japans collusseum bonus disc came with a celebi, there has been a celebi event in japan and USA last generation, and contrary to popular opinion, there HAS been a celebi event in the UK, back in the GSC days. i know a guy who went, and still has his celebi. it was ran by the nintendo magazine of the time, rather than nintendo themselves. |

to be honest nintendo should just do a wifi event like there is on animal crossing. solves aload of stuff that way. because for people like me who work through the week and weekends will never be able to collect them. this is also the reason i aint entering the official tournements anymore... |

then i shall correct my prior statement to celebi was very difficult for the mainstream to obtain in any form. So it'd be nice for it to be catchable like mew was in emerald! |

Well, it's been confirmed that the announcement will indeed be for Pokémon Gold & Silver remakes. The new names will be (for some reason) Pokémon Heart Gold and Pokémon Soul Silver. At least the Japanese versions will be, anyway:

So, what do you want to see from the remakes? Although a small matter, I really want to see a Selfdestruct Move Tutor somewhere (probably in Kanto). I want them to include Mewtwo, keep a Snorlax, and add Wailord in the Kanto region somewhere.. which gives reason for a Selfdestruct Tutor which is currently only available in Pokémon XD. It's only really useful on those three Pokémon. Battle Tower - just do it. |

They shouldn't cut anything out, they should be adding things. I don't see how they can anyway. The pokemon league was in Kanto, after all. And Heart Gold is a stupid name. Soul Silver's ok though. I also like Soul Silver's logo. Very Lugia. |

I personally just expect nintendo to do what they've recently enjoyed doing. New forms ftw! |

Other names I heard were Glittering Gold and Shining Silver or Dawn gold and Dusk silver. I'm quite fond of Glittering gold, here's hoping for a name change

Man, I remember getting Red Gyrados in Silver and thinking I was the shit. Totally unjustifed since EVERYBODY had one, but I was young and naive. And of course, since Waterfall is now attack based, I can use that HM on it without it being a total waste (there's no way I'm ever going to have the patience to try and get a decent competitive Red Gyrados so in game will have to do ;)) |
