Ah, if thats a standard post to someone who doesnt know the rules, then you need to fix your problem. A much more inviting post would be like this: "Please note our Rules section as Double posting is against one of our rules. I know you are a new person to the forum, however, it would be better for all of us if you read over the rules and understood them before you began posting against them on accident." Your way is just an invitation for pissing off new people, making them feel as if they are about to break more rules and be banned before they can even RP. Its intimidating and I am sure you dont want people to feel afraid to Join the site. Dont tell someone what they should or shouldnt do, guide them. Alienation is a *****.

If a site set it up right, double posts wouldnt add anything to post count :P Also....a welcome me section wouldnt add post count either......then again, I am from RPs that allow you stronger things as your post count increases. shrugs
