The silent voice within one's heart whispers the most profound wisdom.

Alicia suddenly found herself in Kyo's arms, much to her surprise. She wasn't exactly used to such forms of contact, but couldn't help but accept it in her current state. She embedded her face into his jacket, taking heavy breaths through the material as if she was crying, but her face was dry. SHe couldn't help but think of the person who was mangled in the school fields. She couldn't help but wonder what their thoughts where and how they managed to get themselves into such a situation. Was it something they did who set off the killer, or where they only a victim of circumstance; only dead because they were there at the right time. But regardless she felt like no one deserved such a fate. She couldn't comprehend who could do such a thing, mush less even consider such a thing. But as fast as her mind was running, she felt her heart rate and breathing decelerate from the closeness they had shared. Most of her relationships, even that of her parents, where always quite strained. If she was with them, she would have been still standing there shaken, or have simply been told to follow them. She nodded slowly to the boys reassurance, as if he had read her mind. The thought that something could happen so close to where she sleeps at night wasn't exactly the most pleasant thing to imagine. He said to her it was probably the best time to leave, Alicia agreed and followed the boy out. She wasn't exactly ready to let go of Kyo even though she could keep her balance, it was the comfort he needed. "That was... somethin' else..." Alicia couldn't agree more, "Yes.. yes it was," she was afraid to mention her vision and how it might of been of that corpse who was located in the fields. She couldn't help but wonder if it was a warning. But her thoughts were broken by the boy who had asked her if she wanted to go home yet. "I don't want to be alone right now," her voice was feeble, hardly even audible; but the fear was more than evident in her voice. |

Kyosuke walked the shaken up girl, as she seemed to be deeply absorbed in her thoughts. While he wished that he could somehow get her to stop thinking about it, he knew that ignoring it outright was a silly thing to do. Doing so would only let the images and fear grow inside her... Fester and spread. He knew a similar pain, after all... Nevertheless, she seemed to break out of her concentration and respond to his question. "I don't want to be alone right now," Alicia told him. Her voice was so faint, more than likely out of the speechlessness of the events that had just transpired. Kyosuke himself found it difficult to find words to sum up what he had just experianced. Twisted? Demented? Warped? Nah, those didn't even come close. Regardless, Kyosuke broke out of his own thoughts and sighed in relief. He hitched up a weak smile and looked at her "Good, cause I don't think I do either" he said, trying to make himself sound positive for herself. However, even for someone like him, trying to stay positive in such a messed up situation was proving quite the daunting task. "Let's just... Grab a seat, over there." he said to her, gesturing with his hand towards a bench that was nearby a large fountain. Were she to agree, he would make his way over to the bench with her, sitting down and leaning against it heavily, to the point where he was looking directly up at the stars. Well, at least what happened on the ground hadn't ruined what could be seen in the sky. He had already realized it, but he wasn't letting go of her hand just yet. He squeezed her hand gently. Maybe it helped... Maybe it gave him a feeling like that there was something still safe. Safety for him, safety for her. Maybe it just reassured him, helping him feel better that he was not alone in this damn fine mess. Or maybe, he just needed to the strength to get through it himself. Though he tried to put on a tough front, it could easily be seen on his face that he was exhausted. His mind had burnt out after trying to process everything that had happened and his spirit had been cut in half. He felt so weak right now... and he hated it, because there was someone who needed his help and he was too busy trying to get the cork out of his brain to help them. Though this had been a great-night-gone-wrong, for now, it was a moment of calm within the storm of the night. Far away from the panic at this point, the only sounds that greeted Kyosuke's ears were the gusts of wind and the trickling of the fountain. "Hey, Alicia..." he muttered over to her. "Is it okay if we just... stay like this for a while?" he asked her, in an almost pleading voice. He sat up properly and turned to her, trying to find the words to speak. "This... was a pretty messed up night... But it wasn't all that bad, I'd say. Got to dance with a pretty girl and hold her hand!" he said, trying to feign some energy. It was barely convincing, but that didn't stop him from trying. "...Sorry, it's just all been so crazy tonight... Trying to find some light in things..." he said to her apologetically, fearing that she thought he wasn't taking things seriously. Edited by Crow, May 28 2013, 08:28 AM.

"Good, cause I don't think I do either" the boy said with a weak smile to which she reflected back. Although his spirits were not as high as usual -and rightfully so- his efforts were appreciated. He offered her to sit, something she didn't mind at all. If there was anything she needed was to get off her feet. She didn't quite feel like she would faint, but she has seen people faint over things far more mild. Alicia felt the warmth of Kyo's strong, warm grip. She lacked his strength, but her grip tightened as well. There was a longing to be found in her body language, her grip, and just how close she was to him as she sat beside him. At that moment, he seemed to be her anchor; her grip on reality. "Hey, Alicia..." Alicia turned her head to look at him. She focused intently, hoping he could get her mind off of the image that her mind still has yet to turn away from. "Is it okay if we just... stay like this for a while?" She nodded in response, "of course. she wondered why it was him asking her. She didn't quite realize until now that he too was deeply afffected from what he saw. She almost immediately felt guilty for her sefliishness. She brought herself closer to him, hoping that she could comfort him as he had comforted her. Alicia listened to the boy as he recalled the events of the evenig that lead up to the event. A grin spread across her face when he called her pretty. She hardly ever got such comments so it was something she deeply appreciated. Although she waited until he was finished, there was something that she disagreed with, "No, don't' apologize; and I t wasn't a messed up night, It was a great night; Only something messed up happened tonight." There was a finality in her tone, something that almost overshadowed the weakness in her tone; something he hasn't quite seen yet. |

