![]() "I'm not liking this case one bit. People are getting murdered and disappearing every night in this city, and we don't even have a suspect." ![]() "I know, Chief, and it definitely can't be a mere Ravencroft student. It has to be someone older or perhaps a group or gang. This is too frequent and too widespread, not to mention it's occurring in the shadier parts here." "I hope you know what you're doing, old friend because this case is extremely serious." "Of course I do, Jason, I've worked with you for years." Outside of the Mayor's office, the Chief of Police and ex-police officer Kenneth were discussing the events of Rockport. Both of them had very serious expressions on their face and seemed to be highly focused on trying to figure out the mystery behind all of this nonsense. The Chief was dressed in highly formal attire. Before this, he had been discussing plans with the Mayor on the situation. The countenance on his face could not unfrown itself as he glanced into the eyes of his longtime partner Kenneth. Christopher Kenneth was always reliable and tough and was one of the best officers if not the best within his police force. To see even Kenneth worried and stumped like this was highly concerned and ringing alarm bells in his head. "Chris, my sister has been very nervous about this whole thing as of late. She's been all shaken up and now hates staying late at the school library. I'm doing everything I can to keep her safe, but I'm also stuck trying to settle this mess along with the usual crap that comes into our department. Please keep her safe, and do whatever you must in order to find this culprit and bring him into justice." "You got it, Chief. Actually, I forgot to ask. How did the meeting with the Mayor go?" "Do you even need to ask? He's fuming that this is happening within his city, and he wants to put an end to it NOW. He was speaking calmly as usual, but I can tell from his movements that he's not exactly thrilled to know that we don't have anything on this murderer yet. Now I gotta run, some more stuff's come up at the station. Want me to drive you there?" "No thanks. I have some business to attend to relating to this case. I'm determined to see if I can find any matching details about these murders." "Very well then Officer Kenneth, contact me if you find anything." The two men separated as the Chief of Police hastily left Town Hall. He would walk outside past the two boys. His eyes would give them a quick glance and stare thanks to the fact they were in pretty odd attire, but then he simply shook his head and continued on his way. Kids would be kids. From the money in their hands, it was safe to assume they were just preparing to go on the tour around City Hall. He wondered why kids would be interested in such a thing, but the explanation in his head figured that they might have been into politics or apart of Student Council or something. Either way, he was confident that if they tried anything funny, then the guards assigned to hang around Town Hall would most certainly catch them and stop them in their tracks. The RPD was far from incompetent, and they would be ready to handle any situation should it occur. Meanwhile, the next tour had yet to start, but it was getting close as people were bringing in their money to pay the fee for the trip. If anyone was planning to attend the tour, they would have to do so soon. |

There was something nagging at the back of his head. While he wasn't really alerted at the point, he seemed to see someone pass by them at the entrance. While he didn't the exact staff of the police force, seeing as it consisted of several people, hard even for the blond's brain to memorize, he was almost sure that that person worked in the Rockport station. What was he doing here? Was it..... No, he shouldn't be thinking about this right now. He wasn't here any long and Alex should focus on the mission at hand. Inspecting the guards through the corner, he tried to at least evaluate the clothing and their tools. Normal blue outfits, a bat, cuffs.... hmmm.... these looked like your average every police guards..... Maybe it was because this was the Town Hall and all. As he thought of this, the tour guide suddenly showed and started calling out the people who had the ticket. It's time..... Alex thought, as he got off the wall and put his hands on his pockets. Looking around, none of the tourists looked all that suspicious. If he knew it was going to be this normal, he'd probably just have told Aaron to pack some normal clothes. Now they were basically making fools out of themselves. Yes, they were tall, but that didn't give them that much credibility. Sometimes he asked his own brain how he came up with these weird stuff. As soon as he started questioning, a dark image entered his mind. The image of a blonde girl, dressed like a princess, crying in front of him. Tightening his fists within his pockets, he looked forward seriously. "Operation Stealth In, commence." |

Aaron took a quick glance to the guards stationed around the building. None of them looked like slackers, though some of them seemed a bit bored. Aaron thought, that if they would have out run them, he might have to knock 2 or 3 of them down. Which wouldn't be easy. The way they held them selves, indicated that they would know how to manage. Aaron looked at Alex. His disguise seemed somewhat believable. The suit made him look 7 years older, so he wouldn't draw too much attention. Aaron himself, however... He stood out. Alot. Even Rockport, that was filled with diversity, Shaolin-monks were highly uncommon. Aaron noticed how couple of children were looking at him eye's wide. Aaron understood, that it would be impossible for him to do anything discreet. Every move he would make would be noticed. In that moment, Aaron realised, it could be used to advantage. He leaned near to Alex, who said: "Operation Stealth In, commence." "Secondary plan. If you see what we look for, give me a sign. I'll take care of the rest." Aaron said quietly, showing his very rare smile filled with confidence. Then he took few steps away from Alex, and joined the people waitg for the tour to begin. |

