Trainer Profile
Character Name: Zaiaku Maulstone Nickname: Zai Gender: Male Age: 17 Trainer Class: Pokémon Trainer
Height: 5'10" Weight: 157lbs Hair Color & Style: White, somewhat spiked hair. His hair is layered and while appears to be held together by a cream or gel meant to held hair together it is actually soft and free; simply appears to be untamed. Then length of his hair reaches down to just beyond his shoulder length.Eye color Having a rather slight Asian outlook as far as how his eyes are shaped, symbolizing a slight trace of Korean in his blood. His eyes are perhaps one of his most defining features, which are unnervingly sharp and piercing much like some of the families in Godai who have a psychic background. This perhaps stems from his eye color, which is a shade of blue that is a little light and pale, seeming somewhat unnatural and yet captivating; similar to being afraid of something you cannot look away. His eyes seem harden and icy, due to his childhood of somewhat anti-socialness, dealing with bullies at school, workaholics for parents leading to him having to grow up and take care of himself, his only friend later on being Xyno. Regardless of his facial expression, his eyes seem to not change very much thus maintaining the same piercing look Clothing/Accessories Zaiaku's clothing is rather different from the average trainer, though for him it is most comfortable and suited to his nature. Upon first glance one might say it looks similar to a uniform of some sort, when in reality it is simply a combination of clothing selected and chosen for his preference. While this is generally his normal clothing of choice, he does have multiple attires suiting different occasions, making it too much to specify in detail and best to observe the image for a general idea. Regardless of his choice of attire several items remain consistent throughout his outfit, such as his poke'balls, a poke'dex, an Xtransceiver, and a back pack. Poke'balls are strapped onto the left side of his belt. His poke'dex is kept in a hidden pocket within his jacket on the right side. The poke'dex has a single strap which connects itself to the jacket for safety measures as well as in the event should Zai somehow manages to forget it. His Xtransceiver is worn around his right wrist and the volume is either kept low or on vibrate as he believes the noise the ringtones make will more then likely scare away other pokemon out in the wild. And finally, the source of which carries the majority of his items, utensils and etc would be his back pack. Hating having the use of both straps, his back pack only has a single strap which he wears over his left arm.
General Appearance Almost to the dot, Zaiaku mirrors the very image of himself provided. As far as physical depiction goes, he is more so the lean muscular type due to his frequent physical activities he undergoes on a day to day basis around his hometown Vertosheer. With being outside so much, he has something of a tan to where he isn't necessarily white but one cannot say he is light brown either. More so something between if it was possible. He generally takes a great deal of care of his personal hygiene which can be noted by his very scent, as well as his teeth, skin etc. The picture featured here is rather his most common and favorite outfit, due to the usual trench-coat like appearance and one of his favorite colors being the darkest; black. This very image was infact the same one in which was taken for identification purposes, and one he prefers to maintain whenever future photos are required for various purposes such as other licenses and eventually the Pokemon League. As a result, it is not uncommon to see him in this attire. More so, this is rather a signature and his most recognizable clothing.
As the image shows, Zaiaku's choice of clothing is rather different then what most would go with as a traveling trainer. His taste is revealed as to be dark but somewhat classy while maintaining a style of what some consider to be "proper and uniformed" while to others "badass" and even some consider it to be "scary". Regardless of this classifications he allows his personality to reflect upon this. His coat reaches down to roughly his calves, his sleeves reach just a hair beyond his wrists. His gloves are not particularly tight, but rather snug and fitted for his hands revealing just an inch and one thirds of his fingers while his knuckles are exposed. His undershirt which alternates between long sleeve and short sleeve is snug which in turn reveals a bit of definition of his figure while still having some air breathing space between. His pants are also snug, but more so loose around the knees and down for flexibility as well as comfortbility. What isn't shown on the image is a few items, one such is being a white, gold ring worn on his right ring finger indicating his graduation as well as his accomplishment back in his school. In the center is a single gem stone which is blood red in appearance, being the ruby stone which is also his birth stone. Around his neck is a necklace, which is a link of silver chains.

