"Ahh, Reed River."

Melanchthon had visited Reed River, Reedriver Bridge, and the surrounding communities plenty of times before; he worked there once when he was young, traveled there many times after he was young, and had last visited the bridge and nearby communities less than a month ago. However, those last times brought up bad memories, recollections that he would rather avoid right now - and so here he was, walking along the banks of the Reed River. He had never actually walked down these banks before, despite his numerous trips to the surrounding areas, and so looked upon it with wonder; Was this always here? How did I never notice it, this hidden gem right underneath the bridge, the sight of young plants growing by the ever-rushing river?

He was about to enter a peaceful trance, simply admiring the place, and his eyes were already beginning to glaze over when something - or rather, someone - knocked him out of it. "Tree-cko, Tree!" Latching onto the old man's back, apparently his favored location when traveling, was none other than Melanchthon's Treecko, who was himself looking about the area with curiosity evident in his eyes.

Snapping out of the daze before even fully entering it, Melanchthon chuckled lightly, watching as Treecko began climbing around over him in order to get a better view of the area. "Be careful not to move so fast, little one - you'll fall off like that, eventually," he warned, not unkindly. Seemingly heeding his words of caution, Treecko slowed his movements until he finally climbed onto the trainer's hat, appearing to sit on it while actually clinging onto it tightly with his feet. Testing his balance, Melanchthon couldn't help but move his head around a bit, shaking his head; as expected, Treecko's grip on his hat was secure enough for him not to fall off. Content, he finally asked: "Enjoying the view up there, child?"

"Tree-cko!" The little gecko Pokemon replied, making a shrill noise as it repeated its species name. "Tree, Tree~" Despite how little time they had been together thus far, Melanchthon already kind of recognized the calls Treecko made when merry, having made certain that he attended to his Pokemon's needs as dutifully as any other new trainer.

"An eager one, aren't you?" Melanchthon commented, himself rather jolly at the moment - he himself couldn't explain it, but the young Pokemon's feelings were contagious, to him at least. "Be careful up there, you hear?" he urged, as he continued to walk along the side of the riverbank, making sure to keep as balanced as possible. Though he himself did not know, his fatherly - or perhaps, grandfatherly - instincts had already acted up from the moment Treecko attached himself to his shoulders, and he was already treating him as he would any progeny of his own, watching for his safety while giving it what good he could.

As the old man and the young Treecko continued down the path following the Reed River, Melanchthon couldn't help but notice that every so often, some of the reeds around them would shake, or some part of the river bubble without warning. "Ahh, child, look - there must be Pokemon around here. Perhaps, a new friend, or maybe a way to improve your strength?" he suggested, one eyebrow rising as he asked.

Treecko crossed his arms in reply, raising its head high in a cocky manner. "Treecko, Tree, Tree!" He shrilled, making a Napoleon-esque pose. It looked more comical than anything, and Melanchthon couldn't help but smile though he couldn't see it.

"You sound so eager, young one. Wait a bit more, and chances are we'll stumble upon something interesting, eh?"

"Tree-Tree!"

Walking along the river bank, Melanchthon couldn't help but notice that Treecko would, every once in a while, suddenly shift his weight towards a side, as if leaning around to test his own stability. Of course, the old man deemed it dangerous - what if he leaned too far, and fell off? - and so quickly plucked Treecko off of his hat, holding the gecko Pokemon in his arms instead. "Come now, child, stop wiggling around," he merrily said, holding Treecko firmly despite the Pokemon's squirming in his grasp. "It is not proper for one to act so dangerously and not expect retaliation. If you will try to fall, I can guarantee I will hold onto you until that is no longer a possibility." Melanchthon smiled as he continued along the path, with the now-sullen Treecko in his arms; a few minutes of struggling later, and Treecko gave up resisting the old man's embrace, simply staying there limply.

"Tree-cko." Treecko crabbily shrilled, a tone of defeat in his call.

