OoC It had been quite a while since Renko, a young trainer from Oraclair Town, had started her long journey to become a Master Physic. Right now, Renko was standing before the huge forest of Skytouch. She had decided this will be where she would capture her first Pokémon. She wasn't just hoping for anything to appear, however, Renko in fact was searching for a specific Pokémon that only could be found there: Sewaddle. "Although my winter clothes have to keep me warm, I can still feel some cold..." Renko noticed how her breath had became visible and also felt how her body was slightly shivering, due to the low temperatures of the surrounding area. "Brrr... And it'll be even colder inside..." Then, she looked at the forest: Its trees were huge, rising from the ground up to incredible heights, with leaves covered with the snow which constantly fell from the sky due to the season. "Alright, enough idling around! It's time to catch some Pokémon!" Having hyped herself up, she rushed to the huge forest, her goal clear in her mind. Skytouch Forest. Renko had been right. Just after she entered into the forest, a freezing wind could be felt, making her shiver again, more intensely this time. Due to the cold season, the temperature inside the forest was even lower than it was outside, and the visibility was even worse. The ground was almost entirely covered with snow, with the exception of some bits here and there that were clear. Some plants and weeds also seemed to have survived throughout the season. "What a place... with this poor illumination, the task of finding a Sewaddle, heck, even finding any Pokémon will be harder..." Renko slowed her pace, and began to walk more slowly, being careful to not trip over a branch or a rock or something, as kept looking for the Sewaddle. "Maybe I should had brought a lantern with me, it would have made things way easier..." Renko continued her search for a Sewaddle, but after some time, she realized how immense was the terrain that the forest covered. It was somehow even bigger inside than it looked from outside the forest. It could take quite a while to search for such an insignificant thing when compared with the huge size of Skytouch, and being there for extended periods of time wasn't something she wanted. Exhausted from the search, Renko decided to rest for a while, sitting on a nearby log. "I hope to find it on time..." The young trainer sighed and checked the time on her Holocaster, just to make sure she had plenty of time left. "Five to three... That means only three hours are left before the sun sets." Before coming into the forest, Renko decided she would stay inside until the sun began to set, as it would be pretty much of an impossible task for her to keep searching at night. "I can't afford to rest when I've so little time left! I must find it soon!" Renko rapidly stood and then continued the search for her desired Pokémon. Edited by Tewi, 10 Oct 2016, 11:09 AM.

OoC By now, fifty minutes had passed since she rushed into the large forest, and she still couldn't find a pokémon. Renko kept wandering, always maintaining herself near the trail of light that pierced through the little space between the trees' snow-covered leafs - Soly, I need you- she said, in a rather low voice, while freeing her pokémon from its ball, the small green and round being then started to float happily near her master, but then started to shiver noticing the cold that was haunting the place - Oh... Let me do something for you...- Renko had put off her warm earmuffs and then gave them to the Solosis, putting them on her so she wouldn't feel cold - That should do the trick, how're you feeling?- Soly answered by floating happily around her, Renko smiled and then grabbed and hugged her, the little pokémon was startled by these sudden actions, but quickly realised she was getting more warm. - I need you to do something for me, see the trees up there?- The trainer asked while pointing at the tree over them, still hugging her pokémon with the other arm though, Soly nodded in affirmation, seeing in the direction she was pointing - I need you to shake the branches so the snow comes down, more light would pierce that way and maybe I'd see farther - Renko stopped pointing and hugged her pokémon with both arms again, then lowered her sight to face her pokémon - Can you do it for me?- at first, Soly doubled if she'd do something like that, but then got confident and nodded with very excited eyes. Renko freed her from the hug and she started floating upwards, getting as near as she could to the branches, then Soly started to send soft waves that shook the branches gently, however, the waves slightly got more and more stronger, making snow to fall and letting more light to illuminate the forest - Nice, come here you little thing- the small pokémon slowly fell to her trainer's arms, who started to hug her once again - You did a great job, now I can see slightly more farther... With this, I'm sure we'll a pokémon for s- Renko looked around while talking, but abruptly stopped. Pretty away from them, a faint sound could be heard, surprising the young trainer - That's weird, I haven't heard anything until now...