It's time we put this long lived rivalry to an end! It's an epic conclusion; Mew versus Mewtwo. Both of these Pokémon will be going all out on each other, and will not stop until the other has been defeated and they have been proven victorious. Vote on the poll, and then post below - telling us who you voted and why! |

Definitely Mewtwo, I'd say. He's a clone, and I don't see why his creators would make him weaker than the original. Of course, you never really get to see the full extent of Mew's powers in any of the movies, so it could very well be much stronger than Mewtwo (as evident by the first movie, where Mew was pretty much teasing Mewtwo throughout the whole fight), but I don't think it's that likely. So yeah, I think Mewtwo would win. Shouldn't you be asleep? xD |

FOREVER MEW. Mewtwo is too cocky, and that will be the death of him. |

I was surprised that Mew was winning 3-1(WHERE'S THESE EXPLANATIONS?!), because I really thought Mewtwo would win. xD. Anyway, I voted Mewtwo as I believe the fact that he is a clone of Mew instantly makes him stronger. After all, just as Blackfish said, who makes a clone that is weaker than the original? |

I vote Mew, because even though Mewtwo is a clone, it cannot learn all TM and tutor moves, which Mew can, and I find that the original is always better, so Mew can easily beat Mewtwo. |

Just because the creators might have wanted mewtwo to be better doesn't mean they succeeded. Just look at the difference in their appearance. It was most definitely not a success. That or they wanted to Navarre a pokemon human hybrid. |

My explanation of Mew - Mew is the origin pokemon, created by Arceus to create more pokemon. It succeeded, as there are now over 600 pokemon roaming the world (with more coming). Mewtwo was a clone of Mew, created to try to copy Mew's power. In the show, we've seen Mewtwo "create" pokemon, but he could only do it through cloning them. Although the improvements are better, and the pokemon are stronger, they are still only clones. Mew was created by - and uses - a divine force. Mewtwo was created by - and uses - logic and reasoning. Although logic and reasoning are powerful for improvement, they cannot create, and mewtwo therefor cannot create. All of Mewtwo's power is derived on things he sees, which opens him quite a bit up to surprises (such as the surprise of the emotional power of pokemon). The reason Mew wins is simple. It will always have the element of surprise. Mew can, at any instant, simply create a pokemon to defeat Mewtwo. It knows all moves, including the ability to transform, and almost took Mewtwo down without even trying (it was playing with a ball the entire time). If Mew got serious, Mewtwo would lose. TL;DR - Mew |

That would be true, if any of that was actually canon. In my analysis I didn't assume anything, drawing my conclusion simply from what we actually know - I could be wrong, but has much of Mew's story really been revealed at all? It seems obvious it's very powerful, but I don't really think we can determine it's stronger than Mewtwo just because it "probably" has godlike power. |

It...it is canon. From Bulbapedia - Mew's main abilities include turning invisible at will, creating force-fields and psychic energy, and being able to Transform into any type of Pokémon. Mew is capable of wielding every type of attack possible. Similarly, Mew has the capability of using any type of telekinetic ability. It also has the ability to float in mid-air, similarly to Celebi, Jirachi, and Victini. Mew has been known to be capable of surviving underwater as well. |

How is that "divine force"? Mewtwo is capable of using psychic energy and force fields, too. I might just be missing something very obvious here. |

FEATURED TRAINER: Draco Yaiba
Current Progress:Draco Yaiba has had a great start to his adventure in the Kyojo Region. He managed to defeat Professor Spruce and his Treecko with a reasonable amount of ease, and journeyed to Ragno Path. Currently, he's facing formidable wild Pokémon; a Spinarak and a Kricketot, with a fellow trainer's Sewaddle to assist him in defeating said wild Pokémon.
Pokémon: At the moment, Draco only owns two Pokémon. A Charmander, by the name of Char, and a Mudkip by the name of Swamp. Char proved to be a highly effective choice of a starter Pokémon as it managed to take out the Professor's Treecko in a well-fought battle. Swamp, however, hasn't had the chance to shine, yet, until now. Swamp is currently facing off, alongside the Sewaddle, against the previously mentioned wild Spinarak and wild Kricketot.
