"I'm already part of them so I wouldn't mind showing you and this other guy around. Introduce you to people and all that. Just don't get too, how should I put it, aggressive. The teachers here take injuries on other students rather serious."

"I only give to people what they deserve. I would never harm the innocent... Thank you for your offer, though."

They seemed to be enjoying themselves, or at least doing well. Anri was the most-surprised to find herself doing this at all. She was not the type to, and yet here she was. What sort of person was this Leon anyway? It was most peculiar... Then, out of the blue, Leon surprised her with a question she hadn't expected to hear.

"Ya know I never did ask, where did you and Hakuro meet? You two seem like you have some history if you were ready to kick my ass for wearing his coat."

She wasn't sure how to answer it, and the pause would be noticeable in her actions right off. How much could she say without going too far into details that she didn't want to get to? Leon was a nice person, but he hadn't earned this, not just yet.

"I met him recently, and he's been helpful to me. People like that, I have respect for and return favors."

She did not wish to go into detail at this time, obviously.

"Wasn't talking in that manner but I get what you mean. If they deserve it go ahead and knock em out."

Leon shrugged while he said that. He was right along there with her on the whole give them what they deserved. If someone was going to hurt someone for no reason Leon was sure going to give them a fist to the face. Still he didn't like to if he could help it.

"Don't mention it. Helping people is what I do. And I agree with ya on Hakuro. He could have easily just have left me in the hands of a horde of girls but he helped and got me out of there. Though I hope the girls don't figure out what he's done. That would be bad and I really don't want to run while wearing a suit. Very uncomfortable."

Now he had the thought of him outrunning a swarm in a suit. Funny thought but the pain he would be in the next day as well as a ruined suit.

His approval of her general line of thinking put her at ease, at least a little. It was a sort of selfish thing to think, but Anri felt more comfortable around situations where people just accept what she is at this time, rather than actually try to change her. What she was...was what she had become as a result of things in the past. And that result was not a mistake, it was a truth, a horrible truth that must be observed. That is why she reacted in such a way to possible threats or injustices, because she was opened to suspicious possibilities.

"He seems to be one of those think-fast talk-fast people, and maybe run fast, but I think he may be in trouble if they corner him, so I would have to take steps. It would be unacceptable for them to run down a friend of mine."

She had been looking in Hakuro's direction as he appeared to be talking his way out of a bit of trouble and confusion - successfully, we might add - when Anri looked back up at Leon again, curious...

"How did you get the attention of so many people? It's almost self-destructive."

"Fast talk. Yeah that much I agree with he got seemed to have been born with a silver tongue. Though it's easy to outsmart some of these girls."

A few simple turn arounds and ducking behind corners can easily give some of them the slip. The more persistent ones have learned how to follow Leon through a crowd and how he dodges and gets around people. As well as to the point a few can actually keep up with him running at full speed. They sure love their eye candy. Which Anri asked about. How to explain this was the first thing to come to mind.

"Every watch anime or read manga about high schools where there is that one pretty boy that all the girls swoon over? That would be me. Handsome, charming, and all around genuinely nice."

Leon smiled, a sort of animeish smile complete with a small shine off the lights.

It was a matter of fact that Hakuro was having no trouble at all. For, even as we speak, he was looking for a pair of maracas and trying to get people to do a conga line. Not that there would be any available, but it was a matter of fact that he always wanted to be a part of one of those lines, just because they were ridiculous. And you know? That was his other big asset: He was just...unexpected. Everything about him said that, and that way of life made him interesting.

For a moment, Anri just sort of looked at him funny. Okay, yes, she was aware of this kind of trope, but she didn't believe that it was real. Not...until now, anyway. How in the name of any particular god did he manage that strange glint? He must have practiced, which is funny...because if she told that to the other boy, HE would try it too.

"I think I believe it now, but I wouldn't if someone else had said so. Even so, you are putting yourself at risk there. Those characters tend to get hurt in the crossfire, and you seem to be having some of that already if you are incognito. Maybe you should explain this to them."

"Yup. That's my life one of an anime pretty boy. I really hate it to be honest but least I'm never alone."

It was a halfhearted joke which the tone of Leon's voice showing he really didn't like that he wasn't left alone while at school. Though he didn't mind showing up to the movies with an entourage of girls behind him with each wanting to pay for his ticket. Which Leon denies. He's just too nice.

"You're right bout the crossfire. Any girl that isn't part of their little group gets pretty much stampeded if they are talking to me. Guys will get trampled too. Nature of the beast. And by beast I mean scary girls."

Anri suggested explaining to the girls he presumed she meant and started nervously chuckling. It was one of those that basically told you "Haha....Yeah....." Leon had tried before. It didn't work out. Not at all.

"They stalk me more. Or start bawling like their god left them to die or something. It's not worth the headache."

"You're too nice, Leon. You'll have to do something about that."

And she was right. Those harem characters really tend to get mashed up alot at times. She didn't know Leon that well, but it was an hoinest truth. The Senpai of Kindness was its own worst enemy, for allowing people to take too much of an advantage and expect more because he's a nice guy. And then, there are all the girls vying for him like some monstrous regiment of women... Well, he'd sort it out eventually. Somehow... In any case, the song ended and that dance was over. Anri politely bowed to the boy.

"Thank you for the dance. Excuse me..."

No matter how much she might get close to someone, she felt ultimately distanced. The night of the fire was still in her mind, the night of fire and betrayal... Anri walked off, but...for a moment she entertained the idea that it was nice to have friends again. As for Hakuro Kuroda, he wasn't worried about Leon still being in his attire. He had more of those in stock!

"Too nice? Would more say I'm a gentlemen more than anything. But to each their own, ya know?"

Was he? Leon could say for himself but he just did what came naturally to him and what felt right. And being kind to others was something he valued doing and enjoyed doing because it made him feel good. That and it also made other's feel good as well so it...Just felt right. When Anri had bowed it took Leon a moment to realize what it was, returning the gesture.

"Oh no Anri, thank YOU for the dance. Oh and tell Hakruo I'll deliver his attire tomorrow or the following day. Depends on when I do laundry. Have a pleasant evening Anri."

Leon tilted the hat and began walking out the front doors. He still had something else he could do before he left for home. Might as well enjoy it with some privacy for a change.