"Ah, so we are on mutual agreement?" Melanchthon happily responded; he was treating Treecko right now the same way he disciplined his grandchildren when they were bad on outings, using what his adult children called his "death-by-affection" treatment when they saw him using it on his grandkids. The elder was absolutely unfazed by Treecko's cranky acceptance of the fact that he couldn't break free, though he did slowly release his hold on him, allowing Treecko to move again. With no hesitation, the gecko Pokemon scurried onto Melanchthon's left arm, latching onto his shoulder as it would a tree trunk. "Much improved," the old man grunted, content with his Pokemon's current position.

Melanchthon had taken less than a dozen steps afterwards, when suddenly-

"Yan, Yan~"

Out of a nearby reed bed, an unusually insect flew out; when he noticed it, Treecko gained an instant interest, pulling on the sleeve of Melanchthon's coat. "Tree, Tree!" He called out, catching the old man's attention.

"Eh? What is it, Treecko? Have you found food or something?" the old man asked, himself a bit occupied looking in the other direction - there was a peculiarly shaped tree, the shape of which he likened to that of an embracing couple. "Or maybe love, love requited, that which is the most beauteous of all-" By now Treecko had no idea what he was talking about, and realized only the fact that Melanchthon was not paying attention. As such, Treecko pulled on his sleeve even tighter with one hand, pointing towards the nearby Pokemon with the other.

"Tree-cko, Tree, Tree!" He shrilled, his voice sharper than usual; that much, Melanchthon caught on, and so turned around while stopping his words abruptly.

"What is is, Treecko?" Melanchthon asked absentmindedly, before finally noticing his Pokemon pointing towards a reed bed. "Is there something- Oh, that?" Finally, he caught sight of the Yanma. "That's just one of the oversized dragonflies. I don't think they're too rare around here; there used to be a small swarm near the river, back when I was young," He dutifully explained, though Treecko shook its head. "Eh? Is something the matter?" Treecko gave Melanchthon an exasperated look, before pointing with its free arm first towards itself, then to Yanma, and finally to the pocket that the old man kept several of his Pokeballs in.

"Ohhh, you wish to- ah, I see," Melanchthon remarked, as his free arm reached into a pocket to pull out his Pokedex. "Let's see, I know this gadget has something to do with this. How do you open it, though..." The old man began to wave it around randomly, until finally, tired of waiting, Treecko himself snatched the Pokedex, turning it on with the press of a button. "Ohhh, thank you very much," Melanchthon exclaimed, once he saw it was on; there was little more he had to do, seeing as the Pokedex was coincidentally pointed towards the Yanma.

"Yanma, the Clear Wing Pokemon. It can hover in one spot by flapping its wings at high speed. It flits about to guard its territory," the Pokedex announced, in a rather robotic and monotone voice; Melanchthon wasn't prepared for it though, and almost jumped back when it began talking.

"Yeesh, these newfangled gadgets are strange," He commented. "Now they can talk, too? Well, I've nothing against it. Anyways - uh, Pokedex, how does one battle?" He asked awkwardly, not certain if the Pokedex could reply.

Evidently, it could. Almost immediately after he asked, the screen on the Pokedex changed to show Treecko and his health, as well as a small list of available moves. "Ah, this is useful," the old man stated, reading the screen. By now, Treecko was fidgeting in his impatience to do something, and even leaped off of Melanchthon's shoulder, standing in front of him with arms bent, as if ready for a brawl. "Well, I can't really see why not, so - go for it, Treecko!"

"Tree-cko!" At his bidding, the gecko Pokemon began running towards the Yanma, who had been watching the pair the whole time. With a smile on its face, the Yanma flew towards Treecko as well, its body whizzing about erratically the whole time.

