Description: ![]() Emi has crystal blue eyes and long blonde hair that she normally keeps tied up by a white ribbon. The clothing that she always wears was designed and sewn for her by her older brother, Hitoru. She has a locket that her brother brought back for her from his travels in the Sinnoh region that holds two pictures – one of her and her family and one of her and all her friends. She always has a messenger bag with her, and keeps her Poke Balls on a separate belt that ties like a sash around her waist. She's rather petite, standing at around 5'2. Her dress ends at mid thigh and she wears boots that go up to her knees. The ribbon that she ties her hair up constantly dirties itself, so she keeps an extra roll of ribbon in her bag, along with over a dozen of each type of Poke Ball, a Pokedex she got when she met Professor Oak, and her PokeNav and Pokegear. She's always prepared for anything, due to her nature. Personality: Before she left for her first journey, Emi was a withdrawn, shy, and quiet girl. Her love for Pokemon spoke volumes about her personality, but she was timid around people. Over her journey, when she met other people, she continued to grow and come out of her shell. She started taking responsibility for herself and her actions. She was unable to handle defeat well, but matured after losing to her older brother, who taught her a lesson about loss. She passed these lessons on to any new trainers she met along the road. Now, Emi has a bubbly personality, often seen smiling unless something entirely serious happens and she is forced to be serious. She doesn't normally have a plan, and rushes in, hoping things will work in her favor. While without plan, she's always prepared for any situation. She's constantly overreacting and worrying about other people. When something major happens that takes all the fight out of her, Emi becomes like she was when she was ten; withdrawn and quiet. She's easily brought to tears and very emotional. Her loyalty knows no bounds, whether it be to people or Pokemon, but her childishness causes some people to be unable to take her seriously whatsoever. She's idealistic and in love with the idea of being in love. Her favorite colors are light blue, sky blue, dark blue, royal blue, and pretty much any other shade of blue. She loves to cook, draw, and do anything artsy. As much as it doesn't seem like it, she loves rock and alternative rock. She used to play the piano as a child. Her favorite food is her mother's hamburgers, which her brother can also make. Emi writes in her journal once a day before she goes to bed, as so she can tell stories with detail when she's older. Her dream is to be one of the most amazing breeders in the world and be known for her care of Pokemon. Biography: Born in Pallet Town in Kanto, Emi grew up with an older brother, who is eight years older than her. She grew up on a Pokemon Farm, where her mother was an accomplished Breeder and Coordinator and her father was the former Kanto Champion before being defeated by Lance of the Elite Four. Ever since she took care of her first Pokemon, her mother's Glameow, the little girl had a love for Pokemon that no one could remove from her and dreamed of being just like both of her parents. A few years later, when Emi was only at the age of eight, Emi’s parents died when she was little, a plane going down in the middle of the ocean. During her first journey in Kyoto, she grew extremely mature and responsible. Along her travels, she met a boy named Shin, who was aiming to be a top Coordinator, and his partner, a special Riolu that he befriended as a kid. But in the Indigo League, she landed in the top eight, losing to her older brother, Hitoru, in his triumphant return to power as the Champion, the top trainer in Kyoto. Next, she traveled to Kanto, where she managed to get up to the top eight and catch most of the Pokemon that she came across. She continued to travel for the next few years, making it through Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. She continued to capture and breed Pokemon, learning under the tutelage of Hitoru, and take care of them on her own Pokemon Farm in Kyoto that she brought her family Pokemon as well as those that she caught and befriended in her journey. For the next two years, Emi and Hitoru stayed in hiding, taking care of their Pokemon, Hitoru only leaving to take on challengers. However, one day, after leaving to take a challenge, Hitoru never came back. It was then that Emi heard about the Miracle Makers. She began to worry for her brother's safety. A week passed with no communication from Hitoru. Then a message came in from a secure location. All Emi knew that he was nowhere near the Pokemon League and that he was in trouble and hurt. Making a split second decision, Emi and Eve, her trusted partner and longtime friend, set out from the Pokemon Farm, leaving Emi's close friend and traveling partner throughout the six years she traveled, Shin. Emi was unable to find anything, and unable to contact Shin without her call being intercepted and the Pokemon Farm being found. So she continued to lay low for another month and a half, hiding Eve in her bag when traveling through populated areas. Traveling through Kyoto to find her many friends, she was unable to find any of the people she'd met on her past journeys. All she ever found were ruins and evidence of a struggle. As she backtracked towards her farm, she heard whispers of the Resistance against the Miracle Makers. She thought that perhaps they knew something of Hitoru, and attempted to track them down. RP Sample: Month: XX, Day: XX, Year: XXXX. Today was another failure in the Search for Hitoru. I overturned every rock I could, and eventually found what was left of Lance's vacation home. There's just rubble left. I can't believe it. I'm not sure if he escaped, if he was never here, or if the worst happened. No matter what, I missed them by only a few minutes. It's horrible. There's fire everywhere. The smoke and the burning wood is what I saw first. I could smell it from miles away. I got scared. I saw... shadows flying away. They looked like no Pokemon I've ever seen before. It was like a Pidgeot grew Dragonite wings and a Seviper tail. I'm not really sure, but it was just so scary that I froze. I'm not sure if they saw me or not, but I think they may have. I'm honestly scared to death. I can't even call Hitoru or Shin to help me. I just hope that Shin hasn't yet suffered the same fate as Lance did. At least he knows what to do in case of emergency. Maybe tomorrow I'll fare better. Goodnight, world. -Emi The blonde girl closed the journal with a soft slam, heaving a sigh that was unnatural for the usually-cheery girl. A small fox-like Pokemon lifted a brown paw and poked at her leg, mewling a little bit. Emi smiled softly at her Eevee and picked the small Pokemon up. The Eevee squeaked a little, but turned in her owner's hands and nuzzled the girl. "Hey, Eve. Ssh. Just because we're not in town doesn't mean there aren't people here that could hear us," reprimanded Emi gently, scratching Eve behind her ears. Purring a little, Eve nuzzled Emi again before curling up in her lap. "Good girl. I'm going to stay up for a while." Emi sighed again as she heard soft snores coming from Eve. She petted the Eevee before reaching into her bag and pulling out a manilla folder. Reaching for the flashlight next to her, the blonde shifted a bit and clicked the flashlight on. She ruffled through the papers of locations, pictures, and everything else that Emi had collected in her search over the past few months. She reached the back of the folder and lifted out a folded slip of paper. Unfolding it, Emi read the message on it. Em, Keep safe. Keep hidden. Don't let anyone find you with Pokemon. Act like a normal kid. Do not oppose anyone with anything that looks suspicious. Most of all, keep your friends close. I love you, baby sister. Gently refolding the paper, Emi slid it back into the folder and sighed again. She flipped through the pages again and pulled out another sheet, this one with rows and rows of pictures, a name under each. Uncapping a pen, she wrote underneath the picture of the Dragon Tamer. "Missing. Status Unknown, Location Unknown." With a sigh, she looked over the pictures of all the Gym Leaders from other Regions that were visiting Kyoto. That was almost all of them. Emi blamed the stupid Ball of Champions or whatever it was. Missing. Missing. Dead. Injured. Unknown. Missing. Unknown. Dead. Hitoru Hoshi... Unknown. "Don't you worry, Hitoru. I'm going to find you." Edited by Emi, Sep 12 2012, 08:22 PM.