- she, again, lowered her sight to face her pokémon, who seemed to be slightly tired from what she just did - Soly's currently tired, so I've to let her rest for a bit- Renko grabbed Soly's ball and returned her to it for a deserved rest, then, again alone, she started to walk towards the place the sound was being made. Thankfully for her, due the now bigger source of light, the place wasn't entirely pitch dark, instead, it was fairly illuminated and she'd see where she was walking, but slowly the place started to get more and more darker the more she walked away from the big source of light - The sound comes from around here...- she kept walking, slowly, towards the source of the sound, noticing that she was constantly getting more and more buried in the snow, and also noticed the place was dark once again, but more dark than when she entered at first - This place's starting to get way too dark y'know...- The darkness was getting her will lowered, but as she kept walking, another light came in front of her, it was an small area where there wasn't trees, so light again washed her body - Warm...- having her body being warmed by the faint light of the sun was nice, also, the more she got near the *, the stronger the sound was getting and slowly, she started to recognize the sound - It's a pokémon!- walking more faster, to the point of almost running, she found the source of the sound: It was an small Ledyba, who had its fairly small body buried almost completely in the snow. - Poor thing...- she saw rather sadly how the little pokémon was moving desperately in order to get free from there - Seeing you like that, you're just like me when I was little...- Renko called the attention of the Ledyba and helped her by grabbing her hands and pulling her out of the snow - There, now you're free again- her voice had a very warm tone when she said those words, and that's because she recalled that a certain incident that was pretty similar happened with her in the past, when she was little - Do you want to hear about it?- the Ledyba was really thankful to her for rescuing her, but also seemed curious of the way Renko's expression looked rather maternal, so she hugged to her and listened attentively to her story - Okay, here I go...- she also freed Soly, so she could hear as well. Flashback I was little the time it occurred, in the town we were in the middle of the winter season. Like all the kids in the town, I loved to play in the snow, I just don't know why, but it was really fun. My parents liked to see me happily playing with other kids, having snowball battles, making angels in the snow or building a snowman. One day, however, "that" happened... - Miko, be careful out there!- my mother always was worried of me, and I loved that. - I will, don't worry!- I was careless, I ran to where the snow was and quickly, in a matter of seconds, everything turned black, but... I wasn't asleep, I felt scared and I started to move desperately because I didn't know what was happening. "H-Help!" "Where I am!?" "Why is everything so black!" these were things I could had yelled, but I couldn't open my mouth - ...!- then, I started to feel how a sudden cold slowly struck my entire body. My mother went back to the house, so I imagine that's why she didn't noticed me falling into a small pit hidden by the white snow, thankfully, that pit was pretty near to my house and when my mother saw through the window that I wasn't anywhere to be found, she went outside and saw me, losing strengths because of my limbs getting colder, she grabbed me and pulled me out of the pit, I saw her face, a worried expression was the only thing I could see before blacking out, she was also yelling something, but I can't recall what. When I finally woke up, I felt a very warm thing pressing tightly against my body, that feeling, I swear I could do anything to feel such a thing again. It was my mother's heat, yeah, I was sleeping all this time over my mom's. - I warned you, didn't I?- her voice, I will never forget the maternal tone it had, despite her being, supposedly, mad at me - I was really worried, I feared I may had come late...- now it sounded sad, I lifted my face and saw tears running through her cheeks - I'm glad you're okay, my little child...- - Mommy...- after seeing her tears, I supposed I did something wrong, but when I was about to cry, she patted my head and started to pet it - Mommy... Mommy isn't mad with me...?- - Don't say such nonsense, you did nothing wrong, Renko did nothing bad- she kissed me in my cheek and showed a warm smile to me. - Really...? I'm... so... happy- my body felt heavy, I was feeling sleepy - Renko... is... going to sleep... a bit more...