"Yan~ Yan~"

As Treecko and the Yanma began to square off, both staring at each other intently, Melanchthon was busy reading the data on the Pokedex. "Let's see..." he muttered, looking at the move list closely. Of course, he knew that Pokemon battled using moves, and that those who had trainers performed what moves their trainers told them to - but, having never been a trainer himself before or partaken in a real Pokemon battle, he had no idea what the moves currently on the list meant. "Leer, pound, absorb - too late now to figure out what they all mean," he decided, looking up from the Pokedex; the two Pokemon were staring tensely, just waiting for one of them to make a first move.

"Trial and error it is," Melanchthon grunted. "We'll see what these do - in order, I guess?" With that, he called out, "Treecko, Leer!"

And the battle started.

"Tree-cko, Tree," Treecko shrilled in response, continuing to stare at the Yanma right in the eyes; Treecko's eyes widened and turned red for a moment, as he tried to intimidate the Yanma.

It was most definitely a success. "Yan, Yan, Yan!" the Yanma cried, as it began to dart around in an erratic pattern, as if it couldn't control itself. Suddenly, the Yanma's eyes also began to glow, emitting a bright green light for a moment; had Melanchthon looked closer, he would have noticed that Yanma's eyes were now beginning to track Treecko's movements, though neither he nor Treecko noticed it.

Looking back at the Pokedex, Melanchthon called out the next move on the list. "Treeko, use Pound!" He shouted, and Treecko nodded once in acknowledgement.

"Tree!" Treecko cried, as it began to run towards Yanma; at the same time, Yanma itself charged at Treecko, diving down from the air headfirst. "Tree-Cko!" With that as a battle cry, Treecko leaped upwards while turning around, its tail poised to strike - and strike it did. The gecko Pokemon's tail struck the Yanma headfirst, knocking it back a small distance. The Yanma seemed to be determined enough, though, as almost immediately afterwards it flew back up with its unstable motions, ramming itself head-first into Treecko.

"Yan-Yan!" Both Pokemon backed off for a few moments, each checking their injuries - though both of them were slightly bruised, neither were too badly injured just yet. In fact, if anything, the initial encounter made both of them only more inclined to fight, as now each Pokemon's eyes had focused on only each other.

"Last one on the list, last one...what does this say- oh, right," Melanchthon murmured to himself, still looking at the Pokedex. "Treecko, use Absorb!" The old man watched, as Treecko complied; standing upright, the gecko Pokemon rose its arms, and both hands began glowing red before firing out a pair of red beams at Yanma. "Now that, looks both fancier and more refined," the old man said to himself in pleasure, at least, while the attack was still going on. The beam struck Yanma, and for a moment Melanchthon could swear he saw small red particles fly back towards Treecko, though they vanished once they came in contact with him.

"Yan-Yan, Yan~" The Yanma cried; much to Melanchthon's dismay, the beam looked like it had barely any effect on it, and the Yanma flew down towards Treecko with another Tackle, knocking Treecko back about a foot or so.

"Well, that didn't work well." Melanchthon was much disappointed by the lack of effect the move seemed to cause. "The only one that seems to actually be of much use is...I think...ah, yes. Treecko, use Pound again!" He called out, watching the battle more than the Pokedex now; he'd already determined which move he believed most effective, though he couldn't quite make up his mind yet on whether to capture or defeat the oversized dragonfly of a Pokemon.

"Treecko, Cko!" The gecko Pokemon began to run to the side, its tail already curled up, though some bruises were easily visible. "Tree-Cko!" The Yanma attempted to avoid it, but could not- leaping up once more, Treecko slammed its tail down upon the Yanma, before landing on the ground and swiftly leaping back to his original location. The Yanma seemed to be severely surprised by the audacity of Treecko, and said nothing as it picked itself back up and into the air, hovering a mere foot or so above the ground. Instead, its eyes began to glow bright green again, and this time Melanchthon still did not catch it; Yanma's eyes, staring straight at Treecko, eying its every movement and motion.

"Treecko, use-" Melanchthon was about to repeat his statement again, when Treecko suddenly turned back to look at him.