Most of the tourists were dressed like normal people as the duo would observe the crowd. Many stares and giggles were directed towards the so-called Shaolin Monk as they would stand out among the people. However, they were not the only oddities on this tour. Suddenly an unknown person in a trenchcoat walked into city hall. The guards gave the visitor a suspicious glance as the person walked in, but they noticed how casually the person was behaving plus how he calmly pulled out his wallet to pay for the tour and decided not to further question it. Nothing the young man said rung any alarms, but it seemed like with that trenchcoat and hat the male most certainly did not want his face to be revealed to the crowd. The face was clearly normal from the bits of skin one could see under the articles of clothing, but it was still hard to tell nonethenless. This person would join the ranks of the duo as the tour guide, a perky brunette with her hair pulled up in a tight ponytail and her outfit being a suit completed with a skirt and jacket, began to speak. "Welcome to Rockport City Hall! I am your tour guide, Maybelle Rosato, and I will be showing you all around this building. Before anyone asks, no, we will not talk to the Mayor. He is incredibly busy, especially with recent events. Now if everyone's settled, remember to stay close to the group and have your pass on you at all times in case a guard decides to question you." Alexander and Aaron each received these colored passes which allowed them access to Town Hall and its facilities for the rest of today. The passes could be worn easily around their necks for security and comfort. The man in the trenchcoat was already wearing his as he placed it on around his neck after receiving it and then proceeded to cross his arms. A few giggles could still be heard which were directed towards the "Shaolin Monk". The male did not laugh and did not bother looking at any of his other fellow tourists for more than a second, seemingly focused on just moving along with the tour. With a smile on her face, the tour guide then turned and proceeded to walk ahead past the front desk to lead her group of people in. "Alright, now let us move along beyond this front desk. Please note the location of the facilities highlighted by the signs. The bathrooms are up ahead towards the right. First we will take a glance at the office facilities that are down here in this particular section." It was time for the operation to move forward. The duo seemed to know what their mission was and its importance, but now it was time to execute it. However, would they have to deviate from their original plans? Would something odd occur that would cause them to go off track? It was time to move forward and act. |

As the boy nodded to his junior, he saw that Aaron was really using his brains regarding this disguise matter. As soon as they hit the desired point, Alex would just make a signal to Aaron and then the boy would do something so that the blond could sneak away and meet up with him later on. As he listened to the lady that had come to them and put on his pass, his eyes were inspecting the other man. He was.... suspicious, to say the least. Alex didn't usually trust shady individuals who wore trench coats in a end-of-summer day like this. He was too suspicious, in fact, for people to ever doubt him, which made the young boy uneasy, his heart beating at an irregular pace. Is he a real criminal? ..... Damn it.... We can't afford to have someone else make our hands look even dirtier than they'll already seem. Since we're not stealing anything, we technically wouldn't be as deep as if this guy stole something and then got us blamed for it.... As doubt started creeping up his spine, the boy shook his head, shrugging it off. He needed to focus. In the least, he could probably overturn the whole situation by putting the whole blame on this guy. That way he and Aaron would go unpunished in the end. If he was indeed a person who'd ransack the archives, they could get away from enforcement if they caught him and left him in the way, so that he'd draw attention. Looking at his red pass, he looked forward to read the signs pointed by the lady. Now it was really beginning. He just needed to make sure to be able to see what he needed. Walking beside the tour guide, Alexander looked at her with very interested eyes. Boy, was he glad he was the height as her and he was disguised as someone older. "So, exactly what kinds of offices does this building possess?" he asked, his gentle smile on his face, as he continued walking and discreetly looking around. |

As Aaron put his his visitors pass around his neck, he noticed the man with trench coat. Even if Aaron was sticking out, this guy was downright suspicious. Aaron tried to see his face, but his hat and coat's collar prevented him to do so. Either this guy had not heard that it was bad manners to wear hat inside, or he didn't want anyone to see his face. Though he was suspicious, he didn't seem like he was going to do something radical. His movements were calm and relaxed. Still, Aaron decided to keep an eye on him, just in case. From the corner of his eye, Aaron noticed that Alex too had noticed the coat-man. The way he looked at the man, worried Aaron. Hopefully, Alex wouldn't do something stupid. When tour started, Aaron tried to memorize every exit and window, as Alex had instructed. He tried to look insuspicious while doing it. He didn't listen that much to the the tour guide, only bits and pieces. Alex seemed to be in his element, when he started asking questions from the lady. He seemed to know what he was doing. Sometimes. Edited by Froststep, Jul 23 2013, 05:16 PM.

