Hello Hello Hello Gents good to be back for the 06/07 season, I see there been a bit of activity on hetre during the summer, Dave "do it my way" Darlington looks like he has been setting the standards again. And Davie Wright Wright Wright is back on the seen too, should make for some good "debates". What does the season hold this year then, The Liberals sides look strong especially the 2nds The Stute could struggle this year in the billiards division, snooker should be a foregone conclusion with those players, the 2nds would shock the nation if they won 4 titles again this year and I must congratualte them for last years feat but I think they may be empty handed this year, Dave darlington had to do something with their handicaps. Whitefield first are my favourites for the Billiards title As for the competitions Butterworth - I predict Chris Heywood to retain the title Ind Billiards - Nick Heaton or Ronnies Love child Tommy Scratch Billiards - Gary "Magnum" Duncan Pairs - Brian Moxon and Dave Lonsdale to take it this year (if they enter), dark horse Nick Heaton and his partner Team Snooker Knockout - Stute 1st Team Billiards Knockout - Libs 1st I look forward to some banter this year good luck everyone - especially the Libs Avitavit avitavitavit |

The reigning pairs champs are out in the first round - beaten by Paul Ryan(Flukester) and Trevor Jones First game went to the wire with myself and Col behind the whole frame until the colours. Second game it went down to the blue and i missed a fabulous chance to pull off a super snooker but arsed it up... Good Luck to Paul and Trev in the next round GRUDGE GRUDGE HA HA Deeply Dippy |

Pairs Knockout. Last years runners-up have also been knocked out. Beaten at the Libs by L Kennedy & K Higginson 2 - 1. A good win also at the Libs for S Seddon and R Pugh 2 - 0. Congrats to all other winners tonight and commiserations to all losers. Better luck next year! |

Important Notice. Don't bother going to "Av It" for any tipster advice. He's got as much foresight as Stevie Wonder. His tip for the Pairs have already been K.O'd. What's your next great tip? Stockport County for the F.A Cup! |

Well Av It, it seems that your crystal ball is getting a little cloudy these days. Pairs - Brian Moxon and Dave Lonsdale to take it this year(if they enter)??? They were beaten last night at Prestwich Libs by Ken Higginson and Lee Kennedy 2-1. It looked a good game especially after Brian and Dave won the 1st frame convincingly. I think this years dark horses are the Morecambe and Wise, Ant and Dec, Reeves and Mortimer (probably more like French and Saunders) comedy double act of Rob Pugh/Steve Seddon. Considering their unbelievable handicaps, they are sure to go far.  |

Slammer Seddon and Potter Pugh for the doubles hahahahaha Got more chance of platting fog. And whats wrong with the handicaps?? seems fair. First frame i couldnt pot a thing but got goin in the 2nd. Unlucky to the whitefield boys for putting up a brave effort on the liberals "TABLE OF DOOM"(play on it at your own risk)lol. apologies to deepy, when i meant that the holders of the doubles were going out i thought that lonsdale and moxon won it last year! bring on the next round good luck good win for heaton and flavell.. got a bad feeling our paths will cross LONG LIVE AV IT.............. |

Well well well my balls have gone cloudy I cant believe the finalists of the doubles have both been knocked out in the first round, that leaves Kookie Heaton and Jupitus Flavell to carry on my dark horse prediction. Slammer and Pooh scrapped through I beleive allbeit a 2-0 scoreline Now for tonights games 1st Division Libs away to Crumpsall should be a easy win Carlton will find it tough at home against Whitefield but might scrape a draw HPSC home to Unsworth with a couple of new sharks in the team Stute should find it comfortable against cons 2nd Division Whitefield should take Carlton Stute away to cons shouldnt really struggle Good luck everyone "AV IT" |

Libs A had that easy win that was predicted. A 7 - 1 win with Big Ron the only loser, beaten by that Crumpsall bandit off +10. I think come the mid season break, the handicap committee will have to re-assess that handicap. A couple of close frames with Crumpsall putting up a brave fight, alas to no avail. Thursday 12th Oct - Bring on the Carlton. My early, and probably correct prediction, 6 - 2 to the high flying Libs. |