"Tree-cko, Tree!" Treecko shrilled, as he began to make a strange throwing gesture with his hands. Melanchthon knew no sign language, of course, and was terrible at trying to figure out pantomimes. Staring at Treecko with a confused expression, one eyebrow raised higher than the other, Melanchthon asked.

"Treecko? What are you doing?"

"Tree-Tree, Tree!" Treecko cried out, his right hand moving towards his left chest.

Melanchthon was thoroughly confused. "You want me to...have faith in you? Foolish young one, how could I not already?"

"Tree! Tree!" Treecko became clearly agitated, as it began to slowly pantomime pulling something out from in front of himself, and then throwing it.

"That's, that's..." Melanchthon was still clueless, when Treecko's saving grave came in the form of the Pokedex.

"Would you like to catch this Yanma?" It stated in a slightly monotone voice, its screen displaying a diagram of a figure opening and then throwing a Pokeball at a Pikachu.

"Oh, what?" Melanchthon said, looking at the Pokedex; it still took him a few moments to figure it out. "Ohhhhh, you want me to catch that Yanma?" He finally said, looking back up at Treecko. Treecko nodded his head furiously, still pantomiming the motions. "Alright, then," he responded, taking out a Pokeball from his coat pocket. Mimicking the diagram, Melanchthon opened the Pokeball by pressing the button, and threw it straight towards Yanma - "Here goes nothing!"

The Pokeball bounced twice before it got close enough to the Yanma to work, but once it did, sent a large beam of red out, absorbing the Pokemon into the Pokeball. Landing on the ground, the Pokeball stopped moving for a moment, and all was silent as Melanchthon gave a sigh of relief. "Well, thank goodness tha-"

And then it shook. Once, the Pokeball began to furiously turn from side to side. Melanchthon stopped mid-sentence to look at it in horror; but it stopped shaking again as quickly as it started. Cautiously, Treecko moved closer to the Pokeball, watching it with wary eyes in case anything happened.

But then the Pokeball burst open, and Yanma popped out once more. "Yan-Yan~" The clear wing Pokemon cried, a merry call, as it continued to hover about a foot off the ground, jerking in every which way once each few seconds.

"What? Impossible!"

Impossible, Melanchthon said; but what had happened, happened. For whatever reason or reasons possible, the Pokeball had failed to catch the Yanma. "Yan~ Yan~" The Yanma called out, as it flew up in the air before shooting down, ramming itself into Treecko, who had already moved close enough to it that he had no chance to act prior to taking damage. "Yan~" the Yanma victoriously cried, as Treecko was knocked down and rolled back several feet.

"Treecko! Are you alright?" Melanchthon called out, watching with worried eyes as Treecko was knocked back; bravely enough, the Treecko picked himself up once more, though the injuries he had sustained were now only more obvious. Treecko nodded, giving a shrill-sounding cry as he leaped back onto his feet. "There is always the possibility of-"

"Treeeeee!" Treecko suddenly turned towards Melanchthon, giving him a rather fierce look. "Tree, Tree-Tree-cko!" It gazed at him with piercing eyes now, and the old man could tell - this was a fight Treecko had no desire to back out of. Even if you lose... Melanchthon could not help but regard Treecko's choice with a mixture of concern, fear, and- satisfaction? I did say I would need the personality of someone like you didn't I? Looks like I was right, heh.

"Very well then," Melanchthon replied, consenting to Treecko's stubbornness. "Let us try one more time then - hang in there, do you here?" Checking the Pokedex, he could determine that Treecko was at about a bit less than half health; He probably can't take more than one more tackle...if we can't finish this soon, I'll take him over to Herbalife City fast as I can. They should have a Pokemon Center there, but until then, "Hang in there, Treecko - Pound, once more!" The old man shouted, and Treecko more than willingly complied.

