"Nah; been here four years now, graduating in the spring." Miya said in response to Travis' question. "Ah, so you're moving onto the university." he remarked aloud, sounding at least a little interested. "You're gettin' rather bored, I take it?" Miya said shortly afterwards, Travis responding with a shrug which quickly evolved into a light nod. "If so we could walk around the school and I could show you around and answer what I could. Or we could just accompany each other to the school gates and see each other off. Whichever." the girl then offered.

The boy then glanced up at the clock nearby; he should've been back at the gates 10 minutes ago so he could be picked up by his mother. Travis contemplated keeping his mother waiting for a little while longer so he could get a formal tour of the grounds from someone who knew the place better than him. "Okay, sure; a tour sounds nice!" he said rather excitedly as he got up off of the chair and onto his feet. However; these plans were shattered like glass when he heard the door slam open to the tune of a rather airy and drawn out feminine voice yelling "Traaaaaaaaavis~" into the room. It was Kathy, his mother had sent Kathy into the building to fetch him and drag him back out to the car whether he wanted to or not.

The young woman waltzed into the room, her silky, short black hair bobbing about as she let her eyes wander for a second before they settled on her older brother Travis. Her face instantly settled into a scowl as she disregarded Miya's existence and marched up to the boy and began to chew him out. "Me and Ma have been sitting outside in the hot-sun for the past 10 minutes; waiting for you to show up so we could get home. What have you been doing in here, just sitting around?!" she started prattling on, wagging her finger up in the taller sibling's face. The young woman then looked around the room; looking for something to blame her brother's lateness on before now settling her gaze on Miya.

"Oh, you made a new friend?" she asked, turning her head towards her brother as she subtly pointed a finger at Miya. She outstretched her hand towards Miya, turning her closed, pointing hand into an open one. "Hi there, my name's Katherine, with a K; not a C." Katherine said, a wide smirk on her face as she kept her hand outstretched. "I'm sure you and my crazy-ass brother here were having a fine conversation, but he's been keeping me and my Ma waiting outside in the blistering-heat for far too long, so I'm afraid he has to say goodbye." she continued, putting emphasis on the "afraid" as she used her free hand to grab her older-brother's shirt collar in an iron-clad grip. "Hey-hey, careful on the shirt Kathy, this is one of my good ones!" Travis said in an annoyed tone as he lightly tried to pull away and loosen his sister's grip.

"Alright let's g-"

Miya was...Well downright surprised and startled by the sudden loud voice. A girl walked into the room directly to Travis after saying his name and, well, began yelling at him. With the way it was going on it sounded like this girl knew Travis to a degree. After she said "Ma" sounded like his younger sister. Or older. Just looking Miya could tell it was most likely the younger sister since they tend to be more annoying like this. Her single visible eye showed annoyance when the girl addressed her.

"Miya, charmed. And ya know it's not that bad out there."

That came from the girl wearing a black longcoat, had black hair that went down to her waist and covered partially her face, and a black beret on her head. Yeah she was either really not bothered by the heat or something else.

"Well Katherine if you two need to get going I'll walk down to the entrance with you. I suppose I should get going as well anyway."

"Miya, charmed; and ya know it's not that bad out there." Miya said, introducing herself, seeming rather visibly annoyed by Katherine. The younger girl was oblivious to this expression, however; as she was struggling to keep her brother in check through a tight grip of his shirt's collar. "Well Katherine, if you two need to get going; I'll walk down to the entrance with you. I suppose I should get going as well anyway." the elder girl offered shortly afterwards. "Oh sure; you and my brother, here, can wrap up whatever it was you were talking about, maybe plan your next little get-together, and then we can go our separate ways for the time being." Katherine said, letting go of her brother's collar and lightly clapping her hands together once. The relief of being free was short-lived for Travis; as his sister grabbed his sleeve as quickly as she had let go of his collar and started pulling him along. "Come on Al, Momma's-a-waitin' for us." she added in a tone that seemed to be a mixture of borderline-mocking and playful, with extra emphasis put on the "Al".

As the trio stepped outside the room, Kathy wanted to start a nice conversation with her older brother. She snapped her head in a near-robotic manner and started back up. "So Travis; Mother's having some potential business partners coming over tonight, and she wants us to leave a good impression. So, please; try not to be a crazy dumb-ass like you usually do, okay?" the young woman asked, chuckling a little afterwards. Travis sighed, this little witch enjoyed embarrassing him in front of people, didn't she?

"Please pay my sister no mind; she's simply spouting nonsense." Travis fired back. The younger sibling shot the older one a glance; the two were going to have a quick back-and-forth. "...Says the guy who yelled at the lake on the first night we moved in." Katherine countered, rolling her eyes. "Hey; I had every right to think that somebody could be spying on us." he attempted to counter, sounding quite defensive. "You were yelling at a lake at 3 in the morning because the glare was 'unsettling'" she informed him, pushing him into a defeated silence as she smirked rather triumphantly.

"Already forgot what it was considering you came in here all pushy-like. Though I suppose that's siblings for ya." Shrugging, Miya followed behind the pair but in the back of her mind saddened by the fact she didn't have a younger sibling of her own and never really experienced that kind of thing outside of the kids at the foster home.

While the two bickered she just listened in. Business partners? Well she figured it was something to do with the business Travis mentioned his mother owned. She paid it no mind though, was something she didn't really care about it was his business.

"Wait crazy?"

