Aaron wasn't surprised, when Kyosuke rushed towards him. His speed however, was higher than he anticipated. It was clear that Kyosuke's plan was to overhelm him with his speed, which was a smart tactic against stronger opponents. Aaron could tell he was facing experienced fighter, who knew how to use his strong points to cover his weak points. Unfortunately for Kyosuke, so did Aaron. Aaron knew he couldn't match Kyosuke's quick hands, but then again, he didn't need to. Aaron wasn't a natural fighter, so he didn't have fighters instincts. His base was high concentration, that allowed him to systematically observe everything he sees. This allowed him to see through Kyosuke's feint, and even the Hakuro, who was attempting football tackle behind Kyosuke. It was a bit surprising that he would engage the combat so quickly. Aaron was sure that Hakuro would join after either of the more experienced fighters would be down. Seeing through Kyosukes right hand strike was more difficult, since it came from un-ordinary angle. Aaron realised blocking it would make him lose his balance. So, he didn't block it. Instead, he used circular right hand motion to direct it over him, and at the same time he took a step back so he could get in the right range. Then he made a quick spin and throwed powerful back-kick targeted at Kyosuke's head. Kick's were Aaron's speciality, and they were almost as quick as Kyosuke's punches. Aaron was sure Kyosuke could dodge the kick, but then he would fall victim to Hakuro's tackle, and vice versa. Or was he quick enough to dodge both? Edited by Froststep, Jul 19 2013, 09:07 AM.

Much to Kyosuke's dismay, his reckless tactics had landed him in a pincer attack. His brain sent jolts throughout his body warning him of the obvious impending danger from both sides. For a split second, to him, things moved in slow motion, himself included. To his right, he could see that Aaron had unleashed a whirlwind of a kick at him. The strike seemed to be incoming quickly, and he would only have a second to make a movement that might dodge or block it. However, Hakuro was also inbound with a sliding tackle, the intents of which Kyosuke could not perceive at the current moment in time. His heart practically raced at a mile a minute as he tried to figure out what to do. He could maybe dodge Hakuro's tackle but that would leave him wide open for Aaron's kick. One could not simply dodge an attack whilst in the air, after all. He could also opt to dodge Aaron's kick but then would surely be tripped by Hakuro, leaving him open to both. The stronger attack was clear, but the long term effects bore more importance. He could not lose footing now. Time returned to normal for him as the two attacks came full force. With a quick grunt, Kyosuke hopped with both feet, contracting his knees as he did so. As a result, Hakuro's leg passed right under him for the briefest of moments before Aaron's kick struck. The elevation had altered due to the jump and as a result, the kick struck him a few inches below the chest causing a dull pain to resonate within the area. Kyosuke only had a split second to have the air leave his lungs before the force of the kick took full effect, sending him hurdling forwards through the air a short distance. He landed on his back and was winded further, yet he could not afford to stop now. Taking in the momentum and a breath of air at the same time, he kicked with his feet, sending him into a backwards roll. He was now on one knee, grabbing at his chest with one hand and inhaling deeply for a minute before he scrambled forwards in a quick burst. He had not wasted too much time since getting knocked down, and though his chest stung, he knew he could not afford to waste time with these two. Hakuro was on the ground and appeared to be rather vulnerable to a kick from his position but for now, Aaron was still standing. He had to choose between the greatest threat present and the most vulnerable threat present. Hoping to have the element of surprise as Aaron and Hakuro were busy, Kyosuke rushed in, using one of the riskiest techniques he had learnt. As he came close to Aaron, he pushed off the ground with his left foot, lifting his right knee into the air and his fists poised under his chin in a traditional boxer stance. He would quickly get within alarmingly close proximity of Aaron upon which he would shoot down his right leg towards the boy's ankle, with the intention of bruising his movement. At the same time, he launched a quick uppercut with his right fist, aimed directly at Aaron's chin. Sometimes, being shorter than his opponent allowed him better opportunities. One of the attacks would probably hit, which was good enough for him seeing as they were both going to weaken Aaron for later. The merit of the move was that it occurred in a burst of speed, which resulted in a significantly low reaction time for his enemy. The downside was that at the end of the combo, he would be wide open to retaliation from all sides for a brief moment. Were Aaron to endure the attack and retaliate or were Hakuro to strike him during this timeframe, there would be little to no chance of him being able to dodge. He may be able to block, but only barely. There was also the issue of whether Aaron could dodge his combo, in which case he would have wasted much energy for nothing. |

