(All the italics are Japanese) A clatter of multiple objects hitting the floor followed by Japanese swearing filled the air in the Dojo. After the venture into the Otherworld and all that transpired Leon was filled with...Well various emotions. His swordplay, which still extremely powerful in its own right, lost the touch it had in the fight with the Dreamer. Back then he could dance around Shadows and Persona Users alike with his blade without losing the force behind it. Now? "God damn I should not be this rusty." Picking up the empty soda cans he had set up he stared at the dents in them. He knew the damage he could inflict, but that wasn't the issue. The fact that that large Shadow had managed to not only parry but toss his blade aside caused him anger and to realize that he lost the deftness he once had so he went back to the basics to recover what he once had. However that wasn't going well. The training method he had devised to teach control to other kendo members back in Nikawa was rather simple, but took a lot of focus and concentration. The goal was to swing the kendo stick with force, but stop your swing right before it touched the can. The purpose was to get the kendo stick as close to the can without actually touching it. Suffice to say Leon was failing at his own training method as each attempt caused him to hit most of the cans off. He relied too much on the brute force behind his swings compared to before. After resetting up the cans Leon took on a standard kendo stance, his kendo stick held out straight before him, and stared at the cans. Why was this so difficult? He moved his back foot slightly, only to drop his stance. "The fuck am I kidding. This stupid method won't work anymore. Wish someone who had some swordplay could help me train again. This is so fucking annoying." |

[OOC: Likewise, so quotes will be bold this session.] It was in her nature to enjoy quiet moments, especially peaceful ones, and count her blessings that they were not interrupted. But as of this point, the interruption of a quiet night at home was not a physical one, but a mental one. The situation of the Shadows, of the Shadow world and all of its problems. Her lack of greater force, to be a quick and darting finesse fighter, had not been able to overcome the creature that had charged them. True, some clever talent on the parts of her and those with her had caused it to stagger unconscious for a while. But dead? Never. Several users of Persona, a chopper-bound machine gun, and whatever else...and it had just taken most of it with glee and returned greatly the pain. Frustration was not ordinarily in Anri's nature, but it comes to every human being at some point. Now, was one of those times. She did not know, however, what to do...so her brother suggested an idea for her. Max had said to get out into the fresh air and just start walking. It would clear her head. He was always a smart one, wise beyond his time. But even that fact sometimes bothered her, because in a way...he was always stronger than her. Perhaps it was in his determination or physical capability, but while she was greater in skill and focus...he could take her hits. It made them equals, but at this point...Anri felt she could do with a little physical strength. Perhaps some training was in order. Her small frame could still grow stronger, right? Fighting was always one of her strong points, though. Great swordsmanship, martial arts, excellent learning ability - yet the thing of darkness in armor trounced her. It was hard trying to figure out what she could do to offset the gap in their respective abilities. "...stupid method won't work anymore. Wish someone who had some swordplay could help me train again. This is so fucking annoying." Her walk had carried her to the local dojo with her own equipment to train with. She had done so because she'd been sure to have stopped to practice somewhere, even if it was the park or in the woods. Yes, the woods... She might've tempted fate just to find some Shadows to kill, to cut her teeth on the enemy and grow stronger by means of trying to survive. Always risky, but decidedly positive in results if it worked. As it stood, though, she came here and found a familiar figure hoping for someone to show up and help him. This was...unexpected, and ironic since she felt it was she who had failings right now. Then again, they'd both been there and the Beast had wreaked havoc on both of them. Leon would get the 'voice out of left-field' effect from the entrance, finding her standing there. "If I can help...I will. What were you doing?" |