Kathrine went on to tell about a small story with Travis yelling at the moon's reflection. Miya tried her best to hold a deadpan face but broke out into laughter when Travis tried to defend himself. Now THAT is golden.

"You yelled at the moon?!? Oh my god. That's funny! Oh man that's just...."

Miya let out a small chuckle that began to slowly turn into full blown laughter.

Oh god, Travis thought, Kathy had turned Miya on him now; he was outnumbered. Katherine turned her head to Miya and continued. "-And it wasn't even just a light yell, like one you'd toss at a neighbors dog in the middle of the night or something that could be picked up from down the hall; he was screaming at the top of his lungs at the lake at 3 o'clock in the morning. If we lived closer to people, they probably would've filed noise complaints or somethin' from how loud he was yelling; it echoed throughout the whole entire house." she explained, chuckling every now and then as she went on. Travis looked away, a grimace on his now-crimson face.

"Mother is a well-known rich socialite, Kathy; it's only natural I think we might be stalked every now and again. Large estates usually scream wealth, which only makes it seem even more obvious, so it's a worrying thing to think about." Travis prattled off, pleading his case in one last-ditch effort to win the argument. The sister smirked and let out a tiny, evil-sounding chuckle. "So you prove your point about 'screaming wealth' by dolling yourself up in fancy silk shirts and lovely cashmere vests?" Katherine said in a matter-of-factly tone, giving Travis' clothing light pinches as she pointed them out and smirked at her brother. He opened his mouth and raised his finger to speak, but couldn't find anything working against his sister in this situation; she was dressed rather casually compared to her "dolled-up" brother, nothing worked in his favor that he could use. He silenced himself in comedic defeat; it was only until the trio reached the front door that he spoke up once again.

"Well; there's mother." the boy said as he gave a subtle point in the direction of a glossy pearl-white sedan parked over in the far end of the parking lot. Strolling around the front end of the sedan was a woman who's appearance couldn't exactly be made out from this distance, talking on a cellphone. "Any particular reason she's parked all the way over there?" the boy asked, stopping in his tracks regardless of his sister's non-faltering pace, his tone bordering one of annoyance. "If you were going to make her wait longer; she was going to make you walk a little farther. Besides; it'll be some well-needed exercise on your good leg!" Katherine stated, only stopping to explain to Travis for a few seconds before continuing her brisk walk to the other side of the parking lot. He sighed and turned to Miya.

"We can part ways now if you'd like; I'd rather not drag you across the parking lot just to say goodbye if you have any objections."

Miya tried her best to keep herself from laughing but she couldn't stop. She wasn't even thinking Travis was crazy, just someone who you would easily have a good time with if he did such things in private. The way his sister would spin a tale though you'd wonder if she could write books. With her laughter subsiding a bit, Miya turned towards Travis and smiled while crossing her arms

"Chillax dude. IF you want to howl at the moon be my guest. Sides people might need a good wake up in the middle of the night. I don't know but honestly it sounds like you might be able to show people a good time if that's how you act."

Kathrine then went on about Travis' attire. Miya looked at her own and then back to Travis'. Wow his clothes really were fancy compared to hers. Tilting her head a bit, Miya began to actually look at the material closer without getting too close to Travis. Just by looking she could tell not even on her salary could she even dream to afford even an inch of that.

As they reached the entrance Miya noticed a car rather far off, the siblings pointing out it belongs to their mom. Wow they were gunna both embarrass and punish him? Well poor Travis is all Miya could think. Still it was rather amusing to watch the two siblings go at it. It made her both smile and sad on the inside.

"Alright I don't mind. I gotta go back and grab my things from the music room before I head off anyway. Catch you later Travis. And Kathrine next time we meet you need to tell me more of those stories okay? Cya."

With that Miya ran back into the building and up to the music room to gather her things. Well it certainly was eventful that's for sure.

"Alright, I don't mind. I gotta go back and grab my things from the music room before I head off anyway. Catch you later, Travis; And Katherine next time we meet you need to tell me more of those stories okay? See ya." Miya said as she re-entered the building, leaving Travis to start his way across the parking lot to his mother's car. Kathy had reached the car long before Travis, leaving her and Travis' mother to wait as Travis took a few minutes to finally get across the parking lot. When he finally reached the car, his legs tired and worn out, his mother spoke first, her eyes hidden by a pair of pilot-style shades. "Dinner's been canceled, something came up on our visitor's side of the table so they had to call off any plans." she said, shoving her phone back into her pocket. "Well that's nice; more time to relax for me then." the boy said, hobbling to the the rear door of the car, stepping in, and sitting down next to his sister, who had done the same thing.

As his mother opened the door, sat down in the driver's seat, and started the car, she started asking questions, skeptical of her son's new female friend. "So, who was the lovely lady you were talking to?" his mother asked, a singe of annoyance suckered onto her voice from waiting on her son longer than she expected. "Her name's Miya apparently; she seems like a nice girl." Katherine said, cutting Travis off before he could speak. He mentally face-palmed; no one was letting him say a word for himself today. He remained silent while his sister and mother conversed on the drive home, them discussing several different topics that didn't really click to Travis' interests.

When the 3 finally pulled up by the front door; the son went up to his room and pondered upon several different things. However, it always seemed to return to his meeting with Miya; he honestly hoped that the two would eventually meet back up in the near future. He shuck his head for what seemed like the hundredth time today, changed into some pajamas, and went to bed; his day finally over.
