This is the long pass to Indigo Plateau, the meetpoint between Kanto and Johto. The pass winds around through the base of the mountains towering around the area. Caves and side paths and deep mountain forests lay just off the path for the eager explorer. If you follow the paths to just before the Indigo Plateau, you can continue the path down the mountains to the Johto side of this major landmass. Or you can follow the dangerous Victory Road north to the Indigo Plateau.

The Start of the Pass [Route 22]

This is the first step taken on the only major footpath between Kanto and Johto. Its quite impossible to see where it all leads in front of you no matter where you are in the pass...the mountains rise swiftly to either side of you, and tree lines, boulders, and little hillocks dot the area. The path is mostly well trodden and about 3 people wide, and since the path tries to swing around any obstacles it stays mostly flat.

The road winds in and out of obstacles and around hills. trees and tall mountain grass surround the path on all sides, the green enroaching on the nicely cleaned area from the mountains.

It takes about 3 hours to reach the end of this first leg of the pass. At the end, there is a large springwater pond rumored to be very deep and have very pure waters. Above the pond the path turns up into a hill, where a gatepost building sits. You can enter and rest, buy some limited refreshments, and continue on the road.

At the moment, there's a sign on the rear door of the gatehouse, and the gate itself is closed and seems impenetrable.

A sign

There is a dangerous landslide currently being cleared from the path ahead.

We regret to inform you that there is currently no passage allowed on this Pass. Please come back another time.

The Pond

The waters of this small lake/pond are rumored to be extremely deep, so deep that their recesses cannot be plumbed by modern science. A small fishing hut sits next to the pond, a few whole rowboats beached upside down on the shore, and some that look to have been...shattered.
