes this all the more eerie."

"The projects? Well from what I've seen I'm impressed and jealous. Wish we had this shit when we were taking down the Dreamer. The people I've talked to all show what I was expecting. Some are inspired that a 'Hero', I use that loosely mind you, was helping them. Others don't understand what's so special about one person. Others are just glad to have someone experienced in the field to help out. All in all I'm impressed. Still not one sword, but I understand why. Getting that close is almost death given how effective the weapons are. Was there never any bladed weapons or did it go straight into firearms?"

"its rather interesting how the number exponentially rise up as the shadow event progresses, its a shame that we dont have any empirical data on it that we can use to categorize the events. It would help us be able to pick up persona users much faster, while im not a fan of drafting anyone unwilling to fight a large trained fighting force would at least be a safety net if these incidents start to grow more frequent."

Zaeed moved his armed to a crossed position and other his hips while shaking his head, he took time to choose his words carefully and spoke very deliberately.

"i dont mean to sow any discomfort in you but i think that puts us at nine willing users, about the person who showed you around, lindsey, im not sure if you read the full reports but there is part of it that was omitted from the official record that i think you should know. before i start im not sure if she is a danger yet but shes...well...broken.

the official report reads that her squad was wiped out and she was the sole survivor and she was the only survivor, and it even includes the whole "month" of torture her and her squad went through even tho they were in the otherworld for a few days. the part that was omitted i got via some of our CIA spooks who are involved as well, she wasn't rescued at least not in the normal sense. She went berserk, as in her persona almost took her over berserk, the only reason she didn't go shadow is because the CIA guys were able to beat back her berserk persona and managed to knock her out. then they just kind of pulled her out of the otherworld and dumped her in a medbay. i dont know how you feel about that but the say way i can feel the imprint of your card on you i can feel the persona imprint on other users. Lindsey is just static its not persona but not quite shadow either, and that worries me."

Zaeed didn't intentionally leave out Leon's question about deltas weapons but he wanted to hear if he noticed anything wrong with Lindsey first.

"More data, better conclusions we can draw out. Otherwise it's better to just go in and figure things out on our own."

Leon wasn't one to think things through to that extent. Others could use the data and he could help figure out what it means, but the data on its own just told him that things were either good or bad. The idea of a safety net was appealing, but that all depended on whether or not his powers changed entering the Otherworld. That was the main reason he came out alone, to see if it was true. Though getting back was something he hadn't thought of. Planning two steps ahead, but not the third.

He listened as Zaeed talked about Lindsey's special condition. He hadn't heard of that during the entire Nikawa Incident. A person that had no form? That made no sense. The CIA people didn't cause much of a motion from him, Lindsey had already informed him on the first day. He was stuck on the part of her Persona being more like static.

"So her Persona is unstable. No form that can be traced or detected. Well two things come to mind. The first being her Persona was forced to appear to protect Lindsey. This would explain why it had no solid form. Without knowing what exactly was done to her by the cultists there was no good way of guessing. The second makes me wonder what exactly manifested. A Shadow and Persona have mostly distinct ways they appear. I know White Knight actually attacks with me instead of some where they just appeared and made a slashing motion. Using that as a base I think Lindsey's Static-like Manifestation could be a Persona that didn't manifest all the way or almost went Shadow and stopped halfway through the process somehow.

I mean we are aware of Shadow Selves. Simply put they're the inner emotions of someone, the Persona if you would taken form as a doppelganger of their true counterpart. They're the darkest emotions we hide from the world. I've never really had anything to hide that could summon such a thing, but take Miya Narikama for example. She managed to manifest a Shadow Self from her guilt and sorrow about how Nikawa was partially her fault because she didn't kill the Dreamer a year prior. Or was it two years? I don't remember at the moment.

So looking at this as an example I think it wouldn't be that long of a stretch that Lindsey's Persona is possibly a mixture of a Shadow and a Persona that hasn't formed on either end. Maybe she doesn't know what her own inner self is like either. A Persona is a person's soul manifested. Using White Knight as an example it is my inner devotion to protecting others regardless of my own self. Though my form of protection is cleaving through any enemy in my path."

