Lord Squishy, Official PRR Secretary.

When Hakuro brought up the notion of thinking they were all fools, Rei simply shot him an innocent expression. Naturally, given his arrogance it simply couldn't be helped, especially given Jhonathan's demeanour, Tory's... well, Takeda couldn't quite place what his general issue was with Tory, perhaps it was simply that he paled in comparison to Hakuro and himself. And speaking of the hatted boy, out of the trio before him, Rei could easily say that the other Japanese boy was the only one he felt any semblance of genuine respect for, not just false courtesies. However, in a matter of minutes the aforementioned innocent expression faded back into stoicism, which in turn soon gave rise to a bit of a frown as Hakuro shot down the notion of meeting at a place such as the library. Yet, with the reason why such a place (or any potential meeting place, really) was not a wise choice of location, Rei couldn't help but give a reluctant nod, adjust his glasses, and turn his gaze skyward for a moment, donning a pensive expression as he did so. So, if that's the case then... our only real option is my home. No one is ever there other than myself... but perhaps it would be wise to see if Tory or... Before completing that thought, Rei shot a rather calm glance at a rather clueless Jhonathan and the boy trying to get him back down to earth from whatever realm his mind just so happened to be locked in at that moment. Never mind. Perhaps it would be wise to see if Tory can come up with a better solution than inviting them in... Regardless, Rei quickly snapped himself out of his thoughts and ran his fingers through his hair, turning his gaze on everyone in the group as opposed to focusing on anyone specific. Of course, he was quick to direct said gaze to Jhon as the Latino boy began to speak. Taking in the ideas presented to him, Rei found himself silently cursing both the simplicity of the solution to their problems, and Jhon himself for proving him wrong. Odd, that... how at times the most simplistic train of thought could produce the greatest solutions to problems thinkers could not solve. Regardless, the bluenette found himself with an instinctive smirk on his face, one he soon suppressed for the sake of looking unimpressed, "...I must admit that I am impressed with your suggestion... and the only real flaws to using the internet and things of that nature would be potential hackers. However, it seems unlikely that a hacker would target a few high school students' computers anyway. As much as I'd hate to admit it... perhaps I'm coming to respect you a little." Naturally, both the first and last sentences were spoken with a deep tinge of irritation about them, as though Rei simply couldn't believe he was saying such things even though they were coming out of his mouth. Regardless, the final sentence was also something of a half truth. It wasn't quite respect for Jhonathan himself, merely his thought process. Regardless, the bluenette let out a sigh and reached into his pocket, only to produce a rather expensive looking smartphone, gaze at it momentarily and pocket it again before giving the three a few parting words. It wasn't really that he was needed elsewhere as he implied, simply that he didn't want to continue speaking at that time, "...I'm afraid I have places to be so I must bid you all farewell. My phone number is... (Insert a fake phone number here), and I go by the handle Cipher online. Regardless, goodbye." With that, the bluenette bowed, turned, and was on his way. Well, the long and short of it appeared to be that they wanted to put a little more faith in phones and internet anonymity than a physical meeting place. That suited Hakuro, being the on-the-go traveler who doesn't like to stay in one place anyway. Really, this stint in Ravencroft was going to be the longest that he'd stayed anywhere for too long, aside from home in Okinawa. Still, while this was all getting developed, there was commentary from Rei...whose stance on the matter was a bit standoffish. The way he said he was coming to respect them all sounded like he hated to admit that sort of thing, like saying so was against his personal code somehow. Nevertheless... "...I'm afraid I have places to be so I must bid you all farewell. My phone number is... (Insert a fake phone number here), and I go by the handle Cipher online. Regardless, goodbye." He was off. Life throws you a few oddballs, and this was one of them. That was okay, because Hakuro was another. He started by volunteering his own phone number and to say that he'd be in touch. "People call me Hatto Ken Ko-to, or the Hatto-san, and it's also my handle online. Oh, and you might end up hearing from a girl with glasses called Anri. She's a friend of mine, and the one that put me up to investigating. You learn anything, you share it with her, alright? I'm gonna go. Sayonara!" Exit now the hat-and-coat, finding somewhere else to go and something else to do. |
