As was pretty common for Andy at lunch time he was without his sister, as this was one of the few chances she got to spend time with her friends and not baby sit her brother but that’s a side story so back to Andy. Clutching the brown paper bag that contained his mother given rations Andy was wondering around the campus of the high school trying to decide upon a place he could eat, which for him was a little difficult on account of the fact he didn’t do so well in loud locations, hence why the main cafeteria was a no go. Anyway, walking around on the grassy areas of the school he found a nice little shaded spot underneath a tree and sat his royal ass down reaching into the brown paper bag, removing and un-wrapping the sandwich inside then taking a bite out of it. Somebody else who saw Andy eating by himself might assume he didn’t have any friends, which was true, but despite that he didn’t feel lonely or anything; after all his sister was more than enough to satisfy the inborn desire for socialising everybody seemed to have. |

Alicia walked through the crowded cafeteria. There were far too many people around for her tastes. She could just feel the eyes of people staring as she walked by. Stares with such an intensity it almost burned. She could feel the heat rising up in her ears. She was still not used to the attention. She carried her bag with her outside, hoping to find some solace. Her mind was rapid, and her heart was uneasy. She didn't feel safe anymore, especially with all that has happened. She twirled the ponytail that rested over her left shoulder, unknowingly staring at someone. She felt somewhat guilty for a moment, even though he seemed to have not noticed. She wasn't sure why, but she felt the compulsion to join the boy she did not know. She walked slowly and silently in an attempt to make it not seem deliberate. She hadn't seen this boy around before, and she hoped that he hadn't caught onto the rumors as others had. And if he did, well that would just be her luck. |

At the start of this period of time Andy had to himself to eat his lunch it actually seemed like he would be spending it by himself, which was fine really as he really did struggle being social with other people; one reason for his difficulty in making friends was because he was very sensitive so when people poked fun at him he tended to lose his cool easily, however despite this he actually justified it by saying "you don't make fun out of people if you want to be there friend" and in his mind that was a good enough reason as any. Anyway, back to the matter at hand; as Andy had been sitting there legs crossed taking bites from his sandwich he had noticed a girl sit down nearby joining him which really didn't bother him that much on account of two things. One, he had no idea who on Earth this girl was as he hadn't really seen her around which was due to the fact he didn't pay much attention to strangers and two, like I've said numerous times before in this post Andy is not exactly mister people person and given his own personal experiences with his class mates was a little afraid of her, or perhaps just cautious would be a better word for it? Back down to Earth though, Andy kind of wanted to just leave after finishing his lunch and walk away but he knew from experience if he rushed his lunch he'd probably end up throwing it back up so until then he would be eating at a normal pace which meant if this girl wanted to talk to him she would have a chance. And no, Andy wouldn't be starting up a conversation as he was kind of shy and distrusting of strangers, which may be a little contradictory given his hyperactive personality but, this hyper activity only comes out when he is a good mood which hopefully may be today and yes, by this I mean today might be a day where Andy makes a new friend which would be a good thing for everybody; after all as childish as he may be Andy sticks by his friends through thick and thin, fire and brimstone. |

Alicia sat at the table quietly. Her eyes stayed fixed in front of her. She was afraid to move, afraid to speak, afraid to do anything that drew attention to herself. But she knew that it was far too late for the latter. She felt somewhat ashamed for not asking to sit there. in fact it did not even cross her mind at first. She took a moment, to take a deep breath and find some courage, to at least say something out of courtesy. "Oh, I hope I wasn't intruding... I didn't realize," her voice was at a volume that one would have expected to come from a mouse. A little voice that only seemed to shrink as it blended itself into the deafening silence. She gave the boy a weak smile, heat rising in her face and ears. She was flustered with embarrassment. She paused for a moment, not saying anything at all. Half tempted to just drop it and not say a single word again, but she continued. "I'm Alicia." she said, in a voice that was much more audible. She still sat there with her heart in her mouth, but she felt slightly more content as the feeling of guilt began to wane. |