He stared at the cans he had set up and simply stood there. This was pointless, yet it was all he had. He was about to give it another go when he heard a female voice. Thinking it was one of the girls who had taken a liking to his looks, a "curse" from back home, he turned towards the direction and noticed a Japanese girl with glasses looking at him. She looked familiar, but where? Wait.... His mind flashed back to the girl he had seen throw against the tree and knocked out momentarily before he and Ryosuke had joined the fray. She was one of the Persona Users they had rescued that day. He hadn't had a chance to introduce himself personally to those he had rescued that day so he knew very little about them and their Persona. "Huh. Wasn't expecting someone who understood me to come in here today." He was avoiding the question for the moment. He looked her over and started to, well, judge her a bit. Leon was serious when he said that he would keep as little people from getting involved as possible. His own group had to relearn how to fight properly again after what happened and not rely on the power they once owned. "Before we get into that, my name is Leon KuraKaze; charmed. We haven't had a chance to meet after you and the others we rescued that day. May I get your's and your Persona's?. " Leon gave a small bow, a small motion bringing his kendo stick up across his shoulders. He wasn't trying to show off, just didn't feel like holding it the way he was previously. How should he go about this? Should he simply answer? Or should he avoid the topic since he wasn't one who liked showing weakness. After all a Leader could not be seen as weak, but sometimes needed help all the same. "Now to answer your question all I can say is unless you have some swordsmanship skills I don't think you can help me. No offense if you do or not, just can't relearn the basics unless it's with someone who knows what we're up against. And can, well, not waver under the strength of my strikes. Outside of that feel free to ask any questions you may have about Persona, Shadows, and what happened. I'll do my best to answer them." |

It seemed odd that he wouldn't expect someone who could understand Japanese to appear at a dojo, but perhaps he meant the coincidence of the timing rather than the right kind of person. It didn't really matter. What did matter was that Anri could tell when someone was looking at her and making a decision about her physique. Her small frame afforded this look often enough to know it when it came. It was a little rude, but he wouldn't know any better. It's not as those she were famous anywhere. He was at least polite enough to introduce himself, but why was he not answering her question? She returned the bow he gave, and replied to his inquiry. "Anri Fuyunaito. My Persona is the Erinyes." Ah yes, the Erinyes... The Furies of old, punishing harpies or snake-bearing warrior women. Take your pick, as they have numerous depictions. They are the vindication of the gods, they who curse and destroy the unforgiveable. Anri's voice and glare never wavered. She was a rather focused individual. He did not mention his own Persona, but she had seen that herself at the time. Its knightly appearance could not be mistaken. I'll do my best to answer them." That made Anri narrow her eyes slightly. Yes, he had judged her, as she thought he did. So, with her eyes never leaving Leon's, she pulled out her own Kendo stick and began to mirror the Nightmare's style of swordplay as she spoke. "It is not simply a matter of skill, lacking or possessing, with this creature. It swung a massive blade freely, as though without weight, yet every cut was cleaving and powerful. This was evident in the fact that its body existed as darkness covered in very solid armor. There were no physical weaknesses to exploit, and all of its openings were mitigated by its durable frame. It took the impact of a tree - and I use the term in this case loosely - to bring it to the ground." Now, she stopped, lowering the training sword. "I don't know how well I can convey my swordsmanship other than by experience. Only you can decide if I am good enough." |

"Hmm." Anri Fuyunaito huh? Why did that name ring a bell? For the time being it didn't matter as Leon picked up on something from her. The way her eyes narrowed told him he hit a nerve somewhere, which was his intent. What nerve was something he couldn't figure out, but he was trying to see what kind of response or reaction he could get from her about what happened. She had a good head on her shoulders, and even spoke with experience of someone who has fought before. That is what interested him the most. "That's a Shadow for you. A powerful Shadow at that, different from the normal mindless entities we'll deal with in the future. It's sentient, a trait most Shadows do not have. However." Leon's kendo stick went from his shoulders to a position close to it being "sheathed." He had studied kendo most of his youth, bringing in bushido and iiato during the Nikawa Incident to bolster the skill he could use with his blade. Anri was right in one thing, he wouldn't be able to gauge her just from her words, but combat itself. "Sorry if I offended you, but I do not want to see anyone on the battlefield who is...." He hesitated. Many words flew across his mind with many of them sticking and being true. He lost so many friends in Nikawa, he couldn't bare to see anyone else younger than he was die again. He also knew that without these new Persona Users they stood no chance of ending this Incident before it got worse. "Afraid to die. Someone who does not want to fight. Someone....I lost well over a hundred friends and allies during the last Shadow Incident. I don't know about your resolve, but I can tell you're a bright girl Anri. So let's see if we're capable of helping each other." His knees bent slightly as he moved the kendo stick to the left side of his hips, his right hand hovering hover it while his left held it in place similar to an old samuari's style.. He would test her as she had said. This was his response to her statement, and he had to make sure she understood what she might be getting into. "White Knight by the way. I know I hadn't mentioned my Persona's name before, but that's it. Now...Whenever you're ready." |