By football, he actually meant soccer. Still, instead of knocking the two boys into a tumble via the tripped-Kyosuke-projectile, the scene played out thusly... Kyosuke had jumped up to avoid his sliding foot, then got himself kicked away by Aaron's foot. Hakuro had seen the way the kicked boy recovered from that and was rather impressed. However, he DID have the small problem of being somewhat prone in the face of battle and so near Aaron. Well, there WAS one thing he could do about it. Hakuro barrel rolled at Aaron in a manner that would either throw the boy off of his feet or get him to jump over him and not immediately focus an attack on him. Regardless of which actually happened, it was distraction enough for Hakuro to get on his feet...which now left them in the position suitable for Kyosuke's renewed attack. Given that he was now on the opposite KYo's position, Hakuro immediately moved into a full-on shoulder-slam. Someone was getting hit by it. Either Aaron would because he was busy with Kyosuke, or Kyosuke if he somehow missed Aaron. |

Strong kick connected with Kyosukes chest, sending him flying backwards. Aaron could feel he had done some damage, though Kyosuke had been able to null some of it's power by jumping in air, while avoiding Hakuro's tripping attempt. Speaking of Hakuro, he seemed to realise his disadvatageous position, and he tried to change it. Hakuro tried to roll towards Aaron's feet, trying to make him fall. Though Aaron had his leg still extended to a kick, it was easy for him to avoid it with small jump. As he landed, he was making plans how to deal with the Hakuro, but Kyosuke wasn't done yet. Aaron was surprised how quickly he had recovered from the kick, and even more surprised of Kyosuke, who seemed even more determined. Aaron barely dodged Kyosuke's stomp, aimed at his ankle. However, Kyosuke had used it only as an opening, and now he was throwing an uppercut aimed at Aaron's chin. Aaron smiled a little, since punch like that would be easy to counter... The four fingers penetrated Kyosuke's throat, making blood burst out, Aaron pulled his bloody hand off, allowing his opponent to fall on his knees... Aaron frozed as the image passed his eyes. Next thing he felt was sharp strike hitting his chin, making him stagger backwards. If Aaron wouldn't have been used to Shottori-sensei's strikes, he would be in La la-land right now. Still it felt like his head was spinning. And not only because of the punch. What happened just now? Sudden impact on his back returned Aaron to his senses. Apparently, Hakuro had tried to shoulder tackle him to the ground. If he'd been a little heavier, it might have had worked. Out of reflex, Aaron grabbed Hakuro, and tried to throw him over shoulder, and at the Kyosuke. "STOP! Time up." Shottori-sensei yelled. Aaron turned to look at him and, noticed he was carrying 2 very large trouts. It seemed that he had found use for Hakuro's fishing kit while 3 of them were fighting. "Winner goes to the decision of referee, which is me. Want to know who it is?" He asked. Edited by Froststep, Jul 30 2013, 02:21 PM.

