One often associates a library with a quiet place for one to study, work on projects, or read a nice book. It's a peaceful place; few other places in the world can provide such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. For some, this silence serves as a fuel for their determination- the only thing they can hear is their thoughts and ambitions driving them forward as they cram-out that term paper that's due in about an hour. For some, however, it provides a fuel for something completely different. The table around the blonde girl was barren: no one occupied the seats around her, and the table-space in front of her was completely empty- with the exception of a copy of "Have a Nice Day: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks" by Mick Foley sitting open, only 4 pages read at this point, from the looks of things. If one approached the table, they would've expected to hear a tale of a hardcore wrestling superstar working his way through the WWE with a few chair shots and broken tables here-and-there. Instead, there was snoring... a whole lot of snoring. Never a boring day in the life of Takara O'Hannigan, clearly... It all started, innocently enough, at 10:30PM the night before: Takara, the day having turned to night hours before, was out of things to do. No good-looking TV shows were coming on for the rest of the night, so she was forced to get creative. With the power of her WWE Network subscription, Takra set out on a mission: she was going to marathon every Wrestlemania. Her mission clear, Takara fixed together some snacks and dug in for hours upon hours of fun. She made it to Wrestlemania 2(She didn't take into account that Wrestlemania's were several hours long when she undertook her mission) before she realized that she had classes to attend within the next few hours. In her sleep-deprived state, Takara threw on a pair of jeans and her Ultimate Warrior T-shirt before setting out for a long, boring art lecture. Barely able to keep herself awake through the entirety of it all, Takara survived the lecture and decided to take the time to go the library and seek out a copy of Mick Foley's autobiography and getting some reading in before her next class. Skip ahead several hours and Takara has managed to sleep through 2 classes and has also somehow managed to go completely unnoticed by the library staff. Would she continue to lay there, ignored and unnoticed by the staff and fellow library-goers, or would someone approach the hornet's nest that was a sleep-deprived mish-mash of international blood? |

She called it rush hour. Morning classes were finishing up and swarms of students were heading to the library to cram in work before their afternoon classes; thus, the computers were all taken and most empty rooms and seats were occupied. Hayley Song was one of them. And while she was technically done for the day, she needed to squeeze in some studying time so she can prepare herself for the upcoming Literature test. Normally, she made sure she was always on top of her grades; however, a certain Finn distracted her... Hayley smiled to herself. While she did enjoy Routakorpi's company, she needed to maintain her 4.0 GPA. She scanned the area for a free seat, and found a somewhat empty table that she could possibly sit at. She saw that its occupant, however, was fast asleep and while she didn't want to bother the woman she needed a place to study. So Hayley, with books under her arms, stepped down the stairs and made her way to the area. "Excuse me," Hayley addressed the blonde politely, "May I sit here?" |

The snoring came to an abrupt halt after Haley spoke, the sound replaced with a quiet, incomprehensive muttering as Takara slowly awoke. Her head raised slowly- it almost seemed as though her neck could barely handle the responsibility of lifting 10 pounds of flesh and blood. In time, however, Takara's head was lifted from the table. One could easily see that her face was marred with sleep lines, no doubt the result of slapping your face against a desk and letting it sit there for several hours straight. Takara stared in Haley's direction for a few good seconds, the fellow college student's existence apparently not registering to her for at least 15 seconds before Takara snapped back to reality. "Oh, uh- shite- sure. G-go right ahead..." Takara stammered out, her apprehensive and discombobulated speech serving as clear signs of her tiredness. She looked around, confused at the library around her. There wasn't a clock in sight, so the lass had no idea what time it was. She reached around in all of her pockets, hoping to find her phone or something that could tell her the time but, unfortunately, she had left everything shy of the clothes on her back and the book-bag sitting next to her on the floor at home. She slapped her hand on the desk in front of her in frustration before letting out a quiet-yet-still-audible "Shiiiiiiiiite...". She looked over at her peppy compatriot and offered a simple question. "Hey, you seem like a nice bird- happen to have the time?" she asked as she leaned back in her chair as she stretched her arms high into the sky. |