"That's a Shadow for you. A powerful Shadow at that, different from the normal mindless entities we'll deal with in the future. It's sentient, a trait most Shadows do not have. However." "This, I understand." The Shadows were not, overall, creatures of deep thought, though the monster - the Nightmare - was clearly a sadist. It may have even enjoyed the pain, though that was not something she could prove, per se. Leon continued speaking. "Sorry if I offended you, but I do not want to see anyone on the battlefield who is...afraid to die. Someone who does not want to fight. Someone....I lost well over a hundred friends and allies during the last Shadow Incident. I don't know about your resolve, but I can tell you're a bright girl Anri. So let's see if we're capable of helping each other." When he said it, she understood immediately his reasons for what he did, how he was carrying himself. He was dedicated, if self-punishing for a perceived failing. The pain of loss drew him forward, as opposed to her, which was the desire to stop pain...or to punish others for inflicting it. The Shadows were dangerous, regardless of motivation or details into their being. One way or another, they had to be stopped, and this goal was far more important than a single life or self-interest. The world wasn't prepared to deal with them, at large. The disaster that could come of their being commonplace...would be all too horrific to be even conceived. "I would like that, because that Shadow also found me wanting, and I do not wish the next time to be the same." He was allowing her to go first, after explaining his Persona. His stance was...not common in traditional Kendo, but then that isn't what he wanted to learn. He had taken a draw stance, the posture of one who will open swiftly with an upward slash, which then left several options for a follow-up, the strongest being a downward two-handed slash. Knowing that at least the upward one was coming, Anri adopted a level sword stance that left the sword parallel to the ground, pointing at him. It was out from her mid-section, just about, not the high-to-the-shoulder level stance. It left many options and left the opponent guessing, at least at first. Anri darted forwards quickly. Being smaller and physically fit, Leon might find the sudden movement surprising. He might also find it strange that she was opening with a stabbing motion, with her body a bit low to the ground and the Kendo stick coming right for him...except that it was NOT coming right for him. Not exactly. Knowing his stance, or at least what it traditionally meant he would open with, her goal was to bring the tip of her sword close to his body before his own weapon came up. Given his experience, the tip might never reach him on its own. He might deflect her attack. But...if she did it right, his move to deflect would cause her weapon to poke him in the side or armpit area. |

(By the way Leon's biggest issue is his deftness and swiftness with his blade are not as quick as it used to be, which is something someone like Anri can easily see and figure out. Use this to your advantage too as it's the reason why Leon IS training to begin with. Doesn't mean he's completely sloppy with his swordsmanship, just that it has obvious weak points that he doesn't know about currently.) "Glad you understand." She was studying him, that much was clear. If he had to guess she knew the most common opening slash from someone using such a stance. Well, Leon wasn't one to disappoint which is why he allowed her the first move. Her choice of attack of odd and made him pause. The speed she demonstrated wasn't all that surprising as he had fought Shadows capable of swift movements such as her's. His mind processed numerous response to her thrust till he came to one that would work out. Unfortunately for Anri, he had to learn a few other tricks to survive besides traditional swordsmanship. Leon gripped his the hilt with his left hand as he did a quick draw with it up in a reverse grip as her blade slid right along his. Leon moved to the right while his right hand grabbed the handle and his left switched to a normal grip, slashing upwards in an attempt to use her momentum against her. If this was a real fight he would have also attempted to trip her, but he needed to focus on his swordsmanship before doing things like that. "You know your stuff. Would have been a good move if I went with a standard draw stance opening. This may be more fruitful than either of us believed." |

