La Bandida Professora
Name: Minoru Ito

Age: 26

Gender: Male

School/Occupation: Doctor in the ER of Yumegawa's hospital in the Hisakawa Ward.

Interests/Hobbies: The only hobby he keeps at any given time is working out at the gym, just keep himself in shape. All his other interests are nebulous as they tend to fade in and out, depending on what his friends are currently in to. No one thing seems to keep his attention for too long, but he can find enjoyment in just about everything he tries.

Appearance: Average would be a good way to describe Minoru. He stands at around an average 5' 7", sports an average short hair style, regards his surroundings with average dark eyes, and, on average, tends to blend into the crowd due to his average appearance. The only thing that might stand out to someone about him is how fit he is, or his strangely deep voice, which verges on being a true bass.

His favored clothing style varies from week to week, depending on what seems to be popular among his friends and coworkers. He tends to dress neatly, never wearing anything flashy or eye-catching. Most of the time, he will default to a plain white t-shirt and basic blue jeans when he doesn't need to look his best.

Personality: Generally of a well-mannered disposition, Minoru does his best to get along with others. He likes to ask what sorts of things people are into, making mental notes to look into their interests when he has time. When he tries new things, they usually get incorporated into his interests for a time, before fading away as something else takes its place. This has led some to think he simply can't stay interested in any one thing for too long, and others to think that he might have some kind of mental condition. As open-minded as he is, he is always willing to try new things, and never says no to a new experience (unless it's truly dangerous).

In fact, he hardly ever says no at all. If someone asked him to go with them to a strange new restaurant, he'd say "Sure!" If someone dared to drive at thirty over the speed limit, he'd say "Watch this!" If someone demanded his loyalty to their side of a feud, he would say "Screw those guys!" In short, Minoru allows himself to be pushed around quite a bit, conforming to what those around him expect of him, agreeing with everyone, displeasing no one. Should he find anyone has a problem with him, he would immediately try to find a way to mend the damage, whatever it is. Unfortunately, this trait has the additional side-effect of making Minoru a compulsive liar. Many times, he will hear someone say they like something, and then he will claim he likes it too, just to seem more interesting to the person he's talking to.

Minoru is aware that he can be a bit of a doormat sometimes and has a habit of skirting the truth, but he's fairly okay with that, as long as he has fun doing it. What he isn't aware of is the degree he relies on others. He has an inferiority complex that he doesn't know about, which makes him strive to emulate those around him that he views as superior to himself. Sometimes, this can be a good thing, like emulating the patience of a teacher, or the energy of his younger sister. Other times, it can be bad, like emulating the rashness of a drinking buddy, or the aloofness of his mother. He covets traits, both good and bad, in most people he gets to know, and tries to incorporate them into himself. Unfortunately, he doesn't understand that this is even happening most of the time, and can take it to a degree where it almost becomes a parody of the source, exaggerating the trait subconsciously into something that it really isn't.

Beyond this, Minoru is something of a wallflower, with a habit of staying silent around others, content to fade into the background. He enjoys observing, and has a knack for understanding and interpreting social atmospheres.

History: Minoru was, for a long while, the youngest child. His parents raised him well, treating him like the baby of the family for about nine years. When his little sister was born, though, he accepted his role as the middle child, a part he was quite adept at playing. He watched as his parents praised his older sister, helping her blossom into the successful, confident woman she is now. He watched as they doted on his younger sister, helping her become the tough, spunky teen she is. He, while never really ignored, grew up in the background of his sister's lives.

He had average grades, did average school activities, had average friends, and served as almost an average of his two sisters. He was never as smart as his older sibling, never as sporty as his younger sibling, never as successful as the oldest, never as lively as the youngest. Despite the strange middle ground he occupied which might have frustrated most people, he was perfectly content with how his life turned out. He had two amazing sisters, both of whom gave him something to strive for (his older sister's success, and his younger sister's liveliness), and that was enough for him. The only thing that he ever really wanted out of life was to make his parents proud of who he turned out to be, no matter what that was.

As it turned out, Minoru met a great deal of his own success, getting a medical license and finding work at the city's hospital. His parents were so happy for him when he gave them the news, but the joy was short lived. Only a few months later, his father found out that his wife had been cheating on him.

The entire family felt the repercussions. Minoru watched as his older sister distanced herself from the family, retracting into her work and ignoring them for the most part. He watched as his younger sister retracted within herself, scared of what the future had in store for them. He watched his father, formerly the pillar of the family, fall to pieces as his wife crushed his very soul. He watched his mother, so full of happiness and love, become a cold, hateful woman. Minoru fell into a panic as he watched his family dissolve. Desperately, he tried his best to reconcile them, tried to help everyone find some peace, but no such luck was to be had. Despite everything he did to keep things the way they were, always had been, his family seemed eternally shattered.

His life suddenly seemed to lack direction. Before, he had always relied on his family's lead: working out because his younger sister encouraged him to be physically fit, putting in long hours because his older sister's success was something he strove for, finding time for himself because his father didn't want for him to be completely consumed by his work, enjoying the smaller things in life because his mother wouldn't have wanted anything less of him. But with his family broken as it was, he began to find it hard to focus at work, found it difficult to care about his body, and he definitely couldn't enjoy his job or most anything around him. His life began to lack purpose and direction without their support.

Luckily, he began to make a few friends, all of whom helped shape his life. Whenever in the presence of on of his friends, he knew he could just go along with what they were up to and find some modicum of peace, some amount of joy. Slowly but surely, as he allowed himself to be shaped by people other than his family, he began to live again.

Weapons/Equipment/Combat Skill: This is another thing he picked up from his younger sister. When they were younger, they used to wrestle quite often, much to the dismay of their parents. As they grew older, and Haru got more and more into medieval warfare, they began using PVC piping, wrapped in a thin layer of foam and electrical tape, to spar. Once Minoru bought Haru her first real weapon, they took it out to Seikamoto and practiced with it, teaching themselves real steps and techniques, though they were never that good with any of it. As such, both of them have a minor amount of prowess in swordplay.

On top of this, once Minoru moved away, he started going to the gym with college friends, who talked him into trying out boxing. He enjoyed the sport of it, and got rather good at it too, at least comparatively to his friends. He frequently exercises and goes through practice steps at the gym to keep himself and his small amount of skill in shape.

Finally, he has access, as a doctor, to a great deal of high-end medicines and chemicals. He has the knowledge to know what doses will help, and which will harm. This is by far his most practiced skill, and, though he has not yet had a need to create any lethal or debilitating injections, he certainly has the know-how. Whether he has the resolve to do so, however, has yet to be seen.

Initial Persona: Minoru's persona, Jinsei, is a tall man with loose-fitted sleeves and pants, a cloak, and a large curved sword. He appears to be rather close to the classical depiction of elves, with long, pointed ears and an attractive, angular face. However, despite appearing elvish, he is a good deal taller than might be expected. On top of this, his skin is a strange grey-brown and his eyes are even stranger, a solid, light red with yellow irises and no pupil. His body has a number of different weapons upon various belts and holsters, ranging from throwing daggers to poison vials. His main weapon, the curved sword, is longer than most medieval long swords, and curves to a notable degree, tapering in toward the cross guard and becoming its thickest toward the tip, much like a graduated scimitar.

Ito is clearly just a very powerful name. I wouldn't be surprised if an Ito took over the world at this point.