The first few moments of silence at the table after Alicia sat down were of silence, rather awkward silence at that as to Andy it seemed that Alicia just sitting down without asking was rather rude and if anything only made Andy even less likely to talk with her, not that he wanted to in the first place. As the golden eyed boy took another bite of his rather lovely sandwich and chewed it seemed that this girl, whoever she was, finally decided to speak up and at first Andy thought he wouldn’t even be able to hear her given how quiet her voice was but, luckily Andy had rather good hearing and was able to actually pick up what she said. Despite the fact Alicia said she hoped that she wasn’t intruding he was, but to be honest it really did not bother Andy that much as his solution would be to just finish his food quickly and leave before anything bad happened; however until then he’d be polite and at least answer her. “Um… it is fine” for now that was all Andy wanted to say and with good reason, after all he didn’t know her and to be honest didn’t really want to currently on account of his poor social skills but that didn’t stop this rather quiet girl from sharing her name and well, to not sound rude Andy would share his own. “Umm..I’m Andy!” he spoke up rather energetically as his natural hyperactivity, on account of his ADHD, started to seep into his accounts of body language causing him to suddenly and strangely gain a large boost of energy also speaking a bit more loudly than he had done so at first. One final note, despite how panicked and afraid Alicia was Andy had not picked up on it at all, if anything all her quiet volume of voice meant to Andy was that she was rather shy like he himself could be at times. |

At first Alicia felt even more awkward, even though he said it was alright. The shortness of his sentence led her to think he was either irritated or apathetic. "Maybe this wasn't a good idea," she thought to herself, hoping she hadn't worsened the situation further. But then, something seemed to happen. There was a change in his tone, but more than even that. She almost felt like his entire personality had changed, although that wasn't the case. It seems that she had come across a rather energetic individual. It was actually a little relieving, perhaps contagiously so, because a slight, sheepish grin had formed on her face. She felt a little more at ease, and her voice showed as she continued, "So are you new here, Andy?" She kept the smile for a short while, it faded a little as an eyebrow raised in curiosity had taken it's place. She was hoping that his mood will remain as is, because if he got energetic that quick, who knows how hard it is to make him angry. |

At first, and no Andy was not any kind of mind reader, he noticed that after his rather short and abrupt sentence thus girl whoever she was, was acting really shy and uncomfortable which had actually been noticeable since she first sat down. Luckily however, Andy's own hyper outburst had managed to help Alicia settle down a little, or more than a little given the fact a sheepish grin had appeared on this girls face. All of this that had happened was one of the few benefits to being hyperactive; it tended to be contagious and as Andy himself was a source of hyperness other people around him, at least those that he stayed to talk with, always tended to end up in better moods for speaking to Andy and just generally spending time with him. Anyway, with that all out of the way Andy again returned his attention to Alicia as it had kind of drifted away hence why he was staring at a clump of flowers, or at least had been doing so for a couple of minutes. Still, he know had a question to answer and it was actually kind of an odd question but an understandable one, after all Andy was one of those students who once lessons had ended pretty much just vanished for his entire break until the next class started up. "No, I'm not a new student I'm a second year in class 2-B" he wondered if that was the same class Alicia was in, if so then maybe he'd have found a new friend tr hang out with apart from his sister. |

(I'm sorry for the late post. I've been having some really bad days recently :/) Alica was noticed that the boy's attention had drifted elsewhere. There were flowers in the distance that caught her eye. There was beauty to be found in the flowers. She knew that this beauty, like all things beautiful, would only be temporary. Once winter sets in, the flowers will wither and dry out. She wished for a moment that the fall scenery could remain, but she knew that wasn't possible. Things change, and in her case it was more often than not for the better. but her thoughts were broken by a reply to her question. He in fact wasn't new here, but on his second year here. "Oh, I'm a sophomore here as well, but in 2-A though," she said in a more relaxed tone this time. " This is my first year here. I came from a city to the north of here." She finally took her food out of her bag. Inside was a box with a colorful leafy salad she had made herself and a water bottle. She took a small sip of the water before opening the container. She gently pierced a bright red tomato slice, cutting it in half before eating it. She was afraid to look ungraceful around the bo and tried her best to keep her poise, even if her nervousness will probably do well to mess her up as much as possible. |