Hayley gave a friendly smile as she took her seat. She could tell the blonde was in the process of waking up and was probably sleeping there for a few hours. Maybe even more. She cracked open the literature tome as she set her books on the table, flipping to the latest chapter they were working on. As she was reading, she heard a quiet "shiiitteee" and glanced over at the blonde who was now asking for the time. "Oh, it's um"--Hayley briefly took her her super pink super deco'd smart phone and glanced at the screen--"half past noon." |

12:30PM was the time Haley said but Takara had registered those words as "really fucking late for your 9:15 class". Takara cocked her head back let out a moan: she missed quite a few classes with her little nap in the library. "Oh, well: you win some, you lose some." Takara said to herself as she continued to lean back in her chair. Takara reached forward and grabbed her Mick Foley book from tilted chair and started to read once again. Unfortunately, she got about 4 or 5 words in before she decided she wasn't in much of a reading mood at the moment. She sighed and looked around, wondering if there wasn't anything in the immediate vicinity that could kill her boredom. Her eyes eventually settled on her fellow library-goer; she might as well try to make friends with someone here in Rockport. Takara glanced at the contents of the textbook she appeared to be reading. "Literature... lovely..." the O'Hannigan child said to herself. Didn't she have that class- the textbook her newfound friend was reading did look rather familiar. Speaking of familiar, Takara seemed to recognize the brunette who flew up and snatched the spot next to her. "Say, when do you have that Literature class o' yours?" she asked the brunette, probing to see if they were, by coincidence, in the same class. Takara was probably still half-asleep and there are millions of brunettes in the world. She could very easily confusing this fellow student with someone else. |

"9:15," Hayley said, turning the page, "With Professor Russell." She briefly glanced at the blonde next to her, her eyes lighting up in slight recognition. Was this girl in her literature class? It was hard to tell who was who in the large lecture hall. Still, if they were in the same class, or at least had the same professor maybe they could study together. "Do you have her too? I know she only has a couple of classes today: a morning class and an afternoon class. I take the morning class; we have a test next week which I'm so excited about." She sighed. Though the test was a week away, Russell's assessments involved mostly open ended questions and essays that require a deep amount of critical thinking and Hayley definitely needed to prepare herself for them. "It'll be on everything we learned from the beginning, but I think there will be a heavy concentration on Greek Tragedies and Shakespeare." |

9:15... Takara tried her hardest to get her brain- now operating at about 3/5 or 3/4 it's usual strength- to tell her if that's when she had literature. If one could look in her brain, it would likely resemble a jukebox: slowly chugging through dozens of records, trying to find the song it's looking for. It took well over a few seconds, but it finally came to the blonde lass. "9:15... Yeah, that's the one." Takara exclaimed, remembering the professor through the haze of brain fog. As that fog cleared, things started to click with Takara once again: she was in a library, the girl next to her was brunette, books are bounded bundles of paper, and wait, what test? The brunette continued to explain things to Takara: it all seemed like stuff that she could handle, with the possible exception of a few of Shakespeare's works. It was nothing that was going to absolutely slay her grade, it was just a matter of her not caring to strive for excellence. She could very easily study for the test- hell, she was sitting in a library, one of the first places one thinks of when they hear the word study- but why waste time fixing what wasn't even broken, right? The blonde shrugged: "Eh, I think I've got a handle on all of that." she said confidently. Now calmed by her self-confidence, Takara went back to her book, only half-engaged in it as she expected more conversation from her friend. |

Ash had had an interesting couple of days. New town jitters were nothing on this run of Grade A insanity, but for once, Ash decided that the best way to cope with weirdness was to just ignore it. And so, realizing that he'd spent an entire weekend in an exhausted, depressed fugue and had accomplished sweet fuck-all, he needed a change of pace. And what better place to catch up on homework than the library. He had been told that the University library was quiet and had a proper air of focus, so he decided to try it. He tossed on the same jeans he had been wearing all weekend, now with a few fresh rips in them thanks to some evil rusty robots he fought in a parallel hell dimension, as well as a Daniel Bryan t-shirt. He opts to not bother with an overshirt today, as he's too out of it to be aware of the cold. It was several minutes after Hayley had arrived that Ash walked by their aisle, where she and Takara were talking about some test. A test? Hopefully he hadn't missed one of those. Oh. Wait. Right. She's in college, and you're still finishing high sch--NOPE, no drama. No drama today. You have exceeded your maximum drama quantity for this month. Today you are doing homework, because you need to pass your classes. ...but those are people. Having people around is nice, and that's the crazy perky girl. You could use the perky right now. And that one apparently likes wrestling. Cool. Ash wandered down by the two girls, and gave a light wave with the hand not holding his backpack on his shoulder, the one holding a four-pack of grape flavored energy drinks. "Hey, mind if I sit here?" He says, giving a halfhearted smile to Hayley as he goes and sits down anyway. To Hayley's eyes, of course, Ash was wearing a pair of silver handcuffs, a faint glow to them. They didn't seem to restrict his movement in any way as he waved and set his backpack down, but Hayley could tell what they really were... a persona chain. That probably explains why Ash looks so tired. Edited by Anonymoogle, Nov 9 2015, 03:49 PM.

