Name: Toaiti (Toa)

Species: Nincada

Appearance

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Tribal Status: Multa Fratiba

Personality:
"Those who fight and run away, live to flee another day."
"I will not fail myself to make you happy."
"If I abandon them now, because of what they say we have done, I will be worse than even the foulest tale."
"A cause and its leaders are not the same. The latter's failings can be forgiven so long as the former remains just."
"Peace is a riddle... I have always preferred a nice, complex knot."
"You wish to duel? I have no desire to bear arms against one who poses no threat."
"This insanity will end. At my claws if need be."

History:
Toa was born in the Chilled Forest to a Ninjask father and a Scizor mother. While he has very few memories of his mother, what he does recall is tainted with fear. Most involve hiding beneath the snow and dirt and hearing his father's cries of pain. When he was four, the Zerae tribe tracked down and killed his mother, and his father with her.

Five years passed, and all Toa had left of his parents was his name. He subsisted by eating the roots of the trees he passed by, and hiding whenever there was noise. Then, he found a place where the roots ran deep, and many lived on the surface above them. As time went on, he grew more bold, coming to the surface and scuttling around just under the snow to watch them go about their lives.

There was on place that confused him, however. A place were fights were held, led by a massive scaly beast with sharp teeth and long claws. Toa knew what he was. Predator. They killed and ate what they came across, feircely defending territory against all others except for one short part of the year when male and female would make more predators.

But this predator was different. The way he held himself, the way he acted, the way the others listened to him, told Toa he was far stronger than any of them, but chose to do them no harm. It was... confusing. Everything he knew said that the big one should be killing and eating the others, especially the little-purple-buck-teeth. Yet Toa'd seen him engage them in a fight only briefly, clearly holding back so as not to cause them harm.

Slowly, less time was spent watching their movements, and more time spent listening to what they said. The big one spoke of honor, that all lives were equal, and life was taken only when there was no option. This too, Toa found confusing. But it was like a siren call, and the Nincada returned, time after time, to listen to Talon teach.

This attention the the lessons led to a carelessness that, while turning out alright in the end, could have gotten him killed, had the teacher not stepped in. "How long have you been watching us?" He asked. "I-I don't know. B-before Many-Curly-Tails joined you." Toa had replied, indicating an Alolan Vulpix who had joined early that spring. "Did you not realize it might be dangerous, to drop your guard around so many potential threats?" Came the rumbling question. "Y-yes, at first, but I wanted to know what you were teaching." Came the shaky answer, still slightly scared the dragon would simply step on him if he said something wrong. This evidently pleased the larger beast, who gave a toothy grin. "In that case, how about you stop hiding in a snowdrift and join the class?"

This encounter may have been the single greatest turning point in Toa's life. Where there were gaps in his knowledge, Talon was happy to fill in. When he needed more challenge, his mentor would cheerfully comply. These suddenly expanded horizons were scary to a small insect at first, but Talon would be happy to stop and give him time when he needed it, and gradually, he stopped needing it.

Years passed, Talon taught him in a manner more like how his master taught him, teaching the value of life, and of faith in those around them. Less intended lessons, such as obedience to the generals and their cause, came with it.

When the Fratiba solidified into a proper group, Toa rejoiced with the others, believing it meant they would soon bring peace to the continent, and then the world.

Instead, their leader vanished. The generals said he was out on personal business, but Talon admitted to him it wasn't true, but wouldn't elaborate further. "Has something happened to him?" "... That could be said." "Then could it be said someone would be able to save him?" "There's no saving him from the mess he got himself into." "That should stop no one from trying, regardless of what he has done, this tribe needs him." Talon's warning continued, attempting to convince his student of his error. "If I abandoned him now, because of what you will not say he has done, I would be worse than even the foulest tale."

Toa left that night, in search of his leader, wandering the continent, hoping he would be there, rather than one of the lands across the sea.

Just to put a note here. I'm goign to say that Leech Life will start at Base Power 20 and it will need to be trained up to get to 80 base as it is in Gen 7. :P After all, you're using Gen 6's level up move-set.