Kyosuke was quite relieved to hear that they could remain as they were. He quite honestly didn't have the energy to move anywhere else. He was even more reassured when he felt her clenching against his hand as well. It was.... most relieving, having someone to rely on, for once. Usually, it was him who tried so hard to be that person to everyone else and when push came to shove for him, he only had himself to depend on. He believed it would make him stronger, but in truth he had grown so lonely from it. He was human just like anyone else, and it was so hard for him to deal with it by himself. Hell, had he gone through tonight by himself he may have just broken completely. However, thanks to her presence next to him, he felt like there was some relief to his struggles at last. He let out a refreshing sigh of relief, glancing at Alicia as she came closer. He smiled warmly at her, ever thankful of her caring actions. He felt much better now, and not completely out of whack. "Well, all things considered... I think this is pretty nice" he said to her. "No, don't' apologize; and I t wasn't a messed up night, It was a great night; Only something messed up happened tonight." Alicia said to him, her voice showing a sense of resolve that he found quite surprising, given her nervousness throughout the night. It was, however, a most welcome reaction as this helped Kyosuke as well- the firmness in her voice was positively infectious, instilling a bit more spirit within the downed boy. "Heh... Yeah, you're right. I'm glad to hear that i didn't totally mess up your night" he said to her, smiling up at the sky. "This was... nice. We should do this again sometime. Well you know, the hanging out part I mean" he said, his depression beginning to slink away thank to Alicia. "...Thanks, Alicia. A whole lot. I feel much better now" he said, grinning at her. His grin still wasn't at maximum energy but, it was certainly an improvement from before. He let out a somewhat tired exhale of breath, leaning against Alicia, feeling her warmth both in body and spirit. "One hell of a night..." (OOC: since the deadline for event threads is about two days away, i figure we should close this up soon. Hope you dont mind!) Edited by Crow, May 29 2013, 01:01 PM.

Alicia smiled in response to the boy's offer to see him again. "I think I would like that," she said with a tone that wasn't quite as shy as what people normally hear from her. "No," she said correcting herself with an afterthought, "I know that I would like that." Alicia was glad, if not a little surprised, that her pep talk -if it could even be called that- actually managed to work. It would mark perhaps the absolute first time she had done so successfully. She took a deep breath that was followed by a subtle sigh of relief. The smell of Kyo's natural musk filled her nose; that subtle scent seemed to almost have a calming affect on her body as she sat beside him, closer than she has with any man. She felt like she should have been nervous, but for some reason she wasn't; if anything she was calmer than ever. She wondered to herself, "Who is this boy, nothing as ever calmed me in such a way." Alicia checked her phone, not realizing just how late it was. it was almost midnight. She was unsure for just how long she has been sitting beside Kyo, but all she knew was that it didn't feel long enough. She didn't want to return to her dorm, because she knew that the amount of sleep she would get in the coming hours would be minimal at best. "I guess we should head back," she said with a sigh, the disappointment was evident in her tone. "Could you..." she said with her volume dipping lower as she felt awkward asking, "walk me back? |

"I think I would like that," she said with a tone that wasn't quite as shy as she had been sounding. It seemed that she was slowly opening up, and this made Kyosuke grin. Perhaps he had finally done something right for once. This feeling was cut short soon, however, as she remarked that it was getting quite late. Sneaking a peek at her cellphone he was shocked to see that it was indeed midnight. He whistled, showing his surprise at the time. "Dang, didn't realize it got so late" he said. "I guess we should head back," she said with a sigh, sounding disappointed. It was a little bad for him to have done so, but he almost felt a little happy at that fact. It gave him a slightly warm feeling inside of him, like someone actually wanted him around for once. It was... a nice feeling. "Could you..." she said with her volume dipping lower "walk me back?" she asked. He grinned at her, and began to stand up. "Sure! I think both of us deserve a good night's sleep tonight... If we can manage it." he said to her, scratching the back of his head. Given their location, it would not take much time for them to reach the dorms. As Kyosuke glanced up at the building, he saw that most rooms' lights were on. He looked down at her with a smile. "You've got my number, right? Let me know if you wanna talk, or meet up some time. I'd be more than happy to drop everything!" He looked at her for a short while and pulled her into a warm hug. Pulling away, he parted hands with her for the first time that evening. "I'll see you around" he said, in almost a whisper. He gave her one last gaze of happiness, and made his way into the dark of the night, waving back at her. Indeed, for everything that had happened today, it wasn't all bad after all... [Kyosuke Exit Thread} |

Alicia walked with the boy, her eyes shifting a biy more of a daze than what she was accustomed to. The day was tiring to say the least. Her body was heavy with fatigue, each step dragged forward a bit more than usual. She glanced towards the nearby dorms, many lights where still on. Where all these people afraid to sleep as well. Alicia understood their fear, for she partook in the very same thoughts, albeit her's where darker. They did not hold the same burden as she, this ball and chain of guilt she couldn't help but bear. She saw danger coming, but was powerless to stop it. She turned her head to the boy as he spoke, nodding quietly as he suggested hanging out once more. She felt the warmth of his embrace, taking it all one last time before departing from is company. She gave a sheepish smile and wave goodbye just before heading up the stairs of the dorm. Upon entering her room, she pressed her back to the door, letting her body slowly slide downward and collapse upon itself until she was seated. So many things have occurred today; some that was good, some that was bad, and some that was very ugly. She quickly hung up the rest of the clothes that she had tossed around earlier that afternoon and got changed into something more suitible for rest, although she hardly even remembers her head hitting the pillow.