[OOC: Duly noted. ]He altered the stance! Perhaps it was because he recognized her experience and therefore could not rely on traditional means, or perhaps it was a last-second reaction of instinct versus follow-through, that critical split-second where you may change your mind. That much was too early to tell, but the deflection was certainly impressive. However, insofar as the force of her move went, it's not like she had a heavy body thrown behind it. Anri did just about manage to step away and separate herself from striking range, just so. In a more serious situation, she would possibly entertain continuing on into a roll and quick return to her feet. And...given that Leon had definite skill...she may have to anyway. "You know your stuff. Would have been a good move if I went with a standard draw stance opening. This may be more fruitful than either of us believed." She nodded at this. "I agree. This may be just what I need and more." Because...while her mother and her brother were both skilled and different in their fighting ability, she knew all there was about them. Whereas, in Leon's case, this was a new field opening up. She did not know where this was going and how to handle it. The feeling was quite invigorating. She now switched her style to the one-handed method she had with her Shamshir. Her original taste was not in one-handed, but her brother favored it, and so she learned. Not as great at it, but a quick couple of low sweeping strikes at Leon's legs may literally keep him on his toes! |

Good. Her movement dodging skills were just as swift as her movement. There was another reason that he was fighting the way he was, not just out of habit. The earlier clue he had given earlier indicated he was also testing her not just to see her skills, but to see if she would be able to handle herself against Shadows. So far it was looking promising, but this was only the first few movements. As his blade reached the height of his swing he saw her take a different stance. One handed? This was different, but he had already assumed she could do both single and two handed swordsmanship given how she spoke. Leon let his blade rest across his shoulders as she came at him with low sweeps. Leon went to hop back when the first managed to trip him up, though only slightly. He lost his footing and regained it quick enough for a retaliation of his own. Gripping his blade with both hands he makes a quick hop towards Anri before delivering an overhead swing, though instead of aiming directly down on her head it was to the right side of her whether intentional or not, Leon didn't notice. Fuyunaito....Why did that name sound familiar? And why is this suddenly bothering me? He had a small thought in the middle of his attack, but it didn't do anything but annoy his mind a bit. |

The reason her brother liked a one-handed stance was because he had found a certain liking to European blades over eastern swords like the katana. For instance, the hand-and-a-half sword, otherwise known as a bastard sword. Balanced well for one hand, very good for switching to two, or the other way around. Now then...Anri noticed something as she had come in with her low sweeps. Leon seemed...no, that couldn't be right. Not with that excellent deflection earlier. Well, she almost tripped him up, merely a slight stumble, before he hopped back out of range. Anri thought on this. That's strange... The jump back should have been easy. He did say he needed practice... She had been low still when his retaliatory strike came. It was a downward one that- The right! Anri shifted completely in the opposite direction that the sword seemed to come down at, effectively creating a strafe to flank as she stopped and pressed forwards at him to slash at this side, one which would strike 'deeply' if he did not do something! |