Fear. Kyosuke's pupils dilated behind his contacts as his gaze met Aaron's for the brief moment that his fist rose through the air. His stomp had missed once more, but the fist rose steadily. For a micro-moment, he had the sense that it would be countered, but that sense was dulled when Aaron's eyes changed for the briefest of moments. For that small moment, he did not see a emotionally-dull lad, not a determined fighter, not a focused combatant. No, he saw the eyes of someone who was ready to survive. Someone who was ready to kill. As if hit by some invisible force, a sense of dread unlike ever before washed over Kyosuke as the fist touched the man-boy's chin. He didn't think he would be countered. He didn't think the attack would miss. He thought that he was going to die. Just as quickly as it had triggered, it disappeared and there was thud as he struck the boy's jaw. His left arm began to move by itself; it brought itself up near his chest in some sort of bizarre attempt to somehow protect Kyosuke from something. He didn't even notice it happen, due to him watching Aaron as the boy reeled from the attack. The combo had finished and the vulnerability period passed with no intervention seeing as Hakuro chose to charge at Aaron. Kyosuke quickly brought his fist back close to him. The punch had left Aaron dazed if only for a little while, for just as Hakuro reached him he attempted a quick motion, that of which seemed to be akin to a throw of sorts. Kyosuke had begun to make a movement, but that was when the old man's voice called out to them. "STOP! Time up." he said, walking up to them. Kyosuke turned to him and popped a quizzical expression as he stared at the two fish in his hands. When on earth had he done that and how on earth had he found the time to do that? The fight didn't feel all that long... Well, either than or this old man was one hell of a fisherman. "Winner goes to the decision of referee, which is me. Want to know who it is?" He asked. Kyosuke eased up his posture, using the back of his left hand to wipe away the sweat from his forehead. He was puffing lightly, the adrenaline leaving his body to its after-effects. "Hooh..." he breathed out, flopping down onto his hindquarters. He propped himself up with his left hand, placing his right arm over his now bent right knee. "That was one hell of a rush..." he said, somewhat out of character. The deal with Aaron a few minutes ago was still bothering him. He then turned to the old man to address his question. To tell the truth, he wasn't really very interested in finding out who the 'winner' was, considering he had had quite the fight with the two boys. There was definitely much to learn from this. Hakuro, though apparently not all that combat-efficient seemed to be rather good with sudden attacks as well as being able to act on-the-spot. Aaron... Aaron was without a doubt a seasoned fighter levels above Kyosuke. The fact that one of his punches were actually able to hit Aaron was -now- a surprise in itself. Something must have slipped him up back there. There was no way he could defeat Aaron one on one as he was now... Though, Aaron's moves had been recorded in his mind as if he had engraved it himself. He could use this to develop his own methods and find ways to counter it. Though victory was not had, he had much to gain from surviving their encounter... a fact that could have changed a couple of moments ago. "Sure, let's hear it 'stachy" he said, occasionally peering over at Aaron. Edited by Crow, Aug 1 2013, 09:28 AM.

Well, he hadn't knocked over the slightly-disadvantaged Aaron, but he had gotten past him while still largely unhurt. That was a definite good thing on this matter. And furthermore, his shoulder slam had indeed connected, which was a boon because this was all improvised fighting technique - no actual style aside from how random and unexpected it could potentially be - against two experienced foes. Definitely a problem, doubly-so for the fact that Aaron was grabbing him for a throw, using some his leftover momentum before he could do anything about- "STOP! Time up." "Wha...? Already?" Time flies, it seems, when you're fighting for fun. Hakuro turned and...looked rather surprised at the two fish in the Sensei's hands. This man was...quite good at catching fish, because they were not really at it for very long. Right now, Hakuro wanted him to teach his super fishing technique. Forget the fighting, this puts dinner on the table! He Hatto-san smiled at him now. "Winner goes to the decision of referee, which is me. Want to know who it is?" "Sure, let's hear it 'stachy" "Why not?" |

Shottori-sensei put the fishes down and crossed his arms in front of his chest. He glanced each of the the young men, before he announced: "The winner is... Hatto-kun." He had a small pause to let words to take effect, and then he continued his speech. "Why, you ask? Hatto-kun was only one of you three, who didn't make stupid-ass mistakes. Actually, he did a good job considering he was up against two high leveled fighters. You two, on the other hand..." Shottori-sensei had a dramatic pause before he stated his reprimand. "First, Kyosuke. Though you were obviously more experienced than Aaron, you got hit pretty badly. Wanna know why? TACTICS! You tried rushing in trying to surprise him with your speed, which isn't a bad idea, if fighting against lesser opponents. Unlucky for you, Aaron is pretty good at countering, and you got caught in the crossfire because of it. And what did you do when your strategy failed? You tried it again. Had Aaron not frozen, before his counter, you would have had your face squashed in."Aaron twitched a little. When Shottori-sensei noticed it, he turned his attention to him. "You thought I didn't notice it Aaron? For Heavens sake boy, if you can't control your heart and fear, how do you expect to survive fights that have your life on the line?" He sighed as he finished yelling at the two. Then, he picked up the trouts he had fished, and handed the larger one to Hakuro. "Consider this as your prize. Oh, and one tip: Local trouts like dragonfly-larvae. And Aaron, this concludes our training today. I'll go to meet my old friend, and I will ask him if he can find some grenades for me. Have a nice day kids." With that, he took off, whistling and swinging the trout on his hand. Aaron bowed to his leaving sensei. He sincerely hoped that sensei had joked when he talked about grenades. Dull pain in his jaw reminded about Kyo's punching power. Aaron was amazed that he had not lost any teeth for that. That only reminded him more about the images he had seen. What was that feeling he had when he saw it? He wasn't sure, but afterwards, he had felt only horror. Would he be able to do something like that? Aaron looked at Kyosuke, who seemed to watch him varingly. Of course, if Shottori sensei had seen it (while fishing) Kyo must have seen it too. But what had they seen in him? "How's your chest?" Aaron asked from Kyosuke, while feeling his own chin. That guy really knowed how to punch. |

