Allegra woke up early, dressed, and headed to her chicken coop to collect eggs. She had to make money somehow, and dancing didn't cut it. She had farmland to take care of, and it's not like she could hire anyone to do it for her. Allegra lifted her apron and began placing the chicken eggs in it, gently carrying them. She walked back to the house careful not to smash any of the eggs, and set them in a basket. Allegra had a decent amount of eggs, ranging from small to big. The basket was lined with white linen, and the eggs were set carefully into little pockets she made with the back of her hands.

She put on a simple bonnet, and left her house, walking towards town carrying her basket.

Chrissy was looking around in the store for something she wanted to buy with her allowance. She didn't want dolls or sewing supplies, she wanted guns and rope like her daddy.

Allegra arrived at the store and set her basket on the counter, catching the eye of the store owner. She noticed Chrissy, and the Sheriff, and smiled at Chrissy as she went running past. "Hello Chrissy."

"Well Allegra, back to sell me some more of your farm fresh eggs?" Will, the store owner asked as he walked up to the counter.

"Why of course. You're the only one I sell to." Allegra smiled. "So, how much for eighteen eggs?" She set the basket on the counter and uncovered them.

He examined the eggs. "These are decent sized, some are a bit small though.."

"I can't control what my hens lay Will. This is what I've got, and I'll have more for you in a couple days."

"I know," Will thought for a moment," how about .25 cents for all of them? That's more than fair."

Allegra smiled. "Sounds great." Will emptied the basket and handed it, and her money back to her. "Pleasure doing business with you Will, I'll see you on Saturday." Allegra turned away from the counter and made eye contact with the Sheriff. "Well hello Chris, how are you today?"

"Just fine." He leaned against the counter, "I lost a bet and Chrissy's buying herself something."

Chrissy turned around and smiled at her father, "He burned last night loaf of bread. I told him he was messing it up but he wouldn't listen to me."

"Just pick something out." he waved his hand at her, "How are your chickens doin'?"

"My chickens are doin' just fine, had a little trouble with coyotes about a week ago, but they only got one of my chickens." Allegra smiled at Chrissy. "She's lucky to have you as a father."

"I have no idea what I'm doing." He laughed, "I know how to bake bread better than I know how to raise a 13 year old girl." Christopher watched Chrissy look at the dresses.

Allegra laughed softly. "She's a sweet girl, but if you ever need help, let me know. Thirteen year old girls can be quite difficult, I should know.. I was one."

Ebony walked into the small store, yawning. Her black, typically tidy hair loose on her shoulders.

"Good morning Will. Would you...*yawn* pardon me, would you happen to have any eggs?" She asked.

A young boy ran into the store, "Sheriff a fight broke out on the jacobson's farm with their neighbors."

Christopher nodded, "Right I'll be right there. Chrissy stay out of trouble."

"Sure thing PA..." she smiled. He ran out to his horse taking off in the direction of trouble.

Chrissy put the fabric squares she was looking at, "You're hair isn't pulled back." She said to Ebony, "It should be pulled back."

"Believe me lassie I know." Ebony sighed. "Charlie goes and leave and a family of coyotes decide to make midnight dates with my chickens and sheep." She mumbled to herself.
