Took what out of Platinum? As for importing...hmmm. I might not this time. There wasn't much of a delay between the EU and US release dates for Platinum so I'm hoping that will happen again this time. Here's hoping....

They disabled the slot machines in the Game Corner because of some new EU legislation to do with under age gambling (or something) |

Buying game in the EU/UK is frankly foolish, even now the BBFC is out of things. It's cheaper to import, you get the game earlier, and frequently US versions have things EU ones don't. Or they actually have perfectly viable games we don't. Like WarioWare Twisted, which we just got from Australia :D... |

Well, I had to go and check my son's copy of Platinum but you're right, the Game Corner should be just called 'Corner' under the Trades Description Act! Sheesh!!! What a completely idiotic state of affairs. Does this mean the Explosion TM is now not available in the game too? I would guess so which sucks bottom if you ask me. So does this mean that the Poker minigame in Mario DS should now be removed?! The only reason I was considering not importing was that I missed out on the Giratina figure that my son had when he pre-ordered Platinum. How old am I?! Don't answer that!!!! Thinking about it, pretty much any game could be used to gamble upon so does this spell the end for European games? Nanny state, anyone? Next thing you know they'll be saying our bananas are not curly enough....oo-er!

You can still get coins and buy prizes, you just have to press A on the machines and you find coins that people have left, you can do this every day I believe. |

Okay then, perhaps 'The Coin Corner' would be an appropriate title for the place instead. Not much of a game is it?! Lol!

Oh God I used to LOVE that game. Would play it for hours. Made thousands, both on SM64DS and NSMB. NSMB was better for minigames. I digress anyway . Personally I think they ought to get some corporate sponsorships in. Muller Fruit Corner anyone ?...

Well, they have to grow straighter bananas to help with packing so that they could get more into a container =/ [/off topic] Not that I actually play the slots that often but it would be nice not to have limit as to how many coins you can collect in 24 hours... |

A commercial for Heart Gold and Soul Silver has been released. http://www.pokemon.co.jp/special/hgss/special/movie.html Because it seems to stream in realtime and there's no Youtube version I can't go back and check some things (due to downloading elsewhere). But I think I saw Morty in there once. |

confirmation on red gyarados![]() The latest information from CoroCoro has become available, though it's possible that not all of this will be 100% correct. Raikou, Suicune, and Entei are 'run around' legendaries just as they were in the original games. Eusine, a character who only appeared in Cyrstal version, is stalking Suicune. Pokémon Gyms will have various 'traps'. Ho-oh is found in the Tin Tower, while Lugia is in Whirl Islands; they're both level 45. There are potentially new mini-games. The Red Gyarados is in Lake of Rage at level 30. The Kimono Girls are part of the storyline and you meet them many times. The level 1 Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina come with Metal Burst, Hydro Pump, and Shadow Sneak, respectively. Latias and Latios appear at level 30. Mewtwo is set to make an appearance. Lugia and Ho-oh are said to have a 'hidden ability'. |

Well Palkia sure got the short end of the stick there! Looking at title post, is it me does the male trainer look more immature. I know they're all supposed to be 10 or whatever but i recall he looked kinda cool in the originals EDIT: Footage from that crazy japanese pokemon sunday programme confirms the minigames...and extra confirms the red gyrados, not that needs it....but...y'know.....it does. Yeah, I said that a while back. Just look at the art, he looks like he's on sugar or something. It disappointed me. |

There is a comparison I've seen on 4chan which basically rubbishes the new guy and puts the old guy up on a huge pedestal. Does have a point though... |

Im interested to see how the story line pans out. If Eusine is around pestering Suicune, will the whole Clear Bell thing be included? - but saying that it is a run around monster, maybe they've omitted that. I read somewhere that in the coding for the original game, Entei was suppose to be getting a bit of a role in the game, but due to memory constraints, that got taken out - Maybe Entei will be linked to Ho-oh and Suicune with Lugia... |

Nah, you'll remember that Suicune was basically Ho-oh's favourite in crystal. The top dog as it were. Not to mention the fact that Lugia really has very little to do with the Legendary Dogs. And I'm not just refering to the anime here. Ho-oh and the Dogs have been repeatedly shown to have a connection. |

hmm.. thats true, since the legendary birds have already made an appearance in this generation, I doubt they'll turn up ala 'The Power of One'. Thinking about it, the 3 Regis' haven't made an appearance yet... |
