In the east wing of the Bastion, nestled between the sweeping grandeur of the ballroom and the massive stretch of the library, lie the garden rooms. So named for the private garden outside the French doors, it is a two room suite given over to quiet contemplation and relaxation. The small private garden outside the French doors is lush and warm, thick with greenery and exotic flowers. Comfortable chairs of richly stained wood invite guests to relax. The sitting area is the larger of the two rooms, with comfortable chairs and settees, thick plush rugs, and an overflowing abundance of vases filled with a variety of flowers from the garden. The tiny sleeping chamber is simple; with an antique daybed of gilded white metal and a plain white cane-back chair the only furnishings.
