Amidst the many stalls set up by various clubs and such decorating the main lobby of the Ravencroft Institute there is a single stall, behind which a staff member sat. A stern faced young man with brown hair and a Rockport Police Department uniform, Christopher Kenneth, head of the small Police Academy and Law Enforcement department at Ravencroft Institute. Next to him is what looked like a very large gumball machine which was humming aggressively and jostling about its contents. Filled with various plastic orbs that seem to have paper inside them. Fiddling with a pen on the table, he sighed irritatedly, he was clearly out of his element and it was unpleasant for him.

Above him was a sign which clearly read "Ceremony Raffle Signups" and before him on the table, near the pen he was currently playing with, was a clipboard and paper for writing down your name. He released the pen and let it roll freely back to it's nesting place next to the clipboard.

"If you want to sign up, write your full name on the line and turn this knob here." Is what he would say to those that passed by, examining the table. He pointed to the knob which worked the crank on the gumball machine to dispense the bubble like plastic objects. Afterwards he leaned back in his chair, making sure to keep his eye on the crowd just in-case anything suspicious happened.

"If you want to sign up, write your full name on the line and turn this knob here." the man said as Travis hobbled up to the Ceremony Raffle Signup booth. He gave the booth a quick look and shrugged. "Meh, sure." the boy said, writing his name on the aforementioned line. He then turned his attention to the knob, giving it a careful turn. He jumped a little as the machine clinked and clanked and, eventually, dispensed a small plastic capsule.

He carefully picked the sphere up and gave it a quick look over before finally opening it. He opened it and was greeted to a single number.

48

"48... I got a 48." he said to himself quietly as he stuffed the number into his pocket and returned to the Gala facilities.

Masato was walking around lobby, looking at all of the booths that were set up. It seems that one of them was getting a bit of attention, the raffle booth. "If you want to sign up, write your full name on the line and turn this knob here," Said a policeman. Masato waited for other students to sign their names and get their tickets before doing these things for himself. After signing his name and opening up his capsule, he received the number seventy-three. He looked at the piece of paper before stuffing it into his pocket and walking off.

The announcement about the raffle, or rather the rules for entry, intrigued the bluenette as he went about the gala with an otherwise apathetic expression on his face. Such a thing interested him, and so he entered when given the chance. Calmly, he turned the knob with one of his pale hands and listened to the humming machine as it produced a singular capsule. With a sigh, he opened it and, after a moment or so, took a look at the number.

"10."

He muttered. Running his fingers through his hair, the bluenette left to get something to eat.

As he went about the festival, Shu came to the raffle. Naturally, it wasn't one of his better days, so he was feeling a tad down. The number he got when he turned the knob and opened the capsule served only to worsen his mood slightly,

"Four. Well, that settles it, I'm truly in despair."

The student adjusted his lab coat with a frown, and made his way elsewhere.

Miya wasn't one for crowds but she liked trying her luck with things. Hearing the explanation she walked up to the booth and quickly wrote her name down and turned the knob, grabbing the plastic container and opened it, lifting her bangs to get a clearer look with both eyes.

"Thirteen huh? Well what are the odds"

Miya Narikama - 13

"Excuse me! Pardon me!"

Leon was running from what looked like a swarm of girls chasing him through the festival. This had been going on since the speech earlier and he was starting to tire out from all the running. Sometimes he hated being blessed with such good looks and charm if only because of situations as these. Seeing a popular booth he slips up to it and listens.

"Oh the raffle? Might as well give it a shot."

Leon quickly wrote down his name and turned the knob quickly, grabbing the ball that it produced. He smiled at the number.

"Lucky number 7. Alright le-"

"THERE HE IS!"

Leon's eyes widened as he immediately took off.

"If you want to sign up, write your full name on the line and turn this knob here."

And here our hero was next in line to mess with this gumball machine that would decide his fate in a simple game of chance!Heeding the officers words he quickly jotted his name down and turned the crank slowly but confidently almost lie he knew what number the machine would throw his way.The gears turned and soon the machine produced a ball that was now in the palm of our expectant heroes hands. With a sly grin he tossed the ball high in the air.

"The next thing you're going to say is 'You've drawn number seven!'"

Elric caught the ball as it fell back to him a triumphant look on his face as he opened the sphere.....

""OH NO!!! I drew 18 by mistake!!!" He was clearly over exaggerating as his hands were both on the sides oh his face as he yelled. But the moment faded and with a quick motion the ball was tossed away and the number put safely into his pocket as he walked off to continue on with the days festivities.

May fortune shine on our heroes ill fated luck.

The silent voice within one's heart whispers the most profound wisdom.
Alicia sheepishly walked over towards the raffle table, nervous about putting herself in the limelight, if even for a moment. She approached the table; avoiding eye contact with the officer who stood in it’s midst. She extended her arm, only grabbing the first piece of paper she felt.

“nineteen,” she mumbled to herself. The only connection she made in her mind was its connection to the moon arcana.

Nia walked up to the raffle with a group of her friends from track as they laughed, although she wasn’t really laughing. Although she enjoyed her company she had too many other things on her mind and often missed the punch line of every single joke they made. One by one each of them went to grab a sheet of paper. Right as the rest of them had begun to walk away, Nia dug her hand and pulled out a sheet of paper, reading her number as she followed behind quietly.

Fion decided to try and find something to do and quickly noticed what looked like a raffle and the first thought that went through his head was "I'm so entering this i might win something." so Fion quickly walked up to the stand and got ready to sign up.

he saw what looked like a cop and asked what was needed to enter and was soon told."If you want to sign up, write your full name on the line and turn this knob here." and with that he followed the instructions cheerfully and quickly found out his number was eleven.