Damn she really was quicker then he estimated. As his slash came down he watched as she moved out of the way which caused something to stir in the back of Leon's mind. Something that happened back while fighting the Nightmare. Leon reminded himself of when the Nightmare had not only deflected his blade but had disarmed him in a single motion. Leon was starting to feel that small amount of anger he did during that moment. A few more things came to mind about everything though. Did he get slower? It was clear his strikes still produced one hell of a blow, he had decapitated the Nightmare and even made impact damage without removing its resistance. And he was still knocking the cans down earlier with the shear force from the small gust he was causing, even with the weights keeping them in place. Leon watched her strafe away from his blow as his hit the ground. Dodging and attacking seemed to be a style of fighting she was familiar with which was a good thing in Leon's mind. She could read her opponents well and use that to her advantage. Well, Leon had his own way of reading people and coming up with counter attacks in an instant. Which caused Leon to remember one thing as he swung towards Anri with a single hand while she preformed her own strike. However he stopped his strike only inches from her face as he grabbed her blade with his free hand. "Well, I think you did help me with something. Let me ask you something. During your fight with the Nightmare, did you notice how you felt like some of its attacks towards you felt...Like they wouldn't effect you as much? We call those Defenses. Each Persona has different types of skills they have strong defenses to, none at all, and are weak to. You see if this was in the Otherworld I wouldn't be so keen to dodge your strikes, but instead do something similar to this to gain an advantage." Leon let go of Anri's blade while moving his away from her face. Even if Anri had a face mask on the force behind his blow could easily have been felt without being hit. Leon took a few steps away from Anri and returned back to his shouldered stance, his blade resting across his shoulders once more. "White Knight's specialty, which is mine in a manner of speaking, is dealing with physical attacks. If we were training in the Otherworld I could have grabbed your blade like I just did without even breaking a sweat or any real harm coming to me. It allows me to correct my strikes on the fly. Though it seems this also has dulled the agility I once possessed. What you're doing is what I used to be able to do, and it makes me see how much I have changed." He mimicked Anri's pose from earlier, keeping his blade horizontal with the ground and aiming it at her. There was something else he wasn't mentioning and wondering when she would notice. Almost all of his attacks thus far have been counters in their own ways. Leon relied on using his opponent's strengths against them and simply withstanding their physical onslaught before cleaving them in half. He lowered the blade as and let stay at his side pointing at the ground. "It's strange really. I can follow your movements without any pause. It's my body keeping up with you that is the problem. I will admit you have the skill and resolve, but if you don't mind I want to ask you something. Besides 'Doing the right thing', what is your reason for fighting? If you can answer this without any doubt in your voice or words, then I'll allow you to join the team. If you need time to think of an answer then by all means take your time. Just to give you an example my reason isn't all that complex." Leon looked at Anri with an expression that could mostly be seen as a leader talking to his followers. He still had to admit that Tower wasn't exactly wrong in calling him their leader. He had to make sure everyone was alright and nothing too bad would happen. He had to take care of everyone as well, making sure they were fine before taking care of his own problems. "I fight to protect, is the most common one I give people. I'm no hero of justice or anything like that. I fight to make sure no one loses anyone anymore. I originally fought to protect my home, friends, and family. I'm also looking for someone. My childhood friend who is currently on the Missing Persons list. There is another two on that list, but that's a different discussion for another time. Just know that I fight to protect those dearest to me and those dearest to them." |

For one second, it seemed like a clash was imminent - either both of them striking each other or Anri raising her Kendo stick while ducking low so neither got in a hit - when Leon suddenly reached out and grabbed the end of her practice weapon. It was surprising, evident on her face enough for him to see some of her confusion. This led to a question about her feeling the sensation of a Persona's defenses, those ups and downs that they had in order to augment her natural abilities. Anri nodded at this, remembering her slam into a tree and waking up without broken bones or internal injuries. Her Persona did help her in a number of ways, as did his. "...You see if this was in the Otherworld I wouldn't be so keen to dodge your strikes, but instead do something similar to this to gain an advantage." "Grabbing a sword is not a good idea, Leon, even with your Persona helping. I should tell you that I waste little time in combat, that my opponent could be kicked in harsh places while occupying their hand with my blade. The sword is an art, but the fight is a necessity, and so is adaptation." And though Anri did not seem like a very social person, she adapted well. She was noticing that he was reliant somewhat on stopping power and counterattacking. A wise idea, but a catch-all in combat? Never. Just to give you an example my reason isn't all that complex." To Anri, the look he gave her was that of someone who's been put into his position by necessity. A leader is someone who can grasp firmly the situation and determine the best course of action, sometimes in quick order. In short, it's a feeling that weighs on you, and Leon looked like he had some of that weight to carry, like Anri's own personal baggage. Leon did not fight for justice, per se, but rather to help others. Admirable. He was also missing someone, which was terrible. Anri took this all in and responded with only a moment's pause. "I fight because people are suffering... It's very similar to your own reasons, actually. I don't wish to explain the fullness of it all, but I have been hurt...in a way, and I am recovering. There are those that deserve such things and those that do not. Shadows are not like people, though. They're indiscriminate, or insane. I won't let such creatures do as they please. Or if they do, they will not go unpunished." Edited by Nyarlathotep, Mar 4 2016, 04:42 PM.