- I slowly closed my eyes and then felt how she embraced me between her arms. - And that's how my story ends...- she noticed, just after finishing, that as she told them about her story, tears were falling slowly from her eyes - Sorry, it's just that I'm too sensible...- she also noticed that the two pokémon were pressing against her chest, both sleeping peacefully - Hey, you can't sleep here, is dangerous...- Renko started to pet their heads while still hugging the Ledyba with the other arm, doing so for a while was enough to wake these two. After a moments, the three were ready to continue with the travel, so she took out her holocaster to take a look at the current hour and to the map of the forest as well, however, the artefact seemed to be damaged as it didn't answered to any command, nor it even turned on. - ...!?- she was rather scared and her surprised expression gave her two friends a bad feeling - The holocaster isn't working, it must be because of the cold and because it's a pretty old model...- she now started to feel depressed, without the map she must have to wander around the forest, clueless about where to go, even the terrible thought of not being able to get out passed through her mind, such a thing normally wouldn't be a problem, but because it's currently winter, the low temperatures in the night may become unbearable - What we're going to do now?- she said worried, but then felt how some was pulling her shirt, it was the Ledyba - Oh, you're still here?- the little bug pokémon, through corporal language, told her she knew how to get out of the forest - Really!? ... Can you...?- she stopped blushed prior ending her question - Can you help us to get out?- the Ledyba, very cheerful, nodded in affirmation - Great! Well, I think it's better for us to get going- she said, taking out Soly's ball and returned her into it, then she was going to give her scarf to the little bug, but she refused - B-But it's for you to not get cold...- the Ledyba made her know she was used to the cold and that there wasn't nothing to worry about - Okay...- Afterwards, the two of them started to walk, fly in the case of the Ledyba, towards the exit of the forest that, hopefully, wasn't too faraway. OoC - I hope we get outside soon...- Renko voice sounded kind of worried as she was walking following the lead of the Ledyba she had just saved minutes ago - Also, I think I'm starting to feel colder by the second...- and she was not wrong, her entire body starting to shake proved it. Ledyba then turned around while flying, looking at her with worried eyes - E-eh... Don't worry, I can still keep going for a bit more, also, since we're moving the produced heat surely will maintain cold at a minimum- the bug pokémon seemed kind of confused after hearing her words - A-ah... I'm okay, so keep leading me- Renko kindly smiled at her, trying to show her that she was alright. The little bug thankfully got the message and keep flying. However, Renko suddenly stopped and locked her eyes into something she managed to see around the snow - I-it's... what I've been... searching for!- Ledyba, who keep going for a bit more stopped and turned around to see Renko approaching to a cheerful Swaddle that was playing in the snow - I've to catch it... Care to wait for me while I do so, Ledyba?- she asked to the flying ladybug, to which the latter seemed to agree - Thanks!- Renko grabbed Solosis' ball and freed her from it, quickly giving her an order to attack - Soly, there's the one I've looking for! Let's end this quickly, use- however, she had not noticed her tone increased as she gave the psychic pokémon the order, which warned the Swaddle who turned around and saw the two - O-oh... H-hi, how're you little friend...?- the bug pokémon quickly recognized the situation and then adopted a battle stance, ready for whatever she'd do against her - So, you're not fleeing? Nice! Let's start with this then, Soly use- when she was about to give an order though, the little bug quickly jumped towards her Solosis, slamming against the psychic pokémon with her entire body, sending Solosis to the ground and thus starting the battle. - Tch...! I didn't knew you'd be such a quick attacker...- Solosis rose again shortly after receiving the attack, shaking a bit to entirely recover her senses and then turned to see her trainer, waiting for an order - Alright! Soly, use Psywave!- Solosis' body glowed with a blue light and afterwards fired a soft psychic wave right towards Swaddle upon hearing the order, but the latter reacted quickly enough and hardly evaded the attack harmlessly - Come on!- Then, Swaddle once again attempted to hit Solosis with her body - Soly, dodge it now and then use Psywave!