Due to the oddity of the two students alongside the trenchcoat man, they didn't seem to be related to one another, or perhaps they were in fact apart of the same boat. Not much could be said, but basically the male said nothing as he continued on his way with the tour people. The tour guide smiled hearing Alex propose a question and then she proceeded to respond by telling him all about the different political offices and the department representatives. There was the City Clerk, the Mayor, Recreation, and several more positions and departments within City Hall. So then they reached a fork in the road where the tour guide realized that they were about to hit the hallway with the head department offices. On the left were the departments and the archives while on the right was the Mayor's office and meeting rooms. "Okay, now we're going to turn left up here and check out the departments which I just mentioned to this gentleman that asked." As Ms. Rosato was directing the group to the left, the trenchcoat man suddenly went speeding off to the right direction as the guide was distracted. No one in the group seemed to notice, but if the two disguised students were watching, they would notice how he slipped away from the crowd to head to the Mayor's office. What would they do? Would they report the man? Would they chase after him? Would they simply let him go and do whatever he was thinking of doing? What was that guy's agenda anyway? It was now up to them to decide quickly their plan of action. |

As Alex listened carefully to the woman's explanations, he kept eye contact with her, as to try and create some sort of opening. It had been proven several times that causing empathy with tour guides made the trip all the more enjoyable, plus there was the even the slight possibility of a little extra being shown in the end.... as long as the "extra" didn't include a trip to the archives while Alex and Aaron were still inside. So, the departments in the area we're going to visit were like that, huh? The archives are smack dab in the middle of the bureau, that's going to be a little bad for an effort. But I know we'll make it somehow. After all, Aaron's with me. he thought, as they reached the split and the woman explained what they were going to do. "So, Miss... Rosato? How long have you been in this position? It would seem like you've been doing this for a very long time. I can tell, I've visited many other places with tour guides far worse. You're very good. A tour guide is akin to a leader of sorts. As long as the pack sticks together and sticks to you, the better...." he told, bringing out the british gentleman in his blood, his eyes showing the glint of interest, attention and raw charm a woman would only dream of through the lenses of the normal glasses he was wearing. Through the corner of his eye, though, he could see Aaron and the man in trench- Wait, where was he? Suddenly turning his head to the group, Alex simply smiled. "Isn't that right?" he asked, almost absent-minded, but still to the tour guide. |

As Alex was trying to charm the tourguide with his silver tongue, Aaron noticed that trenchcoat man tried to slip away from the tour. It was somewhat incredible, that he managed to do that without anyone noticing. Where as the tour was heading left, the coat man was heading right, and he tried to do it as quickly as he could, avoiding attention. Aaron wondered what the man was up to. Where he was going? What was he planning? What ever it was, he didn't want attention. Aaron thought about following him, but that would leave Alex alone with the mission, and Aaron was sure it would make things more difficult. Besides, it wasn't like Aaron would be able to slip away. He was the most odd looking visitor, and if he were to try leaving, he'd spotted immediately. Sudden idea struck him, as he the words "spotted immediately" passed through his brain. He hurried after the man, and once he caught up with him, he placed his hand on his shoulder to stop him and said: "Excuse me sir, but tour is going this way." His voice was calm but audible enough that tour guide would surely hear it. Man could try to run away again, but his discretion was now completely gone. Edited by Froststep, Jul 30 2013, 02:34 PM.