"The winner is... Hatto-kun." said the old man, pausing a bit. Kyosuke smiled and turned to Hakuro. "Well done, Kuroda-san" he said. Truth be told, it did make a lot of sense. Hakuro did seem to be the one who had screwed up the least in their battle, which was most impressive given that he was up against Aaron and his skill level. The sensei went on to explain why Hakuro had been selected as the winner. Just as he had thought, it was because he was the most composed of them all. Kyosuke's smile faded as he began to address the two of them. He flinched as the old man began yelling at him, lecturing him on where he went wrong. Jeez, this was certainly a new experience! Lacking a teacher in his past, he had never undergone the sensation of criticisms other than his own, however though he was pelleted by the force of the old man's words, he listened intently, because he seemed to know what he was talking about. Had Aaron not frozen, before his counter, you would have had your face squashed in." he barked. Kyosuke sighed in defeat, it was true; that was a pretty boneheaded move. When the old man put it like that, though, it certainly did sound pretty damn stupid. He would need to work on that more, develop alternate actions that he could take. He had not seen it, but now that he thought about it, using the same strategy over and over again was really stupid. Mixing it up would be a very good idea. However, those thoughts aside, it seemd that the old man had noticed that Aaron had frozen up during the battle as well. Kyosuke eyed him as the old man yelled at him as well. Indeed, it had been a most unothodox slip-up. Had that not happened... things would have turned out very differently. Which meant that he would need to work on that combo a bit more... Yet it was a bit difficult by himself. Perhaps he could consult Hakuro and Aaron for practise another day? Not for a spar, but as a joint practise session to develop techniques. Ah but that was still a far away possiblity, he would do well not to get ahead of himself. The old man handed Hakuro the larger of the two fish, something Hakuro seemed pleased about. The old man told Hakuro something about larvae and then walked off, but not before announcing that he was off to get grenades. Kyosuke's eyes popped as the man said it. What!? Was he serious?! GRENADES?! Who the hell was this guy?! His mind screamed in panic as the sensei walked away. However, Aaron bowed to his leave, seemingly unaffected by the out of sorts statement. He then spoke to Kyosuk from where he was, rubbing his own chin. "How's your chest?" he asked. "Oh" Kyosuke said, acknowledging the sudden conversation. He felt at his chest, rubbing it a bit. It still felt like someone had lit a fire inside his chest... "It burns somethin' fierce, but it should be alright in a few days, haha!" he said, laughing nervously. Damn, it even stung to laugh. "That was one hell of a kick, man. How's your jaw? Not broken, I hope?" he asked. The last thing he wanted to do was inflict a serious injury like that, though it seemed unlikely for someone of Aaron's stature. He then paused a moment as the boy answered, pondering over what happened. "Are you... alright?" he asked Aaron. "It doesn't seem like someone like you would just freeze up mid-combat like that. Not feeling well?" he asked the boy. He also thought to inquire of Hakuro's well being, though the boy seemed to be relatively unscathed. "How about you, Kuroda-san? Doing alright?" he asked with a grin. |

