Alright, by now you might be getting used to my glib and totally non-serious way of generically just insulting my readers. Well, if you're not, loosen up, it's glib and totally non-serious. If you're taking it all serious business, you're taking it the wrong way.

But that's beside the point. Turn order!

Like any good multiplayer game, it's no fun if everyone doesn't get a turn. The exact method of turn order may be lost on RP forum newbies, though, so here it is:

The first post cycle in which a player posts determines their slot in turn order. So! Say that a thread begins with three users posting in the following order:

User A ---> User F ---> User C

...in that case, the post order will continue in exactly that order over and over (A, then F, then C) until the topic ends, someone drops out, or someone drops in. Suppose User F drops out? Then the order will continue in the same order without User F (A, then C). And if someone drops in, like so:

User A ---> User F ---> BAM! USER Z HERE! ---> User C

...when that happens, they simply slip into the established post order at exactly that place, so from there the order continues as A, F, Z, C, rinse and repeat. See, it's easy! But it's also easy for people to mistakenly think it's their turn to post even if there are one or two people they're supposed to wait for, particularly if (for example) User A asks User Z a question directly. Even if something like that happens, User Z must wait for User F to take a turn before answering the question.

If it's agreed upon between the users participating in a thread, post order can be changed, just don't go out-of-turn without permission. Because that's just rude.
