If you happen to come across a problematic move, ability, or item in which its applications in RP are questionable (and not listed in the special Dex), then please use the following template in order to file your complaint. Reply to this topic and a staff member (or experienced members) will then come into your assistance. If the issue has been settled, the Special Dex can be updated if there is a new application. Please make sure that before you file a complaint, check the Special Dex to see if that answers your question first.

Type: Move? Ability? Item? Or even something else?
Explanation of Problem: Self-explanatory. Make sure that your problem is clearly described.

Link of Topic: I believe this was discussed in the chat with Reiko.
Type: Move
Explanation of Problem: Moves like Toxic Spikes, Spikes, and Stealth Rock (the entry hazard) would probably want to be firmly addressed...

Link of Topic: Mentioned in Chat
Type: Leech Seed
Explanation of Problem: Well, there's the move called Leech Seed which acts like Absorb, but more on a indefinate scale for it lasts... till the pokemon faints or uses rapid spin. As well this skill lingers even when withdrawn or the pokemon who used it is switched out. Question is, how would this move be used without some serious problems since it's not in the SP Rp Dex?

Entry Hazards: The user does an action in which it releases glowing white spikes and falls into the battlefield. The white spikes will sink into the ground when they land and will not do anything. When the opponent switches to another Pokemon, small explosions will go off on their feet right after they land, damaging them.

The same concept will go for Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock (with modified descriptions)

Leech Seed: The user lowers a part of their body and launch out a few seeds at the opponent. Once the seeds hit the opponent, irritating vines and leaves emerges and stick onto the opponent. While the opponent may try to get rid of the seeds, they will always regenerate. Fortunately for the opponent, they can still be active and attack. After the opponent uses a move, the vines and leaves will glow red and suck a small portion of health from the opponent. The same amount of energy sucked will then be restored into the user.

Special Dex updated.

Type: Move
Explanation of Problem: Not actually a problem so to say, but Trapping Moves should include Bind.

I apologize for not addressing this issue earlier.

I am not certain if we had updated the RP Dex after you posted it, but as you can see, Bind is already part of the "Trapping Moves".

It wasn't when I looked, and it seems it has been updated after I posted this. People should really keep the 'Last Edited By' line.

It's supposed to be there. Whoever edited it must have made a mistake. I updated it to show an edit just for good measure.

Type: Item(s)
Explanation of Problem: Would evolution-inducing items that require trading in-game (Reaper Cloth, UpGrade, etc) require trading in Godai? If not, would they react like instant evo-inducing items (Leaf stone, Dusk stone, Dawn stone, etc)?

I feel like that's mentioned somewhere in the rules, but they react like evolution stones. The pokemon has to consent to being evolved though, they can resist the influence of the item, as well, so you can't just shove a shiny scale at a feebas and make it evolve, and they won't evolve by accidentally bumping into something unknowingly.

For Pokemon that involves evolving "by holding" or "by learning", in order for them to evolve, they must first have their requirement and then level up with it (i.e. Poliwhirl is holding King's Rock. He must level up in order to evolve to Politoed). Evolutionary stones are different as you only need to expose the Pokemon and they can immediately evolve.

It's stated in the pokedex. And I posted here in case John's response doesn't fully answer you. But yeah. Go with what he says too, just in case. <:D

Type: Move
Explanation of Problem: Beat Up. This can be pretty OP when you've a full team and some heavy-hitting physical attackers. Also, how would each pokemon entering the fight briefly to throw a punch work in an RP format?

I personally think that we should ban this, because in-RP, it's too easy for a trainer to go "Hey, more than one pokemon, cheat D:" but that's just my opinion. Other mods?

Well let's think this through.

the Base power = (Users' Atk/10) + 5

Houndoom learns it at level 26 so an average Base power for that (keeping even stats as much as possible) would be 70/10 + 5 = 12

70 Atk with a 12 base power isn't particularly strong. It'd be more efficient to use Pin Missile actually.

But let's take something with a 35% on Atk which is the highest we get on here, I think. And in the same division as Houndoom at the same level.

That puts us at 127 Atk/10 + 5 = 18

This move doesn't do that much damage to begin with. It's pretty much Dark type Fury Swipes.

And to appease the general population, We're changing the exact definition of the move. Instead of a trainer's team coming out with enough time to land a single hit (which I still maintain wouldn't be /that/ bad) we'll have one single user channel the strength of each team member. So it'd hit once with its own atk stat, then following in suit with each member of the active party, its atk stat changing each time. That way the same amount of damage is dealt, and all the mechanics stay the same, it just doesn't involve any extraneous pokemon (and we're forgoing the Japanese name).

This will be put into the Special RP Dex~ Thanks for bringing this up~

Type: Move
Explanation of Problem: Pay Day. Could this be a way for players to farm lots of monies? Because the canon (Bulbapedia) entry states that
Quote:

Pay Day does damage, and scatters coins on the ground with a value equal to five times the user's level for each time it's used. These coins are picked up afterwards if the player wins the battle. Luck Incence and Amulet Coin both double the amount received.

Kinda game-breaking if we don't edit something because I can see someone just becoming the Pokemon version of Bill Gates if they've got an Amulet and a somewhat-high leveled pokemon. Either way, I thought I'd ask you guys about it.

Type: Move(s)
Problem: Roar, Dragontail, and Whirlwind. How would these be explained in an RP form?
