Ok, we all know the basic point of the Team RPG: Get as many shadow Pokemon as we can and be the winner. However, there's a catch: once you have a shadow Pokemon, you risk losing it forever. Once everyone found this out, everyone stopped shadowfying Pokemon. Now, the Team RPG is about who is the strongest, which would be kinda cool if we could conquer other teams ala Napoleon (the captured team could hold a rebellion.) But alas, this would also be unfair in many respects, so that's a no-no. As a result, now it's basically a test of strength, which is kinda. . .boring. But not anymore. Oh no. Celebi and I talked, and we came up with a concept that should make the Team RPG not only more active, but more fun as well. In addition, there is also a basic point, something the older RPG was lacking. This, my friends, is the new Team RPG: Everyone loves the Underground in D/P. I know I do. I used to spend hours down there, just digging up fossils and other nifty things. And then I brought a buddy underground with me, and I learned that there was more than just digging for gems (which I found annoying. Man, I hated gems.) involved when playing underground. In the underground, there is also a basic "capture the flag" theme going on. If you capture enough people's flags, you get really nice stuff to put in your underground base. Because I so loved playing "capture the flag" (and because the Team RPG was becoming rather inactive and dull), Celebi and I decided to make the Team RPG more like "Capture the Flag" underground, but with a twist. For one thing, Celebi decided they wouldn't be flags. That would be kinda stupid. They will be orbs. All of the team leaders have an orb except for the leader of the Police Force. Each team only has ONE orb, as opposed to the many flags underground. The mission would be to collect all six orbs while defending the team's orb. In order to capture an orb, you have to defete the leader of a team. Be careful! Each leader will be heavily guarded by the team's members. If your team has no orb, it cannot attack any team but the team that has their orb. There will still be shadow Pokemon, but that will not be the main focus in this RPG. The Police Force has a rather special job in this new envisionment. They are to make sure that each orb goes with it's corresponding team. If Team Galatic steals Team Magma's orb, Galatic is an enemy of the Police Force. If, however, Team Twilight's orb is stolen by Team Aqua, then the Police Force would be Team Twilight's alley. I know what you're thinking: How do I know which orb belongs to which team? The answer is quite simple: Each orb is given a name. Also, each orb boosts certain Pokemon attacks. These are the names of the orbs and their properties: Orb of Darkness (Twilight): Boosts ghost and dark types Orb of Light: (Dawn): Boosts electric and grass Orb of Destruction (Rocket): Boosts rock and flying Orb of Healing (Aqua): Boosts water and ice Orb of Wrath (Magma): Boosts fire and ground Dimensional Orb (Galatic): Boosts psychic and normal Any questions? Ask me or Celebi in this thread. in other words, if your team is inactive, this is bad news. Your orb could be captured at any time, so start training! One more thing: to be fair, these new rules don't go into effect until construction on Team Twilight is completed. |

I love it! You guys came up with the best idea ever!! I have a question though, if you steal another team's orb, do they become your slaves? :ph43r: That...would...ROCK!! |

No. If, for instance, Team Aqua got their orb stolen by Team Rocket, then Team Aqua would have to battle me to get it back, maybe with the help of the Police Force. Not that you'd win, though. |

Quite the... example. <-< But that's kinda dumb if the only point for the orbs is for you to want them. There needs to be a reason that you want them. If my computer was strictly a buisness computer and it only had Microsoft Office installed with no internet connection or games, I wouldn't care if somebody took it. But if it was like it is now, and it has good games and internet and everything, I would care a lot. So we need a reason to want our orbs, not just because they are useful. |

I totally agree with cedar. If their is no point or reward in getting another persons orb then whats the point. Also, it woiuldnt matter a whole lot for the person who lost theirs either. They would just get it back. |
