James took his time. The sun wasn't yet very high in the sky, and he'd made this trip before many times. Mostly, admittedly, when he was a younger man. Still, the route was fairly safe. The only pokemon here were small enough that they posed no real threat to him. You did occasionally have to walk around a couple of youngsters battling it out with their pokemon, but that was easily enough avoided as well. No, it was a casual stroll to Cherrygrove from New Bark Town. As he walked, enjoying the crisp clean air, James took out his PDA and examined it. Maybe he'd received a message from the good Professor, the man coordinating this leg of the experimental rehabilitation. |

As James perused his Pokenav, he heard a rustle in the bushes. A wild Pokemon emerged! [Lv. 3] 18/18 [Keen Eye]

You send a pokemon (which you only have one) out and dictate an attack as soon as a wild appears. I moderate and then, after my post, you dictate another attack and can embellish what happens if you want. |

I am using a damage calculator online. So, I would suppose normal algorithms. |

((I'd recommend at least considering an expedited version. Normal battles take waaay too long.)) James spotted a small bird out of the corner of his eye. He was hit with fond memories of the bird feeder he kept outside of his front window. He didn't need the PDA to know that this was a Pidgey. He was surprised, however, when his Totodile began to Leer menacingly at the bird. He almost made a move to return the pokemon to his ball, but remembered that his friend in the lab had told him that these kind of dominance displays were very important for the proper maturation of the pokemon. Without them, many pokemon were stuck in a juvenile state, never able to grow into their potential. The fights never went far enough for either participant to suffer lasting injuries anyway. |

((I don't know what to look into, expedited version wise.)) James sat back and watched his Totodile do the dirty work. Totodile leered angrily at the wild Pidgey. Pidgey, in response, darted across the grassy field and tackled the small blue crocodile. [Lv. 5] 21/24 [N/A] [Torrent][Lv. 3] 18/18 [-1 Defense] [Keen Eye]

((Maybe allow move-spam using prompt words, since a lot of battles consist of "debuff + spam")) "well, get on with it. You can't just let him push you around like that." James said to his totodile. With a snarl, the creature scratched repeatedly at the Pidgey. |

(In 3 turns... scratch does like 24 damage... without crits...) Totodile raked its tiny claws against the bird, the claws biting deep. The Pidgey returned with a tackle, but to no great avail. Totodile responded to the tackle by climbing from the dust and leaping at the Pidgey, ferociously digging its claws in once more. Pidgey flailed and managed to tackle Totodile once more, only to have the small blue Pokemon's claws deposited yet again into its flesh. The Pidgey was defeated and badly wounded, and thus hopped away into the bushes to live another day. 17% EXP for Totodile! But, as soon as it disappeared, another contender rose to the challenge. A sleepy Hoothoot apparently aroused from its slumber by the battle emerged from the grass! [Lv. 5] 25/25 [N/A] [Insomnia]
