Name: Oki Takenaka, Stage Name: Mirage
Age: 18
Gender: Male. No wait! Female! Yes, definitely female…right? In a nutshell, only one person knows the truth, so it is assumed by what she is dressed as which gender she is.

School/Occupation: She is a theater actress and the owner of the little cub that wears a collar of bells. She lives with her theater family who teaches her the different things about life and does not require her to go to school.

Clubs: She is part of a traveling theater group called the House of Silence. They perform only silent plays on various topics. The group is a mix of actors and performers that are known for their ability to make the audience fell uncomfortable with their openness about certain topics.

Interests/Hobbies: There is only two things that seems to make those otherwise dead eyes light up. The first is when she is watching something suffer or die. To her, suffering and death are the only real things in the world. Everything else is false and means nothing to her. Outside of this she is dedicated to the theater and perfecting her skills with her strange bladed boomerang and her unarmed combat. She is also addicted to information and actually knows the Digital Reaper the only one that knows for a fact she is female.

Appearance: If she is not in make up and costume, Oki can be found wearing simple and comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Her hair is black and kept layered and cut so it falls to chin length in the bang area and the rest stop at her shoulder. Her eyes are an eerie blue that seem to glow from her almost snow white face. She is elegant and petite, moving with the grace gained from years of being on the stage. Her face is plain and the features of it so blank that it is hard tell if this is actually a woman or not. The fact that sometimes she wears clothing that shows off her feminine shape and at other times male clothing that shows nothing that can even give a hint that she is indeed a woman, makes deciphering just which one she is even harder...and unfortunately, Oki does not make it any easier for those wanting to know the truth. She won’t answer and instead ask “What do you think?” before agreeing with “Then that is what I am”. Her voice is soft and like the rest of her very hard to pinpoint as a male’s or female's. She is also believed to be a mix of Japanese and American, but her blood has not been confirmed. In a nutshell, Oki is very disorienting to deal with.

Personality: On the surface, Oki is approachable and social whether or not she is dressed as a female or male. She doesn’t seem to have a preference for men or women, but also doesn’t seem to be concerned with relationships. She will let people hug or kiss her, but push any further and she will move away. Her reason being is because she is simply not interested in that sort of stuff and finds it pointless to go any further than hand holding or a simple kiss.

Oki does not have a personality that is simply “her”. She is whatever you think or want her to be. If you believe she is a woman, she will act the part and the same applies if you think she is male. If you believe her to be a friend, she will be the one that will comfort you and listen to you when you need someone there for you. She’ll hold your hand and guide you through danger, she’ll laugh with you and cry with you. She will do it all; however, the whole thing is one big act.

Dig a bit deeper and you’ll find something dark under that face. In reality, Oki feels absolutely nothing for the world. She picks up on interest and what not that best reflects what those around her like. Her only interests that are hers alone is her love for information, suffering, and death. She fits right in with her group, knowing which face to wear and which ones not to wear in the situation. Alone, she shows herself to be quite disconnected from the world. She is an extremist when it comes to her nihilistic way of thinking. She sees the world around her as false and unreal. The only real things being suffering and death. As a result of this belief, she doesn’t react truly to things until either is present. She sees those that are suffering as those that are alive and death as a safe passage out of this fake world and into the real. She strives to free the world of the false chains of reality and wake them up by spreading suffering and death in subtleways. This to her is the only reason for her being alive. As a result, she loves the current predicament the city is in. She sees the amnesia cases as helping further this plan. She is eager to find out what the true source is. Not to stop it, but to help it continue to grow and flourish.

History: Oki was a nameless child that a member of the House of Silence named Kojiro found and took in. Kojiro was an actor known to be a master of his trade, but also a special sort of blade dancer that used boomerang like blades to entrance the audience with his dangerous and daring tricks. While Kojiro was popular with the crowds he was not too popular with the theater group because he would often try to force his nihilistic like ways on other members that simply were not interest in that sort of life.