"Tree!" Jumping towards Yanma once more, Treecko spun around in the air, his tail already prepared - and wham! His collision sent Yanma flying back and crashing onto the ground, more so than before. Even the Yanma must be injured too- ah, that's it! Melanchthon bit his lip as Yanma retaliated once more, slamming itself against Treecko before flying back; injuries were evident on both Pokemon by this point, though in fact they both seemed around equally weary...

"Here goes nothing; hope for the best, Treecko!" Melanchthon said, as he pulled out another Pokeball, throwing it towards the Yanma once more; just like last time, the Yanma was absorbed into the Pokeball in a flash of red, and the Pokeball bounced a few times before it landed on the ground, shaking every few seconds. This time, both Melanchthon and Treecko watched the Pokeball carefully, both filled with apprehension and a bit of a desperate type of hope. For Treecko's sake, do not escape... Melanchthon thought to himself repeatedly, staring at the Pokeball intensely enough to crush it, if he were a psychic.

The Pokeball shook once. Then twice. Then a third time. With every shake, the old man felt a miniature heart attack, and judging by Treecko's appearance upon looking at him, he could safely say his Pokemon felt something similar. But then; Ping! The Pokeball stopped shaking.

Treecko and Melanchthon couldn't really believe it, initially; they simply kept staring at it. In fact, for about two or three minutes they still stared at it, though no movements escaped from the Pokeball. Slowly, they turned to face each other, both with the same confused glance - once they were looking at each other fully in the face, though, Melanchthon and Treecko ran to each other. "Success!" Melanchthon announced, laughing heartily, while Treecko cheered.

"Tree, Tree!" Treecko merrily shrilled, as the old man embraced the Treecko, who jumped up into his open arms. "Tree-ee!" He pointed towards the Pokeball, though he need not have; Melanchthon was already on his way towards it, and once he got close, picked it up, holding it up face-height while observing it.

"Look Treecko, in here; and all because of you too!" Melanchthon said to his Treecko, holding the Pokeball close enough for him to see. Treecko looked at it for a moment, before holding out an arm - poke!

A flash of red shone, as a certain 'oversized dragonly' appeared out of the Pokeball, still injured, but flying around Melanchthon in erratic movements.

"Yan~"

Yanma stared at Melanchthon and Treecko, its eyes wide with evident interest. "Yan~" Melanchthon and Treecko returned the stare, of course, though Melanchthon was doing so to look into the Pokemon; Treecko was doing so for the sake of staring itself. This Yanma looks...happy? His observation was correct; despite having just been assaulted by Treecko and company, as well as freshly caught in a Pokeball, the Yanma seemed to hold neither a grudge against them nor fear of them. In fact, it was even playfully whizzing around, before landing on the ground in front of Melanchthon. "Yan, Yan~"

Melanchthon's Pokedex suddenly started up again. "Yanma's data has been inserted into the Pokedex."

"Eh?" Melanchthon pressed on his Pokedex, as it began displaying information about Yanma - "Level four, I see. Flying and Bug type, I could have predicted that. Female - well, not like I could tell anyways, but useful to know. Move set....Foresight and Tackle, alright. Ability, Compoundeyes- wait, what does that do?" He pressed on the word for a moment, and read as a description popped up. "Ohhh, ok, that sounds useful." He looked up, at the Yanma staring at him with eager eyes. "You're a happy one, aren't you?" He asked, voice turning soft as he would when talking to children for the first time. "Come here, Yanma."

Yanma happily complied, its eyes merrily closed as if flew in closer, until it was a mere few inches away from Treecko's face. "Yan~ Yan~" She chanted, hovering around Treecko. To Melanchthon's surprise, Treecko didn't look at her with enmity, or even annoyance.

