I'm sorry for my huge lack of activity on Pokémon Meadow and have a sad fact to announce. Well, it may already be aware of the people here but I no longer have much interest in Pokémon Meadow. With this I don't say you have to leave or quit PM, there are still a few people here that take care of it. Co-Owners still does have about the same powers as myself on Pokémon Meadow, so me leaving wont prevent you from enjoying this site. I still will look over the site now and then as normally but don't expect me to care too much about it anymore. It was fun while it lasted. (Also I will still upload 5th Gen Mons when they got their english names to the site... and next gens... I just like uploading them for some reason.) |

Might I suggest you give it away to the Co-Owners and see what they want to do with it. I mean, if you don't have the time or motivation for the forum, perhaps they do, and it would be a shame to see the forum disappear from existence. |

I'm for Fanta's suggestion. Though, I would also like to add that Celebi could become a Member Emeritus (Emeritus: Retired but retaining an honorary title corresponding to that held immediately before retirement.) Though, I suppose Celebi is the only one that can ever physically be the one and only master Owner due to how all that works on the Admin CP and it would be very bad if she was no longer Owner because there are certain things that ONLY the Owner can do, so that wouldn't be completely possible. Also, go so far as to say that Pokémon Meadow is dead, Empty Tree. There are still those that care about this site and will keep it active. I also just recently joined two younger Pokémon RPGs that I plan on advertising PM on once I gain the ability to do so. |

aw, celebi's sortaish leaving D: i'm back now. i've been busy with college now. i think it would be cool to try and get this site active again! is there anything i could help with? i don't mind advertising. |

Well, as I've always said. This site is as dead as you want it to be. =) I'm still here but at the same time not. And for your questions about giving up ownership... I don't trust ANYONE enough to do it and knowing myself, getting rid of my admin powers would be annoying in the long-run in case I decide I want to return and do my stuffs again. |

I guess some of us foresaw this, and it's sad that you've lost enough interest in Pokemon Meadow to only visit it from time to time. As the only Co-Owner of this site, I will try to be more active and fix what stuff has to be done. Though I can't do everything on my own, lol. And Celebi, I don't recall anyone wanting Pokemon Meadow dead. Can you demonstrate it, please? I believe the inactivity on this site is caused by a lack of motivation or some similar reason. I have to say that I'm both shocked and hurt that you don't trust anyone enough to pass over your ownership, if you're saying that you've lost interest in the site, even though we don't even know when you'll return and no one is really eager to wait if it's a long time, especially when the site is in this delicate condition that it's ALMOST dead. Celebi, I've helped with so much for you, Pokemon Meadow and its members. I did it for you others. Have I done all of this for nothing? |

Okay, this might sound harsh, but it is the truth:
It actually changes the site dramatically. We're partway through a revamp and if you're going to disappear, then we can only update a portion of the RP. Heck, I'm supposed to be an Admin and even I'm not exactly sure how the 'half-new' RP works. It's like giving a toddler half a pair of scissors, setting them in the woods, and expecting them to know how to survive. It just doesn't work like that.
No, the site is as active as its leader(s). If the leader(s) don't show motivation for the site, neither will the members. This is the number one cause for forum death and it's so darn obvious to see that it hurts my head trying to work out why so many Admins can't see it.
That's more than a belief, that is the exact reason. I mean, considering what I've personally seen over the last few months, I get the feeling you won't ever come back to full activity, so it seems as if there are two clear options: - You staying as leader, and with both your lack of interest and time, the forum will (to put it bluntly) die. - You giving it up to somebody else who has the motivation and time, hope for some kind of miracle the forum is resurrected. Do we want you to no longer be our leader? Of course not, we love you, but in all honesty, if the choices are as above, then I'd always go for the second option, because it's the only one which seems to allow the forum to come back.
So you would rather come back to see all your "stuffs" gone because the forum died? Really, if you wanted to come back to your Admin position again, I don't think any of the Admins here are greedy enough to say, "Lolno, you're no longer Admin so you can't be Admin anymore." As for the 'trust' thing, it's obvious that a new Admin will never run the site quite the way you would, because hey, we're all individuals. Still, does that mean a new Admin wouldn't be able to run it well? Of course not. :/ Most of the Admins here have had their roles for, well, years and have a fair idea of how things go down here. I think it would ignorant to think that any of them would be incapable of running things, whether the time be temporary or indefinitely.
I also have a similar feeling. |

Just adding on to what DC and fanta have mentioned above. Yeah we already knew you had lost interest and faith in Pokemon Meadow for quite some time, you don't have to apologize about it. It was actually a matter of fact of you admitting it. Now that you did, I was actually looking forward that you'd be wise enough to pass your Ownership to DC (who cares a lot about PM) and retire or perhaps still visit the Forums now and then, still in tact about its growth and whatnot. But, I was wrong. What exactly is there on this site for us to enjoy exactly? It's still through the so called Revamp Stage and we can't even make any final decisions without your approval. So yes, it makes a huge difference when you actually disappear. Also, how perfectly sure are you to say that WE wanted the site dead? I don't think the Staff or the Members themselves should be blamed for it. Yeah I agree some of them actually left, but there were those who actually bothered to remain and tried to keep things alive here. Since you've already lost interest over Pokemon Meadow in all, might I also ask what 'stuffs' do you actually plan on doing other than uploading the new sprites? What actually bothers me in entirety is you not trusting your own Staff. Ones whom you have been extremely working close with by the way, such as fanta, ML and especially Dark Charizard (who has been a Co Owner as far as I can remember). Keep in mind that during your absence, these people were the ones who kept your site together and did not run away or abandon it like a couple of Members/others did. -AG |