When Kojiro found the nameless child in the back alleys of town, he fell in love with her innocence and in turn took her in much to the surprise of the other members of the group. He claimed the child as his own and named her Oki after the mythical hero Okikurumi he loved to portray in plays. Kojiro adored his child lavishing her with love and teaching her the trade of acting and using the deadly blades he used in shows. With the appearance of Oki, the relationship between Kojiro and the other members changed for one that was better than before as the man seem to drop his nihilistic views and actually turn into a loving father. What they didn’t know was how far from the truth this was. When he was away from the group, he would take Oki to a secluded area of town and pour into her his philosophy on the world. He drilled into her the world as they knew it was just a dream and that the only true thing in life was suffering and death. He told her that suffering meant that someone was alive and that much closer to being free of the lie that was reality. He also told her that death was the only true release from the fake world. Despite this, he told her that she must not take her life, but instead save the others lost souls out there by spreading suffering and death to those all around her. Only when she had saved as many as she could would God allow her to rests and go to heaven.

Oki heard this twisted philosophy and religion and devoured it as if it was the absolute truth. Every day, she worked on things to spread this way of thinking in subtle ways to the world around her. It started with small things like making someone sick by putting something strange in their food or drink or “accidentally” injuring someone to the point where they could not heal. She always apologized, her acting getting most to buy the lies and forgive her.

She made sure that her acts were spread out and far in between so no one would fully catch onto what she was doing; however, there were some more suspicious of her actions than others and sought to catch her in the act. For these suspicious individuals she quickly became friends with them to put them at ease before “freeing” them from the world in various ways. When asked what happened, she would claim not to know what happened when “so and so” broke his neck when he fell down the stairs or how “whatshername” ended up drowned in the lake when the group went on a vacation outside of Japan.

Always she had a story that was easy to buy. Always she made her crimes invisible. The only one who knew the truth about the matter was Kojiro, her teacher and father who approved of her actions all the way to the day he finally passed away.

At Death’s door, he asked Oki to promise him that she would continue to pursue the mission he had failed to do his own life. Promise him to continue to act as a guide to lost and lead them to freedom through suffering and death. She vowed to continue down this path and continues it to this day doing her best to keep her ways subtle, so she won’t get caught in the end.

Weapons/Equipment/Combat Skill: Oki uses a folding metal blade that is curved in such a fashion that when it is thrown, it returns to her like a boomerang. The blade is versatile in the fact that it can be thrown for distant attacks, but also used up close to cut and stab things. This weapon took special training to use, meaning anyone else will most likely cut their fingers off or hurt themselves badly with the tricky blade that Oki has mastered. This combined with her unarmed combat makes her quite formidable in battle.

Initial Persona:

- Name: Himitsu

Himitsu appears as a feminine figure dressed in long cloaks of shadows. Almost everything from her body to her hair is pure black and shifts in an invisible wind. Only her face is as white as snow, her eyes deep empty pools of black and her lips the deepest of reds. The woman gazes emotionlessly at the world around her, becoming the physical manifestation of Oki’s nihilistic view on the world. At her feet rests a cat that is pure white with the exception of its ears, legs, and twin tails which are black. While the woman casts Dia on those her owner chooses to help, the cat is where all the negative status come from. The cat – a bakeneko – represents Oki’s “love” towards a world that she sees as dead unless it is suffering. When dealing with Oki, you’ll always find her persona first and then her either behind or somewhere a few feet away from it. For the most part, the persona remains non-hostile and emotionless until given a command by its owner to attack or aid a thing. How good these results are is highly determined if the owner is being nice her guest or not. Himitsu is a persona that specializes in healing and throwing negative status spells on people or things. She won’t kill, but that does not mean her owner won’t.

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
Three status ailments at level one is a tiny bit much, yes? Mind cutting out either the fear or the charm spell?

Regular old dialogue is supposed to be spoken in Japanese 'cause this RP takes place in the land of the rising sun, don'tchaknow.