The surprise on her face told him something. As good as Anri was, there were things that still surprised her. That was something that he would have to help her learn to phase out when they fought Shadows. Creatures of instinct found randomly when cornered. Even with her saying that she wasted little time the small time she was surprised during his grab was enough for a Shadow to leave its deadly mark. "Adaptation is something I thought you would have noticed I have between the first block and grabbing your blade. While I do rely on the defenses White Knight provides, it also allows me to surprise many opponents who were not ready for a little reckless act such as that. Still I do need to not rely on it so much as it can overtax my body even in that world. Fatigue and bruises can still carry over between worlds after all." Leon simply watched Anri. And listened. So she had something she wanted to keep a secret. Well, if it wasn't related to their business with Shadows and Delta 3-5 then it wasn't something he would pry into. He had to think for a moment. This...Was an answer he would accept for now. She had the resolve and the skills, but something was burdening her that much he could tell from how she spoke. "I can deal with that answer. Don't need to explain if it's painful or anything of the sort unless you want to. If it comes into conflict with what we're doing however I would ask that you tell us and allow us to help. We're a team whether it is the real world or the Otherworld. We have to help each other out and stick together no matter the cause. It's something we learned back in Nikawa. I have one final question, then we can get back to practicing." This time the serious tone was being lifted from his body movement and the smile on his face. There was no more need to be serious with this last question as it really had nothing to do with Shadows, Resolve, Reasons to Fight. It was just something simple that he asked anyone who joined their group or people just awakening "If there is anything you want to know about, talk about, or even just hang out let me know. It doesn't have to be Persona related either. We all have lives outside of taking care of Shadows. For instance I'm going to college to finish off my Master's in Physical Education and Associates in Psychology so I need to relax when I can. It's a great way to get to know the people you'll be working with as well. Oh and on a slightly more serious note have seen either of these people in your time here?" Leon walked over to Anri with three photos, two girls and a boy. All looked in their late teens or early twenty's. One girl had green eyes and extremely long hair black surrounded by a large group of people taking a group photo, which Leon could be seen in the back. Another was a blue eyed girl with long brown hair reading a book while angrily staring at whoever was taking the photo. The third photo contained the first girl and a boy with short black hair, both of them surrounded by young children. "These are three people I'm searching for. Any information about them prior to Shadows emerging here a few months ago would be nice. The three people here are Miya Narikama, Mai Rivori, and Duke Wolfe. All three of them are missing. Narikama-san is part of our group and has the most Shadow related experience out of anyone alive that we know of. Rivori-san is who I'm personally searching for. Wolfe-san is someone close to Narikama-san and disappeared around the same time as her. Rescuing anyone missing is important don't get me wrong. Narikama-san at the least can help us with the fight and I know Wolfe-san is the only thing keeping her stable these days. And Rivori-san of course is my childhood friend, so I have a personal stake there. Sorry for getting serious again and interrupting our training like this, but I feel you should know about our personal interests." It was clear Leon was sad while he spoke. These were people, aside from Duke who he never has met personally, he cared a lot about them. Leon was honestly only fighting to find them or find out what happened to them. If they were not involved he would have walked away until he was absolutely needed. He had already told all remaining Nikawa Persona Users to remain on standby as they would lose their powers withing moments entering the new Shadow World. If he called them in, they would be going full strength and they all understood this. "So, any questions before we continue?" |

