How Wall and Break spells function
For "Wall" spells, assume the following:
- "Weak" is negated for the spell's duration, and the relevant element does normal damage instead.
- A lack of weakness or resistance becomes a "Resist" for the spell's duration.
- A "Resist" becomes a "Null."
- A "Null" becomes a "Reflect."
- "Drain" and "Reflect" are uneffected.
For "Break" spells, slide the resistance down one slot. In other words:
- "Drain" or "Reflect" becomes "Null."
- "Null" becomes "Resist."
- "Resist" becomes a lack of resistance; that element deals normal damage for the spell's duration.
- A lack of resistance becomes "Weak."
For elements that do not exist in P3 or P4, equivalent Wall and Break skills must be custom-named, but will function the same way as the above.