"Tree-cko! Tree!" Treecko shrilled in reply; with a formal aura about himself, Treecko reached an arm out, hand open. As Melanchthon looked on, Yanma in turn stretched one of her legs out, holding onto Treecko's hand. Their connected limbs moved up and down several times, before releasing. They are...OH, a handshake?" he finally realized. It would explain a lot, such as the sudden aura of solemnity that surrounded both of them. When the handshake was done, Treecko leaped and climbed back up onto Melanchthon's left shoulder, while Yanma flew up until she was at shoulder height and hovered right over his right shoulder, occasionally buzzing around in twitchy movements.

Melanchthon could not contain a grin of relief, upon seeing his Pokemon count now doubled, as well as them both getting along so well. "Alright then; we should probably head to a Pokemon center somewhere, for the both of your sakes. There should be one near Herbalife City." He turned around, trying to think of the quickest route to the bridge, when the water in the river began to bubble unusually actively. "Eh?"

Looking at it, the old man could swear he saw some dark shape, lurking right below the surface. "Never seen something like that before," he muttered, walking closer to the river; the water was now bubbling furiously, enough so that he could even see several other shapes in the water - other Pokemon, perhaps? - dart away from that area, though too fast for him to determine what exactly they were. "Must be a fish or the like. Perhaps an eel?" He leaned in a bit closer to look, now less than a yard away from the site.

Without warning, something burst out of the water. Somewhat round-ish in shape, Melanchthon could see that it was some kind of fish, but no further details - it came straight out of the water aiming for him. Thankfully, Treecko was faster in reaction, and pointed his two hands towards the incoming creature. "Tree-cko, Tree!" He cried, as red beams shot out from his arms, hitting the fish in midair and sending it flying back into the water. Small red particles from the beam levitated back towards Treecko, mending some of his wounds, but Melanchthon took no notice of that at the moment; the creature was now swimming with part of its body above the water, staring at Treecko fiercely.

The Pokedex in Melanchthon's hands snapped open. "Carvanha, the Savage Pokemon. They swarm any foe that invades their territory. Their sharp fangs can tear out boat hulls."

"Carvanha! Car!" The savage Pokemon confirmed what the Pokedex stated, snapping ferociously in Treecko's direction. As it splashed in the water, spraying everything around it, Treecko leaped off of Melanchthon's shoulder with a serious expression.

"Treecko! What are you doing?" Melanchthon asked, though he already knew; Treecko was fully intending to battle against the Carvanha. "Treecko, do no - you have not the resources to win, Treecko!" He called out in caution, though Treecko did not even turn back; he was already watching the Carvanha, awaiting its next move.

And move, it did. Leaping out of the water, the wild Carvahna shot towards Treecko with open jaws, and a dark aura momentarily surrounded it in the form of fangs; the Carvahna bit down in mid-air, but the dark aura shot forth and bit down on Treecko, who was injured by the bite, though he somehow managed to stand his ground. "Tree-cko!" He shrilled, as the Carvahna bounced off the grounds of the river banks and with a splash returned to its original location.

"You cannot- you will not win an encounter like this, young one. Look at your health!" Melanchthon said, looking down at the Pokedex, which by now had shifted to display Treecko's stats. "You cannot survive another- eh?'

There appeared to be an anomaly in the Pokedex's display. The health bar of Treecko was in almost the exact same length as it was after Treecko's fight with Yanma; But wait. Didn't that Carvanha just- this makes no sense. It was a bit lower than half right after Yanma's fight, and now it's still like this? But that bite - how could it do so little damage?" He held up the Pokedex, inspecting it from multiple angles. "Is this thing defective?"

No, it wasn't, and it proved it by updating itself constantly. "Treeee-cko!" Treecko cried, as it rose its arms again, hands glowing once more; two red beams fired once more, striking the Carvanha and stunning it momentarily as it damaged it and drained health. As the red particles from the beams returned to Treecko once more, Melanchthon noticed that the health bar shown on Treecko was actually going back up, refilling itself, partially.

"What is this? You...you have a healing move, Treecko?" Melanchthon asked, and the Pokedex answered for the occupied Pokemon.

