The silent voice within one's heart whispers the most profound wisdom.

Alicia's ears perked when he said that he was no oracle or prophet. She wasn't sure if he was the superstitious type, although he did point out the possibility of a supernatural occurrence. She realized she hasn't done many readings while she was here, this one shouldn't hurt either. she turned to the boy who had just spoken, finally ready to reply, "I suppose that is where I come in, I suppose." Her words just short of a whisper as she withdrew her deck. An antique that has seen more than either of them combined, perhaps it could grant them it's wisdom. She shuffled her deck with uncanny accuracy, being sure not to bend the cards. Her deck was in as good condition as when she had received it, and she wished to keep it that way. Once the deck's order felt right to her, she withdrew her first card. "Eight of swords," she said indicating the arcana first. "It is a symbol of powerlessness and confusion," she said, understanding how it fit their current situation all too well. She withdrew her second, "The Hierophant. It represents seeking out the truth and deeper meanings, as well as conforming, or joining, a group or cause." and then finally for the last card, "The Magician. It is a symbol of power and capability; Understanding the situation and acting accordingly. Also a symbol for making and carrying out plans." She pondered the reading with a pensive expression, connecting the card's meaning to determine what the deck was really saying. "It seems that although we don't understand it now, but if a group is assembled, we will be able to figure out what to do about this." she nodded to herself, it was logical advice. Sometimes it still surprised her that divination can in fact provide proper advice. |

Rei simply watched as the girl produced the deck of tarot cards, his expression turning to interest as she did so. Had the situation been any different, he would've chosen to simply rely on himself, and the results he could produce. However, the deck's previous reading had been accurate, so hopefully this time it would be able to produce a similarly helpful result. Adjusting his glasses, the bluenette let out a faint sigh as Alicia first flipped over each card, and then went through his meaning. Naturally, one could not hope that such a deck of cards would produce a result akin to spelling out the murderer's identity, but at the very least it produced the means to finding it. That was to say, reversing their helplessness by finding talented individuals, ones with talents that were relevant to their cause. "I see." He replied, as the reading came to a close and the girl more or less spelled out the very same conclusion he'd come to. At that point, Rei donned a pensive expression and began to think... what sort of people would be the wisest to recruit out of those he knew? And upon coming to a logical conclusion, he began to wonder... was it wise to introduce the girl to Tory, Hakuro, and Jhonathan? It was the only real option other than forming a group from scratch, and as nice as that option seemed it would be generally annoying to seek out like-minded individuals when three were so close by, already prepared to seek out the truth. Therefore, the only thing that remained was... to introduce the girl to them, and to restate what they knew. With that conclusion having been come to, the bluenette began to smirk and speak, "...I am already acquainted with three others who wish to investigate this. As much as I dislike working with them, I believe it would be easier than needlessly creating tasks to complete, at least for the time being. The three of us typically meet online, so I suppose it would be wise to give you the necessary information, no?" In short: the notion of working with those three individuals was troublesome, yes. But again, it was easier than seeking out others, they were intelligent enough, and perhaps working with someone he actually liked in comparison to those three would make it all far easier. Coming to such a conclusion (or rather, mentally restating such a conclusion), Rei sighed and began to stretch, only to begin speaking once more, giving the relevant details like usernames and the established virtual place of meeting. At that point, he concluded with a rather disinterested, "Do you need me to repeat that?" |

Alicia watched the boy ponder, assuming that he knew more people who were willing to join such a cause. Though it was all based on the fact that he must know more people than she. Alicia's solitary habits didn't leave much room for socialization, thus creating a severe lack of contacts. In her current position, she has only two friends, and she is speaking to one of them now. Her thoughts turned to Kyo for a moment, could he help in such a situation. He was nice, but he never seemed to be the calimniatory type based on what she had seen of him. She instead decided to wait on whomever Rei had to offer first. Rei mentioned that he knew some people who could help, people whom he has met online. He mentioned how he disliked working with them, and she wondered why but decided it may be best not to ask. He offered to give them their contact information, to which she nodded in response. She felt odd taking such information for some odd reason, as if it wasn't hers to take. So she decided to ask something of Rei, "Could you let them know that I will be joining you all? I'd rather them know," she said in a weak tone. In a sudden moment, she added more to what she had initially said, "Just... leave out the... yah know..." she looked noticeably nervous. She knew Rei was accepting, but only because he saw evident proof. She couldn't expect them to believe that such a thing without any proof, proof she did not have. She turned her glance to the scenery it was getting quite late. It seemed to hit her in a wave, a realization of sorts. She felt like her burden had been lifted, if only enough for her to hold herself together. She didn't expect telling Rei would help her so much, but it seemed him listening -and the plan that they had formulated- was enough to put her mind at ease. |

With a response given, Rei simply nodded to the girl's requests. Namely because it would be unwise to not let the other three know someone would be joining them, for one... and secondly, that the whole "oracle/prophet" thing simply didn't feel as though it held much relevance, even given the situation. Perhaps it was Rei felt the other three would be as skeptical as he was, and therefore such a thing would be foolish to state outright unless they all met and the girl had a vision. Giving a faint nod, the bluenette replied, "Frankly, I think those two things are necessary." Turning his focus from the girl and his own thoughts to their surroundings, there then came a faint bit of mental musing on Rei's part about how much time had passed since classes had ended. Perhaps it was because when one was lost in thought, the seconds simply seemed to fly by with no indication of slowing, even though one's own perception of time wasn't really altered. However, a falling sun and students departing wasn't really a way to accurately tell the time, now was it? Giving a faint exhale and adjusting his glasses, the bluenette reached into his pocket, produced his phone, and then gave it a quick glance before once more pocketing it, standing, and speaking, "I'm afraid I must take my leave, so... farewell, I suppose." With that, the bluenette proceeded to walk towards the door, and then down the stairs. His footsteps echoing, and then slowly fading away after a certain point. (Exeunt, social link go! Also, my apologies for this post... it's... not very good.) |

Alicia couldn't help but feel a hint of relief as Rei agreed with her two points. Although she initially forced the knowledge unto him faster than she would have liked, but regardless he has proved himself as a loyal friend through his understanding and respect for the situation alone. She felt as if she was worthy of such a friend, but she only wished she knew how to pay him back. It seemed the boy was in need to take his leave, "Goodbye," she said in a subtle smile that she rarely exhibited, "and thank you," she said in a weak offbeat fashion that made it seem last minute, but he tone was genuine. She looked around the scenery, now that she was alone, realizing how low the sun was in the sky. It was later than she thought. Her mind was at ease when she reached her dormitory, in a fashion that felt almost abnormal. She was so use to a feeling of unease that she worried if something was wrong with her. But all of her petty delusions were washed down the drain in a hot shower. After drying off, she lay in her bed as she stared at the stars that danced among the moonlit sky. She couldn't quite remember when she fell asleep, but it was sound. No longer did her fears haunt her night. She felt almost as if she had people to rely on, everything will be alright; and that she is not alone. [exit: Social Link Go!] |