"The winner is... Hatto-kun." "You what now?" "Well done, Kuroda-san" "Why, you ask? Hatto-kun was only one of you three, who didn't make stupid-ass mistakes. Actually, he did a good job considering he was up against two high leveled fighters. You two, on the other hand..." And...the teacher proceeded to ream the hell out of the two more-experienced fighters while Hakuro The Terrible stood shocked that the man had considered his paltry moves the best and well-thought-out actions out of the three of them. Of course, the Hatto-san was TRYING to pit them against each other and take advantage of their personal combat, but that was out of necessity, namely that single combat against either of them with him could end him up very hurt indeed. Actually, his ankle hurt a bit from the actions he'd been taking so as not to trip and tumble into the lake...which would have disturbed the fish. Speaking of which...the Sensei now handed him one. "Consider this as your prize. Oh, and one tip: Local trouts like dragonfly-larvae. And Aaron, this concludes our training today. I'll go to meet my old friend, and I will ask him if he can find some grenades for me. Have a nice day kids." "Thanks. Uhh, wait. Grenades? What the hell do you-" "How about you, Kuroda-san? Doing alright?" "Fish! I mean...yeah, I'm okay. Just caught off guard a bit. I think I'd better put this guy away." What? Of course he had a container for the fish. You didn't think he'd just...? Naaah. He put it away and then rinsed his hands off in lake water, as the scales of a fish were kinda' nasty to him. "Well, I learned something today. You don't question the judgement of Senseis who throw grenades." |

"It burns somethin' fierce, but it should be alright in a few days, haha!" Kyosuke answered while laughing. Still, Aaron could tell he was more hurt than he admitted. He didn't believe that he had broken any of Kyo's ribs, or damaged the organs. At most, he was going to have very big bruise to take care of tonight. Aaron had to give him credit though, since normal guys usually drop when they get hit by his kicks. "That was one hell of a kick, man. How's your jaw? Not broken, I hope?" Kyosuke asked. "No. It feels a little loose, though." Aaron replied. While it was true that his jaw was okay, same could not be said about rest of the head. Kyosuke's upper had incredible power. Only Shottori-sensei had hit him harder, and that was saying much. Aaron's head was still spinning, and he had to concentrate, so he wouldn't lose his balance. "It doesn't seem like someone like you would just freeze up mid-combat like that. Not feeling well?" Kyosuke's question cut his trail of thought. "I'm not sure what happened, to be honest." Aaron answered in his toneless voice. "How about you, Kuroda-san? Doing alright?" Kyosuke asked from the winner of the fight. Hakuro seemed to be confused about something, but Aaron wasn't sure what it was. "Fish! I mean...yeah, I'm okay. Just caught off guard a bit. I think I'd better put this guy away." Hakuro said after realising he was being talked to. While he put the fish in the box, Aaron fetched his backbag, that was left under the nearby tree. While Aaron was putting his shoes on, Hakuro begin to talk: "Well, I learned something today. You don't question the judgement of Senseis who throw grenades." Aaron sneered a bit. "I don't think he's serious about that. And if he was, it's more likely that he's going to have me throw them at him." Aaron replied with his usual tone. He really hoped that Sensei WAS kidding about grenades. Then again, you never know about tha man... |

"Fish! I mean...yeah, I'm okay. Just caught off guard a bit. I think I'd better put this guy away." Hakuro said, moving to store away the large fish in a container. Kyosuke cracked up a little at Hakuro's sudden reaction with the word "fish". A good comedian could make a joke at any moment, but a great comedian could make a funny reaction at any moment. Reactions were often more funnier to him, though. "Good to hear" he said in response, using the back of his sleeves to wipe away more sweat from his face. He laughed when he heard Hakuro mention the old man and his grenades. "True, that! Hopefully he wasn't serious" he responded. "No. It feels a little loose, though." Aaron responded. "Aaah, sorry abut that" Kyosuke said, scratching the back of his head. He felt a little bad about that, but of course in combat someone was obviously going to get hurt. They both were, so there was nothing really to feel so bad about. On a more serious note, it seemed that Aaron didn't know what caused him to slip up either. This proved most unsettling, for if he himself did not know what it was that caused such a fearsome change, that could mean that there was some kind of underlying intent beneath him. He wondered what Aaron would have been through to have become like that, if that were the case. Or perhaps he simply had inward bloodlust? There was no definite way of saying, but what was set in stone was that it would be most disastrous were this side of him to emerge fully. If a simple glimpse of it exerted this much pressure... Kyosuke shuddered to think what it would be like to fight it. After all, Aaron himself was skilled in fighting as he was, let alone without the help of brutality. The more grim thoughts aside, Kyosuke chuckled at what Aaron said. "That is one crazy teacher you've got there, man. Smart guy, though!" he said. Kyosuke stood around for a moment with them before he suddenly realized something he had forgotten to do. He reached into his pocket, looking around at them. "Say, you guys wanna swap numbers?" he asked them. [If they answered no,] "Ah, that's cool"he said, a little dissappointed. Ah well, he couldn't friend everyone by being straightforward. Still, it didn't mean that he couldn't be friends with the two of them. He let go of his phone in his pocket and shoved his other hand in his other pocket as well. "This was pretty good guys, hopefully we can do it again!" he said, smiling. "I've gotta get going. Catch ya guys later!" he said before he walked back a few steps, promptly turning around and beginning to head back home. He did not know how to contact them, but he did believe that they would cross paths again some time. With any luck, it would be sooner rather than later. [If they answered yes,] "Sweet!" he said, grinning. He then exchanged numbers with the other two boys, looking forward to interacting with them in the future. Perhaps they would even fight once again. He put the phone back into his pocket and looked back up at them. "Thanks for the great fight, fellas! We should do it again sometime!" he said, grinning. "I'll see you guys around!' he said, waving a hand at them before beginning to make his way out of the area. It had been an eventful day and a good one, but for now it was time to go home and rest it out. There were certainly more fights to come. [Exit Thread] Edited by Crow, Sep 4 2013, 05:28 AM.

