i want to know EXACTLY what people consider to be nooby tactics on netbattle.

i say this because of a problem earlier, caused when i used the move attract.

as far as i see attract isn't that abd, it has same backfire rate as confusion to my knowledge, and is great for psuedophasing. also, it can't be considered to powerful in my opinion, because althopugh you cant snap out of it, switching works, and you need to be opposite genders for it to work at all anyway.

any opinions on this are welcome :) cos i is now a n00b for using it. innit.

Innit. nice one. Well, I don't think attract is n00by, after all, you have to be the opposite gender for it to work. Most people know this when using attract so change the gender of attracting pokemon from the default male to female. Anyone with a bit of common sense will make a team with 4 females/2 males or a couple of genderless pokemon to counter this. It's really not that big deal. If you get caught by it, it's your own problem :)

attract = n00by imo as you don't snap out of it like confusion

[18:01] <sqeak> Does the hoody say "Dick Vet" on it?
[18:01] <Kestral> I'm buying a Black Dick Vet one

Paul FTW! *high5*

But with attract you don't hurt yourself, whereas you can with confusion, ergo, it seems fair not to snap out of attract

AJ's question was what is 'considered' nooby.
i think attract isn't too bad, (except on your last pokemon) , but people consider it to be nooby.

I want to play a game.

For some reason Attract seems to work more for the player using it rather than the pokemon under the effects of it, it's really annoying.

I myself do find attract rather nooby, just stick with thunderwave or confuse ray...

Nah, don't worry about it Steve. You may not be getting the experience in the standard metagames of pokemon that'll save your ass in tournaments, but you never know, being able to battle with Ubers might just help you out in the random tourney :)

Attract = n00by, unless I'm the one using it. :P Nah, seriously it's only DT and OHKO moves that are n00bish in my point of view.

The Deva Path

i class nub tactics being things like minimize, double team ect
i dont mind mud slap and stuff cause you can switch out of that and pwn anyways >_>. hyper beam on every poke would also be a downside. unathordox tactics/ev's

Example: snorlax with speed ev's :/ or stardard ev set without modifications

also quick claw brightpowder
items like that.

and people who go
CH!!! to hope for them selves being saved in a match.
name changed from Pein

People with a team of 6 ubers and a description saying "No Noobs".

Generally I detest the use of standards. A little variation makes for a good game in my opinion. Tauros, Skarmbliss, Aerodactyl, Alakazam, Salamence... They annoy me.
I also have a hatred of BP-ing Ninjask teams.

Perhaps that's why I like UU/NU and mono teams so much...
