I'm playing through Pokemon Platinum and am currently at Pastoria City taking on Crasher Wake. Though.. I find myself in a little struggle. When playing through Pokemon games I have a habit of having a perfect team of as many types possible, while not repeating any typed Pokemon. (For example, I won't allow myself to have Gliscor and Crobat, because they are both flying, or Camerupt with gliscor because they are both part ground) My current team so far are all level 32s, aside from my level 33 Luxray, other pokemon include Umbreon, Porygon, Crobat, Prinplup. Though I need a 6th Pokemon. I would like people to place suggestions for that final member of my team here ;D Also any movesets for these pokemon would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of having my umbreon knowing mainly ghost/dark type moves, such as shadow ball, bite, etc. Luxray will be primarily Electric, Prinplup will be learning water moves such as surf and Aqua tail with Iron claw and Drill peck. Crobat I plan to have poison and flying type moves. Porygon may be switched out for a better pokemon - So not only am I looking for a 6th team member, but also a Porygon replacement. Thanks lovelies! -- -Note, Crobat currently knows Defog and Fly. Prinplup currently knows Rock Smash. With Umbreon, Crobat, Prinplup, Luxray (And possibly Porgyon) I assume that makes me weak to electric, So I would need a ground type. |

I would suggest a decent ground type, or even a grass type for your team. Ground type wise almost anything goes as the pokemon within that type are generally good anyway, Hippowdon is a decunt pure ground type, or for more type couvarage get a Mamoswine, I'm sure Swinub can be found somewhere. As for the grass type, I suggest using it to replace Porygon, but once again any decent grass type will do. Main suggestions are Tangrowth, and if you pick Hippowdon go for Abomasnow, it will have a double weakness to fire, but putting it up against a fire type would be stupid anyway. I don't have any move suggestions, but they all have decent lvl up movesets, just try to play to their strengths. Give the physical attackers physical moves, and the specials special moves, and have preferably 2 STAB moves, the extra power boost could end up saving your life. Also I do suggest aiming to get one of the part ice pokemon I suggested to help with Cynthia. |

Mk so with Fluffy's suggestion, I have searched through learn-sets and decided on picking up Abomasnow and Hippowdon - though finding a move-set was a tad difficult. I thought of Picking up Garchomp instead of Hippowdon (Which now puts me at risk to ice) Potential move-sets are as follows,

Or I could drop Garchomp for Lucario to get rid of that nasty Ice weakness and he can pick up Aura Sphere Close Combat Brick Break (Then Empoleon can learn Earthquake) and Dragon Pulse ... After realizing Empoleon and Lucario are both part Steel- How about swapping Garchomp out for Gallade? Honestly, if you did choose to use Gallade over an existing member of your (potential) team, I'd swap it out for Abomasnow, purely because you can have a Gallade learn Leaf Blade, which is a pretty powerful Grass type move, so you would still have coverage if you needed it. Also adding onto that, you'd have Gallade as a part fighting type, so you'd have decent coverage over Ice types as well.