Aaron's attempts at alerting the tour guide was successful. Despite being distracted by the flattery of Alexander, her ears perked up as she heard one of the visitors ask another where they were going. She glanced over to see that the trenchcoat man was about to go the wrong way. The look she gave him was inquisitive, as were the curious glances by the rest of the tour group. Suddenly put right on the spot, the trenchcoat man was forced to explain himself. He coughed a bit before proceeding to answer with his own possible excuse. "My bad, I was going to head to the bathroom." "It's back towards the front lobby which we started the tour in. That other hall is where the Mayor's office and the meeting rooms are. Right now he doesn't want to have any visitors since he's quite busy with all the madness going on recently." Undoubtedly it was about the murders that were going on around the city. It appeared that Ms. Rosato really didn't want to discuss the issue any further. It was a gruesome event, and she didn't want to achknowledge it in what was supposed to be a light-hearted tour. She turned and flashed a smile at Alex before proceeding to lead the group further down the hall. Everyone's attention diverted away from the trenchcoat male as comments in the form of whispers were made about him, but nothing huge. That was when the guy appeared to walk towards the direction of the bathrooms. However, as the group continued, if anyone looked back in time, they would see him glance over at the guide before quickly turning from the direction he was going and running down the hall he was trying to sneak into before. This time he moved even faster so that he would hopefully not be caught. What would they do about that guy? What was he planning? Should they continue on, or should they continue to pursue him? It was ultimately their choice, and their choice would matter. "To answer your question, I'm actually fairly new at this position. I've just read up a lot about the different offices and made sure to be educated enough so that I could provide visitors with the right information and to also do it in a nice way. I really appreciate your compliments, but I'm really just rather average." A light blush appeared on her cheek as she clearly displayed her appreciation towards the flattery and compliments as she spoke in her normal, professional yet cheery tone. They were getting closer to where the archives were and would soon pass them. It appeared that the door was closed but not locked. There didn't seem to be anyone there or coming from there at the moment. |

Well, that had done it. Smiling towards the guide, he did somewhat of a surprised expression. "Do tell. You look like such a professional. I guess it's true what they say. Some people are just born with the right genes. And the right fate to be born into a family which supplies you with all the education needed to do this kind of thing. I'd reckon I wouldn't really be good at it." he said, as he turned around to keep walking besides the girl. Pushing the glasses up the bridge of his nose, a small grin flashed in his face. "I am not the type to show off information in an orderly manner such as the one you think you're so inexperienced at. Believe it or not, it incurs a great deal of courage and self-appreciation, not to mention politeness and self-control are needed in order to properly behave in front of complete strangers, over and over." As he explained, he continued smiling at her and using the soft, kind voice he had only used with special certain someones up until then. As he checked up on Aaron and winked to give him a heads up due to the incoming archive room, he noticed something that seriously ticked him off. But, ironically, it also started a sort of contraption within his mind. He quickly devised a great plan as the thing he was looking towards kept moving farther and farther away. Moving his face closer, Alex went past her face and placed his mouth next to her ear. "And I'm truly sorry to bother you again, Miss Rosato, but it seems the gentleman in the back doesn't intend to relieve himself of natural necessities. I won't tell you how to do your job, but it would be wise to do something about it." he said, as a friend would advise another on an important life choice, with his friendly, calm and kind face. He looked back at the scene where the man in the trench coat was running and nodded to Aaron, though discreetly, disguising the gesture by adjusting his glasses. This was the moment of truth. The reason why Aaron had dressed as a Shaolin monk for. If the guy did the wrong move, then it'd be their win and nothing would go wrong, unless something really wrong was waiting for them at the archives. |

The tour guide turned red as she was ultimately flattered by all the words he was saying. He was being such a kind gentleman, though that voice made it sound like he was flirting. This part amused her and though she wasn't at all interested in that kind of thing she was very touched by the gesture of which he chose to present himself in. Taking the compliments with stride, there was then a sudden jarring realization as she heard that same voice speak to her once more. The trenchcoat male was at it again, and this time she made sure to look up to see what he was doing. This time he was sprinting down the hallway. Immediately she screamed out for the guards to hear. "HEY, YOU GET BACK HERE SIR! GUARDS, STOP HIM!" The guards were immediately alerted by the screams and emerged from the left hallway and went charging down there. Meanwhile down the right hallway, there were another two guards posted nearby the actual Mayor's Office past all the paintings and meeting rooms before it. They heard a disturbance down the hall as they quickly turned and pulled out their guns, carefully going in to confront the situation. Either way, it seemed like the guy was downright screwed. Seeing the situation, he quickly tried running further down the hall to escape the incoming guards. The group was in a slight panic as they were rapidly talking about the man and questioning his motivations. What in the world was he doing in a restricted area? Thus far, no one could see the two guards that were way down the right hallway, not even the two students. The mysterious male was too busy desperately trying to get away while his hat began to slip off a bit. It seemed like whatever he was doing, he was desperate to get it done quickly then bolt right out of there. |