Call Andy whatever you will but he had noticed that his company's gaze had drifted away, which was easy to recognise as he did it all the time, and while he was probably being nosey with this but he could not help but also take a look at whatever had caught Alicia's attention on account of the fact it may have been something interesting but sadly it was not as Alicia was just looking at the plants. Sure they where pretty flowers but Andy really did not see what the big deal was, winter would be coming sooner or later and then those plants would die out which to Andy meant they really where not that big of a deal but whatever, to each there own after all. However, once Alicia was finished observing the flowers while thinking about Persona only knows what, she took the time to respond to Andy mentioning what class he was in and he had to say he was actually a little disappointed as evidenced by his face seeming to just droop and lose a bit of the energy that was in it; the reason for this you ask? Well, normally Andy and other students didn't get along so well but based upon how Maia had acted Andy had to admit that he liked her, as a friend anyway hence why he was so disappointed to hear that she was in a different class. "Well, I'm from this city but I guess you can say I was convinced in the united kingdom? Suppose that makes me British" Andy was not really sure what else to say and while that may have seemed a little self centered but, given the fact Maia had mentioned that she came from a city to the north Andy really did not know how else to respond, hence why he had gone with what he thought was best and so hopefully, it wouldn't end up blowing up in his face and getting him in trouble like rather a lot of things had done in the past. |

Alicia took a bit out of her salad. nodding when the boy said that he was British due to where he was conceived. It was an... interesting to share at best. Alicia had no clue as to where she was conceived, and had never given it much thought. But she decided to use it as a pivot of conversation. "So you're parents are from the United Kingdom, I take it?" she said, wondering if it was actually where they lived, or a during a vacation in a hotel room that they had stayed. Either way, she used the question to say a little about herself in tern, so she didn't feel like she was just prodding him for information. "My mother is from Ireland, actually." She said with a little more disdain than she had initially intended. If anything she viewed her nanny as more of a mother. At least that woman was there for her in her times of need as a child terrified of the visions in her head. But she kept her thoughts from drawing inward furthermore. She didn't want the boy to feel ignored. She took a moment to study the boy. For the most part she has abstained from too much eye contact, until now. She kept herself from making it awkward, just quick observations when he answered her question. The two features to stand out the most was his hair which was incredibly curly, more so than her hair which was really nothing more than wavy. His eyes were a bright gold color, almost in a way that she questioned if the color was due to contacts. But it lacked the quality of color contacts, since there was no ring surrounding her iris. But before she observed further, she turned away a little bit, for fear of making it awkward. |

The only real response to Maia’s statement of facts was to just nod his head slightly; after all it wasn’t like the card playing kid knew what else to say in response to that as he wasn’t exactly that big of a talker but, that was the moment an idea popped into his head and while it may have been actually kind of selfish to mention this Andy felt the right thing to do would be to correct Maia as she said parents, Andy only had one. “Um..I only have one parent” hopefully Maia wouldn’t pity him or anything, after all it wasn’t like Andy missed his father or anything on account of the fact that lately him and his dad hadn’t really got along that well; I’ll simply say Andy’s father doesn’t approve of Andy’s interests or the way he behave and forcibly tries to change him which the golden eyed boy rejects instantly hence the fissure between the two of them. Having said what he was going to say Andy went silent again and listened to Maia as she mentioned her mother with an aftertaste that Andy actually recognised, it was the after taste of disdain and if you’re wondering how Andy was able to tell it was because Maia’s voice took on a similar tone of voice that Andy’s took on when he spoke of his father. Moving on though, Andy wasn’t really sure what else to talk about and while his rather attentive eyes, at least when he wanted to concentrate, had noticed Maia taking brief glances at him the curly haired boy wasn’t really that bothered by it, after all maintaining eye contact with somebodies face wasn’t that odd a thing inside of a conversation. Feeling more comfortable around Maia than Andy did most normal people he felt relaxed enough to reach into his bag and withdraw a black leather rectangular pouch with a flap and a clip for attaching it to belts with a nice fancy image of Andy’s favourite monster from his card game printed onto it. Holding this rather expensive leather pouch in his hands, Which Andy had won years ago, he opened the clasp and took out his deck of around forty cards and began to look through them and while it may have been rather selfish to expect Maia to ask about them, he was hoping she did and if you’re wondering why he didn’t start a conversation around this topic up itself it was actually because of his general shyness. |

