Get in the ball.
Name: Momoko Akamori

Nicknames: "Cheshire" (on account of her grin), "Cat" (on account of her first nickname), "Kitten" (on account of her second nickname)

Age: 16

Gender: Female

School/Occupation: Kasuhayashi High School, 2-4

Clubs: Book Club (Doesn't actually attend most days, gets a friend to sign her in)

Interests/Hobbies: Joyriding, speed, thrill seeking, extreme sports, reading philosophy

Appearance: Momoko stands at a height of 5'8" and has silver-grey eyes which have been said to be quite reflective by quite a few people, especially notable at night and in darkness. She has distinct magenta-colour hair, that has obviously been dyed to be as such, that reaches down to her neck and appears to be somewhat stringy in nature, now and again little strands covering parts of the front of her face. She has a distinctive grin that is nigh-always on her face, the same grin that earned her the nickname "Cheshire", and often has her eyes quite wide open, making her look somewhat 'creepy' to some people. Sometimes she wears glasses due to her myopia, but for the most part she uses contact lenses as glasses can get lost easily or break with what she likes to do in her free time. She keeps a pair on her usually, however.

Unlike her standard looks, Momoko's clothing isn't really all that different from other people's. Given the choice she'd wear trousers over a dress, though baggy ones that are more comfortable to wear, and will alter between wearing a tank top and a long sleeved shirt depending on however she feels on that day, there being no particular schedule that she'll wear them on. One thing that is somewhat distinct about her clothes is less about what they are and more about the state they happen to be in. More often then not they tend to be ragged, scruffy and have holes in them at random places. This is especially true of her school uniform.

While it isn't exactly something you see, Momoko has a very distinctive laugh that those who have heard instantly recognize when hearing it again. "Chichichichi..." is the closest way to describe it in written form, though there is a underlying 'hiss'-like sound whenever she does it. Most people call it creepy, especially with that grin of hers.

Personality: Incredibly energetic, Momoko isn't one to ever be still. Even when sitting down, or sleeping. She constantly seems to be moving, whether doing something that requires energy or waiting impatiently around for such a thing to happen. In her opinion, sitting around and doing nothing is a waste of time that could be better spent doing something fun.

And dangerous.

To Momoko, fun and danger are two halves of the same whole. She's only really happy when she's doing something that could end up seriously hurting her, some kind of stunt or something along similar lines. That way her adrenalin really starts to get pumping, and she feels like the happiest person in the entire world. Even happier then she usually appears to be, which is very happy to say the least. Of course she doesn't do things that are incredibly stupid, and have a high risk of death. She wouldn't be having any more fun if she was dead, after all.

Momoko's most favourite way of having fun, and getting her adrenaline pumping, is by going as fast as possible. She'll achieve this through any means possible, whether it be from her own agility via freerunning or through driving a car or a motorcycle. She's quite known for this, in fact, and she's joyridden vehicles multiple times, hotwiring them and driving as fast as they can go. The girl's never been caught by the authorities, and she's usually returned the vehicles in (mostly) the same piece.

When interacting with people, Momoko has a tendency to come of a little... Unhinged, to say the least. The combination of her ragged looks, her creepy smile and laugh that sounds like something taken straight off a mad anime villain really adds to it. Most wouldn't hesitate to call her insane. In reality, however, Momoko is completely sane in the strictest sense, she just doesn't see things in the way the majority of people do. She's perfectly capable of not acting on her impulse all the time, she just chooses to act on them, and she most definitely knows the difference between right and wrong, and has never intentionally hurt someone without very good reason. Hurting people isn't fun to her, after all.

With all they know of her, or see of her more then anything, most people consider Momoko to be somewhat of an idiot, and ignorant. They think she's simple-minded, doesn't think of the future and generally just dumb. In reality, however, Momoko is really quite smart when she wants to be. She's really quite fond of philosophy, it being one of the few things that she enjoys outside of the typically energetic and dangerous things she typically does, and doesn't much like it when people call her stupid.

The thing is, Momoko believes that there's no point in life. No afterlife, either. When you die that's it. Not that anything's wrong with that, in her eyes, it just means that your given more freedom, with no major duty of life bearing down on you, and that you should focus on having fun instead of anything else. So that's what she does, lives happily in whatever way she can.

History: Momoko wasn't always the person she is today, of course. In fact she was nothing who she was. Her life was fairly normal in all respects, with no tragedies or major upsets to speak of. She was a shy young girl, often engrossed by her books and her books alone, often annoyed by her little brother but otherwise happy with her life as it was.

However one day when her parents drove her and her brother back from seeing some family in another city there was a crash, leading to their car being flung into a deep lake. At that point, Momoko almost died. At first there was fear and panic, then becoming tired and weak, and then came darkness. Complete darkness. Some people say they see a light, or heaven, or their life flash before them, but Momoko saw no such thing. She was going to die, and it would lead to nothing. With these thoughts in her head, everything faded.

Then she woke up, paramedics treating her for her injuries. Somehow, just about they say, she survived the crash. Momoko was the worst for ware from the crash in her family, with luckily nobody having died, and was taken hospital. It was there that Momoko had much time to think about her experience. How she had come so close to death, to the complete end, how she saw that everything meant for nothing... And how she couldn't go back to living how she had before. Having gone through that she wasn't content anymore. She needed to live life happily, needed to live things to their fullest extent.

And so, when Momoko was released from the hospital, she began acting on her new view of life. She began trying things she never had before, looking for anything that was enjoying, and eventually found what she loved the most when looking the face of danger. When going fast. She began growing a reputation for being absolutely crazy, and people would crowd around her whenever she would try some kind of stunt. They were a little annoying, but she put up with them. One of her most memorable ones was when she learnt how to hotwire a car and joyrode it through the city, hurting no one from sheer luck alone, before escaping into the night. It was so fun that Momoko made joyriding her most common method of having fun.

She continues to live the same to this very day, all the way through middle school and into high school, despite the many protests of her family, especially her annoyingly over-protective little brother, and shows no sign of changing.

Weapons/Equipment/Combat Skill: Momoko uses a sling, which she bought one day to try using it. She's good enough with it that she hits her target most of the time, and if an attacker comes in close range she doesn't hesitate to just swing it in their faces as if it was something akin to a flail.

Initial Persona: The Cheshire Cat, famous feline from the popular tale "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. Known for it's distinctive mischievous grin, the exact thing that caused people to nickname Momoko after him. He would often have amusing, confusing and sometimes philosophical conversations with the titular 'Alice', irritating her to a certain degree, and could float, disappear and remove parts of his body at will.

Cheshire typically looks like a large, fat cat of multiple coloured stripes, somewhat akin to a rainbow only with a great variety in colour, and has an overly long tail. He can choose certain parts of him to appear without other parts, seemingly floating on their own, but he barely ever appears without his grin and eyes incorporated in some manner or another.

The Cheshire Cat represents Momoko's oddball, fun-orientated nature that cares little for anything but enjoyment as well as the intelligence of hers that is often forgotten beneath it all. However, unlike Momoko, he seems to get his kicks more from playing with people's minds then anything adrenalin-related.