Zaeed wasn't the only person who could ramble on. Leon was coming up with most of it as he went, but it did make some sense when he thought about it himself. If this Static was neither Shadow or Persona it made some sense it was both. Persona are the tamed version of one's Shadow, so if they were fighting for power then they could end up as such. That was Leon's theory anyway.

"With that said, thoughts? From what it sounds like though we shouldn't expect something safe from Lindsey if that thing goes out of control. Or that it isn't even in her control in the least bit."

"honestly its more of a wait and see thing, judging from the comms chatter ive been receiving she want into the otherworld today around 1400 after following two possible persona users. as with the usual time distortion effects we have been getting periodic bursts of static since something is jamming them and since we cant locate her position we cant send in support. we have teams standing by but until Lindsey and who ever is with her get rid of whatever is jamming them, the standby teams cant really do anything."

We should be able to get reports from the other two on her behavior, i doubt we will get anything directly from Lindsey because im sure she doesn't want to be sidelined with a pending medical examination or possibly get discharged from the military due to mental issues. i just hope she can control what ever it is raging inside her and get that under control, i hope its something as similar to what you said where she just has to get over her internal demons and the tissue will be solved but for some reason i dont think its just that simple."

"Wait....Did you just say she's in the Otherworld right now?"

This made Leon stiffen up a bit. There was a tear and he wasn't called in? Well the rest made sense. They had no idea where to send back up for the time being, so sending in him like that would be stupid. Why he wasn't even informed was the bigger question. Unless he left before anyone could get in contact with him.

"Well I suppose once they locate her I'm heading in. Like I said earlier you learn a lot from fighting beside someone just from watching them. Just strange that it happened really. Though I suppose there isn't much information on when these tears happen and what causes them to appear. Hope they're doing alright though. As long as they don't go like anime and think because they have powers they're invincible or something."

Leon figured they should start heading back, but then he remembered Oracle. He didn't understand what she could do fully to be fair, but had a few ideas. Well he had nothin to lose from asking.

"So can you contact Oracle from here? I left my phone behind, though honestly that one was an accident. Thought I had it. I'm wondering if she could put us close to where Lindsey is in the first place or if we have to leave here and head towards where she is. You guys know more about this after all."

"sorry i should have elaborated more, it was a freak accident with her going into the other world, it was a portal that opened up naturally, this was not a planned incursion by any means. also i cant just call oracle she is kept in a type of Faraday cage that blocks all external signals to lessen the static noise created by modern communications. so unfortunately is not like a 1-800 number like calling for a taxi but we can head back to base and see if we can brought in on the exfiltration team."

Zaeed was itching to go in and help but running in there with little to no intel would be a death sentence, he knew leon was powerful but Zaeed rather play it safe. he thought the best idea would be for them to head back to base and wait until the order was given for a team to go in and pull them out.

"the problem with getting dropped in close is that we dont know where close is, as you know the otherworld is not like our own. the topography is so different from out that we cant really wing a drop zone effectively we could end up being miles off with no way of know what direction they are in. i think the most prudent thing would be to get back to base and work from there."

"Oh. Well that's still good to know."

He didn't know what he was expecting. Why should we go in alone or with inexperienced Persona users? Well he didn't accomplish much setting out to Ground Zero anyway. Nothing happened like he thought it would, or at the very least some kind of reaction.

"Alright let's head back and meet up with the rescue squad. I need to make sure I'm fully prepared anyway. Unlike you and the soldiers I don't exactly have weapons I can carry with me. Not till I'm on that side anyway. Don't know the effect I could have on everyone either or whether Otherworld's rules change how my Persona is. Have to be mentally and physically prepared for anything at this point."

Pulling his goggles down over his head Leon begins logging in place while facing back towards the city. Then it hit him. It took him a while getting here so it would take as much time getting back and it'd be too late to help Lindsey at that point, which caused him to stop jogging in place.

"So I hope you already called for transport else it'll take us quite a while to get back to base. Even at my top speed it would take me far too long."
