Name your top three in each, and if any anime/manga get 4 in a row, a randomized will chose our topic! But I'll start the first on. Just posts you thoughts and critisims on the said anime and manga, and have fun!

It's essentially about 3 people getting kicked out of their town and entering some dessert with weird creatures for a year, and it just goes over their adventures and stuff. It's pretty interesting in my opinion but they stopped making it in 2004 which is most likely why you haven't heard of it.

Ah. It seems interesting, so I'll have to stop by my local library for a copy. ^^

I've never been an anime fan just because I find the English voiceovers super annoying for the most part - especially in One Piece though the original early Naruto voice was just god awful. I couldn't watch more than three episodes of the One Piece anime because of Luffy's voice and because I had been reading the manga and pronouncing it Luffy and I just couldn't cope with the Loofy pronunciation. It's too close to Luffa which is what all my friends call him. Monkey Loofa. I do however love manga or at least what I've read of it so far. I've only read a few, but I'm getting deeper into it. So this is just my favorite so far

1. I know it's older and it's almost cliche to even mention it but oh my god do I love AKIRA. It's just so awesome and I love Kaneda. I find him funny. Sort of like a fifteen year old Han Solo in a post-world war 3 world. It isn't perfect, but I still love it

2. Dragonball was my first foray into manga and I hold it dear to my heart, however, I like the first child half part much better than the latter half that became Dragonball Z. The latter half just doesn't seem to fit well with the child era. I loved the first half because it was camp and didn't take itself seriously. It was almost a parody on Journey to the West and I loved it. Then it starts taking itself seriously and I just can't take that world seriously. They have all these heroic sacrifices and deaths and it's played completely straight despite the fact it's a world that has magic balls that bring people back to life therefore negating the meaning of a heroic sacrifice. It's sort of the old debate of "if fire can't hurt you is it still bravery to run into a burning building?" And it just shoots itself in the foot too often.

3. This one is close to being replaced by One Piece, but I'm not too far into One Piece. I'm almost at the ending of the Sky City/World or whatever. I think it's skypeia, but I honestly can't remember. It hasn't been my favorite arc to be honest. However, I love the first half of Naruto so damn much. Well, maybe not half, but before the time jump. I loved that for once we had a weak protagonist. He was different. He was a loser, an outcast and he wasn't smart or talented. He wasn't some chosen one. He became better slowly but surely through blood, sweat and tears. He wasn't born with the ability of super strength and bullets bouncing off him like Goku and there wasn't much special about him. Sure the Jinchuriki comes further into play as it goes on, but it was interesting to see such a different protagonist. Then in the second half the writer became a hack, went back on everything he ever said and the comic stood for, turned Naruto into a chosen one, because we didn't have enough of those and I need to stop here because my hatred for the second half of Naruto knows no depths because of how much I loved the first half and how it did it's absolute best to ostracize and distance itself from everything the manga stood for.

The Awesome Gay Joltik

Top Anime:
1. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Original sucks in comparison IMO)
2. Attack On Titan (Just... perfect... perfection in its finest, goriest, deathiest, suddenly-that-character-has-been-eaten form.. but not enough dubs so FMA beats it cause FMA is more perfect right now...)
3. Fairy Tale (I like it mainly cause the person who voices Ling Yao in FMA is the main character, the person who voices Riza in FMA is one of the main character, and just so many people who are in it voice people from FMA and FMA is, like I said, perfection. I don't like it though because too many boobs...)
4. Free! (Like it cause they're attractive to look at. Don't like it cause it wasn't dubbed when I watched it and too many awkwardly insinuated gay moments... I'm all for them but... too obvious and awkward)
5. Sword Art Online (It's good, but weird... stopped when it turned to Alfheim because of insinuated incestual stuff...)

Top Manga:
1. FMA (Because it's FMA... nuff said)
2. Death Note (Didn't read much but what I read was pretty awesome)
3. Bleach (Didn't read much of this either but it was still pretty good.)
4. Naruto (Was how I started. Read a lot and liked it but it just goes on way too long...)

I have to say, I love the incestuous events of SAO. Not because I approve of the practice but because it shows another facet of online gaming's anonymity. You can literally fall in love with your brother. That's a brilliant piece of drama that they executed with amazing quality.

Both FMAs hold my highest esteem though. I honestly don't think they can even be compared to each other. Both of them had very different themes and ideas with different emphases and both were done very well. Weeeeeell ending the first series with a movie probably wasn't the best move from a writing perspective, but even so.

And attack on titan is another good story as well. I think the set up needed for it is necessarily huge, but there's still a lot that had to happen before we seem to get into the real plot. And the reveal of the two special titans happened really abruptly... And I need to know more about that big furry thing! And the walls! Ugh they have so many conspiracies! But I like it~

With bleach and naruto I just want to see cool powers. That's basically it. New jutsus and cool swords are what keep me following those.

Log Horizon is a good anime for anyone who enjoyed SAO. I could hardly call the Alfheim stuff incestual, maybe if they took it one step further than having a crush on a guy that later turned out to be family.

The first Manga I ever read was called +Anima and I still love it now. It's about a group of kids who get powers from animals moments before death and such, and the world kind of assumes them to be outcasts, and it's pretty good. I never did finish it though.

Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tale, FMA... I feel like I might be the only one here that just can't seem to get into most of the popular Shounen Jump stuff. I don't doubt that it's probably good, but, at the risk of sounding like a hipster, I just hear people talking about it all the time on the internet and it turns me off for some reason.

On top of that, the big ones like Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece are such long-running series that I feel like it'd take me way too much effort to get up to date. I enjoy the first few chapters/episodes, then look at what they're on now and just go completely pale in the face.

For the most part, I enjoy comedies, and more often than not, they're part of a high school setting. Not really much action, a bit of romance with a minimum of drama. The reason I watch anime is to make me laugh, not to wrench out my gut with feels. Occasionally I'll find something I really like that ends up having quite a bit of action and/or drama, but I always get into it in the first place for the comedy.
