The wolf sits alone; Luca and Cathy

This guy let himself be influenced by his little sister so much? Well, Cathy didn´t have siblings but for some reason she had to smile at that. Tough guy, but kind to his sister.

"Well, I can bring some on another day. Living alone has its benefits. Unless ya don´t appreciate a good wine?" her tone was a little teasing. If he were to make comments about her age and drinking, well, she wouldn´t be surprised. It wasn´t unusual in this stingy, boring society to look down on that or raise eyebrows. Cathy was curious what he´d say. Stickler for rules?

When he opened his notebook, she leaned forward and looked over his shoulder. It took her a moment to realize these drawings were his, and she wondered why someone would choose such a hobby. But... she had to say it was pretty stuff. She liked the tribals.

For a while Cathy was quiet. Something pricked at her mind, but she tried to shove it away. Drawing was a useless hobby, as anything else. The girl shifted and looked away, suddenly uncomfortable.

"Surreal shit? Maybe something dirty and fucked up, not so pretty stuff?", she murmured. If the question had been directed at her, she was at a loss. Man, she got the impression this Luca was in fact much less wild than he looked. She felt out of place.

"What´re the tribals for?"

"I'm half Italian. I'm pretty sure I have wine in my blood. Just make sure you don't get caught sneaking alcohol on campus. Hate to see a ragazza like you get thrown in detention."

Luca glanced up at Cathy for a moment, having picked up what she had murmured. Surreal, huh? Hm...he hadn't done anything like that in a while. Might be fun to draw something a bit more interesting.

"Well...get rid of the 'not pretty' part, and I might be able to get something interesting out of it. Willing to model for me, Cathy? We can find someone for you to beat the crap out of, I can sketch how you end up in the end. Could be interesting..."

He wasn't surprised she asked about the tribals, chuckling slightly.

"You know the tattoo parlor in town, Rock Solid Ink? I work there as a tattoo artist. I draw for practice and for ideas. Some of these are tattoos customers wanted. I have a few tattoos myself, and I've been thinking of getting some more."

Rolling up the sleeve on his right arm, he held up his arm for her to take a look. Barely visible around his wrist in a curling, white script, were the words "I AM MY OWN DEMON".

"Got that when I was...seventeen, I think. I've got two others hidden by my shirt."

Cathy laughed at Luca implying she might get caught and shook her head. How cute. She had done that before. But it would certainly be more fun to prove him she could do it.

"We can find someone for you to beat the crap out of, I can sketch how you end up in the end."

"What´s that supposed to mean? I don´t go around beating people up. Ya really think I could do any serious harm to anyone?" Huffing slightly, she lightly kicked his shoulder from her seat. She wasn´t physically strong, that much was obvious. And she hated getting her hands dirty, and she hated possibly hurting herself.
"Hell, if ya want I can do some routines and you see if you can jot it down."

Curiously she leaned over him more and craned her head to read the message. The girl raised her eyebrows and spurted out: "Is that kinda deep or something? Because I don´t get it." Tattoos, huh? Interesting. They were nice looking, she had to hand him that, but she liked visual things better than text. And such cryptic nonsense too. She shrugged and hopped down from the shack again to bend down in a low stretch.

"Well, you've got a strong slapping-hand, that's for sure."

Routines? Well, judging from the stretching she was doing earlier, she was definitely flexible. A gymnast, maybe?

"Sounds like a good idea. As for my tattoo...well, let's just say I got it as a reminder of something I did once. I have two others- one over my heart, and one on my shoulder. I'd show you, but you might hit me again."

Chuckling slightly, he observed her as she started stretching again. Huh...she really was bendy.

"So you're not a brawler, though you seem to act like one at times. You're a gymnast, then?"

Cathy drily laughed again.

"I get around, gotta know how to put others in their place." Pure violence was no option for her build, thats why she had to rely on other tricks to get out of bad situations. And she did. "You have any idea how strong human teeth are? Very efficient. And people never expect it."

True to her words, the girl went on to do her acrobatics. She started out with a slow, backwards handstand to get into the flow, then got back on her feet just to do a quick flic-flac. Her whole body was full of tension, her movements suddenly sharp and precise, but also simple and to the point like the crack of a whip. Cathy was not a fan of the overly showy and, to her eyes, stilted gestures other gymnasts did when they performed a show. She preferred to concentrate on the excercises for the current routine she was doing in her class.
From her landing the girl sprung into two, three quick sprinting steps, kicked off the ground and in quick succession did a cartwheel, a flicflac and a flip, her hair creating a blur of fire around her face. She finished in a straight pose.

"That answer your question?"
Cathy´s tone was mocking, but her face glowed with pride and enjoyment. Then she lightly grimaced and rubbed her ankles, relaxing her posture again.
"Works better without shoes..."

Luca couldn't help but laugh when Cathy mentioned using teeth as a weapon. Oh, if only she knew...

"Oh, no doubt that teeth are a good weapon. I've bitten and been bitten, so I know how it can hurt."

Letting his laughter dim, the blond observed as Cathy put herself through her paces. She was good, definitely had a lot of experience. Her movements were sharp as glass and faster than he expected. Most gymnasts were usually overly flamboyant about their skills, showing off with overly dramatic gestures and gigantic smiles. Once she finished and seemed to almost mock him, he shook his head before clapping slowly.

"Impressive. You're definitely everything you claim to be."

He chuckled slightly once she rubbed her ankles.

"Save the flips and tricks for the mats. Doing it on the roof is a bit risky, ragazza."

Prideful, the girl threw her hair over her shoulder.

"No Risk, no fun. And should I fall, I´d land on my feet anyway."

In that moment, their small encounter was interrupted by the dreaded school bell. Cathys face strained and she groaned a little. Of course reality always came to bite her in the ass. Next up was a class she hated, but had to attend at all costs. An ugly scowl spread on her features and she mumbled some curses.

"...Fucking math. Gotta go", the girl growled towards her new acquaintance and walked over to the door leading down into hell. At the frame, she stopped and, in an afterthought turned around once more.

"You´re not bad." Her face was straight and she looked directly into Luca´s eyes. A moment passed and then she smiled and went down the stairs after all.

Luca chuckled slightly.

"A fiery cat, huh? Not bad."

As the bell rang, he grumbled. He'd either go to his next class- history, or stay up here. Hm...what was his grade in history again? A B minus? C plus? He glanced over at her as she growled about her next class. Math did suck, on that he agreed. He smirked, making himself comfortable on the roof once more. Finally, peace and quiet!

When she spoke again, she didn't hesitate to look the blond in the eyes. She was...an interesting one.

"Not so bad yourself, ardenete gatto. Stay out of trouble."

He smirked once more and pulled another cigarette from the pack. He'd stay for one more cigarette, and then he'd head out. Besides...now he might be able to sketch something.