- this time, however, the psychic pokémon succeeded in dodging the attack by moving out of the way, firing her Psywave once again, with the psychic wave looking slightly stronger than before, against her opponent who was still recovering from the jump she had to do to attack, which resulted in a successful hit from the Solosis - Great!- The bug pokémon had received good damage from the attack, but still got energies to keep fighting. However, instead of using Tackle, this time it fired a white thread against Solosis which enveloped around her body, bringing her speed down slightly - String Shot... Pretty intelligent... Now it'll be harder for Soly to dodge his future attacks- despite knowing all that, Renko grinned and gave an order to her small psychic pokémon - That'll not stop me though! Defence time! Soly, use Reflect!- when Renko gave the order, her pokémon made a transparent blue sphere around her - This will help Soly to defend against his attacks...- Soon after Solosis finished the sphere, Swaddle again tried to slam against her with her body, successfully hitting her thanks that the threads she fired earlier hindered her speed. However, the damage dealt to her wasn't as good as before, especially because she couldn't smash her against the ground as he did before - Poor thing, surely he didn't know what's happening... Thanks to Reflect, physical moves now deal less damage to her, this effect won't last long though, so I've to end this fast!- with that though in mind, she gave Solosis her next order - Now, use Psywave!- again, Solosis' body glowed with an eerie blue light before she fired a psychic wave against Swaddle, the wave seemed to possess the same power that it had the previous time she used it. However, the bug pokémon jumped out of the way the waves were going to hit, dodging the attack and then tried to hit Solosis again with his Tackle. - Soly...!- even with the strings surrounding her small and round body, Solosis managed to move in a desperate attempt to dodge his attack which miraculously worked - Great, now quick, hit him with the most powerful Psywave you can do!- hearing her trainer's orders, Solosis' body glowed blue, this time more intensely, then fired a powerful deep blue psychic wave that struck its target cleanly. The impact resulted in a small explosion - We did it?- after the dust cleared, both saw that the small bug was barely standing still. The attack seemed to have worked pretty well and surely had done enough damage to make her easy to be captured - Alright, you did it great, but it's my turn now!- Renko grabbed one of her empty pokéball and prepared to throw it towards Swaddle - Here I go!- then finally threw towards the aforementioned creature. When the ball entered in contact with the bug pokémon, it bounced on her and opened in midair, absorbing Swaddle and falling to the ground - Now's the time... Please...- the ball started to shake shortly after falling to the ground - Please...- the ball kept shaking for a few moments before suddenly stopping, then a clicking was be heard and the ball remained quiet afterwards - ...- meaning that the capture was successful - I... I captured it...- as Renko slowly grabbed the pokéball, tears of joy could be seen falling from her eyes - I've captured a Swaddle!- She shouted proudly, not caring if something were to happen, but thankfully for her, nothing did happen. Solosis was happy as well, floating around Renko in joy, but suddenly stopped and began to fall to the ground - Soly...!- her trainer put away Swaddle's pokéball and then hugged Solosis between her arms as she fell, the little psychic pokémon was exhausted from the battle, especially from having too use way too many attacks and from receiving Swaddle's attacks - Thanks for your effort Soly. For now you can rest, you deserve it...- she then kissed her kindly, grabbed Solosis' pokéball and returned her to it. Afterwards, Renko walked towards the Ledyba who was flying around in joy, as if celebrating her recent caught - Hehe... Thanks, surely you were rotting for me all this time, weren't you?- Renko patted her head kindly and faced her with a smile - So, let's continue!- Ledyba nodded in affirmation and proceeded to keep leading her out of the forest. 'I hope there's still someone capable of repairing this old model...' She thought while looking at the Holocaster. 'B-but, what if... there's none left that can repair it... I don't know if I'd afford to buy a new one...' All these thoughts passed through Renko's head as she followed Ledyba's lead. Ledyba, who was happily leading the way, stopped for a moment and turned to check on Renko. Renko, despite following her, seemed to have been walking slightly slower than normal for a while. Her expression was hopeless and her sight, and surely her concentration, was centered on the damage artifact she was holding on her hands. So, the Bug Pokémon approached to her and cried hoping to call her attention. "...!?" The cries of the Ledyba were successful at snapping her from her thoughts. "O-oh... S-sorry Ledyba, I was thinking about something..." Renko faked a smile, and forced some laughs as well, as she scratched the back of her head. "You keep leading, that I'll be following you no matter what." She then stretched her hand, raising a thumb. The cheerful ladybug knew that something was wrong with Renko, her forced expression made it very clear. However, Ledyba realised it surely was a personal problem of hers and that she'd overcome it by herself. So, Ledyba, trusting Renko's words, continued as Renko kept following her lead. 