"Absorb: A nutrient-draining attack. The user’s HP is restored by half the damage taken by the target."

"That...explains much!" Melanchthon exclaimed, looking back up; the wild Carvanha was glaring at Treecko now, with its eyes flashing bright red for a few moments. "I feel I've seen that before...wait a moment. I used absorb in the battle against Yanma. Why didn't it heal anything?"

"Grass-Type move effectiveness to Bug and Flying-Type Pokemon: One-Fourth effectiveness. Grass-Type move effectiveness to Water and Dark-Type Pokemon: Two times effectiveness."

"Ahhhh, I see now." Melanchthon looked back up at Treecko, who was already preparing another Absorb. "Well then, go for it, Treecko! You must have known your own potential far better than I did; you spent time in the lab of that Professor Marsh, after all, did you not?" Treecko merely nodded, as he used Absorb once more, healing itself just enough to return exactly to his post-Yanma battle condition.

The combination of Leer and Bite, though, was something neither should have underestimated. As the wild Carvanha leaped up once more, jaws chomping, it struck Treecko powerfully enough to send him flying back, rolling on the ground before it picked itself back up. The Pokedex beeped, showing Treecko at dangerously low levels of health. "Treecko..."

"Tree, Tree!" Treecko grunted, rising back on his feet. For reasons unknown to Melanchthon, Treecko had a grin on his face.

"Treecko, why not allow Yanma to continue this? You are-" Melanchthon began, interrupted almost immediately.

"Tree, Tree-cko!" As Melanchthon looked on with worry, Treecko had already prepared to use Absorb once more.

"Treecko, do not be so reckless!" The old man called out, though Treecko ran forward and fired the red beams once more.

"Tree-cko, Tree!" As the red beams struck the wild Carvanha, Melanchthon suddenly saw the Carvanha flip over; its eyes, normally fierce, were replaced with a swirling motion - in other words, it had just been knocked unconscious, and just in time too. Treecko's health was still dangerously low, and Treecko himself barely rose his arms in victory before falling to his knees.

Melanchthon rushed towards Treecko as fast as he could, bending down as he picked his Pokemon up and held him tightly within his arms. "You've surprised me many times today, young one," the old man gently whispered. "You've done far better than I could have predicted. I was right, was I not? Someone of your personality would come in handy, you naughty little tyke." He chuckled in relief, as Treecko shrilled sharply in response.

"Now, no more of this - we are heading to the nearest Pokemon Center, and no ands, ifs, or buts." Melanchthon said, as he stood back up. Turning over his shoulder, he called out to Yanma. "You as well; we'll get the both of you healed up."

Yanma cheerfully buzzed. "Yan~ Yan~" She cried, as she began to fly after Melanchthon - who, surprisingly, was now jogging towards the fastest route to Herbalife City.

"Come along now, Yanma! Time is of the essence!"

"Yan~"

RP Notes

-I must say, you certainly know how to describe your areas...
-"Damn PokeDex. Not good enough to fit mah old age."
-This is probably the funniest [and probably most awkward] way to fight: Trial and Error. Oh man, old people sometimes fail to amuse me.
-This is definitely a first! A failed wild Pokemon! I shall now title you as: "First Ever Failure to Catch Pokemon"
-Heh, old man's cluelessness kind of reminds me of my grandparents......well, I suppose your character doesn't loudly slurp on their food though...
-I can just imagine this in Carvahna's Encounter:
-Aw yea, spam dat Absorb to no end...
-Old man. Too good. OP. Perfect target for underestimation. Yeah, get ready to pwn.
-And you leave dumbily happily ever after. Yay~

Topic Record

-You failed an attempt to catch Yanma! (-1 PokeBall)
-You caught a Level 4 Yanma! (-1 PokeBall)
-Treecko defeated a Level 4 Carvanha! (+4EXP to Treecko)
-Your Pokemon are dangerously low in health. It is best if you get to a Pokemon Center as fast as possible.