"That's great, you sound really confident," Hayley smiled at the blonde before turning back to her tome. She grimaced, her hazel eyes skimming through the text. "I'm not." It was at that moment Ash come over and asked to sit. Hayley smiled brightly as her eyes lit up in recognition. "Oh hey Ash, whatcha doing"--she suddenly in mid-sentence, her eyes darting to the pair of handcuffs on his wrists--"...here..." Hayley quickly turned her body around and pretended to sneeze. "Achoo!" As she was doing so, she quickly tucked in the long necklace in her blouse and hoped that he didn't see the chain beforehand. She remembered her encounter with Leon and reminded herself to be more careful. "Achoo!" After she was done, she turned to them and smiled nervously, "Man, it sure is getting colder this time of year and for some reason they still haven't shut off the air conditioning yet." She briefly glanced at Ash. She needed to confront him about the chain... but how? And more importantly, how will she do this without revealing themselves? And not to mention the possibility of the blonde being a persona user as well. Hayley bit her lip. What to do... what to do... |

Takara was drawn away from the life and tales of Mick Foley once again, but this time by a taller, stocky-looking gentleman(Who, also, definitely got some brownie points for rocking the Daniel Bryan shirt.) who apparently was on speaking terms with the girl who was sitting next to her. The female started to speak, indirectly introducing the male- apparently named Ash- to Takara, but quickly started to trail-off nervously. Takara's eyebrow raised slowly as she continued pretend-reading her book. Takara looked at the guy again out of the corner of her eye: nothing appeared to be wrong with him, so why was her female friend getting so on-edge? The girl turned and sneezed before complaining about the library supposedly being cold(Frankly, Takara didn't feel it.). Takara looked between the two for a moment before speaking up. "Well, unless my friend has any objections..." Takara said, motioning toward the many open seats at the table. "Sick D-B shirt by-the-way." Takara added, pointing at Ash's t-shirt. "I'm more of a Punk kind of girl- Bryan's still a pretty cool dude, though, don't get me wrong." she added, putting her hands up in front of her as she pleaded her case. Figuring that the wrestling talk was over, Takara felt introductions were necessary. "My name's Takara and your name is Ash, right?" Takara asked, stretching her hand out for Ash to shake. |

Ash was a little confused by Hayley's sudden sneezing, but he definitely didn't get a chance to see the chain she wore before she covertly tucked it away. While he too was confused about her talking about the cold, he passed it off as her being asian and small, and him being a New Englander and large. He wouldn't notice cold until the snowballs hit him in the face. "Heya. I'm, uh... I'm here to study, I guess. Gotta catch up on homework I missed over the weekend, and my dorm isn't much of a place to do it." He shrugs, hoping nobody asks what he was doing over the weekend, because he was really, really tempted to make a joke involving the phrase "evil rust dimension." He noticed the other girl, however, as she spoke. "Oh, thanks, man. Er... you get the idea. Yeah, name's Ash." He chuckles, suddenly put at ease by it being a topic he knows. "Yeah, I liked Punk's pipebomb, but he kinda trailed off after that. Kind of a dick to the fans too. I'm a sucker for good Faces, so Bryan's always been my favorite." He pulls a math textbook out of his backpack, and starts flipping through it on the table, then realizes he can't dodge the handshake. He seems to hesitate a bit, and Hayley can probably guess why, but after a moment she sees the handcuff-chain lengthen as his hands move apart, and as Ash sees that, he happily takes Takara's hand and gives a strong, manly shake. "I take it you're as much a wrestling fan as I am?" |

