"PARTY TIIIME!!!"

Welcome, one and all, to the Homecoming Court, an area of event filled with food, fun, and f- games that's so large it spilled out into the courtyard from the Institute main lobby it was housed in. You could find most anyone here, either as the customer or the one serving said customer. What do we call these people? Attendents? Court Staff? Event Personalities? Who knows? Not really important. What you SHOULD be paying attention to is the general breakdown of the area and everything in it. Let's start with...

FOOD:

Given that this is both like a carnival and a festival, you will find foods of that sort here. But because the Ravenroft Institute is also an international school area, you will find...Booths From Abroad! These spots are scattered throughout the event, as well as the regular foods. As a rule, the heavy stuff that requires anything along the lines of grilling is outside. Safety first! Thus, you have your hamburger/hotdog type places, your funnel cake, your deep-fried everything, your fresh lemonade or your choice of soda...but there are others.

Making a good show of things was the Italian cuisine, as well as German, Greek, Polish, Japanese, Chinese, and several things from the UK. Where else besides the United Nations could you expect to find several forms of pasta with garlic bread, a number of pork recipes, proper gyros with lamb, perogies to die for, sushi and takoyaki with pocky, chow meins and lo meins, and fern cake with shepard's pie? Okay, maybe at Epcot...

One particularly-odd sight outside was a tent for Italian ice. The whole inside of the tent was this chilled area that held a big slab of ice kept cold enough by way of trapping the air inside the tent that was being artificially cooled. The operate of the stand in front of the tent was well-coordinated in breaking ice off from the whole, mixing it in with your choice of flavor, and serving it with a swift flourish without spilling a drop. The operator was a black-haired young adult Japanese fellow by the name of Max Fuyunaito.

FUN:

Several things The first thing is that some of sports equipment was actually being used in other areas (like in the court or the volleyball game), but outside you could borrow a few of the remainder if you wanted. Just sign it out first and...try not to hit anything too close to the building. There was an art area out there as well with a contest to see who could paint the best optical illusion. There was also the formal 'pie duel', water balloon tosses, someone in a dunk tank, and a hot air balloon which takes you up for a little while for a bird's eye view of the whole area.

Inside...someone had set up a Dance Dance Revolution machine. Standing next to it was an adult Japanese man in a clean business suit, nearby a sign reading "CAN YOU MATCH THE REVOLUTION KING?". Wait...what? Yes, indeed. The man's name was Hito Fuyunaito, and he was an accountant. He was also fleet of foot when it comes to dancing. Are you ready to face the salary man? This was an open challenge, to the point where he'd just take on a whole group in a challenge to copy his moves.

F- GAMES:

Several, inside and outside. One reason alot of sports equipment had to be allocated was because you had several cases of needing to throw balls at the dunk tank, or through hoops and tires, or tossed at things to knock over, or trying to bounce them against the floor to land in a cup on a pond. That kind of thing. Many of the games you would see here - which require a little luck and skill - you could find at an amusement park. You could get small prizes for things, say. There were even wheels of chance and-

"FISH!"

Okay, among other things, there was a particular stand which was set up for the fish-scooping game...though this one was a little different. Not only was there a tank full of little fish to pull out with paper nets, but also a wheel of chance labeled with 1, 2, 3, Fisher's Choice, and Hakuro's Choice. (The last two are rare.) Yes, indeed, this was no ordinary fishing game, but the return of CATCH THE FISH: THE GOLDEN! You can play normally, or dare to spin and see if you can get extra paper layers to work with. The 'choice' ones? Self-explanatory.

Have fun!
