I had spent the last few days travelling further up the trail I held that 5 foot spear in my right hand and a satchel hung just below my left arse cheek, for now the butt of the spear was used as a walking stick it's head pointing upwards. My hair was tied in a loose ponytail at the back of my head and I wore a simple panther fur top with a short fur skirt. I had spent a the last few nights sleeping up tree's or in makeshift lean-tos, neither had been overly comfortable but they had provided me with the rest and shelter I had needed.

My mind kept wandering off and daydreaming as I ventured along the trail, the sound of the wildlife echoed along with the calm breeze, the sound of trickling water in the distance sang it's own song as it danced and crashed against the rocks. I had been living off the other Panther girls for longer than I had wanted, now it was my turn to bring home the bacon so to speak, I was not going back to the lair empty handed this time. The butt of the spear kept stabbing out at the ground in front of me within the blink of an eye the spear was harshly pulled from my grasp. Slight shock ran though my body as the spear was gone from sight, not knowing what had just happened I looked around me startled, my gaze drew upwards and there it was, dangling from a rope attached to the branch of a tree. Luckily for me it was the spear that had fallen victim to the panther trap, light laughed escaped pink lips as I jumped up and grabbed the butt of the spear, pulling the spear and trap back down, I loosened the noose and freed the spear, Kneeling down I placed it on the floor beside me, I gently pulled the trap down and placed it back on the dirt resetting it before hiding it under a pile of leaves.

I picked the spear up and took it in my right hand pressing it's butt into the ground as I pulled myself up onto my feet. Deeper into the trail I came to a sudden stop as nearby bush began to rustle and sway back and froth, I stood in silence, unblinking my dark blue gaze lingered on the large bush. My head snapped to the right as the rustling passed along to the next bush, I carefully shifted the left side of my body in front of my right, my right arm came up to shoulder level and slowly drew backwards over the top of my shoulder. Which would bring the head of the spear level with my cheek. In one swift movement I launched the spear forward in a powerful throw, that 5 foot spear slamming right through the bush, the forest fell silent as a wild screech echoed through the forest.

With caution I began to make my way towards the bushes, the squealing noise fading out to deep snorting breaths. I walked around the bush following the snorts until I came inches away from a large wild tarsk, the head of the spear had slammed right through the bristly beasts rib cage. The tarsk laid there weak and unable to move, his tusks was an amazing sight, Its flat snout made tiny dust storms with each breath, His gingery mohican ran right down to his brush like tail. A slight sadness for the suffering beast ran through me. I took both hands ion the handle of the spear and with a quick yank I removed the spear from the beast, Another loud screech claimed the forest, the hog like animal squirmed around on the floor trying to get to his feet. Without hesitation I came to stand at the stomach of the scared beast my arms came in front of me and raised the spear butt up. “Be free, Beast” I whispered before I swiftly rammed the spear downwards, straight into the tarsks heart. It was over. Just like that the tarsk was still, at one with nature, His suffering had ended, and I had earned My first kill. My first 'trophy'.

Once again I removed the spear from the beast and laid it on the dirt beside the large tarsk as I began to look around and search for the largest leaves I could find along with some strips of strong vine. It was not long before Both my arms was flowing I took all I could carry back to the beast and crudely began to wrap the tarsk in the giant leaves every so often I would take up some vine and tie it around the leaves securing them in place with a tight knot. Before long I came to the tail of the beast, gentle hands tucked the tail under the back of the animal and the last leaf was wrapped around the beast, I tied the remaining leaves in place then attached the last two strands of vine to the the piece I had just finished tying, now the beast was wrapped I took the spear in my right hand, my left clutched the two pieces of vine and off I went back up the trail, the Large beast dragging a few feet behind me. I was glad I could finally give something back to the other panther girls. It felt like a debt had been paid.
