Not a YouTube link. Sadly Toddler fight women spared jail Carole Olver admitted inciting the ill treatment of children Four Plymouth women who goaded toddlers into fighting and filmed it have been given 12-month suspended sentences. Carole Olver, 48, and her three daughters, Zara, 29, Serenza, 29, and Danielle, 19, admitted child cruelty charges at Plymouth Crown Court. During the case, seven minutes of video was shown. A boy wearing a nappy was called a "wimp" for not hitting his sister back after she struck him. The four women are heard laughing as the toddlers are urged to fight. The boy, aged two, is seen crying after being punched in the face by his three-year-old sister and is told by one of the four women in the room "not to be a wimp or a faggot" and to hit the girl back. The children's mother pleaded guilty to causing or procuring the children to be ill treated in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury. The other three pleaded guilty to jointly inciting the ill treatment of children. They say you should never judge a book by its cover - but I want to know - does this story seem as surprising when you see Carole Oliver? ![]() Rough as a bag of spanners, to be sure. I think you can often discern something from a person's features - not the more obvious clothing or other chosen manifestations of personality. I judge people, at least in part, by their appearance all the time - how valid is that judgement and do YOU think this mother is a loud-mouthed crack head on first site? |

What do you think about old Karol Oliver up there? Is the instant reaction "what a surprise, I mean - look at her"? She silently screams abusive mother with her squalid detestable face, don't you think? |

I definitely think people's physical features tell quite a bit about their personalities. Often at work, i have a pretty good idea what the person is like from their face alone, not including anything to do with makeup or clothing. I also think there are certain 'types' almost like archetypes. Even brain structure can be a physical feature if you want to look at it that way, the size of the lobes etc. In the case of that woman, she has a very coarse bone structure, especially her jaw and nose. Her brain looks remarkably small considering the size of her face. People who have very close set eyes are usually short sighted.

while I'm never going to defend the cruelty that women show to male children, I object, your honor, to judging books by their covers. The defendant shows a remarkable likeness to a woman known by counsel, witness X, who over many years has show uncommon altruistic kindness to many children of both genders over the span of 30 years. Witness X has raised 4 children of her own, never having raised a hand to them even in the most provocative situations, and when her own offspring had left the matrimonial nest, took in, as myself and spouse have also done, raised several children from disadvantaged backgrounds, often suffering hardship beyond the call of normal human endeavors to meet such ends. I object to the prosecutions claims that as an ugly old bag, she is evil, and request that his honor strike from the record claims as such. |