'What am I doing? Ledyba now's worried because of me...' She now felt way more depressed than before, but then she raised her hands and hit both of her cheeks with her palms, making a loud noise which made Ledyba stop and turn around. 'Renko! Control yourself, you can think about what you'd about that once you return to the nearest Pokémon Center. For now, just keep following Ledyba...' When Renko got a hold of herself, she noticed that Ledyba began to pet her head. "W-what are you..." Then, she recalled doing the same thing to give some relief to her pokémon and to Ledyba. "Y-you..." Renko smiled and let out some small laughs, then grabbed the Ledyba gently and gave her a hug. "Thanks... for cheering me up." Afterwards, Renko had let the Ledyba go and both continued their way out of the Skytouch Forest. However, their path wouldn't last long, as after a couple of minutes they finally got out from the forest. "Huh...?" When they came out, Renko turned her head to see the sky and noticed the orange color it had, realising it was about to become night. "Luckily we managed to get out just in time..." Renko sighed out of relief as some bad thoughts cleared from her mind. Then, she turned around, facing Ledyba. "Thanks for leading me outside the forest, without I might not be out here today..." Ledyba's cheeks suddenly turned red clearly showing her embarrassment. However, she also seemed to be pretty happy to hear Renko's praise to her and demonstrated so by cheerfully dancing around while flying. "You're good at that too Ledyba!" The words of the female trainer made her feel even more joy, but then she stopped. "Huh...? No more cute dancing?" Ledyba approached to the confused Renko, as the latter scratched her temple. When the ladybug Pokémon was near enough, she lowered her head and remained like that, as if she were waiting for Renko to do something. "Huh...? What are you...?" Renko couldn't deduct what she was doing at first. "Oh, I get it!" The female trainer then began to pat the head of the little ladybug. "Surely this is what you wanted..." Ledyba could be seen showing an expression of a mix of both embarrassment and happiness. "Such a spoiled little bug is what you are..." Renko's voice had took a warm and playful tone when she said that, then, she gently stopped the patting. "Well, it's time for me to go Ledyba..." Sadness could be seen on the face of the little bug as she said these words, although Renko had a pretty warm expression as she did so. "It's time for us to part ways..." Tears started to form on Ledyba's eyes when Renko said those words. Both, despite not spending a very long time together, managed to grow pretty quickly as friends and saying goodbye to a friend is always a difficult thing. However, Ledyba understood that their time together had come to an end and thus turned around and sadly walked back to the forest. "Ledyba..." She saw with sadness how Ledyba slowly got back into the forest, hating herself for not having anything to do, but then an idea burst out on her mind. "W-wait!" She shouted, quickly approaching to the little bug who turned around as soon as she heard her cry. "There's still a way...!" Renko then grabbed another one of her empty Pokéball and showed it to the little ladybug. "I know you know what I'm talking about!" A smirk could been seen on the trainer's face. Ledyba nodded and approached to the ball held in Renko's hand, touching and letting herself being absorbed by it. Once she got completely absorbed, it waved a few times before stopping, then a clicking sound was heard. Finally, Renko freed the recently captured Ledyba that was cheerfully dancing around. "Well, with this we're now a team of three, or four counting myself." Ledyba finished her cute dance and returned to be in front of her, now, trainer. "I'll be counting on you from now on, so I hope you're ready!" The little Bug Pokémon nodded happily. "Excellent!" Afterwards, Renko returned Ledyba to the Pokéball and then put it with the others. Now, with a team of three Pokémon, Renko prepares to go towards her next destination, not entirely sure what it'll be, though. However, a thing indeed was clear to her: This just was the first step of a very long journey that's just being started. Edited by Tewi, 22 Mar 2016, 06:01 PM.