Hometown: Vertosheer Town; East Godai
Personality Zai is a calm and somewhat quiet individual. Usually not the type to strike up a conversation unless someone speaks to him first, he typically watches from afar and observes others. Even when he is under stress, his ability to remain calm is relatively unnerving as he is quick to analyze the severity of the situation at hand, and then deduce the quickest and most effective way to solve or bypass obstacles. From his behavior he quickly over the years became particularly skilled at picking up behaviors of others and sees these things as if a pattern. Nevertheless in spite of his seemingly anti-social behavior, he does enjoy small talk with any friends he manages to make and holds a great deal of care and love towards his family and friends, and most certainly his pokemon. Threats or harm upon them easily makes him defensive, and more then ready to put his life in front of them if it means protecting his pokemon as well as family/friends. In battle, Zaiaku battles with a combination of brutality and intelligence. Using various methods such as weakening or hindering his targets to make an opening to dish out heavy damage. Rather then just rushing in recklessly, even if he has the type advantage or terrain, he prefers to take his time as to wear out his foes while inflicting damage little at a time until an opening presents itself. This method is so he not only will learn about what his opponent is about but each of their pokemon for future references. Not to mention giving his pokemon time to study various pokemon they may come against as well as learning more about themselves. To Zaiaku, battle is more then simply pokemon battling against each other. Rather, it is about pokemon learning about themselves as well as their trainers and vise versa; to test out their capabilities to the fullest. Thus, they might become adaptable to situations they otherwise would either be uncomfortable or hindered in and excel. History Born in Vertosheer Town, Zaiaku grew up around the seemingly life-threatening cliffs that the town gains it's reputation of from tourists, becoming used to heights and the danger of falling where he can easily navigate his way through the town. As a young boy he would often roam around town, natural curiosity taking over the child but he would never get into trouble; he only would watch from afar as if learning everything there is to learn. His favorite area to hang around was the Ferry Port which connected Vertosheer and Sharsaber, being his town's primary source of income.
Due to the economy, his parents were frequently out and about with their jobs that consumed much of their time from being home. His father being a sailor aboard the ferry while his mother ran a pokemon daycare, her profession being that of a pokemon breeder. Preferring to be working with pokemon than the bustling life of people coming to and fro like the currents of the ocean, Zai took up to taking care of pokemon along with his mother. During times where he is not in school or on one of his many daily strolls of the town, he learned the ways of taking care of pokemon, how to ensure they are healthy, different berries and vitamins to promote their bodily functions and structure. From their location on Godai, he frequently saw water, ground, rock, and electric pokemon as their environment was neighboring their own. Not to mention various types of bug and grass pokemon residing within the forest known as Rottshade Woods. It was during this time he wished he could have a pokemon of his own, not necessarily as a trainer but rather a friend. His first friend as he wasn't very social and this caused him to be looked down upon by his peers in school; picking on him and calling him weird for how he was. The term "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt" truly became a part of his childhood during these years as he was called many names, though none took it upon themselves to get physical as Zaiaku was in good physical shape due to his continuous trips throughout the town and nearby areas such as the Rottshade Woods and the small power plant along the shore.
When he became around ten years of age, he was placed in a grade higher then what was considered normal for his age due to his advanced intellect which derived from his constant studying as well as his knowledge of pokemon he acquired from his mother. This only caused his relations with his peers to worsen, believing he was nothing more but a freak or a "nerd" despite his attire and taste was quite opposite of the norm for nerds. During one of his trips along the beach shores he came upon a small tide, a small pool of water surrounded by rocks in which small life forms are frequently found whenever the tide is low. To his surprise, there was but a single pokemon beneath the clear surface; a little pokemon which was considered uncommon but exclusively known as Tynamo. Initially, he was curious never seeing one up close and hopped upon the rocks to get a closer look. It appeared the pokemon was slightly injured along the fins where it looked as if it substained damage from a recent fight against another pokemon. Naturally, the pokemon backed up against one of the rocks, small sparks emitting from it's body as it was frightened of further attack to which halted the boy's movements towards the little electrical being. He felt bad and wished to help it, but he had no potions on him as he was not a trainer. But, perhaps since it was trapped maybe it was hungry? Better then nothing, the boy reached into his backpack and pulled out a small sandwich and broke off a tiny piece, slowly placing it on the surface of the water and retreated his hand. "Go on, I won't harm you" He said softly, knowing the pokemon would know he was trying to communicate with it. Tynamo only looked cautiously with a certain expression only readable by the eyes when he slowly approached the piece floating about, and took a nibble. What seemed like a few minutes of anticipation the little pokemon ferociously devoured the piece; clarifying it's hunger before retreating back to it's corner in the low tide pool. A rare smile formed over Zai's lips before placing another piece in the water, watching Tynamo eat what was leftovers of his lunch. Up until sunset the boy just stayed by the rocks, watching and feeding Tynamo; speaking to the pokemon even as if they were having a conversation. When it got too late, he even said goodbye and told him he would be back the next day. Same time after school, Zaiaku returned to the pool of water after helping his mother and; to his surprise; he found Tynamo still there. This would go on for several days, up to the point where both expected the other to show up as Zai would find the little pokemon awaiting for him not just in low tides, but in other areas along the beach once it became healthy enough.
