Name: Jin Zetsumei (Lit. Benevolent Death, though the meaning behind it is really more along the lines of Mercy Killing.) Age: 17 Gender: Male School/Occupation: Kasuhayashi High School Class 2-1 Clubs: Student Council (Secretary), Book Club, Film Club. Interests/Hobbies: Hobbies include playing video games, watching films, and going for long walks. Interests include drawing, anime/manga, and medicine. Appearance: Jin is a young man whose appearance is a clear indicator of his condition: He is not well, and this is evidenced by his grey-milky white skin, extremely thin and frail form, bags under his eyes and cracks around his mouth. When it comes to his attire, regardless of season Jin is seen bundled up, usually in trench coats, scarves, jeans, and sneakers. In school, he wears his uniform but tends to wear a coat over his uniform coat, his scarf, and a t-shirt beneath his dress shirt. As for his physical appearance, his eyes are usually held in a half-closed state, and are dull and grey in color, more often than not appearing as though his pupils encompass his entire eyes, giving him a sort of hypnotized or zombie-esque appearance initially. His hair is at about neck length, and worn with a fringe covering his right eye. It is typically rather well-kept and looks relatively silky, accentuating his feminine facial features. Personality: Jin is relatively melancholic when it comes to his physical condition, and due to his sheltered lifestyle he is quick to try and prove himself, but his lack of knowledge often results in failures. He is a relatively smart young man, with an excellent memory and a decent level of knowledge on a wide variety of topics, but he is unaware of how the world works and is more often that not the subject of ridicule or, at other times, being walked all over like a cheap doormat. Deep down, Jin is very bitter towards the majority of healthy people, though this is an unconscious trait that he himself is not fully aware of. As a result, there are moments when impulses clearly contradict his regular personality, and he himself is typically aware of them, but also regrets saying the majority of things he does, indeed, say. His fatal flaw is clearly his overwhelming determination and level of independence, the latter of which leads to a certain level of arrogance given how well he is able to get along in life with help only from himself, his doctors, and occasionally his mother and father. History: Jini Zetsumei was born within the city of Yumegawa, and was a rather unfortunate child. For he was born with a rare case of immunodeficiency, or the weakening of one's immune system. As a result, he spent the majority of his life in the hospital, tutored by people his (then wealthy) parents hired. When in the outside world, the young man was quick to try things that were too adult for a small child, such as cooking and cleaning. These things often resulted in extreme blunders, but also allowed him to learn from his mistakes. When in the hospital, Jin passed the time by interacting with other patients (though very rarely, for fear of catching something potentially fatal from someone), reading, and playing video games. All in all, these things led to his hobbies, intelligence, and so on. Life in the hospital is not only terrible, but also extremely costly. Years of hospital life began to toll on his mother and father, who soon went from being wealthy beyond one's wildest dreams to lower-middle class. As a result, they could no longer afford to continue hiring tutors and therefore, had to send Jin to a public school, namely Kasuhayashi. The major issue? The interaction with other students and the outside world, a world he longs to live in constantly, both cause him to become sick more easily (respiratory problems are especially an issue with him, as he has had some minor issues with drug-resistant tuberculosis in his childhood that have since been treated.), and miss school frequently due to prolonged stays in the hospital. Regardless, Jin tries to force himself to attend so that he can graduate, and become an independent person as opposed to someone leaning on the supports of his doctors and parents, both respected, yes. But not exactly wanted around him. Weapons/Equipment/Combat Skill: He knows nothing about combat and is too weak to wield a weapon. Upon gaining a Persona he will rely on distancing himself from the enemies, and both his own skills and those of his allies, to survive. Initial Persona: Hiruko is the firstborn of Izanagi and Izanami, better known in most folklore as Ebisu, a god of fishery and health. Hiruko was born without bones (or in alternate versions, arms and legs), and therefore, was quickly cast aside before his third birthday. Hiruko is found by an Ainu fisherman named Ebisu, and is able to grow legs/arms/a bone structure by his third birthday. It is here that Hiruko's legend ends, and Ebisu's begins. In appearance, Hiruko starts off as a small being sitting within a basket, its body bundled up but two eyes visible. As it grows (that is to say, learns more skills/Levels up), the body is covered in a grey substance similar to the viscous fluid Shadows emit. When entirely encompassed, Hiruko gains appendages and a white mask, in place of its original wrappings that obscure its form. Note this does not mean that Hiruko, nor its User are related to the Shadows in any way, as neither are malevolent. It simply means that Hiruko represents the loss of innocence due to disease, and the trials overcame through treatment and support. - Name: Hiruko - Arcana: XIII: Death - Drain: - Reflect: - Null: - Resist: Wind, Dark, Light - Weak: Physical, Water, Fire, Ice - Initial Skills: Analyze, Dia, Mudo. (Yes, I gave him more weaknesses than strengths, this is intentional.) Edited by Rei Takeda, Jun 9 2013, 11:55 AM.
