Get in the ball.
|
Name: Yuudai Wakahisa Age: 17 Gender: Male School/Occupation: Tenshihishou High School 3-A Clubs: N/A Interests/Hobbies: Video games, books, sleeping, myths and legends, history Appearance: Yuudai stands at a height of 5'10" with long, unkempt and messy black hair that reaches down to touch his shoulders and often covers his light blue eyes if he doesn't move it out of the way. Occasionally he has been known to tie it back into a ponytail, typically when it might get in the way when doing something important, though he hates doing as such and avoids it like the plague. Despite not being especially tall people often call him 'lanky' due to how thin he is, which is due to him usually skipping one meal of the day (typically breakfast). His so-called lanky appearance isn't helped by the fact that he stands completely straight most of the time, which he keeps to because for him it's more comfortable on his back. He keeps this aspect of straightness even when sitting down, though not as you might expect. He usually slouches in his seat so that his back is properly aligned with his legs for maximum comfort and easy, given him a contrary look to how he is when standing up. Considering he's more often sitting then standing people often foresee him as being lazy, and not caring. He appears to be quite scruffily dressed as well, even when in school uniform. He'll keep his shirt untucked pretty much all the time, unless told to tuck it in by someone of authority, and his top few buttons will remain undone, except when told to do them up. In fact you could probably correct his way of wearing every part of his uniform, his doesn't really bother wearing it that well. In terms of his own, casual clothing Yuudai doesn't really put much effort in either. He'll wear a long sleeved top for most of the year, barring the very hot days of summer, and a pair of plain-coloured trousers. Often he is found wearing a thick coat in every season but summer, which has a tendency of making him look bigger then he actually is, coloured in blue and black colours and looking like it's about to fall apart. The coat isn't something passed down the family or really has any value like that, he just kind of likes it and keeps wearing it because of that. He doesn't need a bigger reason then that to keep wearing it despite pestering from friends and family to buy a new coat. Personality: Yuudai is a clumsy fool, as he's been told multiple times before. Never one to really pay attention to the things going on around him he often finds himself saying something stupid or walking into things that he swears "weren't there before". This is mostly because he spends a lot of his time dreaming, of various different things, instead of paying attention to the real world. In fact, that's what Yuudai tends to be doing most of all. Dreaming, whether he's awake or asleep. People always seem to find him staring off into the distance and thinking about something unrelated to whatever's going on at that moment in time, often getting in trouble for it. He doesn't really intend for it to happen for the most part, it just comes naturally to him. People tend to blame it on his low attention span, and he tends to blame it on nothing interesting happening at the time. Most people would call Yuudai a useless idiot, and it's hard to find evidence to disagree with them. He's never gotten anything above typical grades, he's terrible at sports and he's hardly got the greatest charm in the world. Some would call him 'average' in everything he does, but most call him a downright failure. Behind his back, mostly. Because, really, most find him to be a pretty decent guy. He's not an asshole who goes out of his way to try and bully people, he doesn't go around saying he's the best at anything and more often then not he takes all the jokes that get aimed at him in his stride. In fact more often then not he's the one that makes the jokes about himself. He's fully aware that most people look down on him, in fact he accepts it, knowing full well that if he didn't then he'd end up being completely friendless and alone. That doesn't mean that Yuudai's happy about his state. He hates it, of course he does. He's the butt of every joke, the disappointment of his family, the one people never want to become. He's not good at anything and he sees no future in himself outside of working in a low-paid, dead-end job without any prospects. And that's the real reason why he spends most of his time dreaming. He hates his life, he wants to escape to another reality but most of all he wants to be special. Special for a good reason. Someone that people look up to and want to be like, to have something that he can do that no one else can. Unfortunately, as he keeps telling himself, this is real life. He'll never catch a break. No matter how much he wishes to be the hero of legends, he'll always be Yuudai Wakahisa the failure. History: Yuudai was born the only child of the Wakahisa family, to fairly well-off parents who expected him to follow him in their footsteps of success. Short story, he didn't. Long story, as Yuudai grew up he didn't really show to have any particular talents or skills. He wasn't failing anything, but he never excelled. His parents, however, were not happy with this, they wanted their son to be the best in the entire country. So Yuudai tried his best to appease them, working hard on everything he did. His effort was only met with failure and ridicule, slowly chipping away at his confidence. Eventually his parents gave up on him, and soon after Yuudai gave up on himself. Eventually Yuudai grew accustomed to the ridicule and, seeing it as his only way to make any friends, accepted it, even becoming one of the main people to make fun of himself. On the outside it might've even looked like bullying if it hadn't been for Yuudai forcing laughter out, disguising the fact that every single word spoken stung like a hornet. Day by day this went on and Yuudai began to give up more and more, till eventually all effort that he once put into his life waned away to nothing. It showed in his appearance, which soon became another thing to ridicule. His 'girlish' hair, his 'idiotic' look, at this point Yuudai just lived with it. Still, a small spark of ambition remained in Yuudai. Dreams of becoming skilful, revered and remembered still lasted in him, products of his constant trying to be successful when he was younger. While he no longer tried, it still remained and probably would never go. If anything it only made things feel worse when people ridiculed him, but he still didn't stop them. After all, if he did he'd have no friends... What kind of life would that be? Part of him wished that he had some kind of gift that no one else, or very few people, possessed, like something off of a manga. Of course he chalked that up to childish, wishful thinking... Like that would ever happen in real life, and like he'd ever be that lucky if it did. Weapons/Equipment/Combat Skill: Yuudai doesn't really know anything about fighting, unless you can learn how to do so by watching people on TV or in videogames fight. His weapon of choice is just a metal pole that he uses as if it were a sword, despite not really knowing how to use a sword. If he was given the option of having a sword, preferably a longsword, he would use that. Initial Persona: Sir Dagonet, Knight of the Round Table! Or, rather, a jester kept around to amuse his fellows, sometimes thought to have been only knighted as a joke. Still he thought himself a courageous warrior and pretended to be as such, only to flee at the first sign of battle. He even used to beat in his own shield to make it seem like he'd been in a fight, and tell tales of his victories. He takes the appearance of a man clad in knightly armour, with the exception of a helmet which is instead a stereotypical jester's hat. He wields a battered shield and a damaged longsword, jagged parts missing on certain sections. His skin is pale and his irises black, a slight amount of scruffy black hair appearing from underneath certain parts of his jester hat. Sir Dagonet represents how Yuudai, and other people, see him mixed with his dream. A useless jester who only served to entertain others at the cost of his own dignity, yet also a Knight who's goal it is to be a hero to save people and be revered. Dagonet's cowardly nature represents his lack of commitment and effort to his dreams, and that if he continues as is he will never achieve them. - Name: Sir Dagonet - Arcana: Emperor - Drain: N/A - Reflect: N/A - Null: Physical - Resist: Light - Weak: Dark, Fire, Water - Initial Skills: Cleave, Hama, Rakukaja, Dia Roleplay Sample: Sample Edited by Basil, Mar 2 2015, 04:20 PM.