"I don't think he's serious about that. And if he was, it's more likely that he's going to have me throw them at him." "True, that! Hopefully he wasn't serious" "Well, I wouldn't wanna be the one to find out, not even on a coin-toss." Contrary to popular belief, Hakuro Kuroda does not suffer from an inability to make decisions or to decide if something is too crazy to pursue or not. That would be Two-Face Syndrome. Instead, it was merely those things that he was not able to immediately decide whether it was good or not that he flipped on. Uncertainty was his mortal enemy, besides boredom, and so he beat it down with the will to make a random toss and run with it. That was Hakuro's game, anyhow. It got him through this mess and even taught them all a lesson in fighting. Also, fish. "That is one crazy teacher you've got there, man. Smart guy, though!" "Agreed. Though...I know someone he might like to talk to." "Say, you guys wanna swap numbers?" "I'm okay with that. I make a habit of collecting a huge number of contacts." After doing so, Kyosuke left to take care of the rest of his day. Hakuro turned to Aaron now. "I know a girl who's rather driven and capable in martial arts that might want to get acquainted. Part of her family is really good at it. You and the Sensei may like her. You want me to send her your way sometime?" |

"That is one crazy teacher you've got there, man. Smart guy, though!" Kyosuke chuckled. "Agreed. Though...I know someone he might like to talk to." Hakuro confirmed. Aaron nodded as response. Though Shottori-sense was eccentric, sometimes childish, and certainly crazy, he was very intelligent person. Mastering 8 different martial-arts and several single techniuqes from other arts wasn't exactly a stupid man's feat. "Say, you guys wanna swap numbers?" Kyosuke asked casually. "I'm okay with that. I make a habit of collecting a huge number of contacts." Hakuro answered. Aaron, who wasn't know as talkative person, pulled his phone from the side pocket of his bag. "Sweet!" Kyosuke grinned. After changing numbers, Kyosuke said: "Thanks for the great fight, fellas! We should do it again sometime! I'll see you guys around!" "Until next time, Kyosuke." Aaron replied. He was certain that next time was going to come. Kyosuke striked as a guy, who was driven to get stronger. He would learn from today, and he would grow stronger. Aaron wondered, how soon their next fight would come, and how much they would be grown in that time. Hakuro turned to talk to Aaron, after Kyosuke had left. "I know a girl who's rather driven and capable in martial arts that might want to get acquainted. Part of her family is really good at it. You and the Sensei may like her. You want me to send her your way sometime?" He asked. "I'm okay with it. Though I'm not sure if it's wise to present her to my Sensei. I might end up in another handicap-match, and I have a policy of not hitting a girl." Aaron answered in his usual tone. Of course, he had no policy of "no FIGHTING a girl", and Sensei knew that. "By the way, you should show that ankle to the doctor, just in case." He continued and lifted his bag on his shoulder. He had noticed Hakuro favored his other leg when he rinsed his hands in the lake. "See you around, Hatto-san. And sorry you had to get through this fight." Aaron said with faint smile. He then started walking towards home, gazing the still waters of the lake. Exit thread Edited by Froststep, Sep 4 2013, 06:37 AM.
