Get in the ball.

Name: Kichiro Yamada, "Pretty-Boy" by his workmates Alias: "The Wolf" - In English, used when dealing with the Yakuza in order to hide his identity. Only a few higher-ups in the Yakuza know his real name. Age: 29 Gender: Male Occupation: Kichiro is officially a Detective for the Yumegawa Police Department. However the bulk of his earnings come from his working with the Yaukuza as a corrupt cop to destroy evidence, pin the blame of crimes onto other people or whatever he is asked to do. Clubs: N/A Interests/Hobbies: Football/Soccer, jogging, reading Appearance: Kichiro is 5'11" and has short, tidy, groomed brown hair and calm hazel eyes. Due to his work he makes an effort to stay in good shape, which shows by the decent amount of muscle on his body, and he is clean shaven, not liking the feeling of having too much hair on his body. He is often described as being somewhat handsome due to his appearance, which Kichiro likes as he puts a good amount of effort into his appearance. He is often dressed rather sharply, even when not on duty he'll wear a neat-looking shirt with black trousers and shining shoes. You'll not often find him looking untidy or dirty in anyway, even in very dire situations. In fact he is known to carry around a comb on his person at all times for his hair, which often leads to some of his work-mates playfully insulting him over it. He looks especially neat and tidy when on duty, the perfect image of an officer of the law. When Kichiro wants to hide his identity he wears a green coat two sizes too big for him with a large hood, which he keeps up in order to hide his face, along with old trousers and shoes with sunglasses to block the colour of his eyes from sight. He even goes so far as to change his mannerisms, slouching forward most of the time and intentionally walking in a different manner then usual for him. Personality: Kichiro likes things to be neat and tidy, which most people who know him will be able to tell you. Everything from his own appearance to his work desk and apartment is clean and well looked-after, and he gets somewhat annoyed when people mess up his perfect little spaces. He especially hates people touching his hair, which he endlessly makes sure is neat and tidy. He's even been known to sometimes keep on him washing items, though he doesn't take them around with him all the time. Only mostly. He seems to be a somewhat pleasant fellow, nice to his work-mates and citizens to a degree and dedicated to his job. Some people have called him somewhat of a "pet" to the higher-ups but it's mostly playfulness, and most people who work with him like him or respect him to some degree. After all, what's not there to like? He's an good cop, gets the job done for the most part and clearly cares about his work. Right? Wrong. Kichiro is a corrupt cop, though he's very good at hiding it to the point where nobody suspects him. To the Yakuza he seems completely without guilt and does what they ask of him loyally, for a price of course. He's done all kinds of things that would be considered unforgivable by his workmates, from letting criminals escape to setting up a fellow officer, and shows no signs of giving himself up or stopping his corruption. However, unknown to anyone, Kichiro does feel guilty under everything, even as he refuses to admit it to himself. He rationalizes his actions as being needed for the greater good of society, convincing himself that Yakuza and criminals in general will be forever needed in the world and are as important as the police themselves. That and his own fear are the two things keeping him from turning himself in for his crimes, making him go to whatever measures needed to avoid being found out. History: Kichiro's upbringing was pretty typical, born to an average family and raised without many problems in his life. He did pretty well for himself in his education and could've been whatever he wanted to, however he decided that he wanted to become an officer of the law because he felt that such a cause was noble and right. He felt that he could do much more good working in law enforcement then he could doing anything else he was capable of, so that's what he became. He did well when training to be a cop, working well with the others who were training beside him and being generally happy. He eventually ended up joining as a standard cop, working that way quite proudly. After all, he was doing good things right? He should be happy that way, right? However... This was not so much the case. Kichiro found himself growing unhappier as time went on, part of him regretting ever becoming a cop when he could've chosen to be anything else. Eventually he decided he was going to quit as soon as possible. That's when he was approached by the Yakuza. They wanted an inside man, someone to do as they asked and to help them in return for various rewards. Believing it his only chance to start getting what he wanted in life Kichiro accepted the offer, and found himself a corrupt cop. The Yakuza set everything up to get Kichiro as promoted as possible, giving up a few businesses that they felt weren't worth what they were giving them. Soon enough Kichiro found himself being praised for his 'efforts' against the criminals of Yumegawa, and ended up being promoted quickly. In turn Kichiro worked for the Yakuza, doing various jobs for them as time went by. He was an excellent worker for them, and Kichiro was happy. However one day his best friend and partner by the name of Isao Tachinaka started to become suspicious of his activities and, without Kichiro knowing, started investigating some things. Eventually Isao found out and, instead of going directly to his superiors, decided to confront his Kichiro directly. He pleaded with his friend to stop what he was doing and turn himself in, saying that things would be easier for him that way. Frightened of what might happened to him Kichiro knocked Isao out and took him to the Yakuza, telling them to keep him unharmed while he got rid of the evidence. Painstakingly Kichiro went about destroying any evidence that could even remotely show him as having connections with the Yakuza, even going so far as alter any evidence he could to make it seem that Isao had been the corrupt one. After doing this he spoke to his superiors, who believed him and his evidence. Kichiro went back to the Yakuza, collected Isao and told him what he had done. Kichiro gave Isao some money and told him to run away from Yumegawa and start a new life. Isao, horrified and angered at what Kichiro had done, swore that he would get him back for it before running away. Kichiro has not seen him since. Since that day Kichiro began to be extremely careful about all of his actions, getting rid of any possible evidence whenever he saw it and even adopting an alias to hide his identity. It was also the start of his growing guilt for his actions since becoming corrupt, only not turning himself in due to his rationalization that what he does is good for society. Weapons/Equipment/Combat Skill: Kichiro uses the New Nambu M60, the standard firearm used by Japanese law enforcement. He is trained in it's usage as part of his being law enforcement, and by extension knows a fair amount about non-weapon combat should he be disarmed somehow. Typically when not on duty he uses rounds provided by the Yakuza or other sources, as using his own rounds would likely cause suspicion. Initial Persona: Ysengrimus the Wolf is a character from a series of anthropomorphic fables, wherein his various schemes are overcome my another character and trickster figure named Reinardus the Fox. Ysengrimus is believed to be an allegory of the corrupt monks of the Roman Catholic Church who often would tell people to commit whatever sins they please as he would absolve them of them should they pay him. In the end of the poem his skin is painfully removed and he is thrown to the swine. Ysengrimus takes the appearance of a bipedal, anthropomorphic wolf in brown robes with the hood sometimes down and sometimes up. His head is typical of a wolf's, with it's sharp teeth often showing when he grins or appears to be angered. His hands, though often hidden behind his sleeves, have sharp claws as with his feet, upon which he often wears sandals. There is a pouch of what is apparently gold kept on his side at all times. Ysengrimus the Wolf represents Kichiro's corruption and greed, a wolf who prays on those unfortunate and helps the criminals he's supposed to be stopping in return for money and other such material gains. - Name: Ysengrimus the Wolf - Arcana: Devil - Drain: N/A - Reflect: N/A - Null: N/A - Resist: Earth, Fire - Weak: Water, Ice - Initial Skills: Magna, Agi, Patra Roleplay Sample: See Yuudai Edited by Basil, May 3 2014, 05:08 PM.