It wasn't that she failed to notice that Leon was an adaptable kind of person. In battle, they both were. It was just that the act itself was confusing. Grabbing a sword was something you should never do. In his case, he could probably stand it, but doing so was still asking to be harmed. Now, onto that matter of her resolve and reasons to fight... "I can deal with that answer. Don't need to explain if it's painful or anything of the sort unless you want to. If it comes into conflict with what we're doing, however, I would ask that you tell us and allow us to help..." The brief flash of the flames and Mr. Kunekawa went through her mind. No, she had no personal agenda. That had been settled long before coming here. There was something relevant that Leon would have to know, but for now she listened to him continue. "...We're a team whether it is the real world or the Otherworld. We have to help each other out and stick together no matter the cause. It's something we learned back in Nikawa. I have one final question, then we can get back to practicing." "Ask it." "If there is anything you want to know about, talk about, or even just hang out let me know. It doesn't have to be Persona related either. We all have lives outside of taking care of Shadows. For instance I'm going to college to finish off my Master's in Physical Education and Associates in Psychology so I need to relax when I can. It's a great way to get to know the people you'll be working with as well. Oh, and on a slightly more serious note, have you seen either of these people in your time here?" He pulled out some pictures and explained who they were. Each one was important to him for reasons personal or Persona-related. Anri looked over each one, taking in their details so as not to forget - and, being honest, Miya would be the least difficult to spot in a crowd - she then shook her head at Leon. "I've never seen them before. I could ask-" She stopped suddenly, thinking of two very prominent figures that could help. "I don't know where to find them, but my friend Shiro could help you. He has a job here in town as an investigator. If you simply never mentioned Personas or Shadows, he could make inquiries. Aside from him, I should tell you that a friend of mine is also a Persona user. His name is Hakuro Kuroda, and he has been looking into the problem of Shadows as I have." To be fair, they hadn't started with it being all about Shadows. It'd been about strange deaths. But from there...well...you know. Of course, regarding Shiro, she had no knowledge of the fact that he was already in. Now, were there any questions she had for him? Because this was the time to ask them. She thought, and then looking up at him... "The rescue... It was by helicopter. The transition allowed us to retain what we carried, but how did you manage to bring an aircraft?" An investigator? Well Leon had thought about doing that himself, but it would have been difficult without giving away too many details. He did remember being told that there was someone with the CIA in town posing as an investigator to blend in. The odds this man being him were low, but Leon had to be careful with talking about anything and anyone related to Delta 3-5, Persona, and Shadows. "Shiro and Hakuro Kuroda? Well I would like to meet this Kuroda-san and talk with him myself. If he's as bright as you then he'd be welcomed to the team. Would rather you two not start looking around without at least informing me or one of the other...Veterans is what the soldiers at 3-5 call us. It's not to boss you around or anything, but these cultists could be hiding out in plain sight and can easily capture you and take you by surprise. Just a safety thing." That's what bothered him about this whole mess too. These cultists were far more brave and worked in the open compared to the group they put down. They managed to kidnap or kill numerous people within Rockport without any difficulty it seemed. They managed to summon Maw into their world too which was a feat in itself. Seeing her deep in thought he figured he would be answering a simple question when Anri asked about the choppers. He blinked for a moment because he was surprised. That wasn't something he was expecting, but it was still easy to answer. "The military unit we're working with has a way to create a portal to transport troops, us, and supplies into the Otherworld. However they will only last so long before they begin to decay. That's how we crossed over with it. It takes a great deal of...Huh. You know I need to ask the man in charge about something thank you for making me curious. Given the shift in nature there and the energy it must put off we could be tracked by the cultists. Well given that we're on the military base it should be fine. Have to be careful still. Back in Nikawa they managed to take out three of our HQ's at the same time because they managed to trace back the power we were emitting. That many of us gathering in one spot made us easy targets. It's far different to enter now then Nikawa I'll tell you that much." The entry methods were vastly different, but to Leon it was still the same. The biggest difference is that they went in with their physical bodies instead of the corporal ones in the Dream World. This meant injuries and death were more likely to last and carry over longer. Which worried him and made him realize he needed to retrain his entire body to not be so reckless and rush into danger like normal. "You've actually given me a lot of food for thought with that question, thanks. Anything else you want to know? Everything is on the table I'm not in the department of keeping secrets. Well, unless it's something that I truly cannot talk about which mostly is related to the Nikawa Incident." |