"eleven huh why's this number feel like it will be important to me in the future..."

The girl with eyes red as her blood, named Shiro Higanbuna, her eyes wondered to the attractions of the ceremony, two clubs caught her notices, she will join them when she has the time to.

"If you want to sign up, write your full name on the line and turn this knob here."
The man's voice was clear through the voices of the students, he was wearing a police looking uniform.
She takes a quick look, at the machine and at the sign up paper.
She smiles calmly at the thought of being lucky enough winning something, but what would she do with the prize? ever it is.
But she nodded agreeing to join, " I would like to write down my name, it should be an enjoyable event to ease myself into the night." she said while writhing on the note, it should be fun and like she said would be easing her into the festivities of the night.

As she wrote down her name, the machine clinked and rumumbered, and a little ball came out with a small number written down on it.

57

"Huh a strange pick, but I'll hope for the best and wait to see who wins." She smiles and started walking off to get something to drink, she thirsty.

Hotaru was wandering around when she noticed the booth with the police officer inside, wandering over as she heard his words. A raffle, huh?

"Sure, why not?"

She wrote down her name and turned the knob, removing the ball after it popped out. With a small little prayer for luck, she glanced down at the ball.

"I got 2."

With that, she stuffed the ball in her pocket and walked away, for some reason craving something extra sugary.

HOTARU HOSHAKUJI- 2

Riley had been heading for the library to do some light reading when she spotted the booth. Feeling a bit lucky, she wandered over, keeping her gaze away from the male officer in charge of the booth, quickly jotting down her name and turning the knob. Once the ball fell out, she picked it up and stared at it for a moment.

"99."

With that, she stuffed the ball in her bag and walked away.

Well the gala had officially started. Isaac was wondering what exactly he was doing here but why bother with such formalities now? Let's just see how the night goes from here on out. And of course, the first thing that caught his attention was the Raffles booth. If there was a prize involved, he might as well have given it a shot. "Alright, let's give this a shot..."

He signed his name up on it and hoped that he would have some luck in this. And with that he turned the knob and looked at what came out.

"...Number 1." Funny.

"Man, sure is crowded today huh?"
said the redhead. Kate nodded and then turned her attention to the stall with the policeman. "Ceremony Raffle Signups". A raffle... That sounded like fun. "Hey, can we go try that out?" she said while pointing to it. "A raffle huh? Sure, it sounds like fun!"

With Cammy in tow, the two went over to it and both took one each. "I got... 21! What about you, Cammy?". The red haired girl simply smiled. "I'll keep that a secret for now. Let's just hope one of us wins, huh little sis?"

Aaron's eyes wandered around curiously, as he walked around the hall. His expression however, didn't change a bit. Several students were trying their luck with the raffle, and Aaron wondered if he should give it a shot. His luck wasn't the best one. He ended up shrugging, and trying it anyway.

After signing up, he turned the knob. Ball rolled out from the machine.
"Well, this number I didn't expect..." He thought in his mind.

Lian looked at the list of names that was lying next to the intimidating professor and felt the urge to try her luck at the machine too. There was no hurt in that, right? A lot of others had participated as well so Lian excitedly picked up the pen and carefully drew her nme on the list as well. Then she clasped her hands together two times in silent prayer for luck. Maybe the gods looked down on her favourably today! After a short moment the girl looked up again and turned the knob with a twist of her wrist.
An 8! Lian laughed happily and decided today had to be a good day! 8 Was the chinese lucky number, so even if she didn´t win anything today, she would be having luck anyway.

While Alex didn't even remotely remember what he was doing there, instead of going to hook up with some girls, he certainly did want in on the piece of unknown cake that was behind this whole shenanigan. "OFF! TO THE UNKNOWN DESTINY!" was his response, as he pretty much cut through the whole line and wrote his full name on the piece of paper, twirling around the pen a few times before doing so. "So, what's the chance of actually getting picked on this thing?" he asked the stern-looking man. After a minute of VERY awkward silence, almost like the man sitting there was just a doll, Alexander shrugged off and twirled the knob on the machine, tapping his foot on the ground to the music and public noise that floated around in the area. The ball came out and he realized the number that came out with it. "69...." he smirked and giggled a bit, as his sunglasses slid down the bridge of his nose a bit. Such a..... "lucky" number.

Hmmm...a raffle, eh? Well, Hakuro certainly liked games of chance. After all, he was a lucky sort, so why not? With a laugh, he wrote down his name, used the knob of the machine, and produced a...wait a minute. Stuck. Laughing sheepishly, the young man moved the knob around again, shaking the machine a little, until finally...

"Hakuro-san, would you like a hand?"

Turning, he found Anri Fuyunaito standing quietly behind him. She had snuck up on him after seeing him work on the gumball device and grinned with embarassment as she noticed the problem.

"Well, I think a pair of the things got stuck in there at once. Happens sometimes."

"Then...it just needs a bit of persuasion?"

"Sure, if you're up to it."

"I am."

He moved back and, much to the surprise of our law enforcement officer, she kicked it swiftly in the side and knocked loose whatever had been stuck. And indeed, Hakuro then pulled out two plastic bubbles with papers in them.

"The winner, and new champion, Anri Fuyunaito!"

"....."

"Have a raffle ticket."

She took the extra one and looked inside. Interesting... You know, of course, that the tarot card number for Justice is 7 and the one for Fortune is 10, correct? The two of them received Luck and Justice squared...