As Aaron returned among the group, he saw Alex chatting with the tourguide, Rosato. He didn't hear what Alex was talking, but it seemed to have positive effect on her. Alex gave him a little wink. The archives must have been close. Suddenly, Alex's expression darkened for a second, and when Aaron looked back, he understanded why. Trenchcoat man was at it again. Why was he so persistent for going to that direction? What was in there again? Mayors office? Why would he... Aaron squinted his eyes slightly. Could he be doing, what Aaron feared he could be doing? If so, he must be stopped. "HEY, YOU GET BACK HERE SIR! GUARDS, STOP HIM!" Tourguide yelled. Apparently, Alex had thought what he was thinking. Guards approached from the left hallway, alerted by Rosato's shout. Trenchcoat man showed no intention of stopping, and he kept speeding along the hallway. Aaron dashed after him. He was sure guards could have handled the man, but he didn't leave it up to chance. When Aaron was close enough, he lowered his stance and started sliding legs first towards the trenchcoat man. Instead of straight kick, he uses his right leg to perform horizontal sweep. If it would hit, trenchcoat man would fall backwards, on Aaron. Aaron would use the momentum of the sweep to spin him self, and capture the falling man with his legs. Using his left leg to lock man's left arm, right leg locking his head, and the arms to lock man's left hand, rendering him immobile. Edited by Froststep, Aug 3 2013, 01:50 PM.

The sound of a whistle ringed in Alex's mind as he saw his friend's way of fighting. Now that's what I call shaolin fighting. Is it all skill or did he just play too much Mortal Kombat? Oh well, now's not really the time for all this. he thought, as he realized his chance. The attention the guide and the group were giving to the man, even with Aaron participating, was tremendous. Add a shaolin monk helping with the arrest made it all the more amazing and attention-grabbing. As soon as he saw an opening, he slowly made steps backwards, soundlessly making his way through the hallway. Finally out of the guide's perception reach, he turned and walked carefully, entering the door with the plate saying "City Hall Archives". It wasn't at all locked, to his surprise, and he closed it behind himself. Looking around within the room, he tried to make sure no one was there. "Nice...." he whispered. Nobody within his range was there. Now, where should he start looking? That place was big! He started wondering if he could get the guys who made this place to help him remodel his dorm room? |

Apparently the trenchcoat guy was not well trained in Shaolin fighting. The monk successfully pinned the guy down the moment he slowed down to see two guards in the other direction coming for him. He was going to try and make a sharp turn in an attempt to lose the guards, but instead he was surprised by an attack from the rear which forcefully pinned him down to the ground. The crowd watched in amazement. No one really questioned the tourist's actions mostly because he appeared to be a Shaolin monk. It would only make sense that such a monk would know how to perform the very fighting style he is a monk of. It was very useful for apprehending the suspect, and it allowed for the officers to quickly surround the two fellows with guns. Not sure what exactly was going on, they pointed guns at both the monk and the stranger until the guide spoke in favor of the monk. "Thank you very much sir for stopping this trenchcoat-wearing male in his tracks. I don't know what he was up to, but he was clearly not here for the tour." "Don't worry ma'am, we'll take care of everything else. Now sir, let him go." The officers were prepared to take the man away into the security room in Town Hall for questioning. He was going to have to talk to them about his entire purpose for entering a restricted area in the first place. In the scuffle, the hat on the person's head fell off to reveal rough, spiky brown hair and a young face. The guy was actually surprisingly younger than he looked before. He had to be like within his late teens or so. He couldn't have been too much older than the monk or professor. Once the monk separated from the guy, the trenchcoat male was grabbed by the officers and nearly dragged away to a different location. Meanwhile the group behaved excitedly as the guide stood next to the officers and the monk and gave the monk a nod of approval. Thus far, no one noticed that one of their members had vanished. "And you're here because?" Just as Alexander thought he was alone, standing right there with a file in his hand to the right side of the room was none other than Officer Kenneth. The officer glared at him with suspicion. He knew very well the town archives were accessible by citizens at certain times, but right now there were tour groups going through here, and this young man was alone. To make matters even more suspicious, the male walked in in such a way where it appeared like he was sneaking like as if he shouldn't be here. Kenneth's gun was not out, but it was sitting menacingly on his hip in the typical holster. It would take zero effort for the man to put down the file and pull out his gun. To make the potentially required task faster, he slowly walked to the table in the center of the room while still glaring at the visitor. The file was lightly tossed next to a bunch of other files and papers along with a walkie-talkie standing upright on the table. "Something tells me you're up to something, and I'm not foolish enough to not question your appearance. I want you to sit down and explain to me why you decided to sneak away from your group." His voice was stern but not hostile. He clearly wasn't enraged, but he was taking this matter rather seriously. He would not tolerate any funny business while he was investigating this case. |