"No objections here!" Hayley said, albeit a little loudly, "Go ahead, take a seat and study; this is the place for it!" Then she realized she hadn't introduced herself to the other girl. "Oh!" she said, "I almost forgot -- my name's Hayley. And of course, you know me, Ash." She smiled nervously as she watched Ash shake Takara's hand. She didn't pay attention to what they were talking about as her gaze focused on his chain. Perhaps she can pull him aside and directly confront him, but she wasn't sure how he'll react to that - and seeing how ham and loud he was at the mall, he might potentially reveal themselves to anyone who might be around. No, if she were to do that it has to be in a private, quiet place. For the time being, she'll have to think of something else... "I don't know much about wrestling," Hayley said as she turned to them both, "But I do know a lot of gymnastics! I remember when I was little I met this one gymnastics coach. I don't recall his full name, but he had a big nose and we called him 'Igor'... he was a really weird guy, but taught us a lot. He said only we can 'forge our fates,' what ever that means..." |

Ash took a nonchalant chug of his energy drink as Hayley started talking again. He was listening, but multitasking was clearly the best way to process Hayley's genki-like enthusiasm. There was absolutely no way for this to immediately come back to bite him in the face. None. None whatsoever. "...he had a big nose and we called him 'Igor'... he was a really weird guy, but taught us a lot. He said only we can 'forge our fates,' what ever that means..." Aaaand Ash basically does a full on spit-take, accidentally spitting some grape flavored caffeine on his textbook before he coughs into his hand. He soon doubles over the table, coughing loudly as he tries not to choke on his drink. He's left coughing for almost a minute, before "So that's what happens when I breathe purple..." He mutters in a hoarse tone, barely audible, before coughing some more. He waves off anyone trying to help him, though. Totally fine. Just inhaled a third of a can of liquid caffeine, no big deal. He finally responds in a gruff, grumpy tone. "Warn me before you say stuff like... that..." Ash's hibernatey-bear-brain finally catches up, realizing what she actually said, and looking over to Hayley with a mix of surprise and confusion. |

"I take it you're as much a wrestling fan as I am?" Ash asked, prompting an energetic huff from Takara. "Heh... Yeah: Punk, Bryan, Mankind-" she lifted up her book, the hunched over picture of "Mankind" Mick Foley stretched across the cover- "Cactus Jack- they're some of my favorite ones." the blonde listed off before Hayley chimed in. "I don't know much about wrestling," she started, prompting a shrug from Takara; not everyone in the world loves wrestling, that's a given. "But I do know a lot of gymnastics! I remember when I was little I met this one gymnastics coach. I don't recall his full name, but he had a big nose and we called him 'Igor'... he was a really weird guy, but taught us a lot. He said only we can 'forge our fates,' what ever that means..." Haley explained, making Takara raise an eyebrow at the whole story. "He sounds like a pretty weird du-" was all she managed to say before Ash starting spitting out and choking on his energy drink. Takara made an attempt to help him out, only to get waved off. She guessed he had a handle on the whole situation. After what seemed to be an eternity of coughing and spitting up lungs, Ash finally regained his composure. "Warn me before you say stuff like... that..." he spat out grumpily at Hayley. Takara was slowly and slowly starting to feel like she was getting caught in the middle of something she had no part in. "... Yeah... So... Tell me about this Igor git. Sounds like a real weird one to me, at least." Takara slowly asked, occasionally glancing over at Ash to make sure he was alright and not about to flip-out at the mention of the name "Igor" again. |

"You okay, Ash?" Hayley said nonchalantly as she watched the big guy double over. Then Takara asked about Igor and soon the color seemed to drain from her face. "Ummmm...." She briefly glanced at the confused Ash before turning back to Takara. "Igor... um... yeah, he's a weird one all right. Really weird. He was very cryptic, to say the least. He liked to be really vague about... pretty much everything." She paused for a moment, trying to gauge a reaction from the blonde, before continuing. "He would always go on and on about fate and destiny and he was really into tarot cards." Hayley smiled nervously. Just how much should she reveal? "He was a good teacher though, taught us everything we needed to know. I don't know where he is now - probably still teaching somewhere, I would imagine. Last time I heard from him, he runs his own gym but the name escapes me..." She tapped a finger to her lips, "it was 'The Velvet' something... The Velvet Place... The Velvet Gym... The Velvet..." |