She wasn't quite sure what to say in response to the correction. She blushed with embarrassment. "Oh, I apologize for assuming," she said in an almost inaudible voice. The wind felt even more bitter against the heat that rose up in her ears and face. She was afraid that she had upset him. But is seemed that he showed a similar amount of distaste for those who spawned him as she, which again, was something she had not expected. She disposed of her salad quietly, no longer feeling hungry enough to eat anymore. The revelation had dampened her mood slightly She watched the boy pull out a leather case holding a deck of cards, that he was quietly looking through himself. She took a moment of silence, but when she realized he wasn't going to say anything, she decided that she might as well. "So what kind of cards are those?" she said hoping he didn't mind asking. "You enjoy playing cards, I take it?" She twirled her fingers through her thick red hair, wondering if he'd be interested in Tarot as well. She thought about doing a reading for him, if he felt inclined into a glimpse of his own tarot, or possibly his future. |

Andy looked up at the girl as she blushed and apologised which if anything confused Andy, after all he didn't really understand why she was saying sorry, after all it wasn't her fault that Andy's father was a piece of intolerant self rightous jackass now was it? No, it wasn't and Andy was going to make that fact known. "Um...it's okay" okay forget about that, Andy was planning to make his thoughts known but his natural shyness took hold and as such Andy didn't feel up to it, hence why he just said it was okay and let it go. In the moment of silence Andy noticed that the girl had finished her salad, or at least stopped eating it, and disposed of it which was probably because she was no longer hungry and as such Andy didn't really pay it any more attention on account. Diverting his gaze and returning to looking through his cards just to occupy his fingers, Andy wasn't really surprised to hear that Alicia inquired about them and while he had no reason, nor even felt like, answering her first question about what kind of cards they where, which may have been kind of rude but in the past people had made fun out of him for them, he was more than comftorable with answering Alicia's second question. "Umm...yes" Like I said before,it might have been rude of Andy to just utterly ignore the girls first question but he had no desire to on account of the fact he got picked on in the past for his interests, which probably explains his caution. Alicia found his lack of a response somewhat odd, because it seemed like he was waiting for the question to be said. There was something in his eyes that she caught but only a glimpse of. Was it fear? Hesitation? Perhaps both? Regardless, it seemed that he wasn't very comfortable with the topic. She understood his hesitation, he wasn't the only one who had been at the blunt of jokes because of cards. She decided that maybe something a little more visual might help him understand. She took her purse, placing it on her lap. After about the sound of three zippers and a button unclicking overpowering the sound of the contents shuffling to make way for her hand. She withdrew a deck of cards. Not a deck like his. Her's was a deck of divination, or to be more specific, tarot. "I have a deck to," she said, sliding out a card with deft fingers, holding it out with two fingers. "Reversed Hermit, interesting" she said thinking to herself. Usually the deck has never communicated to her without the proper shuffling. "Although not a game of luck, would you like your fortune read?" |

At the very least to Andy it seemed like Alicia understood Andy's silence at the very least and as such she let it go much to Andy's relief and being the type of person he was Andy really didn't know what else to do or say so he stayed silent yet unlike before he focused his gaze on Alicia, which might have seemed a little creepy but that wasn't his intention, after all he was naturally curious. At the mention of Alicia having her own deck and if Andy was a cat I can promise you that his ears would have twitched or made some form of movement but he wasn't yet despite that his attention and general interest had increased, not that he was un-interested in Alicia before it was jsut now that he was even more interested in her. The matter of Alicia having a deck though was rather intriging and while at first Andy had hoped it was one for his own card game he was a little saddened to hear that wasn't the case, but despite that he perked back up upon the offer of having his fortune read. Before accepting her offer though Andy moved over and took a closer look at his own cards and noticed that they where tarot cards, which is what motivated him to hold up a few of his own which where a type of cards whos physical desoign was based on all of arcanas involved in tarot readings, not that Andy really knew much about what each arcana represented but he still knew a little about them. "Ohhhh, those are tarot cards! My decks based on them and yes please!" he smiled and seemed to be bouncing up and down in excitment despite sitting down on the ground, which was due to the fact that he was VERY interested in getting a free tarot reading from Alicia. On a seperate note though, the thought that Andy should offer Alicia a dual of his card game, or at the very least lessons, in return to this tarot reading did come to mind but sadly, he didn't have a spare deck to lend her so he decided to keep that idea to himself.