It became where Zaiaku took Tynamo home, utilizing it's small size to their advantage and concealing it's presence by the pokemon hiding within his pockets. During breakfast, lunch and even dinner Zai would sneak morsels to the pokemon rather then pokemon food so his parents would know. Even when he went to school Tynamo was able to go with him, concealing itself within his clothes. This went on for a couple of months up until one day a couple of kids were picking on Zai, causing Tynamo to become protective and come out of his clothes, delivering a shock to the kids in retaliation. Thus he was sent home for 'using a pokemon to attack other students' despite this not being the truth where his mother awaited. At first, Zai thought he was going to be grounded or punished in some way, shape or form but instead of what was anticipated he received a compliment, something both himself and Tynamo was happy about. Being allowed to officially keep Tynamo, Zaiaku began feeding him pokemon food and put forth what he learned from his mother to the test. Despite his father's protest, they knew the bond between their son and the pokemon; the two becoming inseparable. Sleep, eat, bath; they essentially did everything together.
Rather then taking the usual course a lot of young men and women of being a pokemon trainer, Zai remained behind to finish his schooling and furthering his education from his mother. Over the years he quickly climbed the academic ranks and even received offers to join academies where young, brilliant minds congregate to become pokemon professors. But turned down the offers, as he preferred to stay home and become a pokemon trainer and maybe one day even a breeder renowned world wide. With Tynamo by his side, he in a sense became more social making a little bit of friends before graduation; which in turn the pokemon took on his personality becoming almost exactly like Zaiaku. On his seventeenth birthday, he received what would be the most important gift he could ever receive, a poke'ball for Tynamo. It was time for him to take on the world of pokemon as a trainer. Looking at Tynamo, receiving a similar look from the pokemon which made eye contact already knowing what the other was thinking. Within a moment of a throw, a flash of light and the ding of a poke'ball Tynamo was officially Zaiaku's first pokemon.
Renaming Tynamo, Xyno, both himself and his pokemon set out to forge their own story. To expand his knowledge on both pokemon and the world alike, he sets out to not only become one of the most powerful trainers in the world, but perhaps one day be a member of the elite four. Inventory

 Tynamo
Captured at Level 5 in Vertosheer Town
Nickname: Xyno Gender: Male Height: 0'8" Weight: .7lbs
Personality Much like his trainer, Xyno is rather serious and stern. After being around Zaiaku for several years since their encounter by the shores off of Vertosheer, Xyno had picked up on his trainer's personality and traits. Calculating and observant, typically doesn't portray affection towards others outside of his trainer and fellow allies. The bond between Zai and himself is inseparable, to the point where they have an understanding of each other and essentially know what the other is thinking based off of body language. Xyno does have a sense of honor though, and will not strike a downed opponent so long as they prove incapable of continuing a fight unless commanded otherwise. Xyno is fiercely loyal to Zaiaku and thus very protective of him; becoming enraged when another poses a threat to him and more then willing to attack. Xyno also has a small display of friendliness to other pokemon who assist him and his trainer out, as shown when a gastly assisted them through Rottshade Woods. As for other trainer's pokemon and humans it takes some time before he warms up to them.
History Xyno was first found when he was washed up into a low-tide pool, injured from a clash between himself and another wild aquatic pokemon of unknown origin. Trapped there, the pokemon was slowly getting hungry while too weak to search on his own. It was around then Zaiaku was wondering the beach after school and stumbled upon him. The human offered the pokemon a berry, in which Xyno was at first unsure but acted upon instinct before anything else, quickly devouring the berry to sedate his ravenous hunger. Becoming something like a schedule, every day after school Zai visited him, feeding Tynamo with leftovers of his school lunch and spent hours talking to the pokemon while he recovered. Overtime, Xyno grew attached and began accompanying him everywhere by hiding himself within his clothing. Seven years later, they begun on their pokemon journey; traveling out to the Rottshade Woods. Nickname: Scarlet Gender: Female Height: 2'0" Weight: 23.8lbs
Personality Scarlet has a fierce and prideful personality. Prior to her joining Zaiaku's team, she was a loner without a pack; believing herself too strong for such things and as a result roamed the forest on her own, honing her skills as a huntress. In battle she is fierce and persistent, taking advantage of openings to dish out the heaviest damage. When Zaiaku proved his worth and gained her respect, she is rather fond of her new 'pack', thus gradually becoming more protective and loyal to her new trainer. She wouldn't have joined him should it was any different.
