~Battle Rules~; Alex's Life Lessons about Pokemon Battling!

Hey everybody! Your favorite Poison type Gym Leader here! You know in my spare time I've been reading over our rules and wondering "Jeez, why do we only have one rule about battling in their?" Well I decided to share my fruits of wisdom with you! *no that means you cannot eat one of my green apples. If you do you will regret it.*

Okay so onto the main thing and Raven mentioned this somewhat in the main Rules of the RP. Dodging. Don't you guys remember watching the Pokemon Anime? *which should be replaced with the Pokemon Black 2 White 2 Trailer anime special cause it's FREAKING AWESOME!* and they could always just say PIKACHU DODGE! then it jumps out of the way? Remember during the fight after so many times dodging another attack comes in. Ash says "PIKACHU DODGE IT!" but when the Pokemon tries to it gets hit cause it was too slow? That's what I'm here to talk about.

Were not telling you it's god modding to Dodge an attack if that was the case Fighting RPs like Kindgom Hearts, Pokemon, Bleach, Narueto etc. would be incredibly boring and their would be no RPing. Because after all, you guys *yes you the MEMBERS* are what makes these sites popular. Were just telling you to tone down the dodge rolling, the barrel rolls, the jumps. Whatever you want to call dodging. Here is my rule that I kind of thought would be nice to implement here, I Role Play on a Kingdom Hearts site as well that has an ability Guard, where you can block nearly anything but can only do it a certain amount of times in a match.

Dodging: This is where you straight up avoid the attack. "Oh your going to use an Ice Beam? Tell me how good it is while my Pikachu dodges it." To limit this we ask that you can only Dodge up to three times per battle/battle topic. This means if you leave the fight topic and go to a next one. Your Dodging resets so you can dodge three times.

Example: Topic 1 Pikachu VS......Mewtwo O_O Mewtwo used Psychic, Pikachu somehow dodges. Mewtwo uses Thunder Bolt 2 times and Pikachu dodges twice, Pikachu and its trainer leaves that topic.

Second Topic Pikachu and trainer enter a new RP topic after somehow managing to avoid a Mewtwo beatdown. This time they fight a Pidgey, your 3 uses of Dodging are reset back to 3. Also note that your dodges are for EACH Pokemon, meaning your maximum team can only be 6 Pokemon. EACH POKEMON has up to 3 Dodges, meaning you can technically dodge 18 times with a team of 6. YOU CANNOT STACK ALL OF YOUR DODGES TO ONE POKEMON! What I mean by this? Say you have a team of 6 Pokemon and your just starting the battle. You bring out a Ferroseed you cannot allow that one Pokemon to dodge 18 times! Only 3 dodges per Pokemon!!

Now remember Dodging isn't the only way to avoid an attack/attacks. Use your enviorment, use your Pokemons moves and power and the main thing USE YOUR RP SKILL. I'm not going to be your baby sitter and tell you exactly what I mean by that. That's the fun! Figuring it out for yourself, if I told you what to do you would always do it now wouldn't you? Everyone has different skill when it comes to RP fights. I want to see everybody's fighting style. Seeing how they dodge, seeing how they use certain moves etc. So get out their and FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Note: I have pinned and also closed this topic. This topic is for my Rules only, I will post new Rulings for fighting when the time comes, whether it be for dodging, attacking, using the environment etc.

Back again with another rule that is very important! PP Useage and multiple attacks in a post *HAHA HE SAID PEEPEE! *shoots* yes I did, but not that kind of PP...PP is an abbreviation of Poke Power for those of you new to Pokemon.

In the games each move a Pokemon uses has a set amount of PP or Poke Power, for example, Hyper Beam starts off with 5 PP meaning you can use Hyper Beam up to 5 times before you run out. When all of your useable mvoes have no PP your Pokemon can only perform one move called Struggle, Struggle deals minor damage and deals recoil to the user as well.

Long story short, we use the PP system still and you can't have infinite etc. For example Seviper VS. Steelix:

Steelix uses Stone Edge but Seviper Dodges. Seviper has the move Flamethower, Flamethrower has 15 PP SEVIPER SPAMS FLAMETHROWER 15 TIMES! Judge Alex says: lol da hell ya doin?

I'm not saying you can't do more than one attack per post, we want to be a mixture of the games and the anime style of combat after all. But you must have your limits, you can only spend up to 4 PP per post. If all of your PP is out you can only perform one attack, and that one attack is Struggle. So yes you may attack multiple times but watch your PP usage. Once your out of PP your most likely going to lose, Struggle deals weak damage but has a huge recoil.

However here are moves that are excluded from this rule, meaning you can use them but if you do. You can only use them once per post and you can't perform any other moves either because their too strong or..their too strong.

Moves excluded from this rule:

Hyper Beam
Giga Impact
Frenzy Plant
Blast Burn
Hydro Cannon
Draco Meteor

On this site several moves are treated differently.

Double Team: Creates several clones of the foe that can attack as well, fakes die in one hit.
Agility: Allows your Pokemon to run faster for that post.
Detect: Gives you a free Dodge rather than "protecting yourself" *still considered a Protect* You must use this dodge in the post you use Detect.

ALL ONE HIT KO MOVES ARE BANNED.

Egg Moves, we all love them to death. But are they too good on this site? This is going to be a short post but long story short NO. Meaning that your Pokemon can have an Egg move but their are limits, your starter can have an Egg move but you can only have 1-2 Egg moves depending on the moves they learn at the beginning.

Example, Ralts only learns Growl when it first starts, pretty weak right? Well since it only has 1 you can technically fill all 3 remaining slots with Egg Moves. In your app/c book just add the move in and put ~Egg Move~ next to it so we know it's an egg move.
